Watch me create a vintage workbench shop table for my new barn! For this workbench shop table, the hardwood maple planks I had stored in my container for several years. The workbench shop table legs were purchased at the flea market a few years back, and these two emmert pattern makers vises are new acquisitions and the impetus for this project build - Enjoy!

But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

45 years ago, my grandfather got a heavy workbench from a boat yard in Freeport, NY. It had an Emmert vise on it, the big one.
When he passed away, I inherited it. Love the bench and the vise. It will hold anything in any position.

Wow! Another beautiful build ! Love watching 'it' ( large plank work table) with that 'fast forward' technique. You gotta' do it that way due to all heavy pieces, parts etc. Love that HD, multi directional, hinged clamp/vice. Also closing shot delivered, set up in your wood working barn showing all 2-story interior walls covered with vertical planks! We need an up dated shop your! Keep up all your 'maker's unification efforts! Its giving me warm fuzzies all over! Yahoo!🥳🤗👨🔧

Not really. A table that wide is a great way to hurt your back reaching for things on the other side of it. Or you can always walk around. Said no one ever.
Its awesome. The one thing I do different than nearly everyone is I ALWAYS mount my vices on the right corner. I am right handed and that makes most work much easier for me. Most videos I watch mount on the left as you did. But...
I put it on the left cause I always put all my tools down with my right hand onto the table ...this wasn’t done without thought
