      The left has been hijacked by zealots that care more about criminals than regular citizens. Everyone is too polarized to care.

      When the victim’s daughter asked that the case be re-examined, she was dismissed. Then when a distant male relative called with the same request, they reopen the case.

      The modern liberal justice system doesn't care about anyone; not the men, women and children among the innocent law-abiding public, not juvenile offenders who still have a chance to be reformed, not shameless adult criminals who need to be punished. No protection for the innocent and no punishment for the wicked demonstrates an absence of true love and compassion for both.

    • @mjallen1308
      @mjallen1308 Місяць тому

      @@sandrafaithExactly! People don’t seem to understand that there are sentencing guidelines and rules that judges adhere to depending on the charge/conviction and then some suspects plead to a lesser charge especially if it’s a first offense. It’s not saying it’s right, it just takes the legal system a long time to catch up to things. And, also like you said, the 1970s was a different time and things have changed because of cases like this. If even heard judges become visibly angry and tell the defendant that they wish they could sentence them to more time but the guidelines. I’m sure some of these judges would love to lock them up and throw away the key. I’m sure they don’t look at the record like “oh you pistol whipped her, tied her up, threatened to cut her throat… ya know boys will be boys. PROBATION!” We have to read the decision and the judge will tell you exactly why he sentenced him that way.

    I'm convinced that the male-dominated justice system, especially back in the day, treated SA like jaywalking because men wanted to reserve the right to offend against women with little to no consequence. That's where we're still at today, largely, and the motivation is the same. No man wants to think about a 50 year sentence for 'just' forcing sex on someone when it suits their own inclination. SA doesn't mean much judicially because it doesn't mean much to men. What a world.

DNA was advanced enough in 2009 to solve this specific case because it was just a matter of getting his DNA and matching it to what they had. It's such a shame that there are detectives out there who aren't 1000% in their careers to do good for families! I'm so glad that when they were contacted again a different detective got the call, looked into the case just to give a true answer to an inquiry about it and saw it could be solved and actually solved it! There's no room for guys like that first detective! They need to get out of the way and let the ones who truly care have their spot!
