Awesome Video.... Very, Very descriptive.... Better than a manual! I have a 79 vette and am having a hard time removing / loosen the belt from the Power steering pump. I'm working under the car which makes it more difficult. Can't seem to be able to rotate the pump on the adjustment bracket. Looks like the breaker bar is the way to go. I really need to change the alternator belt but can't do it unless I remove the power steering belt first..... Again, Great Vid!
Glad it helped. There are a lot of us working on these C3 trying to get them refreshed and safe for years to come. I'm working on installing the pump right now and will have a video out soon. I feel your frustrations with parts being seized, missing, or not working lol. Good luck with all your work. J
Hey! Thanks for posting this video and confirming that I was trying to pull my PS pump pulley correctly. After nearly tearing the collar off of the pulley, I took the propane torch to it to convince the the two parts to part ways. They finally did with a resounding "crack."
Excellent video. As far as the parts cleaning, I have found soaking everything in a tub of vinegar overnight then the following day spraying with Ospho for rust prevention, to be easier, but takes a couple of days. Just my 2 cents. Your video on the horn repair helped a great deal. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
Good catch. I'll see if I can get the bolt in without removing the pulley , if not I'll pull the pulley and redo. Thanks for noticing that. I was actually thinking the same thing just after I pressed the pulley on, but think I can still get the bolt in. I hope so, J
What a waste of time. All I learned was how to remove a pully using a tool. I watched this video to learn how to remove the pump and install a new one.

That's a great idea and I'll give it a try. Thank you for your comment. Very much appreciated. J
I'll be putting the pump back on the C3 when I installed the steering control valve and steering cylinder components. Coming soon, I hope.
Keep up the good work 👍🏽 helped me a lot
Excellent and I'm happy about that! Thank you for watching! J
You forgot the bracket and boll before you installed the pulley. Because the pulley was in the way when you disassembeld the bracket.
