It doesn't take itself to serious, which is just an absolute must if you try to sell a concept like this. (look at the new bumblebee movie, no humour, nothing risky, it's just not worthy of rewatching. Just watch and forget.) I just fucking love the Military/Human/Transformers combined arms deal. Humans fighting along side the transformers in that desert at the end? Gets my diamonds EVERYTIME! It's all a visual effects porn haha. Much like TENET or the 300. Don't go to much in to the logic of the film or you'll find it seriously flawed. It's a visual hype, a stimulant, a motivator. Gets the blood pumping (no, not to that part of the body, although... The women in this movie.. Haha, nobody could ever get away with doing something as perverted in modern cinema) I can watch that 3 v 1 with Optimus in forest over and over. It is simply the best optimus content out there. Diming down on the humour, the explosion, the over the topness. It wouldn't work. The three films have their rules, they know what they(as movies) are. It's like how the 300 takes the story of the Spartans(with the comic as a proxy) and chooses to portray it in a god like manner. These men were more than human. The story is told as one would have magnificently told about them all those years ago, to peptalk the men, rally them up, steam them up for battle. THAT's how you approach this movie. A concept like this shouldn't be taken seriously or the movie will flop. Surely form a technical standpoint it might be better, the ratings and reviews might be better, structure wise it might be better, but it will never strike that same feeling.

As an edgy middle schooler, this movie was one of my favorites. Crude humor, sex jokes, and explosions were like top quality cinema for me back then. Now... not so much lol. This movie is pretty bad, not as bad as Age of Extinction where they truly missed the entire point of Transformers, but definitely down there.

I’m here from 2019 and The first thing I notice are the arms. I didn’t think many things have changed but you can definitely see your improvements now.
I watched it some months ago. I thought it was horrible from start to finish. The only cool parts were the forest battle, the devastator (fucking awesome robot), and every scene with the fallen and jetfire. Transformers 3 was the opposite for me. I thought it was fun from start to finish. And that giant driller-worm robot was scary as hell. Hated transformers 4 even more than 2. Not even gonna bother watching transformers 5.
I still absolutely love the music they used for this movie...I still remember buying the Soundtrack and listening to it over and over again. Easily the best thing about this movie, and I applaud the music choices.

That makes no sense. The information was already contained in the sliver itself. The sliver had that power, meaning it was contained inside something. Plus, if the information was dissipated once the cube was destroyed, why would information still be in it? The cube was the container of the energy. Without it, the energy disappears. The sliver is a piece of the container that can no longer contain the sparks. This means that no energy should be in it at all, and if energy can be contained inside it, why should it need a new container? IT'S ALREADY IN ONE!!!

Sounds exactly like something I said about all Bayformers movies (the only exception being Transformers 4) (the ONLY redeeming quality of the Bayformers films is that while they are not perfect because they’re too good for Michael Bay, they at least have rocking soundtracks.).
Widely recognised as the most reviled movie was 2009. Sure, it was a misfire but in my opinion it's Oscar-worthy in comparison to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Year One, and Dragonball Evolution.
That movie was basically an Adam Sandler movie with robots. I once watched a youtube video about how Michael Bay might be trolling the average american audience member with his movies and the more I think about it, the more plausible it seems.
It's honestly super sad because ROTF had the potential to be the best movie. The story of Optimus dying and the others struggling to take down an ancient decepticon is interesting. The devastator. The forest scene. The TRANSFORMERS. That's what we come for!

There were parts in this and DOTM that I liked (more so in the third). But to me, the best part was Optimus vs Megatron, Starscream and Grindor in the forest. The writing for this one was hurt by the strikes that year. But the only transformers sequel that I enjoyed 95% of was AoE, since it actually went through with the story of humans turning on the Autobots (which was done half-assed in films 2 and 3), while also starting alot of new plot points (being the transformers creators and the dinobots, which will be expanded on in the TLK).
I love the part when they are in Egypt, and they drive into the gunfire and it cuts to the roommates face and he starts whimpering. It's like the battle takes off from there. Love this movie.

As an edgy middle schooler, this movie was one of my favorites. Crude humor, sex jokes, and explosions were like top quality cinema for me back then. Now... not so much lol. This movie is pretty bad, not as bad as Age of Extinction where they truly missed the entire point of Transformers, but definitely down there.

My favourite Michael Bay films are The Rock and Armageddon.

It's kind of like me and The Cat in the Hat. As a film it's not very good, as an adaptation it's really bad. But I still laugh my ass off whenever I see Mike Myers on screen and the main reason why I even watch (let alone enjoy) the film is based all on nostalgia :/
That might be because the production value is great, despite those MANY flaws. Effects, action, sound design, cinematography, soundtrack (the actual soundtrack, not the pop songs playlist), action sequences. All of that is great

I watched it some months ago. I thought it was horrible from start to finish. The only cool parts were the forest battle, the devastator (fucking awesome robot), and every scene with the fallen and jetfire. Transformers 3 was the opposite for me. I thought it was fun from start to finish. And that giant driller-worm robot was scary as hell. Hated transformers 4 even more than 2. Not even gonna bother watching transformers 5.

I still absolutely love the music they used for this movie...I still remember buying the Soundtrack and listening to it over and over again. Easily the best thing about this movie, and I applaud the music choices.

This is a personal guilty pleasure of mine, I never had cable TV so I could never watch the animated show but Bayformers introduced me to this universe and as an 11 year old this movie was amazing! I still think this movie deserves the so bad its good status because, although nonsensical, it is entertaining and I will always defend the first 2 movies especially the first!

That makes no sense. The information was already contained in the sliver itself. The sliver had that power, meaning it was contained inside something. Plus, if the information was dissipated once the cube was destroyed, why would information still be in it? The cube was the container of the energy. Without it, the energy disappears. The sliver is a piece of the container that can no longer contain the sparks. This means that no energy should be in it at all, and if energy can be contained inside it, why should it need a new container? IT'S ALREADY IN ONE!!!

Widely recognised as the most reviled movie was 2009. Sure, it was a misfire but in my opinion it's Oscar-worthy in comparison to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Year One, and Dragonball Evolution.
That movie was basically an Adam Sandler movie with robots. I once watched a youtube video about how Michael Bay might be trolling the average american audience member with his movies and the more I think about it, the more plausible it seems.
It's honestly super sad because ROTF had the potential to be the best movie. The story of Optimus dying and the others struggling to take down an ancient decepticon is interesting. The devastator. The forest scene. The TRANSFORMERS. That's what we come for!

This movie happened the way it did because of the 2008 writers strike
There were parts in this and DOTM that I liked (more so in the third).
But to me, the best part was Optimus vs Megatron, Starscream and Grindor in the forest.
The writing for this one was hurt by the strikes that year.
But the only transformers sequel that I enjoyed 95% of was AoE, since it actually went through with the story of humans turning on the Autobots (which was done half-assed in films 2 and 3), while also starting alot of new plot points (being the transformers creators and the dinobots, which will be expanded on in the TLK).
I love the part when they are in Egypt, and they drive into the gunfire and it cuts to the roommates face and he starts whimpering. It's like the battle takes off from there. Love this movie.
