Very informative, the kind of info people like to see. Minor issues noted, we focus on continuous improvement. Pleased to hear your favorable comments about how our team helped resolve the fluid leak without the need to take the tractor in. While we do not expect Summit Tractor owners to fix their own tractors, for those that have the desire, we believe that all they need is a little guidance and access to the parts. This saves everyone time. Please note that we are sending you a replacement mirror on us.

Really like mine so far, but I am about to have to make my first call on mine and see if its covered or what i can do before i make the 2 hour drive to a dealer. I just hit 15 hours on mine and washed it off and parked it in the garage and noticed few days later noticed I have puddle antifreeze underneath so that is tomorrows job is to figure out where that is coming from.

Have seen the summit tractor. Wish i had it. The only thing i would add right off would be a grappler on the bucket. Not only a safety feature but a must to move brush and other thing.

I live in Georgia. We had a tornado come through some months back and knocked the power out for over two weeks in some places. My neighbor bought one of the 25 HP Summit tractors a short time before the tornado hit. He called me and asked if I had a spare generator that he could borrow as his was having carb issues. I told him that I had a PTO unit that I use on my 1977 Ford 1600, and it was already hooked up on the tractor as we had just used it for 3 days continuous before our power came back on. I was expecting that he would just come drive my little ford 1600 back to his house and use it, but instead he brought his new shiny Summit tractor for the task. I helped him disconnect my old 45-year-old tractor and reconnect his new Summit tractor to the PTO generator. He heads off and gets the lights on in his house and all was good... well good until sometime into the night when he said the lights went out around 1am. I get a call and he sez," can I come get the old 1600 Ford as this POS Summit engine let loose last night and oil is everywhere" I said I would bring it to him and help get it hooked up. Long story short is that my 45-year-old Ford 1600 had ran nonstop with full generator load at wide open throttle for 3 days at my house and 2 days at his house with zero problem. These cheaply made tractors are good for the weekender but may not hold up to heavy usage. We bought the Ford 1600 new and it now had 5100 hours on it. The engine and transmission are original. It is on the 3rd clutch...

I have one kinda big issue with mine. The High/Low range selctor had a lot play in it, nearly half in play. It was not letting me go into low, sometimes high. I found that spring roll cotter pin was bent and compressed too much. I could pull it out with my finger tips. This was like that from the time I picked it up. I temp fixed it today by flipping it around but I need to order one. Mine also does the creep thing too. I usally have to tap either reverse or forward to get it to stop.

They have changed the joy stick for the bucket so it's not that tall one anymore also they do have a backhoe attachment I've seen one on a Summit tractor here where I live . I'm not a fan of the self leveling bucket either but if you use it for lifting pallets or totes their fine but rolling the bucket back to get a full bucket of gravel or what ever your using it for can be an issue. I guess you just have to decide which would work best for you and purchase the equipment that best suits your needs. Overall looks like a fairly decent little tractor.

My first thought is that the wheel spacers could be made from 2 inch thick solid round steel. Doing that would also add weight right over the back wheels. It would be easy to counter bore so the lug nuts wouldn't be sticking out so far, and then drill and tap for studs for the new lugs to put the wheel on. Of course I have a problem over-engineering everything.
I am looking for a mid-sized tractor or a larger track loader than I have. I will be looking forward to your reviews. While I am rough on my equipment, I do maintain them very well. I'd rather buy a larger unit than I need over finding my unit is too small for my needs.

Like anything, consider the resale either for you or your heirs. Kioti makes a nice tractor but resale is pitiful, just like Mahidra. Something to think about. I checked a Summit out today on a dealer lot...third function on the loader and the rear remotes are a nice touch. Not crazy about mistubishi motors due to past parts issues. Specs aren't too bad but pto hp is only rated at 18. Good luck! Really, with any tractor, it is all about the dealer.

Cheap? Sounds to me you spent a lot more to pay for a brand name and are now kicking yourself.

@@corvetteflorida I will never kick myself for buying a kubota that does what I ask of it and never fails me. Resale value is good and I have an awesome dealer. I don't have time for cheap junk, time is money.

Invest in a wind screen for your camera. Barely into a minute of the video and had to bale out because the wind noise was so bad.

Sorry man…. Got a Rode mic with a windscreen but the wind here in Kansas has been crazy lately. I’ll have to look into something else maybe. Thanks for the feedback

@@McClureMadeOutdoors I could hear the wind in the background, but it didn't interfere with anything that you said. I could hear you just fine on my cellphone.

Sometimes the buy something new bug bits and whether or not it is a necessity the urge to own new is hard to repress. Nothing is wrong with my 1997 Kubota B2100 with backhoe , only 825 hours on the clock, it runs great does not burn engine oil at all or leaks from any place or fitting. I maintain it better than factory schedule , it has the best engine service accessibility hood and removable side panels of any compact tractor that I ever seen .When considering a buying a new tractor given the features that are standard on The Summit tractor make it a serious contender for any brand, over 3400 lbs weight , full frame , third function , loader joystick that is not a rod that has more bends than a country road etc. ect. The one thing that I do not like about this tractor so far is the self leveling loader. It may be a feature that is really great for farm use, but not for my needs, hopefully the next generations will include a T25 that has a conventional non leveling , keeping a full bucket is not possible with a self leveling system . The next thing that is missing is a backhoe , that is a must for me. Reading from Summit website a backhoe attachment is in the pipeline for 2024, but will it be ?
Then is seeing it in person , Runnings and Tractor Supply are common in my neck of the woods, but , are they going to stock these like the orange , red , blue , green , dealers do? The next thing is market longevity , absent dedicated dealership service for people who are not mechanically inclined or physically able to do more than greasing joints puts the owner at the mercy of any authorized repair center that will undoubtedly put servicing these tractors last in line preferring what they sell ahead of them . Already that is a problem when somebody brings in a tractor of the same brand into a deal that sell it, first question WHRE DID YOU BUY IT ? Was bought at another dealer or state for better pricing and such not a good answer , automatic end of the line, private sale gets treated with less disrespect but still not to par with their patrons ...and they have to wait weeks as well sometimes depending on what failed on their machines.
Of course waiting to see what happens causes their prices to go up immediately after their lower introductory offers , but what good is a tractor as nice as these are to the extent that they are if 4 years later the brand is no longer making them? Branson belly up owned by YTM .
many of their models already extremely difficult to get part for .
BOBCAT is another typical example... they partnered with a Korean maker , 5 years later that ended ..those tractors are like Branson serviceable parts wise. After a long hiatus BOBCAT reentered again by rebranding Kiotis , the news is that it will manufacture its own in house version soon , those are cans of worms that few want to open , least of all me. I would prefer to be wrong about SUMMIT , but I see destined to be like Montanas, Branson , Bad boy , and many others like them, if their retailers do not develop their own service facilities.
