What I love about your videos is the movement. Thanks for this mini lesson on how you achieve it. Great addition to any videographer's toolkit. It does things that other cameras cannot do. Thanks again. 👍👍👍
I wasn't sure where this video was going when it autoplayed. But I've found it so useful and learnt a lot from it and not just for the X3 which I recently purchased. Thanks.
DAMMIT you're so friggin good with these cameras. I'd love to see a tips and tricks of how you edit such beautiful movement on the desktop insta studio app
Pan or tilt the camera angle in post on the opposite direction you're filming with an Insta360 camera. If I'm lowering the camera, I'm tilting up in post. If I'm lifting, I'm tilting down. If I'm moving left, I'm panning right. For crane shots, pan and tilt in the opposite directions you're moving. This has served me a lot in general when composing the shot in my head when filming on the field.
I did some tests when i got my x3 to figure out how to get the highest image quality and at first manual log iso100 with a little underexposure seemed like a good option but after a full day of testing more scenarios with the initial thought that manual mode would look the most natural I found that HDR mode is significantly better for pretty much everything except maybe the very lowest light shots. My assumption was that manual would be good especially at the lowest ISO but it seems HDR is just much better for everything despite being autoexposure and having no manual control. I found HDR just looks so much better despite the auto exposure and the occasional odd tonality from the HDR. The range of low light scenes where manual might be better is also very very narrow since there seemed to be practically no benefit from raising the iso past 200, the camera might even be iso invariant.
Fantastic video! I just bought the new Insta360 X4 and was looking for some tips and tricks. Your video is great because you take the time to show how you made the shot. So many Insta360 videos are just crappy shots made by people that have never edited a video and have very poor skills. I will be using many of your tips on my next fews trips abroad.
Hello Brandon, I have learned a lot from your videos and watch them as much as I can. For the dual selfie stick trick. Will the part that you connect the 2 selfie stick be able to handle the load? Specially when both are extended?
Hi, Nice video, do you have a video on how to colour correct it in davinci at all. or is they a way to import it in to resolve as a log format to get better correction. many thanks
Obrigado, Brandon !!! estou na duvida entre comprar a X3 e a Insta ONE...apesar de ser iniciante, acho que valeria a pena ja investir na INSTA ONE. Abs
Appreciate the tips ... but (and I am sure I am the 10,000th person to say so), Roswell is in NM, and Area 51 is in Nevada. If you wanted to get BOTH in one shot ... you'd need a REALLY long selfie stick! : )
have been enjoying this lil cam, but I'll be doing an off road challenge segment shoot in Utah next month..almost thinking of getting the 1 inch sensor version. Saw your vid on that camera so I'm torn whether or not to snag that bigger sensor. I don't believe I'll be doing any "underwater" transitional type stuff so waterproof won't be a factor. Must contemplate on the tree of Woe
The dual selfie stick idea, never seen before and seems brilliant to me, more compact and less expensive than the 3m stick. What's your long term experience? Anything broken e.g. skrew from first stick?
Brandon I loved your channel, I have an Insta 360, but I used the lens protectors because they greatly affect the quality of the video. I would like to read your opinion. Once again my greetings and excellent content.
I have watched a number of your video-taking knowhow. In my opinion, the most important feature of your Know-How series is the way you use your own physical abilities in your filming. In particular, your backstep is so nimble it's as if you have eyes in the back of your head. In that sense, you could be the Bruce Lee of the video industry, couldn't you?
Bravo.. You are a professional, there are simply no words. Good afternoon, I am also a photographer and videographer. Say please? Which is better for photos and videos: SONY XPERIA PRO-I, SONY XPERIA 1V or S 23 ultra, your advice please, which one should I take? I'm really looking forward to your response. Thank you very much in advance.
I'm so frustrated. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I just can't get it to work or to export from my laptop. And this first video I did I don't know why its flattened out like this. It is really not turning out to be as user friendly as I had hoped.
Just a heads up.. I just learned that it's illegal to film in/on National Park property for profit. I don't know if your channel is monetized or not but if so this could be a problem. Don't want to be a buzz kill but just wanted to pass along the info so you don't get in any kind of trouble. All the best!
@@lukeoftheskythatsometimesw8253 I first heard another UA-camr say it wasn’t allowed and I couldn’t believe it was true but I was really surprised to find that it is… “Federal law requires a permit for all commercial filming, no matter the size of the crew or the type of equipment. This includes individuals or small groups that don’t use much equipment, but generate revenue by posting footage on websites, such as UA-cam and TikTok.” www.nps.gov/aboutus/news/commercial-film-and-photo-permits.htm The website also says that for commercial filming with 1-2 people with a camera and tripod only (like you were doing) have to pay $0 for a permit. So the government wants to spend money on man power to process a permit costing $0. Haha! I can not imagine anyone would ever come after you as long as you followed park rules and stayed low key. But I just thought I would mention it because I had no idea such a rule even existed and don’t want to see anyone negatively impacted.
This couldn't be more perfect, I'm about to get an Insta360 X3 myself and was right where you were with my GoPro HERO10 less than a year ago! ua-cam.com/video/5EGz6-OdK_Y/v-deo.html Thanks for the tips!
hi brandon, the TIP11, or in low light or excessive light conditions, wouldn't it be better to shoot in HDR mode? when do you recommend shooting in HDR and when in normal? Cool like always ! i DM you in IG about this, it would be nice if you make a video about colorgrading the 1080 footage of the inst360 1inch ! what do you think ?
"Thank you insta 360 for sponsoring this video" - You are the ambassador of insta 360.
They are the ones who have to thank you for making this video.
What I love about your videos is the movement. Thanks for this mini lesson on how you achieve it. Great addition to any videographer's toolkit. It does things that other cameras cannot do. Thanks again. 👍👍👍
Best insta video I’ve seen yet! Your examples and final shots are great! Thanks MGF
Aloha B,
I got the Smallrig Kit and it is amazing. Appreciate the work you do. Mahalo 🤙🏾
Amazing Bro, love from Shenzhen 😊
Great Video Brandon! Kobe is doing a Great Job filming you! Omg you trained her Very Well!
Nice to see Kobe again. Started to miss her in your videos.
Lovely and so helpful! I have go3 and X3 and will be experimenting in my local grocery store ... Thank you!
Outstanding video; I just got the Insta360 X3 camera and will definitely be utilizing some of your tips.
I wasn't sure where this video was going when it autoplayed. But I've found it so useful and learnt a lot from it and not just for the X3 which I recently purchased. Thanks.
Why would you use two short selfie sticks (05:22) when they are themselves extendable?
Each selfie stick can fit in my back pocket so I can make them disappear. Putting 2 together makes them longer.
Wow so many great shot ideas. Will be trying these in my next video.
Can show the screen which mode do you use each scene? Thanks
These insta360 x3 tips are amazing!
Thank you!
It's amazing! I need to buy this camera righ now. My travels never gonna be the same. Thank you for the video, It's very rich of details.
Such a helpful post. Nice to see your technique and tips for making so many great shots. Much appreciated and very well done. Thanks
I like your tricks more than best360

Great video and some really good tips on 360 travel shots. BTW, Area 51 is in Nevada, not NM.
You are really creative Brandon...

That’s a good way to say it! Usually I’m reframing to center the subject
The image on insta 360 X 3 looks CINEMATIC
Nice Video👍

Thank you for the valuable information! My X3 is being delivered tomorrow so I'm trying to prep for its use in Baja, MX this winter.
That is a pretty amazing video. I'm amazed at the footage you're getting and the simple yet creative results. Wow
Fabulous !!
Outstanding! Thank you
This is a great video to have some different ideas to make videos.❤

1 inch for sure
Nice tips. Much appreciated.
have you visited some bb and bcs shoot locations?
Thanks a lot for the tutorials. I was hoping for a montage of all the clips in the end 😊

I was thinking dji pocket 3 or insta 360 x3 for my ski trip next month. Not making it any easier😂 amazing contents man!
Excelente!!!

may I ask what tripods you are using? (the longer one, not the official insta 360 tripod and how to hide it) thank you

what brandname is your monopod?
Amazing!✌️
i learned a lot from you ❤
Do you think standard works better than log with the X3? (Or any insta360 product)
The dual selfie stick idea, never seen before and seems brilliant to me, more compact and less expensive than the 3m stick. What's your long term experience? Anything broken e.g. skrew from first stick?

Same issues ...they get scratches easily..😅 my footage sucks
You’re videos are so good
What setting or mode do I need to be in when I extend the Insta360 for me NOT to be in the shot with those forward movement shots like fly through?
I think it’s Direction lock (in insta360 studio)
Do you use a Lut when you edit your footage?
Not with x4, I just shoot standard color
Pls provide the best settings for normal picture taking
Hello from Brazil!
love this but man i hope they do an 8k cam soon

Nice video I'm thinking to buy x3 for my trevel vlog🎉
It's pretty neat, thanks so much. It's a pity the footage itself out of the camera is not crisp.
Tq2
Nice!
Do you need the invisible selfie stick for the Insta360 x3 or will any selfie stick be erased on your shot?
amazing
Not bad... Not bad at all... I liked the "cultural" references. Never seen that in these tutorial videos before
I like your hat a lot Brandon. Do you know what style that is?
Forgot to say how great and helpful your videos are.
Thanks, Henschel Aussie Breezer
Amazing video when you use insta 360 x3
you don't realize how strong someone is until you've seen them at their weakest moment😊
I still have problem with the stiching line...😰

In India Shopping Centre Doesn't Allow you to film until you have High influence 😂
Area 51 is not in New Mexico, it's in Nevada.
😂😂😂
This made me LOL
That's what they want you to think
Either way...area 51 is in the same zip code as yo mamma's a**.....👀....🤣🤣🤣🤣....👀...👀....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He didn't say it was in Mexico 🤦♂️
The quality of footages I capture using my x3 is sub standard for some reason. Not sure what’s going on.
All im need is creative 😣

I’m pretty sure that’s with using a drone …
Drone flights are strictly prohibited in ANY national park.

The image quality looks like crap on the X3. Will see reviews for the RS 1 inch now.
Which is better? This or the dji osmo pocket 3?
hi brandon, the TIP11, or in low light or excessive light conditions, wouldn't it be better to shoot in HDR mode? when do you recommend shooting in HDR and when in normal?
