Oooh....take me back to this era, please! My favourite Manson era is Holy Wood. Just listening to the album, pics, live shows, band pics takes me right back to 2000-01 and being 14-16 years old. Group of fellow pupils at my school went to see him at the London Docklabds Arena in Jan 2001, so wish I had seen him on that tour. Didn't see him until 2007 and although I have always had a great gig with Manson, no questioning the Manson you see here is miles away from the Manson we have now. I loved him as a lanky, skinny freak and seeing him in this show, filmed as if it was yesterday, is quite odd when you compere this to how he is now.
he isn't lip syncing, the sound was recorded separate from the video clips. the sound and some video are from his performance in los angeles, but there are different clips from different shows throughout the tour

I got to see them three times on this tour. I first saw them in greensboro, North carolina, in 2000, the day before the album dropped. My local record store sold albums the day before the release as an illegal sales tactic so I stopped and bought a copy before heading to the show. What a day! I saw them again twice in the summer of 2001, once at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach and then at Ozzfest in charlotte just a few days later. What a time to be alive!
There were some good damn times, but it's all gone for this country, actually I am wondering if Rok'n Roll contributed to brainwashing liberal minds, that now are driving this country nuts........
I am soon to be 61, I have been to all his tours, I have to say he puts on the greatest show, he is by far the best, this is one of my favorites because I also was not born with enough middle fingers!
Hahaha fico muito contente que alguem tenha comentado. Mas antes de ter saido esse irresistível dvd. Havia ouvido algum dos cd dos anos 90 da banda, um primo havia me emprestado uma copia. This DVD was only let down by the deliberate vocal over dubbed efforts that clearly showed in more than one place that it was over dubbed. Many times throughout this DVD Manson's mouth stopped singing but the vocals kept going. Also didn't like they put two nights footage together and didn't even match song to song properly. I wish they would have just left it alone and let the proper live vocal and performance shine through.
Yeah, I was disappointed when I got this when I was a teenager. I sold it after one viewing. It is one of the worst put-together edits of a "live" concert I've seen licenced from an artist. I've seen bootleg from unofficial concerts that had better production and editing than this.
I remember being disappointed at first too. But I think it’s just because they used audio from one show and the footage is from several. So it doesn’t always match up.
No he is not lyp syncing and no this isnt multiple shows. The actual DVD is multiple shows. This is just one show. And the reason the audio sounds soo perfect is A. This lineup was the best fucking lineup B. Manson was in peak form at this point in his career and C. Its called video editing and audio cleanup!
Interviews with producers of commercially-released live albums typically state that the drums and some instruments are recorded live, whereas the vocals are nearly always overdubbed in the studio. These vocals don't sound live to me. Nevertheless, it's a great recording from a killer artist.
There’s also a jump-cut at 03:44, the camera holds a medium shot on Manson, and as it does his expression and posture abruptly cut to completely different positions for a fraction of a second, then the camera cuts back to the original shot again. This doesn’t necessarily mean the intercut medium shot is from a different show, but this is definitely not a “just point the cameras and roll” live recording situation, there’s some editing magic happening. And that’s not unusual for a live album or film or video recording, to capture two or three or four consecutive shows and splice the best error-free high energy bits together. That doesn’t mean the band aren’t in peak form, though, I agree that they are.
Yeah did you guys even read this guy's comment? The audio is from one show but the video is from multiple shows, go look at other live footage from this era and you'll see that his voice was just great around this time
At times I'm sure bandmembers might reflect on how far they each have come as they look out to a sea of faces of a Sold-Out Show!! Think back on the little bars, pubs & small clubs, of how intimate those shows were to then morph into a night like this!! It's GOT TO FEEL AMAZING!! To feel larger than life. A feeling most of us will never experience. As a Fan, one thing I feel is being grateful to all my favorite Bands, watching them exercise their God given Talent with enjoyment and gratitude. In so many instances some wonderful songs that have pulled me through some difficult times in my life. Grateful is my job in all this, fulfilling MY PURPOSE is how it's meant to be.🤘🏻
This right here is one of rock/metals greatest performers at the peak of their art. What he became after 2005 was a cartoon character of what we expected from these days. 98-04 was prime manson before the drugs took complete control.
I miss Zim Zum. I agree that John5 is a better guitar player than Zim techically but Zim Zum is better overall. I think the best MM line was during 1996-1998. Bizzare 97 their best concert!!!!
@@timgonzales2891 Manson did a mix of unsafe screaming without technique (earlier work) and safe fry (mostly Holy Wood and onwards, though Antichrist Superstar wasn't *terrible*). What really fucked up his voice though was all the drugs and drinking. His voice is still mostly fine but he has a lot less control. It's a big difference between now and say the Golden Age of Grotesque where he had very good scream technique.
I just love watching these shows... in my opinion manson's golden age was 1995-2005... although he still puts out great music his live shows just aren't what they used to be...
no no no karelia me encanta manson pero arriba hay un comentario estúpido que dice que mansión es la copia versión disney de dir en grey esa es la basura que la gente no debería escuchar saludos 😘
To think in 2001 I was a teen but mr. Manson here was a grown man singing disposable teens makes me laugh. He was young at heart. If I listen to this song lyrics disposable teens at my age now I can't relate. 😂 I think I was at this concert.
I'm really into house music and a house music geek.....but when it comes to this guy!! There's nothing better!! Love how crazy this guy is! He angers me, confuses me and just so weird to the point that I love him and would love to be him. His music is amazing🙌🏼😈
This band set up was the best group of musicians Manson ever formed. I forget how aggressive, energetic and spastic he was on stage. He just dodders around now. AHHH youth.
JUST AMAZING!!! 🤩 & now he’s sober and I got my ticket to see him for the first time live ever in August on his tour with Slaughter To Prevail and Five Finger Death Punch 🥊 I can’t wait he’s sober and looking healthier than ever looks like Manson from the 90’s again!!! & I dropped $640 to get THE MARILYN MANSON VIP MEET AND GREET PACKAGE 📦!!! I’m sooo f’ing stoked seeing him live when he’s sober and looking healthier than he has in awhile and also meeting him I’m so happy glad THE GOD OF FUCK IS BACK! & The Vampire 🧛♂️ King 👑 MANSON IS JUST AWESOME!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤 THE GOAT 🐐 MARILYN MANSON.
This video holds up so well after more than two decades. Manson at his best was the ultimate showman and the way the band members dressed made that an amazing performance.
Believe me, it took me a while to get into this guy, but eventually I got into him. I heard "No Reflection" and then began listening a little bit more to the guy. I started liking more and more songs and now he takes up most of my iPod. My favorite song is probably "The Fight Song." Lots of people can relate because although many people may assume angry music has no meaning, there is PLENTY in this guy's. Lyrical genius, one of the best.
I am not listeninh much to dark lyrics now anymore, i am more after christian rock, but i still can say that is the most iconic performance in the history of rock:, the sence of drive, costumes, vocal, instrumental parties, artistic movements, the hole vibe i can feel even through the video. And how lucky are those people who watched it live. 🤯
Unfortunately I think it's on playback check the 7:28 when he stops singing and drops the mic but his voice still continues - that moment ruined the whole show for me
This isn't playback, the video is badly edited with audio. The audio from this performance was featured on the band's 2002 DVD Guns, God and Government World Tour and the 2009 video on the Blu-ray release Guns, God, and Government - Live in LA.

I miss Zim Zum. I agree that John5 is a better guitar player than Zim techically but Zim Zum is better overall. I think the best MM line was during 1996-1998. Bizzare 97 their best concert!!!!
Im not even a metal guy but always fascinated by manson. This was badass what a preformance
Ce concert est excellent ! Les années où je l'ai lu plus vu! C'était bien avec John5 !Skold est cool aussi,,😊
what a great video and sound quality for 2001 era and great show
His voice is probably toast after screaming live and in the studio like he has for so many years. Mad respect to him. ✊🏻🤘🏼
If it is, it doesn't have to be. People do far, far harsher vocals for just as long, and save their voice. Theirs a right and a wrong way to do it
@@timgonzales2891 Manson did a mix of unsafe screaming without technique (earlier work) and safe fry (mostly Holy Wood and onwards, though Antichrist Superstar wasn't *terrible*). What really fucked up his voice though was all the drugs and drinking. His voice is still mostly fine but he has a lot less control. It's a big difference between now and say the Golden Age of Grotesque where he had very good scream technique.
@@eyezik5743 😊😊😊
56:28 it's playback
If You got alot of practiqué the voice can sing without any problem because i Will be singing like hím for years and i know wath is like
Is that Mark Zuckerburg in the crowd at 23:10? LOL
LOL
LOL (2)
LOL (3)
LOL (5)
LOL(6)
I just love watching these shows...
in my opinion manson's golden age was 1995-2005... although he still puts out great music his live shows just aren't what they used to be...
+Rishab Sengupta (cerbeus88) I guess we can call 1995-2005 The Golden Age....Of Grotesque :)
he still puts up a god show but the crowd isnt what it used to be
+Ana Pladano Rodriguez good*
One of MM’s best quality vids I’ve ever seen. Great job! Thanks
All i can say is, thank you for uploading, this was epic
i love john five as the guitarist
I miss him a lot
30:42 the dope show is my favourite song in the whole world
Yeah!
Wow, en esos tiempos el metal gótico estaba al 100 🔥🤘 sin duda fueron los mejores tiempos.
See this man live in Hamilton on CAN mid-later 90's...this tour...one of the BEST shows I've EVER seen!! Still hooked after all these years
Its a shame his shows aren't as chaotic as they used to be. Old age and drugs can really bring a performer down.
El mejor artista del puto mundo señores. Grande manson!
Esacto ❕😄
Ugh, Marilyn Manson es como una version de Disney de Dir En Grey
+charly koehler ósea que no te gusta la música del increible manson
no no no karelia
me encanta manson
pero arriba hay un comentario estúpido que dice que mansión es la copia versión disney de dir en grey
esa es la basura que la gente no debería escuchar
saludos 😘
"Why do I want a time machine" #1
Marie Larose i fucking tooo
Let's go
Yup. I would go and see his concerts. All of them.
Me too. For 2001 and 1997 at the bizarre fest
este concierto y rock am ring de 2003 son de los mejores sin duda
I'm watching 2024 too, 62 years old. I don't know where I was in the 80's and 90's but here now. Love this guy - NZ
15:44 one of the best moments.
Marilyn the best musician of the word
Excel too
@@madamemaldives6826 lmao
en esos tiempos enamorava la verdad por su estilo que tenia.😍🤟
My FAVORITE concert and most misunderstood artist ❤️
To think in 2001 I was a teen but mr. Manson here was a grown man singing disposable teens makes me laugh. He was young at heart. If I listen to this song lyrics disposable teens at my age now I can't relate. 😂 I think I was at this concert.
Ugh my first concert!!!!!! I was there
I cannot believe how long ago this was; Manson was ahead of the curve, and yet a product of his time. It's fascinating
He's beautiful to see in concert
I'm really into house music and a house music geek.....but when it comes to this guy!! There's nothing better!! Love how crazy this guy is! He angers me, confuses me and just so weird to the point that I love him and would love to be him. His music is amazing🙌🏼😈
Marilyn manson no fue hace tantos años aún puedes hacer un concierto asi y mejor, y vivir la experiencia nosotros maestro ✨
este si es el full concert d rock am ring 2003
MARILYN MANSON Live 2003 Rock Am Ring Hd
Who is watching this masterpiece in 2023
manson for president
Manson should've played every song from the Holywood album live on this concert !🤘🎸🥁🎤🎧
This band set up was the best group of musicians Manson ever formed. I forget how aggressive, energetic and spastic he was on stage. He just dodders around now. AHHH youth.
It was such a great and beautiful show.. his everything was so powerful, and John5’s guitar made the show much better!
best MM era and formation ever, 5, Ramirez, Gacy, Fish....AMAZING!
Great Big White World
ma manson:3
Great Big White Cock?
I like it, love this song~
Yes that and reflecting god is my favorite
My favorite concert ever to watch 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
John5's Gibson custom is with me. I bought it through a private dealing recently. He played with it at 36:09 min onward, of the video.
That's so bad ass that you actually own John 5's guitar!!! I hope you play it often and love it as much you can to MM!!!❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤
Damn man thats amazing rad.
Best artist.
Damn that was a good concert
Anybody else watching this amazing show in 2023??..😈🤘👿
Dos joyas más que nos dejo esta era de Holy Wood fue este concierto en vivo y el documental de _"The Dead Parade"_ es epico en todos los aspectos.
2023 he is still and always will be the best artist ever
Unfortunately I think it's on playback check the 7:28 when he stops singing and drops the mic but his voice still continues - that moment ruined the whole show for me
This isn't playback, the video is badly edited with audio. The audio from this performance was featured on the band's 2002 DVD Guns, God and Government World Tour and the 2009 video on the Blu-ray release Guns, God, and Government - Live in LA.
Parece playback porque son varias tomas varios conciertos y obviamente un solo audio
It kinda makes me sad watching this because Twiggy won't be playing on the upcoming tour, like OMF I WISH I COULD OF BEEN THERE!
WT drepemesterk WT bloodsiz Lol it's gonna be my first concert soon so yea XD can't wait now!
I may be seeing him in New York :D
He'll be there, he's back on bass now too!!
castaway97 not anymore
Excelente video y concierto
