Do you have to run tubes in those tires ?
Bias ply, 36in and no tubes
Happy to help
Nice video, quick and precise👍🏼
Thanks for the video👍🏼
Thanks for watching
Man that truck is in great shape, a real survivor
A lot of work to get it where it is. Rough survivor, thanks
Only video that is talking about this issue and fix
Quick into the point
Thank you👍🏼
Thanks for the video

Looks great !
Good imfo
Appreciate ya watching✌️
Thanks for the video Z! 😁👍🏻
You are very lucky, cause a person can not find a 40 year old truck in that condition.
I finally sold it because I couldn't use it like a truck... it was too nice. I'm into original and that was the nicest original vehicle I've seen or had.
Much appreciated.... no issues with the tires except flat spots if the truck sits for a while. Takes a few miles to even out.
Bad Ass Truck How’s the bias ply tires working out ?
Great job man
Great couple…good old American Love
That was just before the divorce😄... but thanks for watching
@ Damn bruh…I’m sorry to hear that man. Aye the good news is you are still Alive So that means GOD still wants you here….screw it make some more videos bro..AMERICAN MUSCLE type cars. You got my support.💪🏿
Awwww so nice, I'm resorting that time is fading for me these days at just a few happily remaining months before I turn 60. Yes I owned an 83 RM 250 and I ruled the West End neighborhoods for a couple Seasons where I lived (Sault Ontario Canada) where pretty much everyone had 125's back then...and I was the only teen on the Yellow Steed.... When the bike fired up there was a flood of memory recall where I was a million times and had all my gear on and where I was about to head out to and who was with me....such good memories! Thanks man!
Hi Im just wondering where Could I find the vin number? I have this bike and im going through this exact process
@@meredy.1375 it's on the steer tube, kickstart side. Of the frame
Here's a GREAT video that talks about kick down shifting. ua-cam.com/video/DLAlRCgyRYM/v-deo.html
I have the 1987 460/C6 in a E350 cutaway...aka RV. I installed a Edelbrock 1406. Bought the Edelbrock 1483 adaptor. Now, the end of the kick down rod is 1/2" above and 1/2" forward of the 1483 kick down connector. If I push the rod down onto the 1483 connector, it fully engages the kick down. Is this when I break out the zip ties?? 🤔 I believe I need the kickdown, because my vehicle is about 15,000 lbs.
@@DarkSevariant I have had to put a spacer/adapter plate between all of the Edelbrock carb swaps I've done. Always contact the intake manifold for whatever reason. Maybe putting Half to 1 inch spacer might work. Linkage and cables can be tricky.
Pardon, where is the vid for replacing the stabilizer? It does not seem to be listed.... thanks.
@@lifequest7453 I deleted the video... pretty much said the same thing as the current video. The passenger side unbolt easily. The driver side needs a puller. Easy Peezy
@@zmurray9499 Thanks, you said in this vid you showed how you did it so I wanted to see that.
You door latch fix is a good idea but that plastic needs to be able to turn on the striker. I needed a quick fix so used the plastic from a clorox bleach bottle, heated it and shaped around the striker. door closes like new. that plastic is sort of a bearing for the door clip and it rotates when closing so you need the movement or you will start cutting into the plastic.
Electrical goes nuts when i turn the wheel… hope that the multifunction switch (white part with the wires) fixes it
@@fixnshet5640 I probably say it's something to do with the wires running through your steering column. The switch, jiggle it around without moving the wires going up your steering column
Dogs a goooooboi
I’m having the same issue on a Honda shadow 750. I left the clutch pulled in for 24 hours. I’m gonna try being patient and combining both methods.
did it work?
@ no unfortunately. It didn’t. I ended up pulling the clutch apart and I put new plates and dipped them in a ton of oil. As I was torquing the clutch basket nut I broke a clutch component (I used the Honda tool wrong and put too much pressure on the part that accept the screws for the clutch springs and that broke) I ordered the replacement part a few days ago so I’m waiting for that to come in to see if changing the plates and springs will fix my issue.
You know nothing about transmissions. You're burning your trans up or shortening the life of it every time you drive it. The kickdown should not be called a kickdown. When you fidget with that selector instead of letting the lever attached to the transmission do it for you, you're not applying enough clamping force on the clutches, in return you're slipping the clutches essentially the same way as riding the clutch on a manual transmission with your foot putting not enough pressure on the clutch peddle while traveling down the road. The old saying goes the harder the shifts kick, the longer your transmissions will last. In other words, the harder the clamping force on your clutches, the less ware you will put on them. In return making the transmission last longer. Turn a wooden handle screwdriver with a piece of sandpaper wrapped around the handle on a stubborn screw without gripping it tight enough. What happens? You ware on the handle, making wood dust. You're doing the same thing to the clutches when you're not using the kickdown bar. Changer your fluid then uses the kickdown for a recorded period of time. Then pull it off and down shift your trans for the same amount of time. Then looking at your fluid and see how dirty it got verses when you used the bar. That will give you your answer.
@ReedParkinson1974 The same actuation is happening whether you use the lever or the carburetor linkage. The lever and the shifter are attached to the same thing. so what is your point and why are you watching my video if you're an expert. you act like I'm being paid to make these videos or you're being forced to watch them... killing me, but thanks for watching. And quit being a troll.... you know the old saying... if you can't say something nice then don't effing say it at all
And how many times are you"kicking down"Or manually shifting your transmission.?? Once in a blue moon do I actually put my foot far enough down for the kickdown to actuate. The vacuum modulator is doing everything else
For anyone who still doesnt know this trick. After it gets hot, whack it with a hammer! The shock travels through the screw with the heats help. Never didnt work!
Used your video to help me do this while on lunch. Thanks man!
Why manual choke? I’m wanting to get rid of mine.
Recently inherited my grandfather's 1984 C10 Silverado he bought new in 84'. Clock has been "broken" for years... I started looking into either fixing or replacing and found your video. In my case I literally just had to reset the orange power cable and it started working again. Thank you for this video!❤
Welcome and thanks for watching!! I just try to make a video every time I need to fix or refurbish. Which looks like pretty much everything😃
My 1980 chev has nuts holding the bezel and switch in place. I will try removing the dash to get better access.
3:28 , yes , if you’re serious about it.
Another guy made 5 lefts and 5 rights, 3x brakes - he had to do it 90 times....again, a 5 min job that takes all day. Cadillac has a cooling tube and I replaced mine, which means I am here....no brakes and no power steering.
Will try this. Thanks
Very super clean truck!! Absolutely beautiful! Good job 👍
Thinking trucks not from Michigan? Lol
The small plug ,3/8, did yours have vacuum lines.?
haha! i was given one recently and had it running in under and hour. i got lucky.
@@JAKE2.0-84 mine was cursed, I think I said it in the video.... I have refurbished and or restored just about everything. this is the smallest and biggest pain in my ass ever. but I also went against my motto, pay a little extra to get something good to start with. I did not
How you mess. It up easy way???
Took me 8 hours
My steering lock don't work now..???¿?
It 100% suck trying to adjust it..never again
@@charlessalard4636 well hopefully you don't have to do it ever again🤷🏼♂️... took me quite a while to figure out the orientation because I did not look inside the lock cylinder hole before taking it apart...
@zmurray9499 does the sprocket come out?? Saw a video somewhere where they put it on key cylinder and put it in???
Beautiful truck!
@@velasco1100 appreciate....
Take that part off and trash it. Then buy a Holley fuel regulator (or any for that matter) that has a return to the tank port. Hook it up in place and adjust it to 6psi. Problem solved.
@@Joe2-rg4lc I'm pretty sure that was the point of my video🤔

Beautiful truck dad had 1985 Scottsdale truck black red pin stripe ac and automatic was only option dad too tight buy 4wd or silverado
My dad bought a brand new 1976 2 wd short bed with zero options. The hood kinked in the center and had three or four good sized rust spots. Not because of the elements but poor metal prep from the factory. And thank you👍🏼
search for maxxis 900-16 or 900-17 if you're rims are 17s,, these we call it sand tires here in middle east and they are perfect tall and little bit skinnier than what you got here
