Hi Brittany. I'm from Brazil and I'm trying to learn your idiom. I've been studying english every day by myself, but I confess, it isn't easy. Here in my country, we use our connected speech and reductions the entire time too. Your videos are great and you're really nice. Thanks a lot.
It helps me a lot with my English studies. Thank you. I have a request. "can" and "can't" sound similar. Could you make a video next time to show how they are pronounced differently?
That is what I'm looking for. ‘Can’ and ‘can't’ sound very similar, which often causes me to misunderstand. However, they have completely opposite meanings. thank you in advance.
I wish all Americans speak the way you do. I understand every single sentence you say. But reality is not the same and frustrating. Thank you for the great and amazing job. 💕

Suddenly I felt bad because I realized that I was enjoying the video and that I hadn't "liked" it yet, so I stopped it and did it. Ms. Brittany, I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and you don't know how much inspiration each of your videos gives me, because maybe deep down, it's you who inspires me. Thank you so much, really, for all the dedication that you clearly put into your work, thank you so much for the resources that you provide us and thank you also for sharing all your knowledge in such a genuine way. 💖 Here is a student who will one day achieve great mastery of English and of which you will be a part. 💫

Many years ago, when I was starting to learn English while I listened to The Beatles white album at the same time I read the lyrics in it, one thing that called my attention was the flap sound, which sounds like an r in Spanish (I'm Chilean); so for English speaking learners of Spanish, as an example, if you want to pronounce correctly the r in the Spanish word "clara", you can use the flap sound in the English word better. Thank you, Brittany. Well done. You've got my like and subscription. Sergio.
Very useful video as always, and I'd love if you make more of it in a practice way. Also I'd love to watch a video about the use of some prepositions in prhasal verbs such as up, out, off and so on, if there's any way to learn them.😂
At the example of "slepT well lasT night" we gotta be very careful in order not to say the "T" sound, because it's a "stop T" its like saying "its a great car" without the "T" will become "its a gray car" completely different
Hi there! 👋🤗 I'm currently studying British English at school 🇬🇧 but have a keen interest in American English too 🇺🇸. Sometimes, understanding it can be a bit challenging, especially when it's spoken quickly 🏃💨. I really appreciate your clear explanations-they make such a difference! Thank you! 🙌😊

This video is the very one I needed! Pretty useful is to try to use connected speech while speaking. Because if you speak like a robot, it's hard for your brain to understand that others speak in a different way. I am already on the "didʒə" (did you) step for a year+ watching videos and movies ONLY in English, but the "dʒə" understanding is only on its way 😅 The progress is slow as one can see 😆

Thanks a whole lot from Russian ESL students! Keep up the awesome work! We'd really appreciate it if you could you upload more videos presenting US idioms and slang expressions so that we could start communicating with native American speakers on an entirely different level. Also we'd like to see videos on your great channel featuring samples of job interviews, which is extremely critical for newly arrived immigrants as well as people coming to the US to work for a period of time stipulated in the contract. We are especially interested in customs and traditions as well as rules and regulations a typical American citizen is trying to follow. In addition, it would be great if you could give some valuable advice to new immigrants on where and why they had better settle down in the US in order to land a good job, get married and start a family.
