Once they stop selling them they become worthless not to mention parts avail. Its the same story with every tractor. "Well the components are built by "******" so you'll always get parts." But that never happens. Orphans are worthless. I just had 2 Montanas go through at maybe 10 percent of what they would have been if they were Deeres. To each hisown but I can tell you as someone who sells tractors 12 months out of the year (through my auction), I'd never ever buy off brand equipment ever ever ever.
Thanks for doing this vid I've been hoping to see customer reviews of this Summit ever since I first saw a vid by Good Works Tractors showing his. It's appealing to me, for sure, and I'd like to have a slightly larger frame/tires/etc... I know I could get get good $ for my JD2305 FEL/MMM with its like new condition and low hrs (@315 hrs). It does great for me, but I like the Summit's frame/tire size, remotes etc. I wish I had a crystal ball, lol. I hope time proves it to be a great tractor for you. Congratulations, brother, thanks for posting.

Nice video! Good luck with it. I'm thinking there may be a 6th con and that could be the resale value. Unlike the JD, I'm doubting you'll be able to do the same thing once the warranty runs out of the Summit.

Welp good luck. My friend. Have a mahindra nothing wrong with machine. Parts after 10yr sucks bad. The hydraulic spool valve rubber boot was disaster. Ended up ordering from a 3 party company to get it.
I doubt parts availability will be a huge problem. ITL (International Tractors Limited) makes the Summit TX25. The Mahindra Max 26, Summit TX25, and Solis H26 are all from India with the same 1.3L Mitsubishi engine and are nearly identical. Like Summit has said themselves there are 18 brands of subcompact tractors, but only 8 companies behind them. My first stop for parts would be a Mahindra dealer. My dad has a ten year old New Holland Boomer 40 with a 2.5L Mitsubishi, and most of the maintenance parts cross reference to other brands. For example, the oil filter is identical to the ones used on a Kia Rio, and the OE filter was the same blue and white color scheme as a Hyundai/Kia filter with the Hyundai H stamped inside. The same filter through New Holland, but with their name on it, cost twice as much as a Kia dealer part's counter.
Not really, at this point in history everybody that makes a front end attachment has one for John deere. That's what happens when you control such a large market share of equipment
JDQA is much more appropriate for small tractors. The weight savings and implement closer to the pins is just more capable. SSQA is great, for more capable machines. You need more hp and waaay more hydraulic flow to actually unlock the cross compatibility with the skid steers and track loaders. There are many arguments to be made for a brand over another, JDQA vs SSQA isn't one of them. There's just nothing you can't get for the front end in jdqa, and anything you might think of that you can't, really shouldn't be on a subcompact/compact. There's just not a scenario to share implements between a 50+ hp skid steer and a 25hp tractor. FWIW, I own a 2025R, but also use a Kubota lx3310 regularly, and a bobcat often enough .
I have been looking at 25hp tractors and nothing can compete to the price on these so far. Talking to the sales people at the traditional sold tractor dealers, a lot aren't familiar with this tractor yet and when they ask who makes it I tell them and once they realize ITL makes the tractor and its a Mitsubishi engine they focus on warranty work or repairs as their only advantage. For the price difference as a new tractor owner I can purchase at least two attachments and in some cases up to 4. I haven't pulled the trigger yet on a tractor but I am leaning to the Summit. I am fortunate not to live to far from one of the Summit repair facilities if I ever needed warranty work.
If you want a REALLY good bang for the buck, check out the TYM Branson 2515, large frame tractor 3000+ pounds and 25Hp mechanical Cummins A-series engine with mechanical injection.
It was easy for my wife an i. We bought a Kubota (after 40yrs of JD`s). It would have been another JD for us, but JD wanted way to much money for what they offered compared to the Kubota. Another thing that swayed us away from JD, was their proprietary attachments. Not a fan of that at all. Kubota is all qwik-attach. I`m just not into a new tractor company`s. Parts & service, and lack of dealer support made us go to Kubota. We have 2 Kubota dealers near us, and 2 JD dealers near us, dealer support & money matter to us. Summit may build a decent tractor, but when you go to trade that Summit tractor in, i guarantee you`re gonna take a huge loss on a no name brand. Over time will tell, how all tractor`s work out. Best of luck to you. I hope you don`t any problems with it.
While I understand the comments about parts/service availability if Summit goes under, I wouldn't worry about that, the TX25 is made by ITL for Summit and they make a lot of other brand's tractors, shouldn't be too hard to get parts.
So far I've been super happy and impressed by it! If you ever have to get repair work or parts for yours I would love to hear your experience with Summits repair process!
I bought one as well, the only real con I have is the floor space, you have to figure out just how to maneuver your feet around. One Pro I found is all the user/parts manuals are downloadable/printable from Summit.
Agreed! When I have my boots on I’m always getting my feet caught…. Yes! Being able to have the Summit Tractor app on my phone has been amazing. It has all the maintenance info and manuals in it. Super easy to use and nice to have every thing in one place
Wish those turn signals weren't sticking out so far. I'd end up breaking them. I remounted my 1025R signals on the inside of the ROPS after replacing one 3 times.
Ya so far haven’t broken a turn signal but did shatter a mirror when a small limb snapped back and barely hit it. Probably be taking the mirrors off…. I actually broke a turn signal off on my 2025r. I might have to see if I can switch these ones around!
I just bought a summit tractor and found the light switch was broken. Called the service line and told them about and 2 days later a replacement switch was delivered. Took about 5 minutes to change. I live in Alabama and we don’t have a service center close by. So hopefully nothing major happens.
The closest repair center to me is an hour and a half right now. Hopefully they will continue expanding the amount of repair centers. Glad to hear they took care of that issue though but only time will tell on the major stuff…
Looks like on tractor data, the TX25 makes peak power 2500 rpm. The Deere was 3200 rpm. Maybe you will have better fuel economy as another pro list item.
Yes great point! I was thinking the other day that I hadn't had to fill it up in awhile..... Hadn't compared the peak rpms tho... So that makes since why now! Thanks for pointing that out.
It’s a solis,I’ve had one since 2019,total crap,I bought it because it was cheap but as the saying goes you get what you pay for.Good luck, you will need it
50% of no-name tractor falters. are operators caused. PTO jamming them in to gear when you can hear the gears are grinding already. instead, if PTO is grinding idol down put tranny in neutral then put PTO in gear. I can go on and on.
JD corporate is destroying the brand for me; right to repair, Proprietary tech, maltreatment of labor, outsourcing, options pricing etc.. Hopefully they get it together.
Those are the same issues that I have with John Deere. But my JD1025r is so well built for what I do around my acreage and sized just right I really can’t complain about their products. I have 510 hours on a 2021 JD1025r that’s how much I use it. I hope Summit brings in competition to the small tractor business though. It can only help in that regard.
Wow the price of thease summit tractors is realistic price for small tractor couldent belive the price on mini tractors i always tell people go bigger then they think they want ive used a small conpact tractor made buy bobcat and it was just too small for the loader it had if you get into loaders you need heavy tractor the summit is about as small as you want with tractor
Skid Steer Quick Attach is great....John Deere is the issue, they made up their own nonsense system that don't work with anything else in hopes people would be dumb enough to return to their JD dealer for everything. Having to get parts will be the biggest issue, they're new enough right now everyone rushing out buying these things don't care, but when they start getting worn people are gonna find getting parts will be the issue.
I would buy one IF...it had a factory backhoe option , and a non self leveling loader ...that is great for farming but not for general purpose when you want to dump a heaped bucket a little bit at the time.
Complete Service is the company that handles the parts for these tractors and is the company who handles the warranties. Their service will come to your house to repair them or come and pick it up and take it to their shop and will be their within 24 hrs or 48 hrs, and will be no charge to pick it up. Something John Deere will charge you a pickup fee for. Warranty is longer also. YANMAR has a longer warranty as everything is made by yanmar on their tractors.
the summit may have a Yanmar designed engine in it. my 2006 no-name has a Yanmar designed engine in it. I order parts online and work on it myself and I am in my 60's. I like to spend my money with my girl riding our old motorcycles when we are not in the field. LOL it's your money after TAX'S
I don’t think that you can beat the dealership network and parts availability of John Deere. They absolutely take a back seat to no one in that regard. There is a reason that John Deere equipment holds such a high resale value.
for a fleet/livelihood farm vehicle JD makes sense but for all other applications, JD makes less sense, if you have time to get it fixed or get a part and it isn't critical to have it instantly or fixed so you can get it back to work so you can make your money as soon as possible, a lot of other tractors seem to make a lot more sense. If having that tractor down a couple of days, isn't a complete show stopper, the cost savings on not having green paint, can absolutely be worth it. Lets face it, John Deere tractors are not head and shoulders above the rest, they about equal to a lot of tractors and are behind on some niche aspects, but cost WAY more for every aspect of that tractor.
The JD fan boys crack me up! I’m 60 years old and have had plenty of John Deere’s, 2,3 kubotas, 2 masseys, 2 Kioti, several commercial mowers (Wright exmark, toro deere). As far as subcompacts and compact tractors, deere would be near the bottom of the list (not because they don’t have a decent company make a good product). They are way overpriced, to much plastic, crappy jdqa, overpriced parts, arrogant dealers, etc. This tractor (just like deere and many others) is made by another company that slaps different paint decals tires maybe a different loader and rebadges them. Most of these subcompacts parts are not a problem, yes some dealers can’t provide all the services u may need, deere is no different. Good luck with your machine.
As an adamit viewer of tractor videos, I',ll never sub to a channel that bought a tractor just to start a UA-cam channel, sorry pal. Shpulda left that part out prolly!
Lol you just sold a used tractor for the price of a new one what are you going to buy when you sell this one a toy pedal tractor no resale on that tractor
The Summit tractor may surprise you down the road, if sales take off and supply can't meet demand. The feature-laden Summit, is FAR cheaper than ANY competitor, and can connect any SSQA equipment that is readily available, and NEW John Deere's are not what they used to be. IF Summit develops more wide-spread availability (other than OK-TX-AR-MO), and spreads into the Midwest, it's sales will skyrocket.

Did you ever consider Kioti, Kubota, or Mahindra?
Why so much concern about warranty…..with only 150 hrs the JD was barely broken in ?
It’s a solis,I’ve had one since 2019,total crap,I bought it because it was cheap but as the saying goes you get what you pay for.Good luck, you will need it
50% of no-name tractor falters. are operators caused. PTO jamming them in to gear when you can hear the gears are grinding already. instead, if PTO is grinding idol down put tranny in neutral then put PTO in gear. I can go on and on.
I’ve heard good things about those summit tractors. Seems like you’re only cons are just getting used to a different style tractor.
JD corporate is destroying the brand for me; right to repair, Proprietary tech, maltreatment of labor, outsourcing, options pricing etc.. Hopefully they get it together.
you said it all brother.
What scares me about anew company is if they can't make it and go out of business where can you get parts if needed.
from no=name CO.
How it running?
I done the same sold my John Deere prices to fix got to exspenctive so traded for tym 654 67hp
doing the same thing, same tractor
Wow the price of thease summit tractors is realistic price for small tractor couldent belive the price on mini tractors i always tell people go bigger then they think they want ive used a small conpact tractor made buy bobcat and it was just too small for the loader it had if you get into loaders you need heavy tractor the summit is about as small as you want with tractor
Where is your closest dealer to do warranty work?
Right now it’s either Vinita, OK or Rogers, AR. So just a little over a hour away.
Having troubles with power issues after 15 minutes of use
I would buy one IF...it had a factory backhoe option , and a non self leveling loader ...that is great for farming but not for general purpose when you want to dump a heaped bucket a little bit at the time.
Free with this UA-cam commercial I love UA-cam guys they do a review to get a big discount
@@assyholey4224 it's a Mitsubishi engine.
I don’t think that you can beat the dealership network and parts availability of John Deere. They absolutely take a back seat to no one in that regard. There is a reason that John Deere equipment holds such a high resale value.
I think Caterpillar will get a part to you anywhere in the world within 24 hours.
for a fleet/livelihood farm vehicle JD makes sense but for all other applications, JD makes less sense, if you have time to get it fixed or get a part and it isn't critical to have it instantly or fixed so you can get it back to work so you can make your money as soon as possible, a lot of other tractors seem to make a lot more sense.
The Summit TX25 is their version of the JD 1025R, not the JD 2025R.
I switched from bud light to anything else
put this video on 1.25 playback lord have mercy
What happens if that probably single dealer in your state goes out of business? Now you will be traveling for maybe hours to another state. No thanks.
Because Summit paid you??
I only hate that I can like this comment one time. Spittin facts here!
Did ya ever hear about the " guy who shoot himself in the foot ". Would of "kept" the "Paid-off" John-Deere 2025r.
LOL
Cons are nit picky hope I can find a dealer thanks going green
When u trade it off you'll probably got. 50buck
That barn could use a fresh coat of paint.
Agreed! We just bought the place a few months ago so hoping to do some updates on it.
Duh!!!
I heard summit craptors come with dance lessons and sensitivity training
would make you a buyer ?
As an adamit viewer of tractor videos, I',ll never sub to a channel that bought a tractor just to start a UA-cam channel, sorry pal. Shpulda left that part out prolly!
Hmmm wonder if I could start a go fund me so I could get a new quad?
@@chrisreibold1634 or a girlfriend?
Good luck re-selling your Summit. You're gonna take a beating.
Hopefully you won't be screwed by this dealer as J D always sticks it to you.
Ya so far haven’t had any reasons to get with the dealer but fingers crossed 🤞🏼
DRY AND RUFF?
Lol you just sold a used tractor for the price of a new one what are you going to buy when you sell this one a toy pedal tractor no resale on that tractor
The Summit tractor may surprise you down the road, if sales take off and supply can't meet demand. The feature-laden Summit, is FAR cheaper than ANY competitor, and can connect any SSQA equipment that is readily available, and NEW John Deere's are not what they used to be. IF Summit develops more wide-spread availability (other than OK-TX-AR-MO), and spreads into the Midwest, it's sales will skyrocket.
IT will always bring something. I still use a 454lt no-name it will sell for $5000. it does have a USA loader that cost $4000. LOL
