As most owners know, German Shepherd Dogs are known for being noble and loyal companions. You have wonderfully gathered these instincts which shows in the facial expression of your carving! Great work Tay! Congrats to your customer whom placed the order. Enjoy your GSD and the carving(s) Tay has created. 👍👍👍👍
The pup you created, is a Sable (that is the coat color) German Shepherd. If you looked into her bloodlines, you would find she is a working line dog. You did an ABSOLUTELY ❤ Fantastic job and are Truly a gifted artist. I have owned, bred and shown German Shepherds for 30+ years. I have longcoat European imports, currently have 5 of them and this breed owns my heart and soul. I would proudly display a piece of art of this caliber. 🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾
I was wondering if Sable was her coat color, she was a very pretty girl! I got to meet her briefly in the back seat of their truck when they picked up the carving! Our little rescue dog is mostly a GSD, she is so smart and loyal, we adore her! I bet you have a beautiful bunch of pups! 💛💛
Great work on this German Shepherd. I've owned 3 of them and this brings back such good memories of them. Makes me wish I had such a carving to remember them by. Keep up the great work, you have natural talent.
Ahh...Tay you had me in tears as I grew up with German Shepards as a young boy and you brought back so many special memories I had raising them. My first was a female I named Dutchess of which I never found out what happened to her as I believe someone stole her as she was loved by the neighborhood and would always meet me at friends house when school let out for mom would let her out and she could travel a couple of streets over to meet there and follow me back home as she always went whereever I did except when we had to make sure she didn't climb the fence. Yes climb just as we would as she's get in the corner throw her front legs on the top of the fence and leg up one by one on her rear legs till she cleared the top. We couldn't even play football in the front yard as she's climb the fence and come steal the football. She's rotate it till she found the lace and once she grab hold of the lace off she went to play football herself. Was so cool to watch her do this and bike riding tire tubes replaced all the time as if you bump her while riding she'd grab that front tire and off you went just something she did I think just to make her own fun of watching us fall though we never got hurt nor she either. Was the best dog I ever had and was so heartbroken when we couldn't find her. Few years later got Duke which by the way they both had the same parents and were great dogs themselves for my uncle had them for years but after losing Duke to being hit by a truck which he had a problem of chasing certain ones until he got round underneath one of them as they were 4 wheel drive and jacked up hunting trucks. After that it wasn't till I had my only child my baby girl and we got her labs of which she had two Peanut and Ritz as he had the color of a Ritz cracker and was a beautiful dog and both were super smart though Peanut was overly affectionate when my daughter when outside as he loved her so much he was always trying to lay in her lap which she just couldn't take as he was a good size dog as once he did she could doing anything and alway trying to keep him at bay so she could sit on the porch steps. TIll one day she discovered he couldn't get in the swing with her but that didn't last long either as if she headed to the swing he always got in it first and still tried to get in her lap which she finally just figure out if she'd let him get his loving in she could get him to sit beside her. It was so funny to watch them too together and still till this day she says that was one crazy dog as he was no where near being a lap dog as her thought it was. But she loved him still the same just always wished he'd listen to her when tried to get him to sit beside her instead of right in her lap to which she was trapped as she couldn't move him until he got his loving in. But Tay (that's such a beautiful name by the way) you did a beautifully perfect job on the look I remember well with Dutchess and Duke yet only just a little longer and narrow snout and with the traditional colors as you mention as she was a little darker and he was a lot lighter in color but not like the one you had to go by. But if I could afford it and could find a picture to send you I sure would love to have some of your work as it's so beautiful and what a great and awesome job you are doing. Truly Tay you have the heavenly beautiful gift of chainsaw carving and what a awesomely beautiful job you do. For your the beautiful light of love worth and beauty of which heaven has truly created you to be in the beautiful woman you are and the amazing gift of chainsaw carving you do. Yet I bet this is just a little bit of the amazing woman we are seeing you truly are. Be safe God bless and your amazingly awesome beautiful Tay.
You are freakin talented and it makes me allways happy to see that real craft(wo)mansship is not dead. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer. Can t wait to see more of your wonderfull work.
Love it! You nailed the eyes...the eyes that appear to look through you, that analyze your every move, that make you wonder "if I move too fast, am I in trouble?" I've had German Shepherds. This brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful work.
I know I just made a comment on another video of yours today, but you really have an eye for detail. I absolutely love and appreciate that. Still not naked. Still doing great. Lol. Keep carving young lady
You do amazing work. I am 74 yr old and have chain saw carved 2 trees. All the neighbours love them but I am pondering on the next project. I know this spring will bring a new carving. I will try to match your level of skill.
I'm told I underprice things by carver friends, something I'm working on haha! But I think I price things very fair for how much time and effort I put into each piece :)
So AMAZING again! What a lucky family to have commissioned you TayMarie to carve a Hawk, German Shepherd and a third surprise only us Patreons know about. So COOL, join us! 👍🏻😊
Hey Taylor you hit another one out of the park leant to know how to become a patroon . I have learned a lot by watching you and listening to your videos but I still have some questions. It difficult to find information about chainsaw carving and you do a great job of explaining the process l have been carving for a few years and have difficulty with the finishing aspect so any information on becoming a patron would be appreciated. Keep up the amazing work

You just amaze me how easy you make it look, even though I couldn't begin to imagine myself with a chainsaw. I can't cut up an onion without needing at least one bandaid.😅 Which just proves never cut an onion with a chainsaw😊
Hahah thank you! I edited out all the time I spend staring at the log scratching my head lol 😂 I think the same thing when I watch other carvers, I’m like “wow they make it look soooo easy” 🤦🏼♀️
I can fall a tree where I aim and have split many chords of wood in my life……. Lately, I’m more on the horticulture side of trees……. but what ur able to do with timber is inspiring and hypnotic to watch! Keep up the inspiration!! Take care and have a blessed day
You did a wonderful carving of the German Shepard. Great job. I love the way you make it looks so easy. I do so carving, I do pretty well. But you are fabulous.
Hi. First of all what a beautiful job as allways! I contacted you about my Moms Shepherd and when the time is right i will try to do what i can to help it look better and thank you again for getting back to me! I know my Uncle’s heart was in the right place but i sure wish he would have found someone like yourself with all your talent! BEAUTIFUL! Thank you again! Have a good day
Of course, happy I could help a little! Yes that linseed oil can really change drastically over time, looks beautiful at first but without proper maintenance it can turn black like it did with your mom’s shepherd! Best of luck with the repair, you got this!
OMG that is an awesome German Shepard the artwork is so good ,it shows talent from the head to the tail and so proportional. The tones in the dog would scare or fail most people but you have no fear or doubts. Then to carve outside in winter even with selected days is a feat in its own. Have you ever thought of having a fence to block the wind that has stand legs to it and you can move around or making it semi permanent to block the north wind. Any dog seeing this carve would surely be fooled the first ten minutes it saw it😊
What a kind comment! It’s been a mild winter but just so long, I’m ready for Spring! We are getting up to 20” of snow today 🙄 I will definitely have a wind wall someday! We don’t know how long we will live here so I don’t want to build any too permanent. I built my shelter for those really cold and windy days but it always seems to be housing carvings rather then me, just not enough space for us both 😂
When I was growing up we always had German shepherds, my parents would breed them and sell them to the military and police. You do great justice for the German shepherds. Beautiful job. (Ricky)===::: 🤠👍
There are two pictures of the dog in the video, I show her during the finish work! She’s a Sable GSD. This wasn’t a memorial piece so I got to briefly meet her too!
@@TayMarie23So you did! Sorry im a bit tired at the moment early morning late nights in lambing season. i might have nodded of for a bit when you showed him! doh. Do you get a picture for each of your designs? or do you you do some off the top of your head?
What's your background in Anatomy? OR, as they say do you "wing it". I LOVE your videos, interesting to watch and it just amazes me the output from chain saws. Great work Tay....good going.
Unbelievable talent as always good to see you back. Just curious what sprayer is that and what paint do you use? Keep up the good work and hope to see many, many more videos in the near future. Oops! Disregard! Just read it in the description. 🤣
I think you’re amazing carver I’m very impressed with you sculptures. I want to ask…. The oil that you use… what kind is it.. do I use it before or after the painting of the sculpture.
Can only use it if you are working with all oil based paints and stains. You might be able to get away with acrylics but I have no idea, every thing I use is oil based. For paint I use the TWP (1500 series) underneath and wait 2-3 days until dry then paint overtop. For stains you can do either over or under but I usually will stain underneath and then apply my preserving oils after the stain is dry. Hope that helps!

Tay, Just watched your wood carving of the German Shepard. I am a new person coming into chainsaw wood carvings, I am interested to know what you use as a final seal coat? Thank you for any information you can share.
Every project is different but my go to is oil based SPAR urethane cut with some mineral spirits, maybe 5:1. Just be aware that if you apply spar over white it will look dirty due to the amber hue it has for UV protection. If you ever have to apply over white cut it 60/40 with spirits. Keep carving friend!
Less than you might think! I dress my bars often and keep them sharp! Most of my chainsaws last 6mo-1yr+. Usually only blow a chain when I hit a huge chunk of metal in the log, which seems to only ever happen when it’s a band new chain…🥲
Man its nice to see a woman with real skills .. And not some chick setting up a tent in her bikini ! Excellent work. Your very modest as well, which looks good on you !
If you become a Patron, do you get to see you carving with a chainsaw au naturalé ? Could boost your UA-cam numbers through the roof…..very profitable for a little loss of dignity and personal privacy……just a suggestion as you are a very beautiful woman with a lot of charm and vivid character which flows from your videos through the screen to your admirers…..food for thought I hope but then again I have always had an overactive imagination unfortunately….
I don't need my numbers through the roof, I do this because I enjoy it. I'm doing just fine over here with all my clothes on, thank you. Patreon members get carving advice and knowledge, it's a place where I further share my passion for wood carving...not everything needs to be sexulized.

The clinet can do that if they wish
Really nice work...do you have a boyfriend?
Thank you! And yes, going on 8 years with my love 💛😊
Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Of course! Thank you!
