This is a slow, steady and concise video that has really helped me. I've only just got my OXI 1. Thankyou.

I cannot express my gratitude enough. The Oxi One is the sequencer I selected to be the central control of my modular setup, and I adore it. However, it can be complex to navigate. Your videos have been incredibly beneficial in assisting me and others in comprehending the workflow and features. 100% the same for me, all the lit-up color pads can be visually overwhelming and confusing! Thank you once again!

I learned something too! When I first sat down, I was going through the menu option and thought, nah, there has to be a simpler way. I enjoy learning and sharing. Really happy these help. Stay safe and have fun!

Thank you for this tutorial. I just switched from the Kilpatrick Carbon to the Oxi One with simplicity in mind. The Carbon was obscure in operation and did not have much support from the company, and seemed not many people bought it so community support was non-existent. Your videos on Oxi have been super helpful with helping me understand how to use it. I’m also happy to see the Oxi seems to have good support from the company.
I’m on board with simplicity is best. If I may ask as a suggestion for a new tutorial video, can you please develop a tutorial on how to create a simple song from scratch? Such as:
    1) create a few patterns such as a drum track, bass, lead
    2) make a pattern chain to develop a song structure
Would really help me understand the workflow of the Oxi and get a feel for it’s practical use. Thank you again 👍

      much respect your way.
Please bear with me as I am in the process of trying to level up my game and currently learning how to make an EDM song.
I can do the basics, but it probably will sound like you know what LOL. Let me work on something and hope it gives the foundation to run with it.

Thanks for your time and effort Wabbit....it's appreciated. I prefer your sectional, high-level, approach: I don't like spending time on UA-cam and the bite-size topics are much more convenient, for me, than a long video with chapters...

@@krazywabbit What's up Doc ? I'm hovering my paw over the buy it now button and was originally going to dig deep in to my burrow and purchase the Novation Launchpad Mkiii, nairrrr - then i saw a Deluge and my mouth started watering but then like a rabbit out of a hat up popped the Oxi One and it appears popular with lots of music channels so your videlows are very helpful - they're not very prolific here in the UK but i've got one in my headlights. As a Dawless hardware only type of chap what is the learning curve like - is it intuitive or harder to understand than, say, the plot of Mary Poppins please ?

@@twiglet2214 depends on what works for you. if you have used sequencers and understand the flow, then it is not hard to pick up. My suggestion on any gear is to get a few easy wins and run with that for a bit. When you know that like the back of your paw, learn a new thing. Do not try to learn everything in a fortnight. Whatever you get, I wish you all the best!!

In the screen where you save your patterns, you can arrange them in the 4 lower lanes I think

Yes; the lower blue block of lights (which at the start he said to ignore for the purposes of this video), is the "song mode"/arranger

I have a question about saving patterns on Multitrack. Is it possible to save different patterns for each track or are all eight tracks linked together? My goal is to launch clips similarly to how Ableton does it in Session mode. I read in the Oxi One manual that there is a "Clip Launch" feature, but the instructions are a bit unclear. Can you please provide more information on this? Thank you.

    • @krazywabbit

@@krazywabbit - I thought that might be the case. I’ve been trying to figure out how the clip launch works. Some of the manual makes it seem like it could be used the way I’d like, but there isn’t much content on it.

    • @krazywabbit
      @krazywabbit  9 місяців тому +1

I’ll check and see if this workflow is still valid. If so, I’ll leave the video up. If not, I’ll pin a comment as that’s generally implied with tech. Anything in the past is usually outdated as at that time, it was correct. If false information was presented at the time, that would warrant removal. I believe a new update was just released by the time someone reads this in the future :) stay safe. Have fun!
