    Great tutorial. Thanks for this!
    FYI to you and those setting up their Vive's for the first time...
    Trying to figure out the "mm" by trial and error is not a good idea. It represents your IPD (the space between your eyes). When I first got my headset, that's what I did, and a long reddit thread later, I learned that you should know your IPD before hand. You can ask your eye doctor to tell you your IPD or you can measure yourself using a ruler. The link below will take you to the ruler method so you can find out your IPD without an eye doctor, and the results should be fairly accurate.

    Hope that helps. :)

    If I'm making games, then how do i see them in full immersion? They keep playing in windowed mode...

    Im trying to play Vrchat with a HTC Vive and I put hdmi in the same graphics card as my monitor like the instructions say. All I see is a portion of my desktop background. Any ideas about why $500 is messong with me.

    Cool; nice to see this working in action. I'd like to see someone do similar with the Rift's Home menus and stuff.

      Do you have the vive home program installed and running on your computer? If so it should appear in the vive next to the Steam and Desktop icons.

    Nice video. Quick question, are you able to play non VR games in steam whilst using the headset? e.g. GTA or witcher 3 etc.

      I'm 99% sure you can. You just need a separate application in the steam store called desktop vr or something along the lines of that.

      @Gwanatu 8 років тому

      +AjitB07 Sure can, when you launch a non-VR game in the Vive it goes into "theater mode" where it just looks like you're sitting in a big room with a huge movie theater like screen. I'll try to get one of these videos out too for you to show it in action. It's not going to work well for all games though just because of the resolution, but it'll likely be amazing for movies.

      +Vighnesh Venkatraman Thanks! Core i5 3570k, GeForce GTX 970 and 16GB DDR3. Friend of mine has a Phenom II X4 with the rest being the same and can play everything just as well it seems, surprisingly.

      No I'm sorry, I just ordered the computer. I don't know anything about them. I ordered the VIVE, and this computer was suggested. Not sure if should of got a better graphics card. No troll here.

      +Kev K sorry somehow I missed your comment. Your computer is absolutely more than enough, that's why I thought it was a troll.
