- Hello again! In today's tutorial we are making a wood spirit out of cedar. I have always enjoyed carving wood spirits just because you never know what they are going to look like. It is a longer video, but I felt it was necessary to show as much as possible to give the audience a good grasp on how to carve one. Chainsaws and other power tools will be used. Always be safe while using. Please hit the Subscribe button and give the video a Like.
Also here are some links to find some of the tools I use today:

First time watching and subscribed. This is a awesome piece. The red cedar is so colorful. I've been doing walking sticks out of red cedar. Going to try this wood spirit for sure. Thanks for sharing.

That Cedar looks like it carves easy. Not much Cedar in NY where i live.
Not much here In Kentucky either. They grow a lot smaller. Thanks for watching though.
The sprocket for my carving bar just came in today, can't wait to make this. One question, where or how do you get all your wood/logs? Thanks.
I found a guy in my area that has a small sawmill as his second job. And I always keep a eye out for trees down and look on the facebook for free logs.
schöne grüße aus germany ich habe kein wort verstanden. aber du hast es sehr gut erklärt vielen dank.
Hey BJ, great stuff, what's the burr you've got on your die grinder?
It’s a saburrtooh burr cylinder type I think 🤔
Who makes that long bit you have on your die grinder? I kind of like the length of it.
It is made by saburrtooth.
@@GlowingJacksCarvings thanks, I got mainly Kutzall bits but might have to get this one.
