Please do the world a service and write a cookbook! I absolutely LOVE your cooking videos. Your recipes and suggestions for using canned foods are so versatile and look delicious. Also, my toddler daughter loves to watch your videos with me. “Can we watch the farm lady today?” “Does the farm lady have a new video yet?” 😀
Hi Lindsay! Oh my, your lavishing praise is making me blush! It’s been fun sharing my favorite activity, canning in video and blog format. I can’t spread the word enough that canning is tragically misunderstood and under rated as a way to meal prep, eat locally, reduce waste, etc. Hearing that I have a toddler fan made me smile! I’m working on keeping a posting schedule while also giving myself grace bc I do work a full time outside of my home and life is anything but routine for me. No worries-I’m not going anywhere. So good to see you! Take good care.
I feel that way too. I buy the cranberries when the shops reduce the price on them after Thanksgiving and after Xmas. I stock the freezer. I had not thought to can them. I will be giving that a go soon! Thanks! While I love cranberries in every form, but for Thanksgiving my favorite way is a raw cranberry and orange relish or a cranberry jam.
You are delightful. Have just found your channel and am loving it. Your mom is so brave! After my stroke, I would not leave the house. Hope you and all loved ones are doing well during this Big Chill.
I should have commented this long ago, but better late than never, right? For the burger, try putting the steak sauce directly on the mayo, then build the rest of the burger. There is something about the cranberry mayo combo. Heaven. Love the videos.
Wow your dishes are amazing 👏 I've learn a lot a out food like hydration beef And how natural cran berrie are Cook And can , I m glad to be a New Subscriber . Thank you for teaching us Please 🙏 keep me a brief on all that you do.
I straight up do NOT like cranberries, and yet here I am watching the whole video, excited about how versatile this sauce is, knowing I won’t ever eat it. 😂 keep up these spectacular, engaging videos!
Jessica! You are too funny. I was the same way about cranberries (as in Im not one to have to have it on holiday Turkey) but--once I started making a jalapeño and brown sugar cranberry glaze the sweet, heat and tart combination worked!
Hello Nelda! You are too kind. Learning to can has changed my meal prep and eating for the better and I'm so excited to debunk that canning is "old" or "outdated" because that couldn't be further from the truth! I'm addicted to putting food in jars and so happy to meet others, like you, who are too! Thanks for saying hello! :)
Hi Cassandra! Did you major in broadcast journalism or something? You seriously have some of the most professional videos on YT. :) Anyway, thank you for sharing this terrific cranberry sauce. I adore cranberries and I will definitely give this one a try. I think my cranberry-picky husband will even like that steak sauce. I made some jellied cranberries after watching Carol Thrifty Chic channel. I processed them in my Vitamix to make them smooth and they were so very good. They turned out jellied but with substance. I am not a fan of the gelatinous cranberry muck from the store, but that is the only kind of cranberries most of my family will eat. That recipe is way over and beyond the store bought pink colored jellied liquid! I am looking forward to canning this one you shared as well. Pam
Hi Pam! Firstly, you are too kind! I majored in English and Education. I spent the first ten years of my career as an elementary teacher before transitioning to a Reading Specialist. I couldn’t agree more with your sentiments about store cranberry products vs making it yourself! It’s night and day! It’s always lovely to see you! Take good care!
Hi Cassandra! I love the new recipe, as usual sounds delicious. I make my own goat cheese but the gingerbread goat cheese sounded interesting. I love goat cheese with cranberries it’s amazing! Thanks again ☺️
Hi Sharen! The gingerbread goat cheese is a seasonal find that I love at Aldi. I've got to start dipping my toes into cheese making. Do you have any recommendations on books, videos or channels to check out? It always brings a smile to my face to see you!
Sharen! Yikes, I’m actually watching Lisa from Suttons Daze video (she just shared a cranberry recipe a few minutes ago). I had commented on her video and got tongue tied! My sincere apologies!!!!
Hello Purpose Gardens! I LOVE this recipe. Goodness, if you’re a cranberry fan this recipe will steal your heat! Tweak the seasonings to your liking and enjoy!! You can use fresh or frozen or already canned berries!
Where can I find the recipe for the chicken? Thank you so much for all your advice for me . This is the first year I’m trying canning have never canned before.
Hello! Im so excited to hear this! I never thought I’d be a canner but now I don’t l le where I’d be without it. Every video I post shares meal ideas because having a home canned pantry is truly the best way to eat deliciously, on a budget and the best way to meal prep! I’m warning you, it’s addictive😀

Hi Kay! There’s no rush! Watch and try the recipes when you have time 😀I know we’re all busier than we’d like to be at times. I also post everything on the blog! Thanks for saying hello!
When you showed that cranberry chicken I said wow out loud. I’m going to have to make this 😋😋 I’ve got some frozen fresh cranberries in the freezer. Do you think those would work??
Frozen will totally work-use them and make this recipe! Just make sure when you defrost them to defrost them in the pot you will use to cook so you don’t loose that tart cranberry juice flavor. Enjoy!
Just wondering on the recipe you say 2 cups pineapple and juices but then there is a orange (or pineapple) juice. Is this from earlier? Or is it more juice?
You can dehydrate the skins, when dried-blend them into a powder. The skins will still have a cranberry flavor which you can add to beverages like hot or iced tea for a flavor twist or in smoothies! You're right- don't waste a thing!
