@@gatheringrusthobbyfarm8081 what was the problem with the milky tube? my tractor hydraulic foamed when I refilled and started. what was the purpose for removing the bolt before removing suction screen? thanks
@@Outdoormaniac3123 removing the bolt before helps to prevent breaking the weld on the tab in the center of the tube. A crack in the tube will allow air into the system and this cause the fluid to become a milky white in color.
@@gatheringrusthobbyfarm8081 you might have just solved my problem. I'll drain oil ,pull that hard line and pressure test and inspect to see if it's cracked. Never expected for that line to be so weak. Thanks bud Thank you for providing good content 👍
@@gatheringrusthobbyfarm8081 Much easier thanks to you. Only thing i did differently was I removed the drive shaft cover to prevent that mess. I originally pulled the wheel off and when putting that screen in there was some resistance. I thought it was just cause I was compressing the fluid, nope... had that oring caught and sheared it.
I guess while you have the seat out, you could take the time to reattach the seat belt properly to the seat so you don’t have the ratchet tightening you get from the frame mount.
I didn’t have to take my rear tire off to get my screen out. I did however loosen the bolt fort the drain tube .
How much did all your 50 hour service parts cost…oil, filters and etc? Plus all the new tools?
I paid about $200, but I also got a bulk pack of red cloth shop towels, 2 of the 5 gallon drain pans, and multiple new funnels.
Very informative video. Can u tell me which hydraulic fluid RK recommends?
Universal Premium Trans-Hydraulic Oil must meet John Deere J20C Specs
Very informative video as usual sir! Did you have any issues in having to purge air from the hydraulic system?
Cheers from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦
No problem with that.

How much trans fluid did it take? Manual says 5.8 gallons but mine only took approximately 4 gallons.
Sometimes not all of the fluid comes out of the system when you drain it.
After doing the 50hr maintenance, did you notice any air bubbles in the hydraulic fluid when looking thru the sight glass?
Mine turned milky white. I did another video on that. Check it out.
@@gatheringrusthobbyfarm8081 Which video was it?
For anyone wondering, you can remove the screen filter with the wheel on

Yes that is accurate. Heath previously commented he was able to remove it without taking the tire off. Thanks for the video. How did your service go?
