Great video and I'll have to check the software and heater valve solenoid harness to see if it has the latest version. Where do you download the Trane XV software for use with the laptop and the RS-485 cable?

Comfortsite! We could not get it to work with the laptop, could be user error! Had to get the Mantis tool from ouR Trane FSR. THE NEW MODELS WITH THE LINK COMMUNICATING PLATFORM will do auto updates, if the homeowner connects and maintains WIFI.

Having a difficult time finding the part# for the Solenoid Coil. The only info printed on my bad one is DC12V 19106X. Any help would be appreciated.

LSOV latching switch over valve 12VDC solenoid coil Trane part number COL20696. I assume you are asking about the one for the XV variable speed system. If not you will need a 24vac solenoid

That looks so complicated give me a base Goodman system I can get parts for.

Ironic that I couldn’t get a warranty motor for multiple Goodman systems but I got a drive from Trane same day

@@markmcelmeel7850 you could go to a different distributor then. I’ve gone to Johnstone to get warranty parts Ferguson didn’t have in stock. Goodman is pretty good with parts availability.

@@The1JBanks didn’t make myself clear. Goodman was out and so was johnstone. First thing we do is source from every available local distributor. Johnstone down here in Fort Lauderdale has a paltry selection of replacement parts

K.I.S.S- Keep It Simple Stupid. Not you, but the equipment haha. I know these systems are supposedly very efficient BUT there's just so much that could go wrong compared to regular single stage units and even two stage units. I know these things are supposedly the "future" but I don't see how with the price tags I see.

Yes, these systems are definitely for those individuals that have excess money in their life. I’m not lucky enough to be one of those so I also try to keep things simple in my own life. But it’s the wealthy people that I will dish out the money for this type of equipment, and when it quits expect you to fix it for free.

Great video. Is there anything on this unit that uses 24 volts?

    • @myHVAClife

The tstat gets it for power and display and it is used for load management control at the outdoor unit, but is not used for actual system operations.

This type of system will cost you MUCH More> $$ than you would ever save in efficiency and is made only to put more money in pockets of HVAC Companys.
