Cool keyboards by TOTO's David Paich, who also co-wrote the song. The "shuffle" was provided by TOTO's rhythm section David Hungate on bass and the legendary Jeff Porcaro on drums.
That drumbeat though, bro...that freaking drumbeat, I could live in that shuffle rhythm (still one of my faves since I was just a little kid and knew nothing about music.)
I bought this album/Cassette tape... In my apartment Newport Beach with front door open playing it cranked up when a stunning Lady is at my door saying.... "I LOVE BOZ, What station are you listening to?"..... I said, it's a tape not the radio. she said.... "That's better, can you start it over and can I stay and hear the entire album?".... I said, Sure, have a seat, can I get you something to drink?..... I made us breakfast the next morning while we listened to it again. We went out that night and the same songs were getting everyone on the dance floor. Great memories. Thanks BOZ.
"BOZ".... seems you like the guy just like millions have for a few decades. This is seriously Cool. "We're All Alone".... "You Can Have Me Anytime"..... so many... close your eyes and pick one, they're all Winners.
Love Boz, you should deep dive down this rabbit hole songs like "I'll Be the One, "Call Me," "Sierra," and "Lost It," "It All Went Down The Drain" You honestly should give them a listen. We appreciate your hard work.

Drums by iconic Toto drummer, Jeff Porcaro. RIP.
Boz is the King of what was called Blue Eyed Soul.
I saw Boz Scaggs with Joe Walsh and Fleetwood Mac At Irvine Meadows Cali.
I love when Boz gets romantic, too. Three faves: Harbor Lights, We're All Alone, and Look What You've Done To Me.💙
Then do It’s Over, What Can I Say and Breakdown Dead Ahead.
So glad to see this younger generation appreciate great music from the 60s 70s and 80s . Gives me hope for the future
This song brings back memories for me
When I first heard this song I thought for sure it was a brother singer it. So soulful!

Not a bad track on that album! I’ve been hearing one track quite often lately on Sirius/XM from that album - “Georgia”, great song!
Jeff Porcaro (Toto) Shows why he is the groove master - one of the greatest ever behind a drum kit

"Lido Shuffle"
Lido missed the boat that day, he left the shack
But that was all he missed, and he ain't comin' back
At a tombstone bar in a juke joint car, he made a stop
Just long enough to grab a handle off the top
Next stop, Chi-town, Lido put the money down, let it roll
He said, "One more job oughta get it
One last shot 'fore we quit it
One for the road"
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's a-waiting for the go
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
He said, "One more job oughta get it
One last shot 'fore we quit it
One more for the road"
Lido be runnin', havin' great big fun until he got the note
Saying, "Toe the line or blow it, " and that was all she wrote
He be makin' like a beeline headin' for the borderline, goin' for broke
Sayin', "One more hit oughta do it
This joint, ain't nothin' to it
One more for the road"
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's a-waiting for the go
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
"One more job oughta get it
One last shot, then we quit it
One more for the road"
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's a-waiting for the go
Lido, whoa, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
"One more job oughta get it"
Thank you for this -
I like the drum intro

Please try Robert Palmer…. Addicted To Love 😎

@@zenpuppy6025 Agreed. Robert was Too Cool
Hey JM... The band for Boz/this album was TOTO...... Now you know why there are NO Bad Tunes from either group..
Where do you get those cool graphics? All are perfect. Nice addition.
