Without even seeing a picture of your new shift knob, I knew exactly the brand of shift nob you were going to reveal when you mentioned weighted, metal, and heat resistant. The Raceseng brand!! I have a Raceseng Circuit Sphere 100 shift knob for my MK7 GTI, and it has the delrin finish as well, to resist heat. I bought it for that main reason, as other shift knobs burn my hand in the summer heat. It is the best shift knob I have ever had! The shape and ergonomics is incredible, the weight is balanced, and the style is just sexy!! Totally worth the cost!!
Dude, your videos are art lol I appreciate the effort. This shifter has been on my list for a while now and you took it to another level explaining it thanks for the upload!
I just ordered one of these from Todd, dude gives top notch service and was a pleasure to work with! Can't wait to put it in! Also... just an FYI... the gate adjustment isn't for spacing, it is for throw distance. So, the smaller you make that throw, the tighter together the gaps will be for each gate .
@@TORQToolbox No worries, I think you pretty well pointed it out in your test drive anyways. I love your video's (except for the fact that they usually cost me money after watching), so keep up the excellent work!
Bought it, installed it, LOVE IT! I did not think it was going to make that much of a difference, but the feel is simply amazing! I haven't installed the bushings yet, the shifter is so tight, that I am not sure if it is worth all the trouble to put those in, so I will hold on to them until this thing breaks in a little and re-evaluate that after. My settings: I dropped the stick height down to "1", I moved the gate all the way down, and I left the shift length set to what it came with which was "3", and I run the 2017-2019 round factory knob in place of the new 2020 knob it came with (I like the old knob better) . Thanks for the video!
I have found that the stock shifter wants to be in 3rd or 4rth. I think what you call the lockout, at least in my experience, is going from 4rth to 5th, or 5th to 6th, even 2nd to 1st, my shifter tries to center and drop into 3rd or 4rth. If I'm not paying any attention to the shift it'll make it and I'll under or over Rev. Sometimes if I'm fast on the shift it won't make it all the way center and hit the gate in the middle and not go into gear. That's what I think you are talking about when you say lockout. What i have found is when going straight up and down on the side gears (1,2,5,6) I have to ride the outside and put pressure to go straight. I've never gotten the lockout riding the rails but still do if not paying attention. Same goes for going from the center to the outside, i have to consciously put pressure to go to the outside or I'll drop from 4rth to 3rd instead of hitting 5th.
bro, this is worth of money. Besides, the owner sir russell is a good man. I have this for couple of months. I just having a hard time to removed the cable.I loved it.
Interesting and nice video. unfortunately there is no manuals offered in my country and the CTR is crazy expensive. Its around 70K plus USD here. Always like to see the mods you have done though
Was contemplating on Acuity but ended up going with hybrid. They're both nice but I prefer a higher setup so I'm planning to get the CAE shifter now. Great Vid!
You should get a hybrid and compare it ,that will help a lot of people to decide which one they should get , I went with the hybrid racing one and yeah the is a little tiny play still in gear but that's ok , I think to stiff is bad for the cables or maybe the gears in the transmission, correct me if I'm wrong later
Maybe my Hybrid shifter was installed incorrectly previously but I absolutely hate it. All I can think about all day is when can I get it out of my car and enjoy driving it again.
so was looking at the shift knob site and you never mentioned what thread adapter need to get to make it fit, some help in that regard would be very much appreciated videos are awesome keep it up
Hey brother, great video as always. Definitely looking into an Acuity and your reviews are great. Quick question, You still running the AWE Touring? Has it changed much since your video dedicated to it?
A regular civic 1.5t hatchback has a strange/bad feeling when changing gear from first to second, and they say it's the same with the type r. Does this acuity shifter fix that feeling?
Would have been good to know what other shifters you would have considered in comparison to the aquity shifter, but great to know how it compares to stock.

I installed the bushings and the poco shift knob on my 11th gen SI and I would say it definitely worth it
Covercraft custom car shade.. fixed 100 percent of my hot shift nob issues.
You, along with a few others, have inspired me to get an FK8 of my own. I pulled the trigger last month. Thanks for all of your uploads!
Hey, big man! How are you getting on with your Shifter now you've had it over a year? Anything of note at all?
Best video explaining the shifter! Thanks for the time you put into another high quality video. Definitely ordering one for my ‘17 Si!!
It's my pleasure brother

Nice Stage 2 shifter set up and good video!!! When are you going to install 2020 front grill on your Type R?
Had this on my 9th gen before my 10th gen. It was nice and notchyyyy but the stock shifter is so smooth. ❤️
Great video and great work!
Thanks, man, the shifter looked like it made a huge difference.
It definitely did brother
I have the hybrid racing Short shifter. I had the gear lock out as well im sure there is a break in period that fixes that. I don’t notice it anymore.
I just bought the hybrid racing short shifter can’t wait to install it!!

Would you have it shipped if you could get one from America? I work at Honda and could help

Great feedback. Thanks. I have the same 5-4 and 5-6 lock out issue on my ‘19. What transmission fluid are you using?
I'm still on OEM fluid, I might change it later on

Hey brother where you at with the fuel system upgrade? Hehehe looking forward to know more about that. Awesome content.
Still waiting for it to arrive
@@TORQToolbox got you.
Ive had mine fitted for a year, amazing piece of kit, especially matched with the acuity cable bushings 👍🏻

Quick question,
You still running the AWE Touring? Has it changed much since your video dedicated to it?
Yessir im still running it, nothing has changed yet
Yo, I cannot match this quality
Haha of course you can... It just takes practice 👍
Well I mean the SI really can't match the type R quality...
@@clintpopham5691 k relax he's already looking into getting a type R. It's beyond me you take a video production compliment and come off like an ass.
Such high quality vid definitely worthy of more subs

I got the same setup. Acuity makes best shifter and raceseng makes the best shift knobs
Hybrid and K-tuner I believe has one as well...love your vids homes, keep making em
How did you get that Hondata app on your radio?
It's called Honda Hack, I still need to make a video about it but there's a few videos from other channels that show how to do it
Video quality goals🤙🤙
Thank you Will🙌
Amazing video editing 👌
Would you recommend the heavier knob with stock shifter? I’ve felt the same thing with the 5th to 6th problem
Do you have a link for your radar detector mirror mount?
Oh crap. My man TT the custom AR machine has a car channel?
Which torque tool did you use
what are the adjustments you put on your shifter?
What’s the shift knob that’s in the thumbnail
Love your videos
I have hard time pulling out of 5th . How about u ?
Would have been good to know what other shifters you would have considered in comparison to the aquity shifter, but great to know how it compares to stock.
pawinning, has a good video also on how to install this acuity short shifter
I live in Canada why I can't see the same shift knob from yours? 😭😭
Do you hav a bov? What’s that noise?
It's the air spooling in the intake
