compared to the older model, the full 360 is an upgrade, BUT how do you get around not having the two buttons on the front? you start the video and keep it rolling until the camera dies out or you come out of the water?
Don’t love how most of the videos about the insta360 cameras are 90% people talking about it and 5% footage…

I have the old dive case, not the bulbous lens one but the smaller lens one, it’s stood up to to some harsh windsurfing use in the sea, the plastic clips break after a few uses as very fragile and never trusted them so have always tapped them. Mine has four button usage and hope this new one I’ve ordered will be better for the 360 stitching as mine is usable but have to keep reframing to keep case edges out of shot. Very important to use moisture pads as steams up without them.

I found out from another poster that even tho I had updated the firmware via the app, the app update was not enough. Once I downloaded the most current firmware (BIN file) to my desktop and then copied over to the memory card, NOW it works. Insta360 mentions to update the firmware but they do not articulate that probably the most current firmware should be installed via a desktop.
I wanted to see what I was doing wrong, but this isn't the video for help... the sand will scratch up the case, you forgot the anti fog inserts and your hands were sandy as hell😂

I know you've asked this a while ago, but there are wrist chords with a tiny screw on Amazon that you can screw right into the invisible selfie stick. I used that myself on my trip to Madeira, so I didn't have to worry about dropping it anywhere (not just below water, but also above).

Great video. I have a problem.. my record button does not work when i put the camera in diving mode. when i press the button, it just takes me to the custom selection screen.. any idea why its not work properly?
I am having the same problem...all the vids say just push the button but I get stuck at the custom window
Same problem.,they dont show after they locked the dive case.,when i turn it on and the lower part takes me to the custom too😢
@@jaylenashervlog8903 I found out you need to update the firmware via desktop computer not via the app. Then it works.
Does the case work flawlessly even out of the water. Or are there unwanted reflections?

Why do you need a case? insta360 it's waterproof to 10m and you're not filming that deep, so is it safer or just to test the product?
Think it’s a good idea as there have been some people experiencing water leaking, adds another layer of protection to those vulnerable lenses 😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩

yea and we swam with it with no case! the camera still works fine but the 360 look doesn't work underwater without the case.

I think its a pretty crappy move on the part of Insta to release a direct replacement for the old case, addressing flaws which should not have even been present in the old case, whilst offering no kind of trade-in incentive for those of us stuck with the old one.
Waste of money, waste of plastic, and just kinda shows contempt for consumers.
I second that, I literally bought the "old" one two weeks before this release, NOT happy about that....
So basically you showed next to nothing. NO comparisons between case and no case despite saying you would compare the 2 in video and spent more time talking above water than hsowing footage and how to use below water
