My girlfriend Taylor requested a cutting board from me so I used the opportunity to share a simple carving jig that I designed to create a shallow dish in the center of the cutting board. Watch as I share a hack to carving a uniform shallow depression in this chunk of wood without using a lathe or any complicated tools. It’s simply a plywood jig using an angle grinder as the cutting tool. The wood I used for this cutting board was spalted maple. Do you have another way to do it without a CNC?
