Hey guys! Absolutely a great video! Not only informative and to the point, but very light hearted and entertaining as well. You guys make a great team! Kiddos and thanks!👍
Great video! I love the love that is between the two of you love birds. Classic how your darling wife called out saying not everyone is going to wire wheel and paint there bracket...your reaction was priceless! I would love to see you two install a tankless water heater.
I'm one of the 3 who watched this, and like your everyday, normal kind guy approach. I know it involves more, like multiple takes at different angles, camera setups, feeling awkward talking to nobody but a camera while the wife looks at you through the window and thinks you're weird and should be giving her a foot rub instead, and editing... but can you show the entire process in the next videos you submit? From the first bolt to finished job, with what you need in preparation, i.e. the tools and sizes, specifically? Just taking the pulley off can be intimidating to lots of people. Heck, even figuring out how to loosen the belt via tensioner or alternator in the first place could make someone give up and spend too much at a shop for an easy DIY fix. Maybe if they're that much of a novice, they probably should take it to the shop for a new dome light, but for kids who want to learn, having a complete how-to video is way better than having to watch a few different ones for one job. Thanks!
Buy without when room is limited, OR when adding a power steering boosted braking system. It really gets the Chevy K5 to stop hard! The external allows the user to mount higher than the brake boost and PS fluid cooler.
The square bodies are probably the most prevalent as far as classic crew cabs. But just like anything else the square body crew cabs will be non existent in a year or two. I looked for like two years to find my crew cab. It’s tough to find them that haven’t been molested and are still fairly original. At this point Just be happy that you have the crew cab no matter what kind of condition it’s in. Have fun with it, The only real pain in the ass problems with these trucks is the wiper switch ( if 84 and newer) and the heater core.
@@zmurray9499 took me about the same have a lot of work in store, they chopped the bed and they made it look like a avalanche smh so I ended buying a short bed to put on it, have to extend the axle and driveshaft next. You have a good looking one great find! I sold my 70 blazer I will never do that mistake with this truck
@@mannyleon121 I had a 1970 ford short bed 4x4 short. It had a lot of patina but was original paint. I vowed never to sell it. A guy on UA-cam across the country offered me a lot of money for it and I sold out. Only vehicle that I’ve ever owned but I wish I had not sold, no matter what the money was. There’s a short video of it pulling a stump out on my channel. I wish that Chevrolet came out with a square body short bed crew cab. The K 30 is a long truck. Like I said no matter how much work it is just be happy that you have that cab.
Wiper switch! Tell me more, please! I have an '87 suburban with cruise control, and the cc doesn't work plus the wipers go off intermittently or roughly every 2 minutes for one sweep, making me take out the fuse to not bug me, but I live in Kauai, where it rains at any given moment and it's super annoying to have to pull over and insert the fuse again. I've replaced the "multifunction selector" with a brand new AC Delco, checked cc unit, voltage, gremlins... and no different outcome. What have you found?
Pardner you really got me confused! Not with the pulley but with your voice and hands. The tacky-tatts on your hands and fingers indicate a West-By-God heritage, (Or perhaps an extended time in a Govt. Hotel aka Joliet)? And your voice is definitely not W-B-G. The Pitbull could indicate either one of the aforementioned situations. Pitbulls go well with Hillbillies and Jailbirds. Well whatever your past may be, you do seem like someone I could drink beer with. And although the brand color of red is what RAINIER BEER uses, the "R" on your hat is the exact match for a Vitamin R, "R". The fact that you didn't have an open can on your work bench is the big question in this video. Oh well, keep up the good work and in your next vid have Wifeypoo turn the camera on herself so we can check her out. Thanks
Against my better judgment I’m going to respond to this message. This is what I take from your message. You judge people by the way they look, skin color, political view, religious view, financial status, just in general live an unhappy life. All of the assumptions that I have made may or may not be true. My life and judgment has nothing to do with your life and judgment. I steer clear of negative people so I probably won’t be having a beer with you. I wish you the best in life. PS- My intention for these videos is not to judge my wife by her looks,.this Does not make sense in a how to video.

Thanks for making this video. I’m going to change the power steering pump on my ‘85 GMC
No problem 👍
HI Z! Thanks for the great video....simple and easy and fun to watch. Now to do this on my 74 Blazer as clean as you :) MK

I think it’s great that she is out there with you
Those women aren’t easy to find🙂!!
Nice video, they are a good team.👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you, appreciate the kind words🙂
Thank you, I've never removed and replaced the pulley before, but may need to on my Buick.
Happy to help👍🏼

This is worth watching just for the entertainment value.
Got to love wire wheels and painting😉😉 excellent video bud
Thank you sir, I use the bench grinder with a wire wheel more than any other tool!
Very nice video. Thank you for the info.
Thank you for making this video!
Glad it helped :-)
Great content. Thank you for including what you accidentally did, and what we should do to avoid that ☺️ thank you for the help!!
Thank you for the kind words!! Happy to help🙂
If the oven/freezer trick doesnt work...
What does one do if you have an allan to put the pulley back on? Thanks! :))
Absolutely Awesome!!! 👍🇺🇲
Happy to help!

What have you found?
So are the threads reversed? Right loose and left tighten? Thanks for posting the video.
Threads on the puller? No threads on the pump, it’s a “press” fit pulley on the smooth pump shaft
So when you're removing the pulley does it feel like both the wrench and the ratchet wanna spend the same way ? I can't figure it out bro ?
You’re pulling on the pulley and you’re pushing on the shaft. Comes off very easy
@@zmurray9499 just seems both wanna spend the same way and the power steering pump want stay still
@@zmurray9499 does the ratchet need to be in tightening mode or loosening mode when removing pulley ?
@@zmurray9499 seems to me my bolt just bottoms out in the pulley and I can't turn the ratchet anymore
Anyone know where I can find an oem power steering pump front bracket sbc 305
Was on the search for a while during my build. $100+ on eBay. Went with aftermarket for $30 :/
❤

Fun couple
LOL, thanks!
In your one video you said you're on a budget, simple solution, don't live in such a fancy place. Duh.
I like living in a "fancy place", hence on a budget. Or I could live someplace I don't want to be and buy expensive car parts🤔!! decisions decisions
I prefer autozone than orielys
Did you guys get divorced yet?
I seriously want to know why are you ask that??? we actually did
