So glad Someone is finally making frames/grip modules for the slim. The gun definitely deserves the support, hopefully this helps sell more and we get some more options.IWI hook us up with some factory options??
Big selling point for me was the ability to take CZ 75 mags! Have a bunch of 20 rounders. This is my every day summer gun. ANR Design holster is super fast and their new claw tucks in great
The IWI has been my EDC for two years. I have around 5,000 rounds through it and its been 100% reliable. About a month ago the spring around my guide rod broke. I emailed them a pic and the next day IWI had a replacement part in the mail... no charge. Great company!
Going to sound like a James Reeves fan boy after saying this, but my two carry pistols are the IWI Masada Slim and the PX4 Compact (with LTT trigger job). Have a really good range with a amazing rental catalog, so I've been able to shoot most of the micro compacts that were on the market as of a year ago, and IMO, the Masada Slim is the best shooting. The Mischief Machine grip module is on my to get list, but running it now with an EPS carry and great great gun. Highly recommend!
Been carrying one of these for over a year now and it’s been great. The mischief machine grip has been a huge upgrade and it’s one of my favorite guns that I own now.
Absolutely. Started with a P365 X. Found it to be too short, light, and not fitting my hands well. Thought about the X Macros X. That's when I realized I had an Arex Delta M G2 in the safe. I love it. It's my EDC and I won't change to anything else. I just wish there was an aluminum frame option.
After having repeated failures on 3 different FN Reflexes, I started looking at the IWI Masada Slim. The only one I've shot had a 7 lb trigger pull. A bit heavier than I was hoping. Still looking for something that could be better than my G43X.
Thanks for this review, James. The G48 is great - the thinner frame is easier to carry than the G19, but for me the trigger reach is a little too short. Maybe the Masada slim with the mischief machine aftermarket frame is a good alternative.
You missed the opportunity to say you didn't get a 'shekel' from IWI to make this video! Thanks for reviewing it, btw. Neat option to consider. God bless Israel.
If the pistol came out as a joint venture then I would be in line to buy one, otherwise I have no interest in another me too pistol. 700 beans is a lot to shell out for a sub-compact pistol when you have a M&P Shield Plus with a ported barrel for much less.
No bullsh*t, I’ve shot pretty much every base level (excluding x and xl models) micro nine out there and the best shooting and feeling (for me) was the Taurus GX4. So, I bought it and have shot hundreds of round through it with no malfunctions. Got it on sale for $250. I have zero regrets.
Forget all those carries the best carry I have right now a micro compact is fn reflex. The trigger internal hammer shoots like a dream. The say 4 pound trigger, but I think 2 to 3 pound trigger feels great with small magazine or larger magazine. Really, fn hit it out of the park that internal hammers makes it well above the others. I can not express how much I love the gun. It feels great to carry and shoot just worlds apart from competitors.
I don’t think IWI uses its customers as beta testers like Sig and others do. I may be wrong but sure seems like the P320 and the 365 had a lot of issues for quite a while, while Sig denied any problems existed.
100% the best trigger in its weight class. IWI is generally underrated, same thing happened w/ the full size Masada. I didn't know about the Mischief Machine grip module and since this is my EDC i'll bet getting one asap. Love the fact that it has a pic rail now. Great review, keep them comin
I own a couple Jericho's and a CZ75 SP01 Tactical. The fact that the slim takes CZ75 mags awesome. I really wanted the OG masada to use them. I just want to put hands on one
I had one because I got it on an extremely good deal. I tried real hard to like this gun but it just never clicked for me. Wound up trading it after a couple of months and have not regretted it
I looked at getting an XL compensated slide to go on my 365X (which I got used for under 4 C-notes) then realized that I could buy an entire gun for the price of the slide. My 36X wears a HOLOSUN EPSCARRY & a Streamlight TLR-7 SUB. Unfortunately, my sciatica makes it impossible to carry anything on my hip, so I'm carrying 2 light .38Spl revolvers in my pockets until it resolves.
I love my mischief machine frame on my p365 Fuse. The grip was already really good in the macro frame but the mm commander grip just feels better. It would be a big upgrade on the Masada I’m sure.
Thorough, thoughtful review that touches all the bases regarding form/function/philosophy of use. Well done, James. Was there mention of holster availability?
Considering how many versions of the Masada already exist, I personally would not be too surprised to see more flavors of this pistol be released by IWI eventually. I actually don't love the idea of the same platform being turned into 100 different styles, it must make quality control way more complex and doesn't sit well with me.
I've owned my Masada Slim for over a year. Love it. Heard about the Mischief Machine and ordered the XL frame today. What are my holster options for EDC as AIWB / IWB?
This gun was readily available in the US market by the Fall of 2022. I bought mine in December 2022. If anything, it's the most underrated gun of 2023, not '24. Mine shoots almost identically to my CZ P-01. The trigger is practically single-action. And, I have yet to find a CZ 75 magazine that doesn't work in it. A Holosun 407k was literally zeroed at 25 yards and co-witnessed with the factory sights right out of the box. I found the MM frame to be unrefined. The grip texture was too sharp. Every edge and corner was too sharp -- especially for a carry gun that demands burrless corners. And the magwell makes removing stock magazines difficult to impossible. The stock reply from MM is that they're working on mag extensions that will work better with the frame. But who wants to wait for them to create another $30+ part I have to add to every magazine just to use their frame the same way I can already use the stock frame? Overall, the new grip fit my hand well. But stripping a magazine in an emergency would be impossible and a normal range day would end with permanent indentations in every surface of your hand that touched the gun. And, let's not forget that de-burring a carry gun has been a thing for at least ten years. At almost the same price as the factory gun, the MM grip wasn't worth it for me -- at all. I sent mine back, even at the loss of a 10% restocking fee. I might consider another frame option in the future. But, frankly, the Masada Slim is an excellent gun right from the factory.
my P15 is 16oz with alloy frame, really good tritium sights from the factory, standing just 5" tall, 6.6" long, and 7/8 inches wide, 4" barrel, 15+1, $530, $230 for polymer. flame on, I like mine.

After having repeated failures on 3 different FN Reflexes, I started looking at the IWI Masada Slim. The only one I've shot had a 7 lb trigger pull. A bit heavier than I was hoping. Still looking for something that could be better than my G43X.
This gun with the Mischief Machine frame is my EDC. I also have the streamlight sub with the IWI logo on it. No optic yet. Such an underrated gun!
Been my carry gun for about a year and a half. Best striker fired trigger I have and an optic cut. Makes me want to buy the full size version.
Gotta say that looks great with the alloy frame. I am seldom tempted by something in this category but...
That Mischief Machine frame takes this gun to another level esthetically 😳
Im just here for the spicy current events comments! 🕺🏻
As always spicy lawyer man gives spicy takes. 😂
Every masada has been underrated since they’ve come out. Honestly a good and modular like a 320, minus the blowing up the frame feature the sig has.
"Once again"
Bought a second one and threw it in an Michief Machining Commander metal frame. Good feel.
The unbroken monologues with clever word play has got to be my favorite parts of these videos
If the pistol came out as a joint venture then I would be in line to buy one, otherwise I have no interest in another me too pistol. 700 beans is a lot to shell out for a sub-compact pistol when you have a M&P Shield Plus with a ported barrel for much less.
Had my slim for over a year, love it…….mine shoots 90gr Xtreme defender really well!!
I never had a problem with the slim great piece.
is there a reason the camera’s been pushed left?
About the lack of different frames, now you know you can even get a hello kitty or glong frame for it if you want.
James should use the Sig macro mags when comparing. Swap around some baseplates and the XL can beat out a glock 17 and still be smaller.
Grab the Mischief Machine Commader grip module for it…..you won’t be disappointed
I have one and it’s not that bad at all. I run CZ mags in it and never had issues
I don’t think IWI uses its customers as beta testers like Sig and others do. I may be wrong but sure seems like the P320 and the 365 had a lot of issues for quite a while, while Sig denied any problems existed.
Im just blown away its not a glock. Even more, props for getting the word out on the PX4.
I got one. I agree 100%. Good review.
The 1911 frame makes it very interesting. But I already have a sig and if I am buying another handgun I don't want to get one that isn't fun to shoot.
Love the jail tail!
I own a couple Jericho's and a CZ75 SP01 Tactical. The fact that the slim takes CZ75 mags awesome. I really wanted the OG masada to use them. I just want to put hands on one
IMO the most underrated carry gun is the Walther PPS M1.
I carry it daily, its incredible
Honestly I think the Kahr x9 is probably the way to go on compacts
I love my mischief machine frame on my p365 Fuse. The grip was already really good in the macro frame but the mm commander grip just feels better. It would be a big upgrade on the Masada I’m sure.
I'm thinking of adding a micro-compact to the armory. My current EDC is my Glock 27 Gen 5, which is fantastic!
i like the smith and wesson equalizer. works well. this gun is neat.
Ruger EC9s I love it!!
If the last round in a mag is consistently inaccurate maybe the last round feeding or lockup is suboptimal.
Where do you even find one of these? Cant find one in stock anywhere.
Thorough, thoughtful review that touches all the bases regarding form/function/philosophy of use. Well done, James. Was there mention of holster availability?
already wanted one... now you bring out the whoopla frame... thanks
I underestimated the Taurus PT709 Slim... Been a solid, reliable little gun.
Considering how many versions of the Masada already exist, I personally would not be too surprised to see more flavors of this pistol be released by IWI eventually. I actually don't love the idea of the same platform being turned into 100 different styles, it must make quality control way more complex and doesn't sit well with me.
This particular space has so many options.
JJR getting that stash ready for shot show
I've owned my Masada Slim for over a year. Love it. Heard about the Mischief Machine and ordered the XL frame today. What are my holster options for EDC as AIWB / IWB?
Adding a $350 grip module to a $415 gun .... sure, that checks out. You should have just left it in the box.
Point proven.
Exactly
You should have kept your opinion to yourself 🤦♂️
Pretty cool how you can just slap the optic to chamber a round. I guess that's a thing now.
I love this gun.. but it's hard to find. Hope withe the new warehouse in Tennessee will open up the market in America
Hard to find, great guns
IWI said they'll be shipping more to the US in December, hard to find right now due to the war over there.
The war isnt the issue, IWI is always slacking with sending stuff to the country that keeps it afloat.
@@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballz Israel’s economy is extremely diversified. If we stopped sending them money they’d still get along just fine….
@@agricolaNah
@@agricola their economy is basically the US funding them and it needs to stop
Nice review but since the war broke out they are hard to find
my P15 is 16oz with alloy frame, really good tritium sights from the factory, standing just 5" tall, 6.6" long, and 7/8 inches wide, 4" barrel, 15+1, $530, $230 for polymer. flame on, I like mine.
Pretty dope combo
