    Your speed of speech is perfect, at least for me. Again I thank you and ask you to keep posting videos. In return I can guide you on how to grow a channel or a website, especially if you plan to monetize. I am a Spanish speaker.

    You are a great teacher. I am a teacher and executive manager in a private school in Istanbul Turkey. I live in Canadian London during the summer. I will be there first week of June until in the middle of September. I will visit some schools and universities while I am in London. I am trying to build a bridge between Turkey and Canada. If it is possible, I want to visit you.

      Thank you for your kind comment! I’ve been to Istanbul (when my son was ten months old!) and we absolutely loved it. I live very far away from London, Ontario but I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!

    Despite of my two native languages, English is my 3rd language which I startet to learn in school (fluent by now) I am also learning Spanish (conversationally fluent) and Japanese (Beginner A1) for fun. So i have a bit of „successful language experiences“. I have to say that I hate when beginner are forced to „communicate“ and forced to have a conversation with generic phrases forced into their heads, from their textbooks, which they won’t ever use in real live.
    In Spanish it took me one year to be able to form small sentences and they were short and easy, built from the words I learned and not the generic ones. I started small with speaking and from there my speaking abilities gradually increased. I also used/am using shadowing, as you mentioned, a lot and reading whole books out loud it did really wonders for my speaking abilities.

      Reading whole books out loud is real dedication! Very inspirational for other language students, no matter the language they're learning... thank you for sharing!

    Thanks a lot! So far, I've been practicing English on my own by consuming as much English content as possible, mainly through listening. Sometimes I read out loud and shadow, but I haven't had a clear purpose behind these activities. Now, I'm going to follow the steps you mentioned.

    • @EnglishwithBrittany
      @EnglishwithBrittany  28 днів тому

      Awesome! Seems like you’re doing great already. Don’t be afraid to adjust/alter the activities to best fit your personality (for example, in step 3, changing or adding to the questions to better match your content choices). Best of luck!
