I read a book that really helps me, now I know the secret how to learn to speak English quickly. The only thing that keeps us to still not learn to speak English is our mind. If you're afraid to speak English because you think you will commit mistakes, then sorry you will never learn to speak English. Trying to speak English doesn't mean to be perfect just like we learned in school. But speaking in English is to communicate, don't be afraid to make an error. Speak in English forget the "one correct answer" rule that school taught us, your study to communicate and not to impress your teacher. You're not in school anymore, use what ever you learned in reality. Just like me, I never afraid if I have mistakes in my sentences, I'm not native English speaker. So, what I'm afraid? I'm just a learner, means it's natural to have mistakes. Just speak again and again in English. THE FACT IS IT IS BETTER TO TRY AND TRY AND MISTAKE AND TRY AGAIN THAN NOTHING. So, you know the answer why you didn't learn or progress, because of the wrong mindset. Be always positive, don't think of any bad things. Your focus is to learn.
Same as a book who was I read, The title is atomic habit What I learn from the book is we should trying despite we make a mistake instead we never try and just dreaming about perfection
I think you are definitely correct, but my problem is I can't find somebody who can communicate with me in English. I need someone(or partner) who can tell me whether I do a good job or made a mistake.

I am really glad to find this video clip. Understanding fast spoken English has always been a problem for me. And your teaching is really helpful. Thanks. I hope, if possible, that you will have more practical exercises regarding those connecting sounds, removing sounds as well as chaging sounds.
Wow, such a great lesson! Thank you. It answers a lot of my questions about why what I hear is different from what I read to a degree that I can't even understand. Thank you.
Excellent point. The fast english really creat "new sounds" which you never heard from normal speech. That's unique for native speaker who conbine high freuent words. But if you lucky to recording it and replay with 0.5 speed , you find the recipe to duplicate. Anyway, the simpler way is reading as mush as you can and as fast as you can, if can correct pronunciation by self. PS, the schwa is used for highlight other stressed syllables. That's why all |a, e, i, o ,u| could be sounds like it. That's also why English is not spelling language as we used thought it was.
In my opinion, humble opinion, there's no silver bullet but definitely... Practice makes perfect. I strongly recommend listening as much as you can. And don't do your English listening as it was homework.. Do it as daily routine. And.. The more the better. Thanks for your Videos and Greetings from Spain

Interesting video and perfect explanation. I often listen to audiobooks and with the years I have speeded up listening to between 150 and 190 % with english books or podcasts. In my native language I am at 175 - 225 %. It is just practice.

Thank you for sharing this detailed content from Smashing English on understanding fast spoken English! It's great to see such comprehensive advice for learners, covering everything from diversifying listening sources to understanding linking sounds and contractions. This approach is indeed helpful for anyone struggling with the pace and nuances of native English speakers.
Excellent video! This is exactly the problem I'm having now when I can understand BBC News or Ted Talk but I can't get what native speakers say in films. Thanks!
I realy appreaciate your effort doing this tips for us non native english speaker learning how to speak english its really a great help for us Thank you
For a Russian-speaking person, this lesson was a great success. The problem of teaching English in the post-Soviet space is that we were not taught to understand English by ear, but only to learn the rules
ты свою личную проблему не распространяй на всё пост-советское пространство и бывшую российскую империю. не знаю ни одного преподавателя, который бы запрещал ученикам учиться воспринимать английский на слух, и/или не учил их этому. более того, всегда были лингафонные кабинеты в нормальных учебных заведениях, в приличных школах и в вузах. ну, кроме, наверное, твоего ПТУ. а кто учиться не хочет и неграмотный - так они нихера не знают, ни русского, ни математики.
bullshit, I even had listening with headphones in the 90s. and it was just a technical college, not a humanities university with in-depth study of languages
Thank you for making this video. I love how you demonstrate the nature of English which is so helpful for an eager English learner like me. I have got an English exam to study, but I turn out to pick something out of the book. Kinda more fun.
Очень Круто👌🔥🎶🗝️🧠Прям СУПЕРРРРР🎁Не думал,что кто так Ясно может донести такие не простые моменты в изучение языка🗝️Спасибо❤️Очень интересная вы и женщина помимо учителя👌🎁🎁🎶👩🏻
Gist of the video: 1. Try to listen for podcast, live shows, chat shows inspite of scripted shows. 2. Speak with the persons who speaks like that. 3. Try to practice with linkage of the sounds. 4. Practice speaking or read a book like singing on continuous without breaking the sentence. 5. Be prepared for the schwa. 6. Stop expecting for sentences. 7. Follow the body postures also. 8. Learn common contractions.
This is great lesson and method for learning English fast as a native speaker.I appriaciate you and subscribed.I also want to learn more about fast English spoken method from you. Thanks

I am not a native English speaker but i know the importance of having a good grasp of this language is essential to grow yourself in this world. To be honest , i'm really really bad at communicating with others in English just because my confidence is low on doing so, i procastinate about what others will think about me if i make mistakes. As you can read my sentences, i am not that bad in English but having a self confidence on your is very essential for learning because it prompts you to overcome your shortcomings. Currently, i am working upon my self confidence so that eventually i would be able to talk with strangers more confidently and make more friends on this planet😅😅😅😅.. Thank you 🌹🌹
For me, as indonesian. Related to the sample. I more understand what the second and forth speaker then first and third speaker. Because, both 2nd&4th speaker talked with casual vocab that it is easier for me to get it althought it is bit faster while 1st &3rd speaker used specific words which are bit rare for me to listen for.

Wow! You are an excelent English teacher! I thought I knew the English language. Now I know that I only know the very basics.
Thanks!
Thank you for a wonderful lesson. I didn't quite understand Kate Middleton speech, her pronunciation is very particular
I'm new in your channel but i find it really really useful. thank you for your lesson❤😊
I'm so glad!
Yes I agree 😂
and this was the goal that we couldnt talk to foreigners
ты свою личную проблему не распространяй на всё пост-советское пространство и бывшую российскую империю. не знаю ни одного преподавателя, который бы запрещал ученикам учиться воспринимать английский на слух, и/или не учил их этому. более того, всегда были лингафонные кабинеты в нормальных учебных заведениях, в приличных школах и в вузах. ну, кроме, наверное, твоего ПТУ.
а кто учиться не хочет и неграмотный - так они нихера не знают, ни русского, ни математики.
bullshit, I even had listening with headphones in the 90s. and it was just a technical college, not a humanities university with in-depth study of languages
The best English lesson ever. First video and I subscribe.

Excellent demonstration, I’ve ever seen. I really enjoyed this video & will remain with this channel. ❤
I live in a rural area but English is a world language so it is very important to understand it. videos are very helpful
i am very happy because i found this channel, I loved the content and the teacher, thanks from Brazil.
Your video is awesome, thanks, I gonna follow all these tips from now 🙏
