I think the way he knows it's Peach despite the invisibility badge is described by himself in the invisible dialogue: he can see through it. (Or rather, not see through you, or something) He fused entirely with the Wonder Flower and became entwined with all the power within it. This presumably means he can tell all the badge powers and the ones that would affect him (like the invisibility affecting his ability to see you) are somewhat ineffective
I also wouldn't be surprised if the green glowing effect in his eyes is the exact same as the lights in the Boo's mansion just revealing the invisible characters to only him as apart of his vision.
I haven't even played this game and I've only watched this one video and even then I can tell the point is that the green light in his eyes is the same as the green light that revealed you before.
Fun fact: in the original SMB, walking into a koopa from behind causes it to turn around. The reason is because they tried to do the biting animation back then, but couldn't because of technical limitations (Goombas are a single frame that flips because that's all the space they had left) The secret tunnel is presumably just so that the bullrushes don't destroy both goals.
Honestly the talking flowers really impressed me, I thought they would be super annoying but I never once wanted to turn them off while playing through it, and still don't
I turned them off once to compare with just txt, but as soon as heard it “Was it something I said?” I immediately turned it back on. The only other time I turned it off was because I was having difficulty beating the final final lvl.
I’m surprised this one wasn’t mentioned with the note block info (or maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see it), but I find it extremely cool that, in many stages, the note blocks will actually play the same notes that are currently playing in the melody of the background music. I know for a fact it happens in airships and during the Piranha Plants on Parade stage. If you run on a long path of note blocks, a pitched percussive instrument of some sort (maybe a marimba?) will back up the melody, holding out longer notes with a tremolo run if you run fast enough on them, and it ends up sounding pretty cool.
Obviously the music block rumble is awesome, but my second-favorite use of the HD rumble is that if you're holding an enemy thats going to break out of your grip, like a Koopa or Takebo, you can feel it wobbling around in your hands as if you were actually holding it.
13:55 if you count the fact that the rhythm jump badge adds percussion to most songs (and even More percussion if you perform your jumps correctly), you could say there are up to 8 versions of the songs (normal idle, normal moving, elephant idle, elephant moving, normal rhythm jump badge, normal good performance rhythm jump badge, elephant rhythm jump badge, and elephant good performance rhythm jump badge)
@@MarioFunYT I believe that's just a low-pass filter on the main idle and moving tracks, which would almost certainly be done with a post-processing effect in real-time.
I actually got a bit of an idea on why Bowser can see Peach in the final battle even with invisibility. Its probably because the badge has the same Wonder Energy that Bowser is overflowing with, so he's using that power to nullify the effects of the badge, but only for his vision.
He could also just be seeing the wonder energy coming off of the badge. Granted, a Peach-shaped wonder aura would be difficult to tell apart from a Daisy-shaped wonder aura for most people. Well, ones who hadn't kidnapped the former over a dozen times over 30+ years, at least.
They do this in most games they’re in. Even in SMM2, the ones in the SMB3 style have their eyes pointed low to make it look like they’re staring at the ground to make sure they don’t fall off.
Another thing with the music notes and controller vibrations, in the piranha plants on pirade and semifinal test stages, the music notes will change pitch depending on what point of the song you're in. The controller rumble changes in the same way, so you can hear the melody in your controller! I'd assume it would work in the same way for the king boo opera stage if it has noteblocks but I haven’t tested or anything
The vibrating isn't actually Nintendo's first rodeo with this either. Spoiler for Kirby star allies At the end of one of the speical stages at the end of the game, they will play the og kirby tune via the hd rumble. It's awesome
the wiggler does also have a bunch of different facial animations, when you overtake him, he overtakes you, you die on screen, or when you leave him behind a lot you can see that he will push himself to go faster... maybe thats why he has that insane rubber banding...
At the end, he knows it's Peach because he can see people even when they're wearing the invisibility badge. He literally just said it! The question is, do his targeted attacks still target you with the invisibility badge on?
18:46 I like to think that Bowser can "sense" her essence/soul thanks to the condensed wonder effect, or maybe the badge only work on mortal, limited beings and so he can see her has if she had no badges on
I love how boos don’t get scared when you look at them with the invisibility badge. It was a really cool touch that makes perfect sense, but I never would have expected it to be added.
Yeah...of course they wouldn’t get scared when you look at them. Why would they? None of the enemies can see you with the invisibility badge, so none of them would react to you.

All of the yoshi's are pitch shifted from one another, can't remember exactly but I think it's something like red is shifted up a little, blue is shifted down a little and yellow shifted up a bit more. I imagine blue toad is regular voice and yellow is a slight pitch shift up.

About the elephant transformation : If you hit an enemy with a hard shell (like a koopa, or a bamboo-thing), it'll get lauched. The fun thing is that you can hit it several time without it touching the ground, and it'll glow brighter and brighter, until the fifth time where it'll explode in the sky, giving 5 coins !
there's another talking flower that is easily missed. in 1-2 the singing piranha plant stage, if you skip the wonder flower there's a talking flower on the ceiling a bit past it. and it will only talk if you bump into it at which point it will vocalize pain and annoyance of growing intensity with each time you "touch" it
To answer your question about how he knows it’s Peach he literately says ‘Did you think that badge would fool me, I can still see you.’ So he can still see her, and I think he knows what Peach looks like.
I assume that because bowser is so powerful with the wonder flower, he is able to see through the invisibility badge. Meaning that to him he can still see you and he knows that your using it
That one about the noteblocks making sound through the controller reminds me of the one Star Allies moment where the statue of Kirby and his dream friends rise out of the ground as your controller vibrates the original Kirby theme
Those talking flowers reprimanding you for skipping the Wonder Flower reminds me of how you can actually get the second Shine in the first Shine's stage in Super Mario Sunshine by properly timing your Hover Nozzle over the pier to the windmill where you fight Petey Piranha. If you do that, the person running the windmill will be confused and ask why you're already over there.
One thing about talking flowers, in a level where the roof is lava, when you finally make it to the pipe to get to the flag, you’ll be greeted by a talking flower that says “ya made it, great job!” But if you jump into the lava next to the flower, it will say “well then..see you later!” I found this out by accidentally jumping into the roof. Lol
I know you're going to be sent this a thousand times, but might as well add to the pile. Obviously if Bowser can see through the Invisibility Badge, he can see that it's Peach underneath
Here's another little player detail - If you equip the fast dash badge and walk long enough or run, you will have your arms out. I find it really cute!
That rumble detail reminds me of that hidden easter egg in Kirby Star Allies where in the secret extra stage of the last chapter of the game, you can press a giant button that summons a giant golden Kirby statue, and while it's rising out of the ground and making the ground shake, the rumble in the controller plays Green Greens!
Something that stood out to me about this video is that all the musical segments are cut smoothly so that they don't drop the beat. It's the same attention to detail that makes the actual game so charming.
2:36 I don't really see that as a bite. I still mostly perceive that as it running into you as the damage dealer, and the open-mouthed expression they do is just them being happy that they hurt you.
Here's another fact for a potential sequel video: When completing a level in World 3 after completing that level, Master Poplin will show up to say a new thing!
In the desert world before you go the Ninji level or standing directly before the level you can hear/feel the Ninji Beat on the controller. Thats how I found the level in the first place
5:04 noticed this during my gameplay, this also happens if you're crouching another thing i've noticed about wonder is that it ressembles the fancy pants adventures series soo much, especially Super Fancy Pants Adventure, they have very common stuff like enemies having expressions and reactions, very detailed animations, bg levels, etc. also i have sooo many fakts for this game
I used the invisibility badge to listen to a night at boos oprah and i found out that if you try to open the door enemys, they'll nock you away and look who the hell opened them.
3:14 the koopa isn’t reacting to its friend dying it’s reacting to the fireball that’s coming towards it, same way that it does to the bubbles from the bubble flower
18:47 I think that the green lights in his eyes are the same as the ones that reveal invisible stuff in the ghost level so he would be able to see invisible stuff
Fun fact: The playable character's eyes in certain wonder forms follow the position of the main joystick, so they look in the direction you're moving, though pointing it up or down will have them look in that direction. It's easiest to see this in the slime/goo wonder effect.
The skadadler thing actually happens with shell enemies which if you throw the shell up with your trunk they get progressively red until they explode into coins (poor koopas😢)
I think it's in outmaway valley, but there's a flower that hypes you up to ride on an ice block kicked by an outmaway, but if you kill it first, the flower will call you no fun
Funfact: I think the sound off? Badge is actually a reference to a video of some drunk guy playing a crash bandicoot game while imitating every sound with his mouth
if you plan on doing more Wonder facts in a future video, a cool one I found is that if you’re doing an online race with friends in a Wiggler Race stage, Wiggler himself will actually join in, with his icon appearing with everyone else’s at the little race start block
There is a secret area in the first stage, but it can only be accessed with the Add ! Block Badge, and also the intro changes depending on what characters you play as, but the only major differences besides from the character you play as just simply being missing (except for the non green Yoshis, Toadette, and Daisy) is that Peach walks if you play as the green Yoshi, and the green Yoshi just walks like how he normally does without a player on him if you play as Peach.
counterpoint to saying the rhythm jump badge is garbage, it's really fun trying to do a full combo on a level with it, only downside is you can't pick up the wonderflower or it stops your combo I've been trying to finish as many levels as possible like this
Another fun fact similar to the Skedaddler fact, did you know you can juggle/combo shells (I think any shell that can be held) in the air by hitting it with your trunk in elephant mode. After doing it a few times without letting the shell touch the ground, the shell disappears and you'll be rewarded coins!
I actually found the rolling ball hall skip on my first playthrough of the level and was super impressed when i got the dialogue. Just such a cool detail they didnt have to put in there but just adds so much to the charm of the game. Genuinely had me smiling because of it
Ninji's Jump Party is also my favorite stage of the entire game. Even tho the Piranha Plant on Parade really surprised me at 1st and became one of my favorites too, I really like the beat of the desert music style of Ninji's Jump Party. Also the fact that the little Fire Piranha Plants move their leaves as they do a little dance is so cute too 😄
In the level “Jump, Jump, Jump!” It is possible to skip ahead a measure🎶 by using the parachute cap. But you can’t put this in a video because it’s useful…
4:29 the playable characters in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends also have ledge-teetering animations not only when facing forwards, but also when facing away. 5:41 The playable Rayman characters in Origins and Legends also have a special animation in which they run in place if the player holds the run button on their console!
One of my favorite really small ones is that on the loading screen when entering the level, there’s a silhouette of the prince in the bottom left. If you press a or b (I forget which one) he does a little bounce and scrolls the spikey design at the bottom
The Rhythm Jump badge definitely isn't useful, but I wouldn't call it garbage! When you're on a chain of 4+ jumps to the beat, an extra layer gets added to the music that you can't hear under any other circumstance, which exists for every music track that supports the badge! It's really cool and it makes maintaining a long streak really satisfying. It also puts a really interesting spin on the way you approach levels if you're trying to maintain the beat, since not only do you have to jump each time, but you're not allowed to jump in between beats without losing your streak. A single Goomba in front of you and a ledge behind you suddenly becomes a lot more tense when you have to wait for the beat to jump, it can be really exciting and it forces you to think things through in advance. I think my favourite level to bring the Rhythm Jump badge into so far is the Pipe-Rock Plateau Palace. The palace theme sounds awesome with the extra layer, and the Bone Goombas that appear throughout the level force you to think on your toes if you don't want to break your streak. Here are some neat facts about the Rhythm Jump badge! 1. Missing a beat doesn't count if you aren't able to act. If the beat where you're supposed to jump hits while you're traveling through a pipe or door, or in a transform animation from collecting a power-up/getting hit, there's no penalty for missing it. I'm pretty sure there's also a bit of leniency if you jump immediately after taking damage, where even if that jump isn't on the beat it doesn't take your streak, but I haven't tested that a lot. 2. Stomping an enemy and bouncing high is pretty interesting - if you do it on the beat (which is extremely satisfying, by the way), it will count it as a jump and continue your streak, but if you do it off the beat, it doesn't count as a jump and so you won't be penalized. I don't know if doing a small stomp (as in, stomping an enemy and not holding Jump) can count as a jump if you do it on the beat or not, I can't remember if I've tried. 3. The same cannot be said for wall jumps, which always count as a jump. This makes it really hard to use a wall jump without breaking your streak, since you can't just jump into a wall and then jump off it - those jumps would be too close together, and if you do try to wait long enough you'll slide too far down the wall. 4. It's possible to out-push a Shova while keeping your Rhythm Jump streak going! It's because of a little detail where, if you stop pushing a pipe or block with a Shova on the other side, he'll need a second to find his footing before he can start pushing it back. So if you do a really small jump on the beat, you'll land before he can undo any of your progress, and you can get back to pushing. 5. Sadly, the Rhythm Jump badge doesn't seem to work during any Wonder effects... Not even the ones which themselves use a jumping-on-the-beat mechanic, such as the KnuckleFest. It also doesn't apply during boss battles. So if you want to keep a beat going through an entire level, you have to skip the Wonder Flower :(
Another character animation fact is that if you do quick wall jumps back and forth your character will twirl instead of using the same repeated animation if you do it slowly.
Fun fact about the controller rumble doing sounds. I noticed that back in 2017, while playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Me and my brother used to sleep in the same bedroom so when I wanted to play some Mario Kart at night and little bro was sleeping I just muted the switch and played it as usual BUT when you collect a coin the controller vibration just make the coin collecting sound. Amazing detail, very specific and almost unperceptive, but it still cool
In rolling ball hall if you trigger the wonder effect and don’t get all the wonder coins and go in the pipe then the flower will say “you don’t have them all yet” and will be forced to move on and not collect all of them
My favorite part is how the controller vibrates to the music the dash lines make! It made my day when I found that it reminded me of when the web sounds would come out of the controller when playing spider-man ps4 😊
One small thing you may have missed when talking about the readied up stance: you can't actually look upwards while in that stance, but you can crouch.
It's especially strange since you can look up while you're moving with the button held down, but as soon as you come to a stop your head snaps back down.
Actully useless fact I came across by mistake: if you equip the Jet Run badge, start a friend race, and run off a cliff as the race ends, you automatically lose all of your coyote time!
My favorite little animation thing is that whenever you jump while crouched as an Elephant, you look like an actual IRL pachyderm. I just like to jump around like that in all sorts of courses to see the effect do its thing.
We just hit 300K! Thank you all so much

18:46 He literally says the badge doesn't work on him, he sees her as if she wasn't wearing the badge at all
7:11 The boost panels’ HD rumble tune is the item cycle sound from Mario Kart!
I think the reason why he can see the player and who it is because the wonder flower somehow allows him to see invisible players.
4:02 Would Smash Bros count? It's not a Mario game but they still have animations for standing on the ledge
Something that stood out to me about this video is that all the musical segments are cut smoothly so that they don't drop the beat. It's the same attention to detail that makes the actual game so charming.
I found that with the elephant power up on the first level by the fountain, if you keep spraying water, the flower will tell you to stop
2:36 I don't really see that as a bite. I still mostly perceive that as it running into you as the damage dealer, and the open-mouthed expression they do is just them being happy that they hurt you.
9:21 Now we only need a version of them saying "WOWSHI, IT'S A DOUBLE YOSHI EXPLOSHI"
Yoshi counting is one of the best parts of this game 12:01
Here's another fact for a potential sequel video: When completing a level in World 3 after completing that level, Master Poplin will show up to say a new thing!
Going back to enemy animations, they also react to when you throw a projectile near them!
12:00 also yoshi’s little “1…2…3!” Is so adorable 😭😭😭
In the desert world before you go the Ninji level or standing directly before the level you can hear/feel the Ninji Beat on the controller. Thats how I found the level in the first place
Same
5:04 noticed this during my gameplay, this also happens if you're crouching
another thing i've noticed about wonder is that it ressembles the fancy pants adventures series soo much, especially Super Fancy Pants Adventure, they have very common stuff like enemies having expressions and reactions, very detailed animations, bg levels, etc.
also i have sooo many fakts for this game
3:35 I guess that “Lonely Goomba” will be gaming between two snow blocks.
LOL Nice one
I used the invisibility badge to listen to a night at boos oprah and i found out that if you try to open the door enemys, they'll nock you away and look who the hell opened them.
3:14 the koopa isn’t reacting to its friend dying it’s reacting to the fireball that’s coming towards it, same way that it does to the bubbles from the bubble flower
The first time I saw a Goomba being stuck in a small crevice and just sitting down annoyed I knew the game was goated, such attention to detail.
*Progressively gold
I think it's in outmaway valley, but there's a flower that hypes you up to ride on an ice block kicked by an outmaway, but if you kill it first, the flower will call you no fun
Funfact: I think the sound off? Badge is actually a reference to a video of some drunk guy playing a crash bandicoot game while imitating every sound with his mouth
18:47 I mean, he does say "I can see you", I would assume that he can, y'know, SEE you.
about that final boss part: Bowser literally says he can see Peach. not like just an outline, her entire body
if you plan on doing more Wonder facts in a future video, a cool one I found is that if you’re doing an online race with friends in a Wiggler Race stage, Wiggler himself will actually join in, with his icon appearing with everyone else’s at the little race start block
Just incase nobody noticed, during a wonder event the coins start doing a little dance.
Another useless but great little detail in Mario Wonder is that each character has their own unique sound when they jump.
8:06 The Rumble option will be greyed out and say “Disabled in system settings” if you have rumble on your controllers turned off via switch menu
counterpoint to saying the rhythm jump badge is garbage, it's really fun trying to do a full combo on a level with it, only downside is you can't pick up the wonderflower or it stops your combo
I've been trying to finish as many levels as possible like this
Did you know that when you use the rhythm badge and get a combo of 4 you can hear the ningi jump party theme in the background? Pretty cool right?
Another fun fact similar to the Skedaddler fact, did you know you can juggle/combo shells (I think any shell that can be held) in the air by hitting it with your trunk in elephant mode. After doing it a few times without letting the shell touch the ground, the shell disappears and you'll be rewarded coins!
"How can he tell it's Peach?" regarding the invisibility badge.
He can SEE her.
It really is amazing how many little details they added to the game
I actually found the rolling ball hall skip on my first playthrough of the level and was super impressed when i got the dialogue. Just such a cool detail they didnt have to put in there but just adds so much to the charm of the game. Genuinely had me smiling because of it
17:26 why is classic sonic crouching in the background?
Ninji's Jump Party is also my favorite stage of the entire game. Even tho the Piranha Plant on Parade really surprised me at 1st and became one of my favorites too, I really like the beat of the desert music style of Ninji's Jump Party. Also the fact that the little Fire Piranha Plants move their leaves as they do a little dance is so cute too 😄
7:20 I knew about this fact because I was stuck on the final label if the game and I kept hearing this on my controller during it.
I think Bowser is so suped up on Woderflower that he just sees you while invisible, like it has no effect on him at all.
13:30 the fact that it's specifically the drums appearing and disappearing gives me Pokémon gen 5 vibes
6:36 THAT IS SO COOL, I THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD THAT MY CONTROLLERS MADE NOISE WHEN I'D NEVER HEARD SOMETHING COMING FROM THEM BEFORE :0
10:10 that actually happened to me the first time I played the level, I was so confused at first lmao, neat detail
It’s so nice to see the HD Rumble finally be used in such a dynamic way in a game that’s actually fun.
2:11 U Did It 👏😄👏😄👏😄👏
Also mad respect for censoring that one badge
Seriously? Even Nintendo refuses to recognise that the yellow toad and blue toad have names! Buckenberry and Aligold!
those were development names
i feel it would be so funny if the koopas instead of biting, just full on punch you in the face
18:47 He literally said that he can see Peach just fine lmao.
17:02 u counted up to an ad
Fun fact about the controller rumble doing sounds.
I noticed that back in 2017, while playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Me and my brother used to sleep in the same bedroom so when I wanted to play some Mario Kart at night and little bro was sleeping I just muted the switch and played it as usual BUT when you collect a coin the controller vibration just make the coin collecting sound.
Amazing detail, very specific and almost unperceptive, but it still cool
I love how the outmaway fact implies they are very happy all the time, they are just REALLY dedicated to walking
10:31 Accidentally found that out with my friend when playing. It was a nice surprise.
12:00 I love the Yoshi’s squeaky voices
