She was. They needed a queen which she was carrying. the reason Ripley and the queen share DNA is because the sample they used was after she was impregnated
The scene of the chest burster coming out through the guys head, while obviously over the top because this movie is very stylized, is actually really impactful in context. The man with the glasses is a colonist who has been kidnapped and implanted with a chest burster. He knows it’s in him, and he knows what’s going to happen to him. He knows he’s going to die horribly, and he makes the decision that if he’s going to die this way, he’s going to take the man that did this to him (the guy he grabs) along with him. This scene is a man’s desperate, adrenaline-fueled attempt to bring some kind of justice to the world before he dies, and it works really well in my opinion.
Ray Goshay The fact that you don’t acknowledge them as alien movies doesn’t mean that there are only 4 movies in the franchise, we got Prometheus and covenant now, not counting the avp spinoffs
Actually each of the 4 films seem to fit the following genres, Alien = Horror, Aliens = Action, Alien 3 = Drama, Alien Resurrection = *(intended to be at least)* comedy.
@@darkarpatron Although Resurrection had some of the darkest scenes like the xenos attacking the runt, Ripley finding the clone room, and the Newborn getting sucked into space like a weird abortion.
@@AllanElMelon1043 Joss actually directs SOME good eps with Buff. But overall his style is chaotic - good things but bad ideas and vice versa. If you want I can recommend some eps if you like.
@Valkyrie, it's not quite what you'd compare to real humans that do not look like a penis with like 30 STDs given 7 foot tall life, I honestly found it kind of funny and relieving.
Saw this movie as a kid and that was that whole underwater sequence stressed me out the most. The only other parts that bothered me was when the acid dripped on the wheelchair guy's ear and when the general pulled out a piece of his brain (lol). Curiously, I didn't have a problem with the clone room and I actually found the hybrid's death to be strangely satisfying in its own way.
I actually think the newborn looked appropriately unsettling, as a nearly humanized xenomorph should. You aren't sure whether to sympathize with it or be horrified. Perhaps if the tone and story of the movie were better, the newborn would have fit right in.
Yes! It petrified me as a kid, but when it was getting sucked out into space, I felt so bad for it. I doubt the same feeling would have been present for a xenomorph
I really enjoyed it as a silly campy slasher movie. However, this isn't a spin-off like AvP, meaning that I can't really forgive it for throwing the Alien franchise right into the gutter.
While I agree with most of what you said here is where I don't: 1. "They didn't explain why Ripley needed to be cloned." Actually, they did: The DNA samples of her were mixed with these of the alien queen so the scientists could not recreate them separated. That's why experiments 1-7 were mixtures between humans and xenomorphs. I don't think genetics really work this way but I can go with it. 2. "The idea of having the aliens trapped as pets from the beginning of the movie was bad." They've been talking about the idea of using the xenomorphs for military research since Alien. This movie finally shows what happens when people don't listen to Ripley. She did warn them... I think it's a good idea that was poorly executed :) 3. "The fear is taken away from the movie." I've watched this movie as a child and I shat my pants. As a grown-up I don't think that all Alien movies need to be horror movies. Aliens isn't. It's a "Terminator 2" with xenomorphs. Resurrection should've been the same thing only on steroids. Ripley can kill fucking aliens with her bare hands now! So much wasted potential. 4. "You cannot show the creature so much!" Well, that's because the creature usually is a person in a costume. I don't think Ridley Scott will keep the alien hidden all the time in Covenant. 5. "The newborn is stupid." It's another cool idea: "We have Ripley that is a xenomorph, why not have a xenomorph that is a human as well?" That's where the movie needs to go. The design is brutal. This thing is deformed and it's fucking mad! Again, that's what happens when the military scientists meddle with things they don't fully understand.
I've got to say this movie is a guilty pleasure of mine I believe the reason they cloned ripley was because she had the queen chestburster inside of her at the end of alien 3
Yeah, it's a film with some good ideas poorly executed. I'd still say it's better than Alien3 tho. I'd rather have a stupid romp than a dull, needlessly depressing endurance test.
^THIS^. It may not be perfect, but some things are quite interesting. I've always liked the concept of having to try again and again because all the DNA material was fucked up and mixed.
When I first seen it I wasn’t very happy with it but enjoyed it... guess it grew on me a bit. It is a theatrical cluster fuck though but sometimes I like that 😂 I’m surprised he didn’t show the very weird awkward admiral of the ship who took a look at his own brain matter before dying 😂 and when he braced for the remote grenade explosion which he obviously wouldn’t even hear because it was outside the ship... in space 😂 I couldn’t help but laugh. It’s more of a sci-fi scaromedy with a lot of cringe factor lol. I did like the scene where the alien left a trail of gooey guns for the captain to follow to him. Kinda like a 🖕 from the alien.
It shows that men is a more sinister species then the Xenomorph - that's why I love this movie. The sarcasm is hilarious and the special effects were awesome back in 1997.
Same here. I remember my friend and I where the only ones in the theater because everyone else was in the big screens watching Titanic for the 3rd time :P
Same here. I normally agree with Chris, but not with this one. It’s an OK alien movie, not excellent like the first two, but not as bad as he suggests.
Isaac the Worship Warrior Yeah I saw an interview with them where they talk about it. Apparently Ron Pearlman started celebrating immediately after the ball goes through, and almost ruined the shot.
I actually liked this movie. I thought multiple scenes were very disturbing and creepy. The failed clone room is so creepy. Still gives me goosebumps. And the final alien death scene is so disturbing.
Agreed I feel like alien Resurrection was a really cool idea and concept but I don’t know what the heck they were thinking or how the weird cartoony comedy bits came in I mean I like some comedy relief I mean that’s always been there but like what is up with these cartoony scenes it’s like a slapstick comedy parity but at the same time it’s supposed to be you know an alien movie
I liked it also. I love the first two aliens and think they are masterpieces. This one not so much but if you go into not taking it so seriously and for just some sci-fi fun, I think most people will like it also.
brutme06 Yeah. All the people struggling when swimming and the alien glides through the water effortlessly. It really showed how adaptive aliens are, let alone the physical achievement of creating the effect.
brutme06 Yeah. All the people struggling when swimming and the alien glides through the water effortlessly. It really showed how adaptive aliens are, let alone the physical achievement of creating the effect.
Chris take this as constructive criticism please. How you can analyze and partly defend Alien 3 for an hour and yet only stare speechless and fake laugh for 10 minutes about Resurrection is really confusing and disappointing. This movie, despite its major flaws, has many fans that don't completely understand the hate. I was hoping you would go into detail about why you despise this one so much and bring an intellectual light to that side of the argument but you really just came across like you haven't watched this movie in 10+ yrs and threw up a quick rant. Love your content man but this video really disappointed me.
I also dont get why people laugh at the Newborn design. Like, I get if they dont like it in the story, but visually its the creepiest creature I've seen probably in any movie. And Ive seen a shit ton of horror movies
Grayve Rose I agree, compared to most of the crap that stands for horror nowadays, this movie is no where's near as bad. Ripley's baby is hideous and acts like a demon spawn, but I cried when it was being sucked away/torn apart out into space, because it's eyes looked human, and it was screaming for it's mom....also, I was suffering from postpartum, and my baby girl was crying at the same time. All the things Chris hated, I loved about this movie. Especially, when they swam over to that one location, and it there was a fucking nursery of those damn things. That scene when they were climbing the ladder, and Ron Perlman hangs upside down to shoot that asshole alien is cool to me. Also, when two of the aliens turns on their brother, so it's blood will burn thru the floor so they can escape, and when Ripley's baby tore the Queen's jaw or head off, were some good scenes.
Molto Vomito idk if this was directed at me but it's too light on his usual insightful justification for his criticisms. I like this movie more than most so I wanted to see him break this one down to help me and many other fans of Resurrection better understand the flat out hate this film gets. I totally acknowledge its major flaws but It just seemed like he took the quick, easy, and obvious criticisms and posted the video to get it out of the way. I was hoping to see him dive into this the way he dove into Alien 3 because to me that movie is irredeemable but he completely justified his reasons for liking aspects of it. I'm disappointed all we got in this review is fake laughs and forced humor.
The basket ball scene shows that Ripley has above human perception and co-ordination, she doesn't have to see what she is aiming at just as the Xenomorph has no eyes yet knows where things/people are. It's pointing out she's not completely human.
If Resurrection is such a terrible movie, I guess that makes this the Resurrection of Chris Stuckmann reviews... You just rant about how you don't like anything in the movie with barely ever giving any explanation as to why. If you play a clip and follow it up with a blank stare and "I have no words", why even bother?
Ripley was cloned because her blood sample was taken from the prison Fury planet and within that DNA sample there was the Alien Queen - which is really dumb. But hey, Fox loves their cocaine.
A slice of the DNA,RNA,Protein of acid blood. I could be wrong. The movie has both of the characters covered with lice when recovered. Probably preserved by the same biological elements. Plot theory .
@@vincentmarcellino7183 How do Xenomorphs work exactly? They inherit traits from their hosts right? So the Queen will have had some Ripley DNA in here.
@@awesimo4684 Xeno do pick up DNA from their host, but not the other way around. according to the extended lore, the xeno ambrio grow inside you kinda like a tumour spreading roots across the entire body to pick up nutriments, so even if you were to pull the xeno embryo out through surgery, you'd still be left with pretty much ultra fast spreading generalised cancer. just an absolutly charming specie isn't it ? ;)
I liked the underwater scenes with the menacing aliens coming like JAWS for its prey :D. I also liked the ""banter"" between the captured xenomorph and the scientist. Memorable lines: ""Like you haven''t f*cked a robot before"", \ ""How many?"" , ""12."" \ ""an unexpected benefit from the genetic process""
No redeeming qualities? Well, Alien Resurrection may not be a good *Alien* film, in fact it's a pretty awful Alien film, but if argue that it's a damn good action comedy film, if not a pretty awesome one. Amazing performances from the cast, enhanced by Whedon's writing (this film is basically a precursor to Firefly). Amazing cinematography, lighting and general art design. Not to mention to great soundtrack that evokes the mood of the old films. Plus the films genuinely funny at times. It may not be a good Alien film, and it may even be hated for maybe ruining the tone of what came before it, but view it more as a licensed piece of fan fiction, and a bloody good one at that.
Right? The sign of a good sequel is taking something from the original and elevating it. That scene shows they knew the audience is expecting a chest bursting scene but they used to resolve a plot and character arc. Was it overacted? The guy had a thing coming out of his chest. The people shooting at it just saw a creature burst out of someone's chest. It was the appropriate amount of response.
So I have been watching reviews by Chris non stop and have agreed whole heartedly with basically all of them. This was bound to happen at some point. But at least 50% of his critique is built around a concept he missed. Which is Ripley was cloned because of the alien inside her. She is genetically part alien. This explains everything about her behavior being so different and why the scientists chose her. I am not saying this film is perfect it was definitely a left field move to get Jeunet to direct. But I also think it is deceptive of Chris to call him "the director of Amelie" as opposed to "the director of Delicatessen and City of Lost Children". Both of which bear much more resemblance to the style and mood here. If you want to hate this movie that is cool but do it because you think the series shouldn't have been given to such a pulpy over the top black humor French director and it pisses on the legend of the series. I understood clone Ripley was part alien when I watched this as a dumb 15 year old. I see where having the aliens confined could have made them less scary but lets remember this is the future (even relative to the first films) and technology would have progressed. I honestly think the scenes where Brad Dourif taunts the aliens and then their inevitable escape knowing how he has provoked them honestly terrified me as a teenager.
I think what Chris meant was why did the writers have to go with the Clone idea when they could have gone with a new character and introduce the aliens again another way.
Chris you need to re-review this movie. Your so better than this. We get ya don't like the movie. but that's no reason to put little effort into your review. RIP this movie apart.
It actually was an emotional scene. The creature actually trusted Ripley as a mother and you could see the confusion and fear in it's eyes as it was screaming for her help. I mean the monster might not have been a perfect design but I absolutely loved it when I watched the movie and felt bad for it! Whatever it was, it was still a clueless child you know?
They clone her because she had the alien queen embryo in her . And she got her rank back because the company in aliens gave it back to her because she went along with Burke to investigate the colony . (The get back on the horse scene)
The first one may make sense due to alien DNA working differently from Earth DNA, but the second part does not. A clone is a completely different person than the Person their genes were taken from, you and I are also not President just because Trump was voted into office. Not even identicall twin siblings are automatically gain the same ranks and positions as a set.
@@Kaefer1973 also who are you to dictate the cloning rules followed by a facility of a science fiction movie. Why can't a clone have the same identity? They are quite literally the same. Comparing to identical twins doesn't mean anything. Identical twins have different DNA.
@@DarthTerrax Cloning is a real thing, you can't make shit up for that. If it doesn't work like cloning, you have to call it something else, it doesn't matter the genre of the story, It would still be wrong even in a historical drama. Memories and identity have nothing to do with cloning, that's just how cloning works. Identical Twins originate from exactly the same egg cell and sperm cell. There may still be tiniest genetical differences, but you can find these in clones as well, so for all intents and purposes clones and identical twins are the same genetically. They could have claimed to have cloned her and for some reason also restored the memories of her original based on the intricate brain scans of the prison colony medical facility, that did include memory scans for some other reason (experiments on prisoners maybe). That would have been feasible since memory transfer is also a real life thing that can be done (as of yet only to mice, and not perfectly), but but cloning and memory transfer are two different things.
The reason Ripley is cloned is explained in the movie. It is because she had the queen in her belly. They want the queen. So they cloned her in order to get the queen. When they cloned her they also observed side effects, which is why they kept here alive, as an experiment.
Why do I love this movie so much? It was probably the first Alien movie I ever saw as a kid, and the visuals and atmosphere seemed so cool. I don't think I can ever dislike this movie despite the fact that cloning someone doesn't magically make whatever "child" was growing inside them appear too. It really does remind me of Firefly a bit with.
Chris, I don't want to be mean but stop trying to be Nostalgia Critic. I like your reviews because of interesting insights, not fake shock and talking about watching bad films like its some kind of punishment. With NC it works because he's an over the top character, you are just a guy who talks about movies in short videos and I think you could do better than that and have your own special flavour. Cheers mate.
NC's iffy with me lol, he trashes nearly every movie, even if it was good or decent. I like his videos but I think he's better when he's himself and not Nostalgia Critic.
As I said, I treat it as comedy, not reviews. I'ts like roasting, I know he doesn't mean thet, I just find it funny. Everybody has their flavour I guess. =) Anyway, w can agree that Chris isn't good in that role, in deph reviews suit him better.
Alien: Resurrection is in my opinion, one of the best entries of the series. While, not without its flaws, Resurrection presented a lot of unique ideas, included a great and memorable cast, and after the disappointing Alien 3, felt very fresh. Alien: Resurrection deserves better than this. It's a film that should be respected and appreciated for its ambition and the bold risks it took, qualities we rarely ever see in films nowadays.
I agree that the movie is not as great as 1 and 2, but saying that it doesn't have any redeeming quality is unfair. The films has great practical FX, the cast is fun and the first act is good. Again, not great but a good popcorn flick.
BlueBoxAngel I liked both AVP movies...Requiem is cool because we finally get to see what happens when aliens are unleashed on Earth (and not just in an isolated pyramid like the first AVP)
They're both stupid, trashy popcorn flicks tbh, though I actually prefer Requiem cause like a previous commentor said we get to see xenomorphs clash with human civilisation. Plus the Predator-Xeno was a cool idea and Predator in that movie was a fucking champ. But yeah they are both trash, guilty pleasure type trash, but still trash.
Honestly, I probably like Alien: Resurrection more than I like The Avengers! I just watched Avengers for the second time in my life on tv and again I didn´t understand anything! If you like being forced to watch ALL the other movies of this stupid fucking "Marvel Cinematic Universe", fine! I DO NOT! And Alien: Resurrection works perfectly on its own, explains everything you need to know, interesting twists with the Xenomorphs, fun action and over the top performances by Brad Dourif, Sigourney Weaver and Ron Pearlman! I have no idea why anyone can say, he HATES this film!...
Honest Chris I think you need to do a rain check on this "Hilariocity" series. When it first started out it I loved how you analyzed the movies and picked apart almost every scene to really convince your audience that the is awful. Now it's really just devolved into you doing regular, old, review just like everyone else. If you don't want to improve these videos, you should just end the series.
Shabnam Rafique You don't watch a review, because you want to see the host being speechless... That's why you watch reaction videos... Reviews should be more than that... (And saying the badness of the movie speaks for itself? That's just what bias is.)
Emil Fogh I totally agree and those bits where he is just open mouthed and looking at the camera then saying oh I'm speechless really just got boring plus I've always quite liked this movie and also thought the new born was pretty cool too..
I thought it was quite good. The newborn was both terrifying and to be pitied. Very unsettling. Anything with Brad Dourif in it is good enough for me too!
Come on Stuckmann, we know you can do better than this. Yes the movie is bad but you can at least explain why and not just stare at the camera blankly after a clip plays.
Well i had the missfortune to see this movie at the cinema... And I did hate it. The year before Batman & Robin happened (in my country Alien premiered in 98)... Those were bad experiences
Rippley died with the alien queen in her so it fused their DNA. Also I enjoyed the existential dread of her coming across her failed clones and having to kill a deformed version of herself. There was a lot they did well in the movie and I personally don’t think it was bad, so this is the only review from you I disagree with. I enjoy your videos regardless though, keep it up :)
@@lukabeast1150 It's really not, I'm sure Stuckman himself is part of the "subjective critics" train of thought, since everybody thinking you can objectively judge art is just plain wrong. And this movie primarily strives to be entertaining, which it achieves for some people, so it's a partial success. I have a feeling Alien 3 actually tries to be tedious, so it's admitedly a far greater sucecss. But not all movies can be Alien 3 levels of great at reaching their goals.
I have a different opinion, but I respect yours. I wrote a "mini-novel" telling others that the views I have are MY opinions and I don't expect anyone to share my views. Thank you for your maturity and ability to realize that a difference of opinions is just that.
I don't leave many comments here on UA-cam. Nor do I bash or bully people who go out of their way to make free content for us to watch. But this "review" was akin to a child throwing a tantrum. There's zero analytical breakdown, zero mention of any possible redeeming factors this movie has- to name a few: Production Design, Effects both Practical and Computer Generated, Cinematography. You also show an ASTOUNDING lack of comprehension of what this series has ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT: it isn't about Ripley, it's about the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's search for and drive to experiment on what the Engineers created! This was the sole reason for the detour to LV-426 in Alien, why they colonized LV-426 in Aliens, why Bishop II shows up on Fiorina at the end of Alien 3, and the entire reason the Prometheus exploration even occurred! Weyland's plan from Prometheus literally takes nearly or over a full century to come to fruition in Alien: Resurrection. The movie states why Ripley was cloned, it's a bad excuse, but it is there. The entire franchise sets this experimentation into motion. Human/Xeno hybrids, while already a thing in their "natural" form, makes sense. The comment about the "New Born" looking like a penis shows just how little thought or research you put into this "review". If you go back and read or watch anything about what H.R. Giger did with his designs for Alien, you will UNDERSTAND the design choice here. Facehuggers are literally designed with a vaginal facade, and what is basically an extending stamen (read as penis) to do, as Giger put it "Rape the character's mouth so that women are no longer the only ones who have to fear such an act". The original design for the "New Born", which is shown in the supplemental documentaries, had a MASSIVE vagina between its legs. This creature is basically a Human/Facehugger Hybrid, with a resemblance to both flesh tone, texture and sex organs. They also explain away Ripley's behavior to note that it is mixed with that of the Xenomorph Queen, who IS a SEXUAL being that cares for its children. You could either argue that Call (WI-NON-AH Ryder) is seen by Ripley as another surrogate child OR a possible mate, since it is revealed by both cast and crew on Alien that Ripley and Lambert (Veronica Cartwright) had a sexual relationship in the script that took place shortly before the movie, but was dropped because it was viewed as distracting from the Alien and the fight for survival. You did nearly an hour on Alien 3, nearly 40 minutes on Prometheus, and you spent a whopping 9 minutes and 37 seconds barely speaking, making faces, fake laughing and giving absolutely no solid basis or foundation for WHY you and anyone else should HATE (Your word) this movie. This was, without a doubt, the single WORST review I've seen out of you. It is unprofessional, and is no more than an angry fan screaming, "I hate it because reasons!" The writing is solid, but mishandled by the director's change in physical tone. The characters are NOT transparent clichés, they show a working familial bond and depth throughout the film. This film also shows a WORKING COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING of the Alien Lore in regards to Weyland-Yutani and the Xenomorph while evolving both while taking NOTHING away from it, which is something that you displayed of having very little of, if none at all. I'm not saying the movie is great, or even good. It has its share of problems. But you neither articulated that beyond a few lines with excuses of "I don't know what happened". Which, you would have understood the production troubles had you bothered to research the movie OR watch the feature length documentary include with the Blu-Ray Anthology set YOU OWN and have had in the background of every single Alien franchise Review. You wasted nearly 2 minutes of time by showing an entire action sequence in full to pose as one if your points against the film. We've seen you do better on worse movies than this. This was inexcusable as a critic, and even the late Roger Ebert would have written this off as an angry fan mad at the film for not being Aliens again or for not meeting their "expectations" and I'm pretty sure he didn't like this movie either.
Exactly! In the book wren even wants to pull the plug on Ripley after the queen is extracted. But geddiman asked him to keep Ripley alive for analysis.
I have to say Alien Resurrection is a guilty pleasure of mine, precisely because I don't - and sometimes can't - take it as seriously as I did the first 3 installments of the quadrilogy. It's entertaining, downright ridiculous at times, and just a spectacle, you know? It's fun. Also Ron Perlman.
@1:45 "Why did they clone Ripley to be the host?" The answer is because she had the alien queen inside of her, somehow her blood carried the genetic material of the chest-burster that was hanging out in her during 3. Typing that answer out makes it even seem that much dumber. Geez this movie... But yeah, that's why all the Ripley/Alien hybrids that were everywhere: they were cloned from Ripley's "muddy" DNA.
But it isn't dumb. The facehugger changes your Dna to make you a host for an Alien. That's been proven so it makes sense that she would have the Alien Queen inside her
I think the word we're looking for is "retcon". There was no exposition in the first three Alien movies that even alluded to the idea that the alien lifecycle is anything other than a facehugger laying an egg which grows within the host until it has matured and bursts free. So it's "proven" only in the sense that it was established in the same movie that made these dumb decisions. I am a Joss fanboy, but even he is allowed to be fallible at least once. I also got the impression that Sigourney Weaver herself meddled with the script, since she had the idea two movies ago that she wanted Ripley to make love with an alien, which is damn close to what we get in the final scenes of Resurrection.
jmwild1 Well in Alien 3 we do get the runner which is the result of a dog/ox infestated by a facehuger so we can theorize from there that the xeno's rake genetic clues from the host...
I don't get it. Did you liked or hated the chest bursting scene? I personally enjoyed it.I was looking forward for this review, being really curious about why do you hate this movie so much, hoping you would offer arguments I can relate to, but except for the repeating "THIS MOVIE IS AN ABOMINATION, I HATE IT, I HATE IT!!!", nothing will stick with me, sadly...
Gabriel Badea same with me dude. I waited for this so long. But all i get is just this ?? Jeremy is better. But sadly he didn't review the older movies... guess my curiosity will keep growing
Riley Jones So because You hated it, anyone liking the scene Has to be because it's so bad that it's good? ...still better logic than the ones explained in the video I guess!
It might not be the best, but I prefer it to Alien 3. And I never thought of Ripley as hypersexualized, I thought it was the alien DNA coming through in her personality so it's supposed to be predatory.
That was the most critically despised scene in the film when it came out. The critics were really anti-CGI back then. I don't know why because it still looks good after twenty-odd years.
@@Qwufi That was the first time you saw Ron Perlman? Where have you been? Ron Perlman is a veteran character actor. He's been in MANY movies. 'Course, you may have seen him and not realized it was him. Because - he is often under a TON of makeup [ dating all the way back to 'The Name of the Rose' ( 1986, ) up to his playing "Hellboy" in 'Hellboy' ( 2004 ) and 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' ( 2008, ) and other such roles he's played. ]
I love Chris but I feel he was particularly harsh on this one. It's a fun popcorn flick and I enjoy watching it from time to time with my friends. If he hates this so much then I can only imagine what his thoughts are on AVPR, a trully horrendous movie. That's just my opinion though...Also I am beginning to notice some repetition on his hilariosities. The commedy aspect revolves around him showing a really bad scene from a movie, then leaving speechless for a few seconds or saying that he has no words and in the end laughing his ass off about it. It's getting a bit boring. I still think he is a great reviewer, I just want to see more variety.
Yeah, he did the same with X-Men: Origins: Wolverine, another flawed film, he really didn't review it at all, he and Flickinger just poked fun at it and spent most of it ragging on the Deadpool they had, that's it, barely mentioned anything else regarding plot or characters. I think he did the same with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, not really reviewing the film all that much. Now, Resurrection is a flawed film, sure but it had it's moments. I can only imagine how he'll review AVPR, which was actually way worse and you could barely see what was going on. half the time and it had the setting of a Friday the 13th movie.
Alien ressurection may had mistakes and wasn't really great movie or peace of art like the first Alien but far from abomination. It was quality action/horror flick witch was enjoyable. The water scene was awesome.
@@jorgeflores4928 I think you mean Joss. His name is Joss Whedon. Not Josh. And he has written a few movies that were good that he didn't direct. One of my favorites is Cabin in the Woods.
I would also add... recently a lot of your reviews of old movies is 80% re-telling scenes and simply saying "it's great" or "it sucks" I already noticed that when you did the Harry Potter reviews back last year...Come on that's not a great review. What happened? Your Star Wars reviews (Ep I-VI) were so great. Your Batman & Robin Hilariocity review is for me and my cousin what the Plinkett reviews are for most people. We quote that shit ALL THE TIME. That's how good it is. Just saying.. you can do better in my opinion.
How could he analyze the room, samurai cop, house of the dead, dragon ball evolution? I really like Chris and he's got some of the best movie reviews out there, but this was very disapointing.
I'm sad to see that Chris' latest 'hilariocity' reviews are either only rants (x-men origins) or just regular reviews about bad movies. Where did the fun go? :(
they're popcorn flicks, they're not like the former ones in the series. i actually liked XMO and Liev Screiber's performance as Sabretooth, the only really disappointing thing IMHO was what they did to Deadpool. Now that being said, Reynolds was good as Wade Wilson, but Chris & Flickinger barely talked about that Wade, only how bad it was and poked fun at it.
Frigyes Samuel Racz its because of the upcoming movies. I think lately he has been picking predecessor films to link up with new releases. But I agree that the depths of movie cinema should be plunged! Where is my Warriors of Virtue (1997) review! Peace
This was the first alien movie i saw as a kid and i actually found it very very creepy, even when the plot didnt make much sense to me. The deformed ripley asking to be killed, the alien killing their own to escape, the frozen to death dismemberment of soldiers, Gediman giving himself to the creature and that grotesque death of the newborn. That level of gore, insanity, absurdity, and the inconsistency of the tone you point out kind of elevates the sense of fear that i get from it (which is why I love the films of David Cronenberg btw). Having said so it disappoints me that you can't get over your fanatism of the franchise to try and give it a proper review. Even as hilariocity your review its just plain bad, your arguments are basically: "it doesnt have anything that made the previous movies good" and its "stupid". Not funny Chris.
Chris, did you not actually watch the film? Ripley was cloned because the blood sample they had of her was from before she died, when she had a facehugger inside her. You should not be able to post a review when you don't actual understand the movie.
Facehuggers don't go inside... Now who doesn't understand the movie. Anyway Chris is right, it's not said in the movie why she is cloned, obviously he knows the reason and so do all of us because we are fans of the franchise.
ScottyLagoosh He was obviously referring to the chestburster. That *is* the reason. And Chris made it clear in the video that he didn't understand the reasoning.
Darkknight2149 it was a creative way to have Ripley in the movie...ironically, I didn't watch this movie in the theaters because I thought there's no way Resurrection would come up with a good reason to have Sigourney Weaver in the movie, but when I finally saw the movie at home, I thought it was a great and fun story, like the first Avengers film (also written by Joss Whedon)
I figured they had to clone Ripley, because the Alien DNA had mixed with hers, and that's how they were able to get the Queen in the first place. I don't remember if they actually explained how they found that Queen they were using for the experiments? I assumed it was "we cloned her from the trace DNA that was in Ripley." Since that was a Queen too, it made sense to me. Also, the whole "super sexualized Ripley", I just took it to be that she was partly made from Alien DNA too. And so she had adopted some of the physical mannerisms of the Aliens. The head tilting back and forth like a serpent, getting in close to smell people. I didn't take it so much as sexualized, as "inhuman". She was using sensory triggers that were more Alien than human, and so it came across as weird behavior.
That's what I always figured, this wasn't Ripley being overly sexualized, it was the alien DNA she has exerting itself. What people forget is that THIS ripley isn't 100% human, she's a half breed like the newborn. Also, I was very disturbed by the newborn's death, not so much scared per se, but saddened, that despite it's grotesque appearance, it was not like it's parasitical brethren, it did not require the death of a life to bring it into the world, which was always the symbolism of the Xenomorph, that to bring it's life into the world requires another must end, thus punctuating that the xeno is death incarnate. The newborn doesn't have this "original sin" and thus really was truly innocent. It did not ask to be created and launched into the world, and thus it's death always saddens me because it doesn't understand why it's short existence was nothing but pain.
I think that's pretty much implied. The Aliens represent the pure "reptilian" brain which is obviously sexual, so when Ripley is cloned and her DNA is mixed with Xenomorph she becomes more animalistic and primitive.
I loved the movie. After Alien 3, which I hated, I thought Resurrection was a huge step up. I didn't look at it as an installment in the Alien movies but rather a standalone. I had no expectations and did not try to fit the pieces together or reference previous alien movies. Everything in this movie IS over the top, some of it almost to the point of being unintentionally funny. But thats is probably part of the reason I loved it.
This movie was okay, until the newborn. But there is something extra with Suckmann's hostility. Missing Ripley's reason for being cloned is pretty bad. Also if you capture a xenomorph in its infancy it can be held captive. But guess what? They get out, and when they do it's very cool.
I was talking about Chris Stuckmann's review. I hated this movie as well. It's just that Chris didn't analyse it better like how we used to in his previous Hilariocity reviews.
Lucky you. We all continued with this movie and watched Sigourney caress that "thing" like it was a lover even though it was supposed to be her spawn. Gag!
The goal in cloning Ripley was to get the Alien queen out of her. The Blood they used for that was taken in Alien 3 when she was pregnant with the alien. Come on Chris, pay attention when you watch a movie.
Yeah to try to review a movie and criticize it when you’re not even paying attention…. I’m going to suggest he didn’t even watch it at all before the review.
Alien: Resurrection - Hilariocity Review. Erhm what? I have no idea why it would qualify as that. Imo its not nearly as bad as the rest of the hilariocities.
I'll admit it is interesting that the clone Ripley got the traits and strengths of the Xenomorph. In the other films the Xenomorphs got the traits of their hosts, it stands to reason that the Ripley clone would have the traits of the DNA of the alien inside her. The problem is that they never do anything with it. The biggest thing they do with this concept is show her using her high reflexes with the basketball scene and showing her superior strength by ripping the Face Hugger off of her face by herself in a later scene.
Kinda disappointed with that review. I knew he hates the movie and since I like it more than 3 I wanted to hear his thoughts on it. You can imagine my disappointment when I got this instead of an actual review. No arguments, no discussion, no constructive critique, just some words and saying it's terrible with no reason or real explanation. It's a rare case of Chris not delivering... :/
They cloned Ripley, because she was impregnated with a Xenomorph Queen,in Alien 3. In the end of that movie, she killed herself, before the Alien could burst out and start laying eggs, starting the whole lifecycle again and before the Weyland-Yutani goons could take the baby Xeno- Queen. But they found a couple of drops of Ripley's blood and cloned her from that. The cloning process wasn't working well, though. They had several attempts before it actually worked and they got a proper clone of Ripley with the baby Xeno-Queen.They removed the Alien-fetus from her via churgery and kept the Ripley clone also alive, because her human DNA had been mixed up with the Xenomorph DNA.The Ripley clone is not a normal human, she's more of a Human/Xenomorph hybrid, but with the Human side beeing more dominant. They kept her alive,in order to study her and her new abillities.Clone-Ripley has superhuman strenght, reflexes, senses, heals faster and has acidic blood, she's also more agressive and her behaviour is more ''animalistic'',which explains why her behavior is different from the 3 first movies(ffs, you said himself,in the beginning of the video, this here is *not* the same Ellen Ripley from the first 3 movies).Imagine the possibillities, you could create an army of super-soldiers with Clone-Ripley as the template.Oh and they cloned the Aliens and studied them, because they wanted to use them as biological weapons. They actually try to ''train'' them like dogs. There's even a scene, where one of the scientists explains to Clone-Ripley their plans and she replies:''you people are completely insane, you can't train these creatures, they're not like dogs.'' And of course, she's right, the little fuckers escape and start nomming the crew of the big spaceship. They actually explain all this stuff in the movie, pretty clearly,so why does Mr.''I grew up with everything'' movie critic doesn't understand why they cloned Ripley? Not to mention, the whole thing is a continuation from the previous movies, where Weyland-Yutani wanted to get their hands on the Xenomorphs.
There's actually a scene in the movie, where Clone-Ripley and the smugglers/space pirate crew, discover the other failed clone attempts and the one scientist, which they took as hostage, explains the whole cloning shenanigans. One of the clones is kept alive and she begs Clone-Ripley,which is the 8th clone btw. to put her out of her misery. Also, the Xenomorph Queen got some humie DNA,that's why gave birth to that grotesque Xenomorph/Human creature in the end. It's a long time,I've watched this movie, but even so,I remember the whole thing, because it was a very cool scene.I just get the impression,Mr. Super Critic here didn't even watched this movie, prior to the review and just read up some other reviews online,in order to make this video.
I know the plot. But existence of this explanation not make things to have more or any sense. It's "because nanomachines" kind of thing. But this still was very weak non-review form Chris/
I repeat myself, the movie, which is a science fiction movie *NOT* a freaking documentary, explains why they cloned Ripley perfectly fine, within his own continuity of a *work of fiction*. There's no plothole about the ''why'' they cloned Ripley or why she behaves different then the way she does in the first 3 movies.FFS,he even says in the beginning explicitely, that this here is *NOT* the Ellen Ripley from the first 3 movies and then is bitching that *Clone-Ripley* is acting ''out of character. Let's say it how it is,shall we? Stuckmann just wanted to make a pseudo-funny rant,so he ignored all the aforementioned points or he actually didn't even bothered to watch the damn thing at all, before making the video and was just making this review up, from his memory,of watching it 15 years ago.
3:16 I can't fault you for feeling like this, but from what I remember there actually was an explanation for why Ripley had to be cloned: She had been impregnated by the Queen in the previous movie, so when they cloned her they got the Xenomorph along for the ride. How THAT works I have no idea, but it is...something?
i always understood that Ripley got cloned not because they wanted Ripley but because they wanted to clone the Allen Queen Ripley was host to in Alien 3. i thought it was pretty clear, with all the failed clones that mixed geans up
I'm really lucky that I saw Alien series backwards.

I thought Ripley Is cloned because she had the alien in here before she died?
That is correct
She was. They needed a queen which she was carrying. the reason Ripley and the queen share DNA is because the sample they used was after she was impregnated
This is the exact reason why she was cloned. Easy to miss the obvious with this level or garbage though so Im not holding it against him....
I'm pretty sure cloning doesn't work that way, lol. But hey we're the movie going public what do we know? =P
yep cloning doesn't work that way
The scene of the chest burster coming out through the guys head, while obviously over the top because this movie is very stylized, is actually really impactful in context.
We can just dismiss the fact that he's shot twenty times and survives before he does that to the guy.
let's pretend a say he had an adrenaline rush😂
One of my favorite kills in any movie ever that Doctor more than earned that fatality
I like how the four Alien films have each their own character: Sci-Fi Horror, Sci-Fi War Film, Gothic Horror and Demented Carnival.
Ray Goshay The fact that you don’t acknowledge them as alien movies doesn’t mean that there are only 4 movies in the franchise, we got Prometheus and covenant now, not counting the avp spinoffs
Alien covenant is a fantastic mad scientist gothic horror film
Alien Resurrection is too ugly and unholy to look away from and that's its biggest selling point.
Actually each of the 4 films seem to fit the following genres, Alien = Horror, Aliens = Action, Alien 3 = Drama, Alien Resurrection = *(intended to be at least)* comedy.

Not every decision is wrong... the underwater sequence, both how they filmed it and the execution, is incredibly spectacular

While I agree with most of what you said here is where I don't:
I think it's a good idea that was poorly executed :)
Teodor Klimentov it's a good idea executed terribly
I've got to say this movie is a guilty pleasure of mine I believe the reason they cloned ripley was because she had the queen chestburster inside of her at the end of alien 3
Yeah, it's a film with some good ideas poorly executed.
I'd still say it's better than Alien3 tho. I'd rather have a stupid romp than a dull, needlessly depressing endurance test.
^THIS^. It may not be perfect, but some things are quite interesting. I've always liked the concept of having to try again and again because all the DNA material was fucked up and mixed.

Fun fact, Sigourney actually nailed that shot, it didn't need to be faked. You can see Ron Perlman's surprise for a fraction of a second.

I've always loved that chest bursted sequence.
Lol yah and sadly it's like less and less talented people stopped going to Hollywood. I wonder why??
Well now I don't have to type out all that! Also in Aliens she was referred to as a flight officer not a warrent officer, I think.
I'm ashamed to say this.....but I cried when the newborn died.... :(
I didnt it was a nasty piece of work and thought nothing of crushing a mans head with its bare hands.
Aleon38 it was conflicted. Amazing how sympathetic the makers made such a horrible looking thing appear. Quite an accomplishment.
L Kassim lol
It actually was an emotional scene. The creature actually trusted Ripley as a mother and you could see the confusion and fear in it's eyes as it was screaming for her help. I mean the monster might not have been a perfect design but I absolutely loved it when I watched the movie and felt bad for it! Whatever it was, it was still a clueless child you know?
Lololol
They clone her because she had the alien queen embryo in her . And she got her rank back because the company in aliens gave it back to her because she went along with Burke to investigate the colony . (The get back on the horse scene)
The first one may make sense due to alien DNA working differently from Earth DNA, but the second part does not. A clone is a completely different person than the Person their genes were taken from, you and I are also not President just because Trump was voted into office.
Not even identicall twin siblings are automatically gain the same ranks and positions as a set.
@@Kaefer1973 Nobody ever said Ripley 8 is a LT. Giorgio is explaining how Ripley is one in Alien 3.
@@Kaefer1973 so someone that is the exact same as someone else is not the same. Got it.
The reason Ripley is cloned is explained in the movie. It is because she had the queen in her belly. They want the queen. So they cloned her in order to get the queen. When they cloned her they also observed side effects, which is why they kept here alive, as an experiment.
This movie sucks
@@ProtagonisTeneT it's a fun watch, and Ron Perlman is just... Ron Perlman
Sounds stupid.
@@ProtagonisTeneTyeah but I’m still gonna watch it I’m already half an hour in
Why do I love this movie so much? It was probably the first Alien movie I ever saw as a kid, and the visuals and atmosphere seemed so cool. I don't think I can ever dislike this movie despite the fact that cloning someone doesn't magically make whatever "child" was growing inside them appear too. It really does remind me of Firefly a bit with.
this is the only Alien Movie I could watch in a theater. And I honestly liked that movie, it’s a great popcorn movie.
The scene with Ripley killing the disfigured clone-ripley is priceless!
Cheers mate.
oh god, Nostalgia Critic. Cringe-worthy reviews I cannot sit through.
Well, I like NC but I come to Chris' channel for something different. And I don't treat NC stuff as reviews.
Agreed! There's a big line between being funny...and trying too hard with cliche humor to be funny...
Winona Ryder looks impossibly cute in this. I think that that’s the only good thing about the movie, looking at her cuteness.
Not gonna lie, but I agree with u
I agree completely. I thought I was the only one.
Simp
Because it's Winona Ryder she's impossibly cute in every movie
Alien: Resurrection is in my opinion, one of the best entries of the series. While, not without its flaws, Resurrection presented a lot of unique ideas, included a great and memorable cast, and after the disappointing Alien 3, felt very fresh. Alien: Resurrection deserves better than this. It's a film that should be respected and appreciated for its ambition and the bold risks it took, qualities we rarely ever see in films nowadays.
Horrible movie. More like a comedy. Just like Predator has its own Alien Resurrection now with te latest film
I agree that the movie is not as great as 1 and 2, but saying that it doesn't have any redeeming quality is unfair. The films has great practical FX, the cast is fun and the first act is good. Again, not great but a good popcorn flick.
I thought the first AVP was ok. But there is no excuse for Requiem.
i hate requiem so much
It's incredibly stupid, but at least it had some good predator/alien action. But yes, fuck requiem
BlueBoxAngel you could find better Predator/Alien action on pornhub
BlueBoxAngel I liked both AVP movies...Requiem is cool because we finally get to see what happens when aliens are unleashed on Earth (and not just in an isolated pyramid like the first AVP)
They're both stupid, trashy popcorn flicks tbh, though I actually prefer Requiem cause like a previous commentor said we get to see xenomorphs clash with human civilisation. Plus the Predator-Xeno was a cool idea and Predator in that movie was a fucking champ. But yeah they are both trash, guilty pleasure type trash, but still trash.
This film is my guilty pleasure.
Same here! :-)
I don't feel guilty at all for liking it.
Why Hilariocity? This movie was just fucking awesome!!
I have no idea why anyone can say, he HATES this film!...
billosmal987 Nobody else like this comment. Keep it at 69
Honest Chris I think you need to do a rain check on this "Hilariocity" series. When it first started out it I loved how you analyzed the movies and picked apart almost every scene to really convince your audience that the is awful. Now it's really just devolved into you doing regular, old, review just like everyone else. If you don't want to improve these videos, you should just end the series.
Dank 420 there was nothing really to pick apart about this movie it spoke for itself that is why he was speechless.
Shabnam Rafique You don't watch a review, because you want to see the host being speechless... That's why you watch reaction videos... Reviews should be more than that... (And saying the badness of the movie speaks for itself? That's just what bias is.)
Yep, and his X-Men Origins Wolverine one was the worst so far.
Emil Fogh I totally agree and those bits where he is just open mouthed and looking at the camera then saying oh I'm speechless really just got boring plus I've always quite liked this movie and also thought the new born was pretty cool too..
He did end it
I liked it even with it's bizarre quirks.
NeoSe7ens why did you like it, then?
Agreed. I liked it.
agreed this film wasnt that bad there are far worse even within the alien franchise like alien 3. It definetely didnt deserve a hilariocity review.
3rd best movie in the series after 1 and 2.
You were surprised people hated it? Go watch Aliens 1and 2 again then see if your still surprised!
I actually paid to see this in the theaters, and 26 years later, I’m still pissed off!!
I thought it was quite good. The newborn was both terrifying and to be pitied. Very unsettling. Anything with Brad Dourif in it is good enough for me too!
Brad Dourif is the man
Loved resurrection, one of my favourite films from my childhood 😂
Haha thats crazy...
You need help
Yeah me too
But its not for everyone as we see
Come on Stuckmann, we know you can do better than this. Yes the movie is bad but you can at least explain why and not just stare at the camera blankly after a clip plays.
Euan McKenna Woah, there's more negative reviews in his comment section, lol
Just go watch the movie thats all you need to do..
Well i had the missfortune to see this movie at the cinema... And I did hate it. The year before Batman & Robin happened (in my country Alien premiered in 98)... Those were bad experiences
Hey, he grew up with that camera, lots of childhood memories are linked with it. He's just lost in day dreams.
I thought that scene was kinda cool in a hokey way, then he goes and does that, and I'm like, "what?"
I love this movie for many reasons but in short, this movie is an ode to body horror, and it does accomplish that to the fullest.
Sean Martin I never thought of it that way
Sean Martin that’s a really messed up scene especially with 7 being alive
Sean Martin.. your joking right? This movie was downright trash. It’s not a matter of opinion it’s a proven scientific fact.
Joshua Elam man I would watch you review a movie after reading that. So true
Great comment! Def more work behind this comment than Stuckmanns review.
"I don't leave many comments, but when I do it's spectacular" - Joshua Elam
Joshua Elam Wow, thank you for this outstanding comment. I learned more from this than Stuckmann's review (or lack thereof).
I, for one, would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new comment overlord, Joshua Elam.
She is cloned so the military can get the alien queen.
They never really cared about Ripley.
Yeah, they also were just experimenting.
Thank you!
That's not how DNA works. But whatever.
The strangest this is I actually call this one of my guilty pleasure movies. But I just can't argue with your reviews.
He hated it, obviously. The only way I can see somebody liking that scene is from a "so bad it's good" perspective.
Riley Jones So because You hated it, anyone liking the scene Has to be because it's so bad that it's good?
...still better logic than the ones explained in the video I guess!
0:06 that scene alone took the words right out of my mouth
I gotta say...Chris tucking his drawstrings into his hoodie bothers me far more than I want it to. I'm sorry.

It might not be the best, but I prefer it to Alien 3.
And I never thought of Ripley as hypersexualized, I thought it was the alien DNA coming through in her personality so it's supposed to be predatory.
I thought the Xenomorphs swimming through the water was pretty cool!
Definitely. Added something new into the franchise
That was the most critically despised scene in the film when it came out. The critics were really anti-CGI back then. I don't know why because it still looks good after twenty-odd years.

I agree. I'm getting tired of his fucking antics. Your shtick is getting old, dude.
EKTORAS FOUSSEKIS I agree.
I can only imagine how he'll review AVPR, which was actually way worse and you could barely see what was going on. half the time and it had the setting of a Friday the 13th movie.

it isn't as bad as the other hilariocities I agree, but it nails the hilarious point quite good, so it deserves a spot here imo.
Sorry Chris but that has to be one of your worst reviews. No analysis, no in depth look, it just felt rushed.
Stephen Miller How can one analyze a piece of shit?
07foxmulder its color, size, shape, texture and smell for starters.
How could he analyze the room, samurai cop, house of the dead, dragon ball evolution? I really like Chris and he's got some of the best movie reviews out there, but this was very disapointing.
I really liked the movie. Campy in a comic book way and fun
I'm sad to see that Chris' latest 'hilariocity' reviews are either only rants (x-men origins) or just regular reviews about bad movies. Where did the fun go? :(
X-Men Origins and Alien Resurrection are anything but "fun." They are insults to their namesakes.
Frigyes Samuel Racz same I'm sad to see that to
they're popcorn flicks, they're not like the former ones in the series. i actually liked XMO and Liev Screiber's performance as Sabretooth, the only really disappointing thing IMHO was what they did to Deadpool. Now that being said, Reynolds was good as Wade Wilson, but Chris & Flickinger barely talked about that Wade, only how bad it was and poked fun at it.
i thought the power rangers one was hilarious honestly
I had seen the previous Alien films on home video but Resurrection was the first Alien movie I saw in theaters.
For all its sins, the film looked pretty good stylistically.
@@rapidreaders7741 Same could be said about 99,99% of new Hollywood stuff :)
@Rob G well it is an alien film.
Except the shot where the ship crashed into earth
miss these so much. 7 years later and we haven't gotten anything as good as these hilariocities in a long time from Chris.
ScottyLagoosh
He was obviously referring to the chestburster.
VietnamD0820
I wish Joss Whedon directed. I didn't like the directing in this film, but I saw untapped potential throughout.
Sexualized nature of Clone Ripley could be attributed to the serpentine nature of the Alien. If you wantes to credit depth to some of the writing.
Yeah, I felt like that was pretty well interpreted in the movie.
Chris... all you did was just laugh and stare... where was the nitpicking and analysing of scenes....
This was a really bad review
I was talking about Chris Stuckmann's review. I hated this movie as well. It's just that Chris didn't analyse it better like how we used to in his previous Hilariocity reviews.
Lucky you. We all continued with this movie and watched Sigourney caress that "thing" like it was a lover even though it was supposed to be her spawn. Gag!
Siddharth UP Not a heck of a lot to analyze. It's a poor film all around.
Daniel Walker Because he's reviewing them all before the new one comes out. Unfortunately this is part of the series.
I would have liked it to be like the other review but not 50 minutes.
The goal in cloning Ripley was to get the Alien queen out of her. The Blood they used for that was taken in Alien 3 when she was pregnant with the alien. Come on Chris, pay attention when you watch a movie.
Darkness1984 I don't know why anyone has a hard time understanding why Ripley was cloned
i know, right? it was said in the movie. i don't think chris was paying attention, he did the same with the alien 3 review.
I know right.
Yeah to try to review a movie and criticize it when you’re not even paying attention…. I’m going to suggest he didn’t even watch it at all before the review.
This is a total guilty pleasure & Ripley is smokin in this.
It's Chris worst video ever.
contrapassose7en
I would say his 3rd worst video. His BvS rewrite video and Rogue One analysis video are worse IMO
Galloglaoch You couldn't have said it any better. was really looking forward to this one but was extremely disappointed
Galloglaoch He could be exhausted from that hour long debate of Alien 3 with Brando?
Galloglaoch But I get what your saying
He likes Lara Croft movies but hates this one?!
rIplEY iS tOo sExUaL
Oh please, like you haven t fcked a robot before???
You know you're in for a ride, when the name "PITOF" appears in the opening credits.
I've talked to people who like this movie more than Alien 3.
Yes. There are many of us like that. But it's not really a statement about the quality of Resurrection so much as how much we hate Alien 3.
I felt asleep for A3. At least this one kept me excited even if it was cheesy.
Sean Chandler Talks About, pretty much. For many fans, Alien 3 was (literally) doomed from the start.
Make a Hilariocity Review about this review.
"I grew up with reviews"
N3bur _ wtf? Lol
N3bur _ shows photo of him with aliens.
shots fired.
Hilariocity Review-Ception
Not to mention, the whole thing is a continuation from the previous movies, where Weyland-Yutani wanted to get their hands on the Xenomorphs.
doubleP Exactly. This was a disappointing review.
How THAT works I have no idea, but it is...something?
as you can tell Chris really loves Alien: Resurrection lol
Jack O' Neill I disagree. If you listen close I think he thought it had some flaws.
"...You can't always show it on frame, keep that shit hidden, Ridley Scott and James Cameron understood that"
*Alien Convenant* - "hold my beer..."
Under-*STOOD.*
i always understood that Ripley got cloned not because they wanted Ripley but because they wanted to clone the Allen Queen Ripley was host to in Alien 3. i thought it was pretty clear, with all the failed clones that mixed geans up
it's explained in the movie, well duh
The basketball scene really makes this film an A+ cmon now chris
an unexpected benefit from the genetic process
This movie was good and scared the shit outta me when I was a youngin, specialy the ending scene with the hybrid getting sucked out.
