Ive been tempted to knock one of these out, but need to accumulate more scraps. However, that much time for such a simple project might test my patience, lol
That is a lot of work and a lot of sawdust for one cutting board. But it is one beautiful board. The problem with this board is that once someone sees it they will want one too. I don't know about you but I would not want to go to the expense and effort again. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
I would have lovvvee to see a chevron pattern done about the 12:40 mark. Especially with all those colors. But either way amazing work man. Appreciate the videos!
Thank are you gluing each stage where face grain is up?? Then of course last cut is flipped ..glue upped so it's endgrain cutting board? Or is each stage a mix of facegrain and side grain?? Ty again
I told my son, "wear gloves", he did not. A few days later I wince seeing him in the emergency room with his palms missing. Never rode a motorcycle again. Please use a pusher with your planner.
Looks good, but I still see a lot of uniformity between rows. Are you working on this between two different shops? I do like the fact that you keep the chaotic to rectangles and squares rather than integrating triangles. I see very high quality commercial planers and table saws vs. more residential/consumer ones like the DeWalt 735.
Awesome man 🤩 I make edge grain boards , they are very smooth, after oil finishing and few days letter l can feel every joint wth 🤦♂️!!!! I respect your experience, can you please let’s me know what I was doing wrong 😑
Your sand to how many grit ? I keep that board for me and every time I cook with after a good water wash I apply some mineral oil with conditioner in the smooth finish get back Thanks for watching
There is the final step before oiling your board, which is to spray the board with water, let dry, then give the board a final sanding. The water raises the grain, allowing you to sand it smooth.
I think it would have been more random/chaotic if you didn't glue the last 2 pieces together before you started cross cutting. Then you could have switched out "sides"
Beautiful project. Please, though, don't wear baggy sleeves when using a table saw. Saw a guy almost lose his arm doing that....the saw blade caught his coat sleeve and sucked his arm into the blade.
How about making a plain old cutting board without all those different colors and busy pattern. That thing would drive me nuts. I would never, never buy such an ugly thing.
Thanks for watching if you like it

The greatest feature of any board like this is it's uniqueness to the builders style...no one can dispute it or criticize it. I's yours and well done!
That's incredible! Never seen a board like this... it's art! Well done!
Wow!!! Absolutely incredible. It's like making a scrappy quilt from wood 🤩
I love when he pats the glue up, as if to say: " you're a good boy, a very good boy "....:). Nice job, by the way!
I find those patterns very nice for making boxes.
A very beautiful board loving all the colour of wood used
Watching from India.... It's very nice 🥰👍🏻
Excellent work 👍👍👍 . Thanks for sharing.
That’s one hell of a workshop.!
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I bake our sandwich bread & it’d look amazing cut on this board. So cool!
like watching a mad scientist in the laboratory! end product is sick!
Belíssimo trabalho, parabéns. 👏👏👏👏. Obrigado por compartilhar.
Very good - thanks! Seems a little busy visually but different strokes for different folks!
GORGEOUS, your craftsmanship shows in the detail of this cutting board. I love it.
That might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Well done

Why did you cut one last time after you already had it glued up end grain up?
I would have lovvvee to see a chevron pattern done about the 12:40 mark. Especially with all those colors. But either way amazing work man. Appreciate the videos!
Thanks a lot

I feel inspired to do at least 3 glue ups. That board would be high dollar or a personal piece
I have keep it for me
I don't blame you at all. It is beyond gorgeous. Would be hard to part with
What’s the value
@@arlingtontrains7 to much for sale people never want to pay the reel price as this on it’s mine I use it everyday for the past two years and I love
@ what!
How long do you allow each glue up to dry before cutting it again?
1 hours
Awesome man 🤩

Needs a final sand with what ever grit you finished with before oiling. Very light barely past the weight of your hand or your oribital.
There is the final step before oiling your board, which is to spray the board with water, let dry, then give the board a final sanding. The water raises the grain, allowing you to sand it smooth.
I’ve seen these, and it’s a work of art. I do understand it’s love and enjoyment, but how can you turn a profit on these with all the manpower needed.
Beautiful board, but you’re reaching over a spinning blade to grab the pieces. That’s not very safe.
I think it would have been more random/chaotic if you didn't glue the last 2 pieces together before you started cross cutting. Then you could have switched out "sides"
Yeah I think your right to get what I really wanted I needed to make 10 extra cut but it took me 5 day to make it haha I was okay it’s enough lol 😂
@@Villywoodworking with all those glue ups it would have taken me 2 weeks! 🤣🤣🤣
@@backwoodsbaby9729 i make ten of it and it was painful haha

Дяденька не соображает в этом деле ничего! Склейки нужно распиливать на разную ширину и тогда будет счастье. Плавали- знаем!
Резать и склеивать можно бесконечно,и что?
у тебя видимо клей бесплатный!))))
You use power tools like a man with a death wish! People please don't do what he does!
To muck eork
That why this one I’ve keep it for myself at home
