Very nice playing. I have the same exact model. Love it. Have to agree with you that the 2017's are reflecting a strong quality year for Gibson. Especially the classics. I can't find a flaw in mine. Love the simplicity. No push pull pots or other things. Just the basics!
You sold me on a Fender American Special Tele I saw you play in another video. I pulled the trigger on a 2017 Classic the other day and just saw this. Excellent sound.
seanarmao - I've owned several PRS guitars and loved them. I currently don't have one but I will eventually pick up another. These new Gibson guitars are great and I'm very happy with the playability and fit & finish on this one...Gibson has really stepped up their game. Thanks so much for watching!
Awesome! It's always best to be able to play it first before buying but if that's not possible and you're buying online confirm that the neck is straight, no breaks in the head stock and find out the condition of the frets and the electronics. Plan on having your guitar tech do a full set up after you get the guitar which may include reworking or even replacing the nut and possibly a bit of fret work. A good set up is well worth the $ will have it playing like buttah!
Bill Dutton Thanks :D,those are good advices :D. I've tried that guitar, and it sounds amazing. But my friend and I had this doubt, that thr neck is not straight :/. So we went to the music shop, we picked up some other classic and it feel the same. Latter on i found on the internet (if I understand it well) all guitars somewhare around 12 fret needs to have,a small curviture, so that all frets sound good. Do you know something about that?
Milos Simic - it sounds like you may have to do a truss rod adjustment which is quite common. If you have not performed this before I suggest taking it to a professional.
Hey Alex - I just sat down and started playing this chord progression. I reckon it's cobbled together in my brain from songs I've heard over the years with similar sound - probably why it sounds familiar.
Sounds great! Mine should arrive tomorrow, first Les Paul ever, can't wait, can't even sleep!
Sean Moore - thanks man and congrats on your new Les Paul! I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
You have a great feel for blues phrasing. Killin it!
Thanks Brian!
