It's nice to see these companies recognizing how important you are! Great video :)
I’m important to the world in general. Nice that SOME are noticing 🤣
Everytime i watch your videos,:
1)i am so entertained because of your humour
2)i know why i am in love with canada (so nice people, wonderfull nature)
what a nice comments - you must be Canadian 😀
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis only in my heart :D - in real life i am german
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it.
Great review as always!
Mark, your channel is the among the ones I look forward to the most with new videos. Thank you for keeping us updated, your great sense of humor and playfulness, and content. I support you when I can with using your links. Do you have a website with all of the lenses, microphones, cameras, etc. that you suggest (with affiliate links)? Just curious. I've seen people do this and didn't know if you have the same.
thanks for the kind words and support. The website is a good idea!! I have one, but I basically do nothing with it. having all the gear there would be smart
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis If and when you put that on there, mention it and it'll help you get some supportive revenue. Have a great one, Mark.
‘This lens has changed my life’….it grew your biceps! Loved the airplane shot too! Nice lens!
24 inch pythons, brother!!
Down-step filter to 67mm works perfect. Considering that 105 mm lens filter are double the price to a regular size and we already had some 67 mm filters. We did down step to 67mm filters and worked perfect. Is a crop sensor so we don't know about full frame camera. Thanks for your channel. It's one of the best!!
Great video Mark, love the humor, as usual. I had the Sigma 150-600 C for my Nikon, but it got too heavy for me and I don't use it enough. It's an amazing lens and someone else who's more into wildlife photography is enjoying it now. I shoot some wildlife once in a while, but enjoy a bit lighter lens to carry around all day. This seems like a great update, adding that 60mm now, that's quite something.
yeah, the people I was shooting with were all talking about how heavy wildlife lenses are. everyone has at least a monopod with them to help
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that's definitely needed, especially if you're not as young as you are anymore... or simply want the best shot possible.
The Sigma 150-600 contemporary for Canon EF works perfectly on Sony A7IV with the MC11 adapter. So light. The E mount additions are a bit heavy for me. I know native lenses are better, but that adapter is impressive.
Now you’re just showing off ..... and it’s depressing me. Lol!!! The sound of your happy voice makes my day. I enjoy your content so much. Always look forward to it.
I’m depressed too because I have to send it back 😂
That is a beast of a lens!
indeed it is!!
Cool man! You seem really excited, that's what it's all about! That stabilization really seems to be the ticket with the lens. No need to have the camera fight the lens stabe if the lens is so good... Seems like Kasey could use one of those. You just outclassed his wildlife videography with one simple demo :)
it was fun!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Seems like it! Mark Squared vs The Wildlife 😛
Another great'n funny video Mark!
Just loved the lens, and got my hands itching to buy one when its available...
See ya Mark...
Super cool
I love sigma and I really want this lens!!! Cute snowy owl!!!

Finally getting some respect!!! Way to go Mark!!!

Great lens!... 👌
Lens looks awesome 👍 soon you will be invited to Japan too for camera releases !
I don't need the trip - just access to the gear :)
Snowy fluffy owl was beautiful :)
it was a cute, lazy bird!!
At last a company that recognized your talent !
FINALLY. 😂

that OS is amazing
shocking
Congrats on getting on Sigma's embargo list!
They are smart people 😂
Ok, this is my favorite episode.
First off, I've never seen anyone refer to a Snowy Owl as an a**hole (I almost had a rootbeer out the nose incident - yes rootbeer, not beer playfully called rootbeer).
But most importantly, where are all the Mark & Mark episodes? We must have more wildlife and nature walks with Mark & Mark.
more Mark and Mark!! 🤣🤣
Any idea what the retail price might be? Perhaps in US $? I love your channel! You helped me decide between buying a camera that I was pretty sure I’d want the next iteration of or buying a camera I could live with and learn to use but invest in lenses for when the golden camera comes along. I went with little Doug. I HATE that it has no viewfinder but it had a lot of other great things to offer. Thank you for your channel. I’ve learned a ton! You’re the kind of teacher that is able to bring content down to a beginner level without impacting advanced practitioners. I really respect that. I learn fast so I appreciate the nod to newbies but will soon be right there with those salty dogs of the lens. I’m so glad you’re not above putting out a beginner video. Also, a word to those that think they are advanced, take a lesson from all master artists, never be afraid to look at something with fresh eyes. I’m a nurse by trade which makes me a teacher and a student all the time. There is always something to learn! I love your sense of humor as well. Keep doing what you’re doing and thanks for the content. Any intro videos to little Dougie are welcome BTW’s. I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and it’s been raining the entire time! Wish Doug was a little more weather tolerant. Any stuff I could get to make him a little more dust, mud, or mist tolerant would be amazing! Thanks again!
I mentioned it quickly in the vid, but it’s $1999 usd
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks! I missed the price. Anyhow, stay awesome!
Great review Mark! This lens seems pretty interesting for wildlife photography 👌
Thanks, Luca!!
GREAT for vlogs 😂
THE BEST. I personally like to vlog at 600mm exclusively
Not a lens I expected from Sigma. I currently use their 100-400 with my A6400 to give myself the 150-600 equivalent at a lower price. But I was still considering the 150-600 or another longer lens because I feel sometimes the 400mm(600mm) isn't enough. But at the same time, I sometimes found myself with to much reach even at 100mm. While this lens is more expensive than the 150-600, it's improved focusing motors, larger focal range, and that it includes the ring for tripod mounting, I expected it to cost about $2200. Being right at $2k, I think this will be a very popular lens for Sigma, and one heavily considered for my collection.
I’m sure you’re right - this will be very useful to tons of people
Hmm, so a 60-600. That's a nice spread actually. I want this for a track day.
crazy versatile
From your experience what would you say is the best lens at the lower end of the market for wide angle property photography, something like a 14 or 16mm? 2.8 or preferably faster.
I haven’t tried any and I know you get to try lots of different lenses. Any advice is very welcome if you don’t mind 👍😊
for full frame or apsc?
Hey Mark, APS-C shooter here. Maybe I missed it but how do you think this new lens compares optically to the 150-600? I already have the 70-200 f4, looking for something a bit further for sports and I don't see myself using the 60-150 range much. For the price difference, it's maybe better to pick up another a6x00 body to leave the 70-200 f4 available w/o switching lenses. Then I've got one long lens on a monopod and I can handheld shoot the 70-200. Thanks!
the 150-600 is great and you won’t see much difference in sharpness and autofocus. pulse it’s lighter and cheaper. definitely a great option if you don’t need the 60-150 range
I was looking at this lens. I have no telephoto lens for A7IV. Been using Sony 70-350 on Sony A6600. Thinking of selling A6600 to get either Sigma 60-600 or 150-600. Does full frame have any advantage over APSC for bird photography? I know APSC gives a crop, so my current lens is giving 500 mm. I know people must have a reason to carry such a heavy lens.
this lens has good stability - but it's heavy. My guess that it will be easier to get bird shots with the APS-C. Full frame doesn't necessarily have an advantage - in good light. In fact, a lot of people choose Olympus Micro 4/3 for wildlife
that thing is huge! you already know what she said.
She said, “I don’t hang out with nerds who photograph birds”
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis 😀 thanks goodness I didn't have to spell it out!
Perfect vlogging lens. That stabilization though... also useful for video?
perfect Vlog lens. you really can use it for video. Dustin Abbot did some in his review
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Dustbin who? I only watch Camera Crisis
@@StirfriedGerman LOL
Do u recommend this lens for wildlife photography with the Sony ZV-E10?
I would get a full frame for this lens. or at least a camera with a viewfinder like the a6400
Wow, what a lens. I almost bought the Sony 200-600 but now may jump on this juicy beast. If only it had internal zooming it would be perfect (might be almost perfect anyway). How worried are you about dust getting sucked in over time?
I definitely prefer the internal zooming - I'm on the fence between the two. I have to try out the sony lens some more
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks, Mark. The autofocus and stabilization of that Sigma are pretty incredible. Let us know what you think!
What about filming wildlife with the FX30? Would this be a viable option?
for sure it would be - but you’re gonna want a sturdy tripod 😀
Now i can work "home office" as a photographer xD
not related to this lens but does anyone have any comparisons on sharpness for the sony 18-135mm vs sigma 16-50mm?
i know the sigma is sharper, but are they in the same ballpark? haha
Would you choose the A7IV with this new Sigma or the Sony 200-600?
it's tough - for the a7iv - the burst rate is only 10fps - so the sigma won't be limited and has that better zoom range and amazing stability. But the Sony is an all internal zoom and if I wanted to upgrade to an A1 or whenever a newer sony body comes out - then the 200-600 would be better. So the safer bet is the Sony if you don't need the 60-200
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis great points. I haven't purchased the A7IV yet. Would you go with the new Panasonic S5ii (or S5iix) instead?
Hi, Mark :) Just got my first camera (the ZV-E10) to record my daughter's basketball games and maybe to start my YT channel :) I got a 16mm Sigma lens, the Sirui 24mm anamorphic, and I want to buy a telephoto lens that is good for the games but that doesn't break the bank. What are your thought about the Sony SEL-55210? Good enough to record the basketball games? Thank you for your time and for all the amazing content you produce!!! You ROCK!!! Hugs from Portugal :)
The 55-210 can be a great option for that yes. Tomorrow I'm trying to get out a lens roundup video and I'll be sure to include that.
Thank you,@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis :)
I have my eye on this or the Sony 200-600. As I understand it, some 3rd party lens compromise the fps in burst mode. This is essential for wildlife. Is this the case for the Sigma? If so, if I intend to spend most time zoomed in and the wide angle of the Sigma is not so compelling, I'm drawn tot he Sony lens. The prices are not so different.
Sony unfortunately limits all 3rd party lenses to 15 fps. That's not a problem for me because I have Sony's that only shoot 10fps. But for people with something like the A1 - the Sony 200-600 makes more sense. The Sony would be the safer bet for future cameras - especially if you don't think you'll utilize the 60-200 focal range
I don’t know if I should use this lens for squirrel footage in my suburban neighborhood. People don’t take kindly to telephoto lenses pointed toward their homes. Seriously, I do want this lens. Sigma is real quality.
Thank Mark for such a FUNNY & INFORMATIVE review in photography perspective. However, the review of video shooting with this lens is missing. That's STRANGE because you're primarily a videographer!
They weren't really marketing it at videographers due to the size - but you're right - there's no reason you can't use for videography!!
13:23 This is the second time I’ve ever went out 😂
I don’t leave much 😂
That jumbo jet might be a bit much for me and my zv-e10. I think my best option still seems to be the sony 70-350.
this is for one of the biggger cams for sure 🤣
I wonder how it compares to the Sony 200-600, at 400 or 600mm? I have the 200-600 and I have to say the Sigma looks interesting.
the 200-600 seems as sharp and as good at focusing, a pound lighter,. but the zoom range is much less. The stabilization on the sigma is also bonkers.
BTW, I'm annoying my husband with this camera stuff now and made him watch this one. It's Mother's Day. I can do that. Interjection? "Wow." That zoom IS bonkers.
Sidenote:
I don't know how many beginners watch your channel, if it would be possible or worth your time, but I'd pay for a basics to in-depth ZV-E10 course with assignments (yes, I'm a nerd). I always get farther faster with a class rather than reading manuals ( yes, I read the whole manual 😐) and fumbling through on my own.
Anyway, I've been looking through what's out there, and nothing seems very thorough.
I like Mark the birder Feature him more
he’s so energetic!!
Bro i have sony zve-10 with kit lens bro give me one lens for vedio vlog pleses
Getting big 👀
Embargo champ.
🏆🏆
will sony make a new telephoto lens that will replace the sony e 70-350mm, thinking of buying that lens for my sony zv-e10 but sony might suddenly release a new zoom lens for aps-c,hehe
I have no idea. - they don’t tell me anyth8nf 🤣. but the 70-350 came up in 2019, so it’s not that old. I doubt you will see a direct replacement soon, but they could come out with other telephoto apsc lenses
I like the image quality of Sony 100-400 GM and its semi-macro capabilities to shoot 🦋 and insects but it lacks the reach of Sony 200-600. I was thinking of Sigma 60-600 which will has both the reach & semi macro capabilities but i am worried about its image quality. I own a7iv body.
Can you use it for portrait like 70-200?
you can absolutely, but it’s a big heavy lens
Would this lens be better than the Sony 100-400mm G Master?
Not better, but a much further reach. However the GM will have a faster burst rate on the high end cameras because Sony limits the burst rate to 15 fps
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis is there any advantage the Sony has other than burst?
Not really - no. This Sigma lens is equal to a GM in quality in may opinion - it's stabilization is amazing and its reach is fantastic
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis interesting. I wonder why people still prefer the G Master if burst is not of concern.
I hope my shootings needs never require the use of a lens that big. That would take all the fun out shooting for me. Cheers.
it’s not joke - the sports and wildlife people have to hot the gym 🤣
That thing looks like I could mount it on a tank and go to war! 😂
you’ll get some great photos with that tank
Buying this if we can teleconvert.. please.. Sony?.. please?
I don't think it will work - it doesn't work with the other sigma 150-600.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that's alright, still nice to see a new long 3rd party lens! Thanks for the video!
Are you able to prove that the tripod mount actually offers stability to the lense when fixed to the tripod .. in which the lense doesn't vibrate, shake when the tripod being locked
Can sigma give a garuntee .. that they will release firmware updates .. unlike with the Sigma 150-600c it being 10 yrs old . and never once bothered releasing any firmware updates .. and i wasted my money on the USB Dock .
And i use the Sigma 150-600c it's a flawed lense .
The tripod foot is very sturdy - But I have no idea how many updates if any the lens will get. Works great right now though 😃
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Shouldn't you be asking Sigma as they gave you it to Review . And it's off no Surprise there is a mirrorless version . Since YT gear reviwers were pushing the 150-600c to use with the Canon R7 , R5 only then to complain of the faults lol
Sigma updated the original 150-600 for EF 8 times since 2015. They are currently on version 2.0.2 www.sigma-global.com/en/lenses/s014_150_600_5_63/?tab=support&local=firmware
Perhaps you are taking about a different lens? Sigma have already updated this new lens twice and a third time will happen before release date. Of course they say they will update it if necessary, but I'm saying I have no idea if or when they will. I can't speak about the canon 150-600 version because I've never used it, plus it would have to adapted for RF. But this lens is only for L-Mount and E-Mount. All of my sigma lenses get regular updates.
Helo bro
