    Wow, I'm grateful to you for making me hate my 2009 JD 2305 tractor... less. Easy oil change with 1 oil plug, 1 hydraulic oil plug, no need to bleed air after a filter change.

    Just a comment on those pesty stuck filters, a long phillips head screwdriver stuck through the middle, then you can use the handle on one side to break the seal.

    Good video! I have only 8 hours on my TX25H and I noticed the large black loader support brackets that attach to the tractor frame are moving/sliding a little.. the black paint chipping was the giveaway. Just read the operator manual for the loader and it says on page 53 to check "all" loader bolts after the first 10 hours and then every 50 hours thereafter. Noticed any movement on yours?

    I've been following nearly all the videos regarding the Summit TX25 and looked at one at my local Home Depot. First I was a bit taken back by the size of the unit (very small), compared to my little Kioti 1918. I do like all the 'accessory' options included with the unit. I haven't heard if there is a backhoe in the works, but that would be a game changer for me. I would think in this day and age, Summit would have a video on the step-by-step maintenance intervals to assist you. I hope Summit is listening to you and other owners and the concerns you bring up. I may be inclined to wait for a bigger model. Time will tell!

    • @McClureMadeOutdoors

      They are supposed to be having a 37hp coming out this year unless they have changed it. And there is a backhoe available for these. The backhoe came out like a month ago, it is $8,000 for it.

    Good video but here are some tips for you and others. You could put a inline shutoff below the injectors to eliminate bleeding at the pump and the mess you had when changing the filter. Definitely should have pressure washed before starting. You never greased the loader at all. And avoid crescent wrenches, buy a cheap set at Harbor Freight that will fit your tractor. A lot gets lost in converting to English with these foreign tractors. My old MF65 owners manual was spot on with awesome clear pictures, not these newer compact tractors.

    • @McClureMadeOutdoors
      @McClureMadeOutdoors  11 місяців тому +1

      Definitely plan on putting a shutoff on it next time I change that filter! I usually grease the loader every 5-10 hours so I just didn’t even think about showing that. Definitely have some other tools I want to buy for next time!

  • @number40Fan

    It looks like you had a bit of an issue when installing the hydraulic drain plugs. That is because there is a gasket/washer that stuck to the housing for each drain plug. Not sure if noticed that on the plug that is furthest to the rear in the video, but it fell off at one point.

    • @McClureMadeOutdoors
      @McClureMadeOutdoors  11 місяців тому

      Ya one of them was a bit of pain since the washer stayed on and didn’t come off with the bolt. When they paint everything after the fact it just glues those parts on there…

    So dose summit call for ISO32 and not a tractor hydraulic transmission universal fluid for wet clutch and wet clutch brakes. Just curious of your hydraulic fluid you put in. I'm not commenting to here about the brand of fluid just oil weight you used. Good job going by the book. I like the suction screen system they have on their.

    Can’t wait to get one of these.
    My neighbor and his Brother both have green John Deere’s compact tractors that are always in the shop…lol.
    My father in law also has a JD compact tractor.
    Just spent over $4500 to get the entire electrical system and modules replaced…..junk.
    I usually put battery cut off switches on all my batteries on my equipment for when not in use.
    Do you know if Summit tractors have issues from disconnecting the battery for any reason?
    Also I would not blow air into the air cleaner housing that’s mounted in engine with air filter removed -just use a rag.

    BTW, an old trick learned working with automobiles. Never drain any fluids from any reservoir until you first make certain you can open the fill plug where you FILL that reservoir. If you drain the fluid first, then find out you just cannot open up the fill plug, you will be in a real pickle. Just a FYI.
