It's personal taste, for me it just looks better on the Blueberry burst. That's why I chose the HP over T since it gave it a more spacey look. I also like the chrome on the cherry sunburst. The rest of the color choices don't really fit the chrome in my opinion.
Yeah chrome knobs, pickup frames, and truss rod cover are a bit much. Thankfully it's all easily replaceable with traditional parts and those are fairly cheap. Just seems a bit crazy, i guess someone at Gibson really loves chrome. :D

Captain that was the most melodic beautiful solo I’ve ever heard you do. I think you sold me on the traditional t. Your solo has a brothers in arms from dire straits vibe to it in the beginning, and I love it.
I guess I'm going to be the only one who says I LOVE the innovations, it takes care of everything I didn't like about them before. Now I want one! If you want same old same old, they still have models with that....or get a used one like every other traditionalist.

So many people whining about the plastic ring being removed. If you need a piece of plastic to tell you which pickup you're using, start playing the flute instead.
Chris P. Bacon Pretty sure people know which pickup they're playing on, it's about losing something iconic looking on a Les Paul. It looks horrible without it.
Haha rob! “Can’t we have all the access” I wish they offered that heel on a lot more models too. I have gotten used to the traditional heel, but that seems like it’s way more comfortable.
Never had any tuning probs with my LP, playing up to 40 gigs a month. Never! Just stretch your strings. Oh, and we only had one electronic tuner to use before the gig! Recordings of gigs showed no out-of-tuneness, because we were professional, skilled players. Mini-Moog was a bit iffy, though!
Justin Willhoit I feel the same way. We never realize how substantial that little piece of plastic is until it is gone. I personally love the Rhythm/Treble ring and the pick-guard on the Les Paul. For me, they are an essential part of it. But that is just my thoughts on the matter.
I prefer it as well. I just wish my Les Paul sounded as good as my ESP. I might upgrade it to the same DiMarzio 36th Anniversary pickups or maybe a set of Thornbuckers.
High performance Gibson is GREAT for live shows cause it's so much easier to tune quickly and not so many can play standing up as good as they do while sitting down so the heel joint thing on HP line is great and it's lighter. Custom shop will be amazing for recording ( not sure about modern era line cause I don't know anything about them )
I hope they've sorted out the quality issues! The best advice I can give if you want to buy a Gibson is to try one out properly before you buy. Then compare it to guitars from say PRS or Ibanez, for example, other makes of guitar are available! Decades ago I bought my first proper guitar a 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Cherry Sunburst with gold hardware - I loved it - it weighed a ton, probably well over 10lbs, but I wish I still had it. I changed to a Fender Strat when I started gigging; it was more versatile (great design) and I also didn't want a permanent grove in my shoulder and a bad back! Over the years my guitar collection has expanded :-) so last year I decided to take a look at my first love again - the Gibson Les Paul Custom. Things had moved on over the decades, chambered bodies and the like, so I popped-in to my local music store and tried one. Sadly, I couldn't believe how bad the quality was, my heart just sank. The guitar was priced at £2300 but it felt like a Chibson - a cheap Chinese copy! I just thought, how could a once great guitar company produce something like this, I couldn't believe it. I had previously bought a PRS SE245 for £399 in a sale, which was built by the World Music Instrument Co Ltd in Korea and it's miles better; a great guitar. The finish on the nicely contoured body was like a mirror, and, to this day, it's one of the best built guitars I've ever come across. It has a lovely solid feel to it, it's very comfortable and sounds great. I searched the forums and read a few reviews to find out what has happened to Gibson. Apparently, it all boils down to Henry Juszkiewicz the CEO. People say that he's an arrogant control freak, he's demoralised the workforce, they absolutely detest the man, and the quality of the guitars is very poor, not good. Many guitarists now think that Gibson guitars are way overpriced, overrated and a lot of people hate the way that the Gibson G FORCE Automatic Tuning system is forced upon them. It's sad to say but this company is in trouble and has been for years. Caveat emptor.
The traditional spec has no pokerchip round the toggle switc. What's traditional about that? Wish Gibson would just focus on making great quality guitars rather than all these tweaks they keep doing. They got it right in 58,59,60 so why keep messing with it?
Colin Robertson cos its not 58,59,60 anymore, times change, preference changes. Les Paul are such un ergenomical guitars to play, and if they can make adjustments to them to make it better and easier to play, u say go for it. and its a little peice of plastic, its not like it ruins the tone not having it there, tho you seem like the person who would argue otherwise.
Brendan Statham you've no idea what Kind of person I am. I was only asking a question and voicing a point of view. Sorry you seem so upset by my opinion. Obviously the pokerchip has no effect on tone ( silly boy) the les Paul is what it is. If you find it uncomfortable to play then maybe it's not the guitar for you. Theses plenty alternatives out there. I just think Gibson and fender got it right first time and instead of trying to tweak or change things Gibson should focus on what made them the iconic guitars that they are.
Got it right? Gibson guitars weren't selling then. Only when people such as Jimmy Page was playing those guitars, did they become popular. When cars stated to loose their finish and the paint stated to fade in a term called "cancer," people sued the car companies and won. That "cancer" is a prized feature on the Gibson guitars of those years.
what i realy like about the andertons site is that they discribe individual les pauls , i saw individual weight mentioned and the top discribed aswell as in wide flame and so on , good work !
The Captain has got that melo feeling with his solos. I am loving it. I am popping in to Andertons tomorrow to get a Gibson. Called in to query on stock. Superb customer service. These guys are amazing. Well done
+Zachary Williams they sound great but its really hard 2 play with. u could put your whole index finger under the strings on the 12th fret and not only that I have like the biggest fucking neck in the world.
yeah the action will always be higher, but it shouldn't so high as it's impossible to play. I play with anything from 11s to 13s and any change of string size will need a small amount of tweaking to allow you to get the most out of your guitar
Bought a 2015 100 Anniversary as an heirloom purchase. 3rd fret went bad on fingerboard. Sent to Gibson after my three local luthiers didn't want to mess with it. Long story short, the repair turned out to be a 2017 Standard HP-winner! Gibson did right by me even though I wanted the anniversary for my daughter down the line, Gibson deemed a repair iffy. Anyway, you guys are informative and most of all, funny while informing.
Missing switch ring looks stupid. The new silver parts look naff too. I thought they'd learned their lesson with the logo/hologram nonsense in 2015... obviously not.
2017 is the year I'm in the market for a new high-end guitar, probably not going to be Gibson (maybe second hand) but certainly not from the 2017 lineup...

Ordered a LP Standard HP from Andertons at the beginning Feb this year. Still waiting for it and it's now mid April and have been given no expected delivery date!!!
yeah, i much prefer they just made the same ugly sunburst with 300 million different names for every time they accidentally added too much or too little dye
I like everything about the high performance ones except the metal pickup rings and knobs. That's a big design mistake imo, makes it looks cheap and not like a Les Paul.
how does it make it look cheap, sure it doesnt fit in something like a generic burst #38 les paul, but if it was something like solid white it could look quite good
What I want Gibson to do is make a true traditional Les Paul 59 like the days of old without the silly 5k+ price tag. It's f*cking ridiculous, in what way is this traditional?
I mean it's not just the pickup selector plate that's missing, it's original tuners, etc. And what I really don't understand is body weight relief. Surely it's another thing to do during production so it can only cost more than opposed of not doing it...
I have one strat in my collection. See my profile pic, Tokai. I have two of them beauts, a Paisley and a LS420, Probably one of a select few around. The only second strat I'll even consider is a Tokai 😄
I'm usually a fan of the really classic looking sunbursts and such but that blueberry burst is really trippy looking. I could see a guy like Kevin Parker rocking a color like that.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them experimenting with the standard model but the traditional isn't really a traditional version of a Les Paul. So everybody who wants a ''normal'' vintage like normally priced LP is left out...
I like it when Rob was admirably looking at Lee while he was playing some Jazz chords progression. He must have thought to himself..... wow.... Lee has come a long way hasn't he. I have tons of respect for Captain as a business owner and a super awesome team leader. Lee has created something truly special in this cut throat & crowded business world. Salute!
Gibson could take cheeseburgers from McDonalds, throw their logo on them, and sell them for 500$ a piece...and the worst part is people would be like oh my god it tastes so much better!!!
I COMPLETELY agree about the scratch plate... the only thing i would say however is this. When I was little, my dad got a 70s Les Paul deluxe in cherry red, obviously a guitar of that age, the paint had faded. But when the scratch plate was removed... OMG it had gone pink! Really was one of the most beautiful guitars ever and one of many reasons why I got into guitar and have a love for Gibson. Anyway, you wont get that if it doesn't have a scratch plate.
A switch that reverses the phase of the neck pickup does NOT reproduce a Peter Green sound - Peter's Les Paul had a neck pickup with the magnet's polarity reversed, so the two pickups were electronically IN phase but MAGNETICALLY out of phase. The effect is noticeably different and varies with frequency. so that the highs have that characteristic "hollow" sound, but the bass doesn't sound thin and weedy, as it does with a standard phase switch.
Those amps sounded awful. Why do these companies keep changing line ups? Just like phones. New things every year when there was nothing wrong with it anyhow.
I have a 2017 HP Standard that I changed some of the hardware to look more vintage but the neck heal is the best ever. Definitely a keeper, still as great today as the day I got it in Nov of 2016.
Leave it to Gibson to have a great year and follow it up by not learning their lesson whatsoever. Colors are terrible, antique burst is probably the ugliest les paul color ever made and the rest range from awful to meh. The high performance idea was a great one until somebody decided to put the chinsiest cheapest looking chrome plastic all over the guitar making the most expensive les paul standard you can buy effectively look like a child's toy. Then on the traditional model, the one that as it's name implies is supposed to be without gimmicks just the traditional appointments now has no pickguard or switch ring... And again the color options are terrible. Then no neck size options so you're stuck with the thin neck. The only bright spot I can find here is the abr 1 bridge stock on the traditional. Besides that man Gibson what are you doing? And this is coming from a guy that owns 3 Gibsons and is a whole hearted Gibson fanboy. Looks like 2016 as predicted by a lot of people will go down as a special year and this will only reinforce that.
I'm gonna say it, these bursts look REALLY tacky. Why not just do some simple colours, and some tasteful bursts. The chrome EVERYTHING on high performance one is some seriously next level tacky.
Really these guitars are for people with more money than sense. You could easily buy a MUCH nicer vintage MIJ copy that will increase in value for less money than USA built LPs. But people are obsessed with logos.
bla bla sure, but there's no benefit to buying something inferior for more money... Unless the guitar for you is based only on the logo, not on the quality, value or tones. Maybe if you collect guitars and dont actually play them... But even then... And the sheer number of dodgy cheaply built Gibsons around makes collecting them a bit silly IMO. Not that there aren't good ones - of you spend 3k+, but... Why? The logo on the headstock.
Butterfield Studios I think I agree with you, but I wouldn't say "for people with more money than sense". Sounds to hard for me. I really don't care if somebody owns one of these, that doesn't make him a better or worse person. Just let the people buy, what they want.
Many people say it. Turthfully, an ESP Eclipse would be a much more structurally sound than a Gibson USA, and you'd get MUCH better customer service than Gibson provides.
You guys are doing gods work by making all these videos! Haha it's crazy to think that I'm all the way in Cali and I'm watching your videos every day because they are super informative and entertaining lol. It's like a guitar and gear podcast. Keep up the good work Andertons
for those who want that custom shop Gibson sound. I want to share with guys who don't know this. there are custom buckers and you can't but it but before Them there were Burstbucker 1 in the neck and Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. There are the same like Custombuckers but with Alnico2 instead of Alnico3. Captain had Them in the Traditional in this video. You are welcome.
I don't get the point of not adding the heel joint to the "normal" model. To be able to do this is exactly the reason why Gibson also releases the Les Paul Classic and Les Paul Traditional lineup. The reason they update the LP Standard is to implement innovations to the line, and there are still two other lines which make all the "old-school players" happy.
Not impressed at all. Two of the colours for the Standard are just ugly. Where's tobacco?, Where's Wine Red? I still hate coil taps/splits, why do they keep insisting on messing with the classic formula of two humbuckers that sound like two humbuckers making a lovely noise? That sound works. It's what people want when they buy a Gibson Les Paul. Why do they insist on changing the neck to body join. I am that person who Rob is complaining about, I despise that new neck joint. And of course the frickin' mini-tune system they insist on forcing on these guitars just ruining the look of a classic guitar. Them messing with the Standard does make me wonder though because historically has it ever worked? Every time they mess with the Standard, whether it's abandoning it entirely to make the SG or just messing with the formula eventually the clamour of guitarists just gets too big. 'Hey, you know that classic 50s/60s style that was working great for us and we kept asking you not to change? Maybe stop changing it.' I get that obviously my experiences in one city may not be totally applicable, but one guitar shop in my town stopped stocking Gibson entirely in about 2014 because no one was buying the new models and the other one cut down from the usual wall of Gibson to about a dozen guitars at any one time. And the guys at both shops tell me they hate the new models and barely sell any. All of these push/pull buttons just make me wonder who actually uses this stuff on stage. Who is on stage and they are so disconnected from the moment that they can be pulling or pushing these out?
Chris Preece You don't have to use the Potis, just leave them where they are. There are enough people using them. I don't like Les Pauls by myself, but that new neck joint is a great upgrade. Of course they have to make changes, if it would be the same guitar the last five years everyone wouls buy a used 2012 instead of a new 2017. Wouldn't be good for Gibson's profit. And who uses so much switches on stage? Did you see Steve Morse's signature guitar? I think he plays more stages than anybody watching these videos.
whats the problem with the heel joint "oh no, they made the guitar more playable, now its ruined" also, i get to people might not like using the tuning thing, but how the hell does the tuners ruin the look? also the sg is a terrible example of why they shouldnt mess with the standard, infact is a reason of why they SHOULD change them up, besides if what you want is a 59 les paul then go find one
Hey Chris, you are aware that all the classic Les Pauls you like still exist, right? From pretty much era. You don't need and probably aren't even looking to buy a brand new 2017 Les Paul, so you're bitching just to complain. You and people like you need to stop being so damn whiny and apply some logic for once, if you don't like the new features, fine, but stop whining like a bitch that others might like a change up to their favourite design. You can get a brand new guitar from 3 years ago and it'll be as traditional as they come, or get a new traditional, but stop complaining like it's the end of the world that the standard has some innovations going on.
Rasmus Olsen I own a 2013 standard premium plus AAAA flame top also with the push pull knobs and a friend of mine asked me shocked you buy a new gibbo? I was just smiling. it's not a new thing what Gibson is doing. Thank God I don't got the ugly mini tune system got looking tuners 😁
serious question for ya... do either of you regret buying the 2015 Gibson's and wish you held out so you could get these new 2017 models??? either way... why??? LOVE the videos by the way!!!
THE KNIGHTs WHO SAY NI! so why comment haha, why can't they go back to a 58' or 59' design but in the standard series, 59's are much better guitars than these

Caveat emptor.
my 2016t studio is awesome and has no quality issues at all. Not all of Gibson is bad.
That Les Paul Standard with the blue/purple finish is beautiful.
The traditional spec has no pokerchip round the toggle switc. What's traditional about that? Wish Gibson would just focus on making great quality guitars rather than all these tweaks they keep doing. They got it right in 58,59,60 so why keep messing with it?
i completely agree.
You pulled your comment.
Got it right? Gibson guitars weren't selling then. Only when people such as Jimmy Page was playing those guitars, did they become popular. When cars stated to loose their finish and the paint stated to fade in a term called "cancer," people sued the car companies and won. That "cancer" is a prized feature on the Gibson guitars of those years.
big part of the fun watching andertons is hearing how everyone of you evolves as a player and musician :-)
That blueberry burst is so sexy. Almost makes me consider getting one.
what i realy like about the andertons site is that they discribe individual les pauls , i saw individual weight mentioned and the top discribed aswell as in wide flame and so on , good work !
Chibson shootout when?
The Captain has got that melo feeling with his solos. I am loving it. I am popping in to Andertons tomorrow to get a Gibson. Called in to query on stock. Superb customer service. These guys are amazing. Well done
all i want is a reply from rob and my life will be complete
A. TAWFIK Greetings :-)
+Rob Chapman OMG!!! IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN MAN. I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS HERE AT THE PYRAMIDS ALL THE TIME !!
+Zachary Williams they sound great but its really hard 2 play with. u could put your whole index finger under the strings on the 12th fret and not only that I have like the biggest fucking neck in the world.
hey man, you might want to adjust your truss road if you have such a high action at the 12th fret
yeah the action will always be higher, but it shouldn't so high as it's impossible to play. I play with anything from 11s to 13s and any change of string size will need a small amount of tweaking to allow you to get the most out of your guitar
That jam on the aeromancy riff made my day! Well done captain !
3:50
Am I the only one who misses robs dreads
Boss Nation no
Maybe not a great combo with Grecian 2000
me too :(
yep only one
Yes
By far my favorite guitar channel on youtube. I'm a Les Paul guy and a Andertons guy
I have seen 2017 Les Paul's for sale Used already.
demantoid shouldnt be a surprise
i bought a 2004 ibanez that way. they even had the box and tag on the head stock at the shop. 200 bucks cheaper tho. :D
Lee! You melted my face off with that last solo.
Can we just admit Cpt's playing at the 7th minute? So damn good
Bought a 2015 100 Anniversary as an heirloom purchase.
Yeah I hate this year's line up
Dan Harris Maybe it's like the classic star trek movies. Every second one is good:)
2017 is the year I'm in the market for a new high-end guitar, probably not going to be Gibson (maybe second hand) but certainly not from the 2017 lineup...
I always take the switch plate off. It's the 2nd thing I do, right after I remove the scratch plate, and right before I put on strap locks.
A Rhythm/Treble ring costs less than $2.00....... www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/Nuts_and_Washers/Toggle_Switch_Plate.html?gclid=CjwKEAjwnebABRCjpvr13dHL8DsSJABB-ILJcc0xp3j7-IzD3uP1zWw72V9V1dBZFFlrq5GsUVCOlxoCAM_w_wcB
What a fantastic jam at the end! Top job lads!
what's the riff song?
So... i'm confused. The traditional hasn't got a scratchplate, but the one thats supposed to be "modern" has???
Cornelius Larsen they all have removable magnetic guards
I have one of the 1st 2017 model ...mine came with pickguard installed ..added treble rhythm puck ..changed pickups , lead pro and 57 classic , oil paper new old stock russian .47 cap .....Faber bridge....weighs 9lbs ...plays and sounds awesome love it
I may actually consider getting a 2016 now. These look terrible.
get the early 2000's or 90's Standards
Im slowly leaning towards them, been looking around online. These newer models have these ridiculous over done flame tops.
Anthony .Varone I personally would save up and get myself a custom shop historic reissue as they're MILES superior than the USA models.
same here I don't like the look of these at all.
I actually really like the blue
Ordered a LP Standard HP from Andertons at the beginning Feb this year. Still waiting for it and it's now mid April and have been given no expected delivery date!!!
I think they should also provide a vanilla version of the standard, no coil taps etc. oh and Gibson please leave the crazy colors to PRS :)
Alan Stokes no doubt. ..that thing is ugly
Love that blue!! Nice of Gibson to modernize just a little tiny bit in the finish dept.
Yeah! I sure hate when companies I like have other color options.
yeah, i much prefer they just made the same ugly sunburst with 300 million different names for every time they accidentally added too much or too little dye
Nothing beats the looks or sounds of a Les Paul!
I like everything about the high performance ones except the metal pickup rings and knobs. That's a big design mistake imo, makes it looks cheap and not like a Les Paul.
how does it make it look cheap, sure it doesnt fit in something like a generic burst #38 les paul, but if it was something like solid white it could look quite good
Gaseous Snake
That's what I meant, it doesn't look right on a guitar like this. I can picture it looking cool on a black/white guitar but not LPs.
Good thing they're incredibly inexpensive to swtich out, eh?
Their ease of being changed is not the point. Why should I have to change them out? They should look good right out of the box.
You should have to change them out because it's an off-the-rack guitar, not one you custom ordered. To look good FOR YOU.
Cap, ur musicality is really good these days...well done
What I want Gibson to do is make a true traditional Les Paul 59 like the days of old without the silly 5k+ price tag. It's f*cking ridiculous, in what way is this traditional?
Yeah keep the traditionals like the 50's and 60's and do what they want with the other models, but keep sense in mind
I mean it's not just the pickup selector plate that's missing, it's original tuners, etc. And what I really don't understand is body weight relief. Surely it's another thing to do during production so it can only cost more than opposed of not doing it...
Get a Tokai 😄
Frans JC Martins rather get another stratocaster
I have one strat in my collection. See my profile pic, Tokai. I have two of them beauts, a Paisley and a LS420,
Probably one of a select few around. The only second strat I'll even consider is a Tokai 😄
I'm in love with the LP traditional antique burst WOW
At first sight, the sign behind Rob's head resembled an afro cut.
#AfRob
i thought he had a russian hat on
I'm usually a fan of the really classic looking sunbursts and such but that blueberry burst is really trippy looking. I could see a guy like Kevin Parker rocking a color like that.
Call me when they change the break angle of the neck.
has anyone else noticed that the captian has become a much more confident player over the life span of this channel its incredible
Am I the only one who likes the new Gibson Les Paul's?
No, I like them too. I've got 2 and they are great guitars.
Connor Agnew I fucking love this years line up
I think they look great.
I'm really just debating on which type and either the Blueberry Burst or Green Ocean Burst.
It's good to see Gibson trying harder.
Salute!
Hannah Montana's Sister? Alexis Texas. Google her
Lee's solo at the end was great
Gibson could take cheeseburgers from McDonalds, throw their logo on them, and sell them for 500$ a piece...and the worst part is people would be like oh my god it tastes so much better!!!
Zack Ramsey so true
😂😂 captain needs to read this
Anything would taste better than a Big Mac. Even a bun with a Gibson poker chip in it.
I got a cheap 70s tribute and it is seriously the best guitar I've ever played.
Harley Davidson does the same thing
I COMPLETELY agree about the scratch plate... the only thing i would say however is this. When I was little, my dad got a 70s Les Paul deluxe in cherry red, obviously a guitar of that age, the paint had faded. But when the scratch plate was removed... OMG it had gone pink!
Really was one of the most beautiful guitars ever and one of many reasons why I got into guitar and have a love for Gibson.
Anyway, you wont get that if it doesn't have a scratch plate.
Can u review the new fender offsets
Matter of preference. Personaly I didnt like 2016 line and I really loved those amp sounds, especially the friedman, but thats just me.
Aprove!
i mean it's subjective, and you're also listening through compressed UA-cam audio so it won't be as good as real life
I don't think there's anything wrong with the amps but these guys do tend to get, to my ears, incredibly unpleasant and over-saturated tones.
Lee's playing on the outro is sublime
All the chrome on the high performance version is too gaudy for my tastes. Ironically it makes the very expensive version look like a cheap knock off.
I have a 2017 HP Standard that I changed some of the hardware to look more vintage but the neck heal is the best ever. Definitely a keeper, still as great today as the day I got it in Nov of 2016.
2015 was a shit year for gibson.
2016 was quite good
2017 Gibson be like "Lets do some ultra ugly shit like 2 years ago"
The tone on that Traditional is godly. Those burst buckers (1&2) have that PAF goodness in them.
They just dont look right without the pickguard
Stinkfist2000 in my opinion i think the missing pickup selector ring looks more wrong..
id keep both if it was up to me
Stinkfist2000 indeed.. Also, what is up with them removing the little ring on the traditional? shouldn't it be like.. Traditional?
First thing to drop off every L.P. copy I've had are the panties.
216trixie whatever floats your goat man xD
Finally I have been waiting for this for so long!
Looks like 2016 as predicted by a lot of people will go down as a special year and this will only reinforce that.
i read your pain there, but the thin necks is the BEST thing they have done:)! I do agree that the chrome thing is not very cool, does look cheesy.
Super excited for this for a while. It's about time lol.
I'm gonna say it, these bursts look REALLY tacky. Why not just do some simple colours, and some tasteful bursts.
The chrome EVERYTHING on high performance one is some seriously next level tacky.
Great playing Captain. Well well done!!
Really these guitars are for people with more money than sense. You could easily buy a MUCH nicer vintage MIJ copy that will increase in value for less money than USA built LPs. But people are obsessed with logos.
Butterfield Studios that is a poor man's comment, just get a better job, buy the Gibson and stop hating
Mojoncito Jensen why would I pay more for a worse guitar that loses value? That's not what a smart man does. A fool and his money etc.
Butterfield Studios If you find the guitar for your life you don't care for its value.
bla bla sure, but there's no benefit to buying something inferior for more money...
I love the color of the blueberry burst les Paul
Wow, rob's amp sounds awful, especially compared to lee's.
Man I really love those tone relieved guitars.
ESP Eclipse all day every day.
Unchainedmaple888 wot
Unchainedmaple888 yay
Unchainedmaple888 said nobody ever
Many people say it. Turthfully, an ESP Eclipse would be a much more structurally sound than a Gibson USA, and you'd get MUCH better customer service than Gibson provides.
+1000
You guys are doing gods work by making all these videos! Haha it's crazy to think that I'm all the way in Cali and I'm watching your videos every day because they are super informative and entertaining lol. It's like a guitar and gear podcast. Keep up the good work Andertons
Single coil on a LP is blasphemy!
Ask Jimmy Page about that.
phreak1118 isn't a p90 a single coil?
So is the P94 (humbucker size P90).
for those who want that custom shop Gibson sound. You are welcome.
gibsons line looks worse and worse every year.
Agreed
They're trying to get the PRS style colours going. Some of them look ok, but does't really suit an LP, in my opinion.
its sad that Gibson les paul has to imitate their imitator called PRS
***** Do you have eyes?
littleredguitars2 lmao
Chris Preece just get an older one if you dont like the new :)
Sacrilege no rhythm & treble indicator
That blue burst is beautiful
Anyone else's hate the new les Paul's?
I know. Changing the body shape was a mistake.
216trixie I thought it looked slimmer, but I definitely don't hate these at all, I think they are great.
THE KNIGHTs WHO SAY NI! so why comment haha, why can't they go back to a 58' or 59' design but in the standard series, 59's are much better guitars than these
The case looks like mouth organ
"only a gibson is good enough" what show of confidence
All that chrome really looks terrible
Lee's getting really good. ..actually I don't think I've ever heard him play so good in a vid
