Ok, heres one. When you correct Kroop for the first time when he get's your name wrong and say "it's Mario", he responds as if you complemented his eyebrows. The fun thing is that "eyebrow" is pronounced "mayu" in Japanese, which sounds close to "Mario" meaning its a joke lost in translation.
Another useless fact, in chapter 2's escape sequence, if the timer runs out while you are in a cutscene with Crump, it will interrupt the cutscene and have Crump freak-out as everything blows up before getting your game over.
I remember getting that gameover in the gamecube version (waaaay back), but I think Crump didnt react at all, the screen just went white while the npcs were talking.
Fun fact, in the original TTYD Doopliss wouldn't copy Mario's color properly if he had the W Emblem equipped beforehand, but in the remake they actually changed that so that he would, and I want to say a couple of NPCs actually do make note of it too during that part of Chapter 4.

Heres some useless triva in regards to Hooktail. 1. In the original English translation, they changed her gender to be male for some reason. But when you battle Gloomtail in chapter 8 he refers to Hooktail as his sister. The remake fixes it so everyone refers to Hooktail as female. 2. So you know how Hooktail's weakness was crickets in the orginal and frogs in the remake? Well the orginal English translation was going to have frogs as it originally but they changed it sometime durring transition. Look up footage from Thousand Year Door demo disks and when you get to the part where Koops reads the letter about Hooktail's weakness using an early version of the translation. Then for some reason they changed it to crickets in the final version. Then back to frogs for the remakes, complete with changing the sound effect for that one badge to a frog croak.
They changed it to crickets in the English version because the sound is of a Japanese frog, which doesn't sound anything like the traditional "ribbit" that frogs are known for in English-speaking countries.
Yeah, it always implied that the Koopas thought Hooktail was male simply because she was a big monster and Gloomtail reveals in a humanely way that she does have a gender and is female. Similarly, Bonetail is referred to as male for similar reasons, but is explicity female in the remake, which is likely out of respect of the Vivian decision to give them proper genders instead of defaulting to "it". Unclear if they use genderless pronouns in other languages that have them in the original though.

The Black Shy Guy stagehands are a very neat addition. From their likely inspiration in Kuroko, to them taking incapacitated partners offscreen for Earth Tremor, they’re such a neat addition. They even replace the red Shy Guys that would hold the Clock Out bomb for enemies on the ceiling or bosses that are too large - yes, that is also a thing I spent way too long going down a rabbit hole for when wiki editing. Quoting from the Shy Guy page of the Super Mario Wiki: “A Shy Guy (a Black Shy Guy in the remake, to fit in with the other stagehands) can also appear onstage when the special move Clock Out is used. When an enemy is on the ceiling, it holds the bomb in their place, running off after the attack is completed. This additionally happens with certain large bosses, including Macho Grubba, Atomic Boo, Cortez, Smorg, Magnus von Grapple 2.0, Gloomtail and Bonetail, and the Shadow Queen's true form.”

My guess is the reason they changed the email sound effect is because the email no longer stops you on your tracks and is supposed to just be a little aside. So they sped it up a ton to match its new role.
Yes, they removed it in releases after the Japanese release, because in the original game the Doopliss model didn't show stuff like the L and W emblems. The remake had it updated to take those into account so it didn't break the illusion to have it switch models again.
Here's one you missed: If you fight Doopliss the first time while wearing the W Emblem badge, Doopliss will copy your appearance _including_ the yellow Wario attire, and will keep it for the rest of the chapter, even if you take the badge off later. Some of the Twilight Town residents will even comment on a man with _yellow clothes and purple overalls_ jumping around. Cool, huh? Let's also not forget how if you speak to the Battle Master during this section, he will call you "Nameless Frank" so the tips and hints don't have to be 100% rewritten.

(24:17) Humorously, in reference to the fact that in the original you'd only be able to face The Destructors after loosing to every opponent in the Glitz Pit, from the Koopinator to the Wings of Night, the head Spinia of the team will open the fight with the words: "You got bad luck, getting matched up against us." Additionally The Destructors are also known as "The Flying Bullets." 4. (37:00) This is actually a bit of a running joke throughout the Bowser Interludes. After Chapter 1, Bowser will mention that he found "the Bowser Jewel" after inspecting the third statue in the throne room. As far as I know, these are the only two instances, though. So to call it a running joke might be considered a stretch.
I have Luigi on my title screen and has never entered the Pit of 100 Trials. I think he appears there after you buy all 5 of his books and hears all of his stories.

If you talk to one of the Twilighters in the east zone, specifically after finishing Chapter 4 but before going back to the thousand year door, he'll tell you he dreamt that you went on the moon, and he ask you to come back to tell him who lives there, obviously foreshadowing the plot of chapter 7
Another small detail is that if you are wearing the Wario Emblem before fighting Doopliss, he will continue to wear the Wario clothes for the rest of the chapter. Some of the NPC dialogue even changes to talk about Mario’s yellow shirt and purple overalls. (I wonder if this holds true for the Luigi and Waluigi clothes if you hack them in)

Here’s some things I found involving the Nostalgic Tunes Badge. Your first encounter with Punio in Rogueport Sewers will play the Remixed version of the Punies Music, which is strange because all other instances with the Punies’ Music will play the original. Zess T. will only ever play her new Remixed Music and never the her original music, despite her original music being playable in the Sound Gallery.
I mean chapter 6's diary scene always made me unnerved but boy they went through the roof this time like literally, it's friggin scary this time around for a mario game, if I had a kid playin the game I'd make dead sure the kid never reads this damn diary (also that toad's story is friggin dark in the german version he litterally says he blew his own life out in that chapter..."Vor langer zeit habe ich in diesem abteil mein Leben ausgehaucht" "long time ago I blew my own life out in this wagon" he doesn't go into detail but it sounds like suicide.) Also yoshi timer resets whenever you reboot the game so you can get consistency with your colors Chapter 4 mashes mythology and poetry. Doopliss being called "Rumpel" in most parts of the world or some variation of it for example "Ranperu" is leaned to the german folklore of "Rumpelstilzchen" or in english "Rumpelstiltskin" an imp who loses it's magic powers if called by it's name but has to dance by fire and sing it's name by night for the magic to keep existing. The men transforming into pigs is from greek mythology in germany the shadow sirens also are called the "shadow trio" ever since the original. the german parrot also tells you to "scram" , "go away" instead of pretending to be a bird in the OG Vivian joining you was done with a seperate and unique 2nd partner slot, so if you hacked in other partners you could have 2 overlapping ones, partner badges however werent coded to function with the 2nd partner slot, which probably was an oversight but could also be intended since vivian kinda left and rejoined in the spur of the moment. also the "greeting" wave mario performed in the OG was cut in the OG for the PAL version as it too closely resembled the 1933 greet from germany, this has been carried over to all versions of the remake I suppose also truly useless: During the intermission of chapter 5 peach is completely naked, not even wearing earings, this is literally the only time in nintendo history a human character is fully nude and not covering themself while being on "display" or on screen rather if you couldn't tell yet I grew up with the german version of TTYD but I also played the english one a couple times. also in my 1st playthrough of the remake I did not use a single inn or healing block. Only the beds in glitz pit and obviously the excess express one since that one is mandatory
There are actually many characters that get new dialogue during the game, my favorites are the many Rogueport residents that get new lines after almost every chapter.

Especially since the games aren't bad at all. As a nod to the original game's glitch, it would've been cool if they made Bobbery have a subtle change to his idle animation during Luigi's story to make him look more invested. They could've had his eyes open more, or have his posture shift forward: something that corrects the old glitch, but still sort of honors it by not having him sleep like the rest or just look like someone forgot to flag a state change. At any rate, good hustle here, pal. Putting this video together must've been quite the undertaking! 🎉
Here's a neat little oversight in the sound player that definitely doesn't keep me up at night: Some of the songs change their name when Nostalgic Tunes is equipped (mainly for if a song had new variants added and it's first variant was named in a way denoting it as a first variant, such as Rogueport - Sublevel One or Hooktail Castle - Part One) However, there are some songs that obviously should've had their names changed, but didn't. The most egregious of these is DEFINITELY Battle - Chapter 1 not changing despite being the name of the battle theme used throughout the entire game.
26:56 There are actually several well hidden blocks that don't serve much purpose in this chapter, including one in the back of the shed where you find the black key. Fun fact about the one you showed: Wonky is supposed to be this game's equivalent to Chet Rippo from the first game, offering something unknown for a set price that will be good or bad, but in this case offering information. Well, one of the things he can say will clue you into that exact block, so I guess that's supposed to be a "dud" hint, like Chet Rippo giving you a dried shroom; going all the way out there for one measly coin. So that block actually does have a purpose, kind of.
A big one you missed in Chapter 4: if you’re wearing the W emblem when you initially fight Doopliss, then after the battle when he steals your body, he will still be dressed as Wario for the rest of the chapter, even if you unequip the W emblem after. This is not the case in the original, where after the battle “Mario” would just inexplicably turn red. An npc, who normally comments on Mario’s clothes, even changes her dialogues to specifically reference his yellow cap and purple overalls. This also applies to Mario after he becomes the shadow queens servant in the finale. He uses Doopliss’s imposter Mario model for that, so in the original he would suddenly turn red, regardless of what emblems you have equipped. Now he’ll properly match your color. Meaning that scene is the only way to see a Luigified and Waluigified Doopliss model.

They changed it to crickets in the English version because the sound is of a Japanese frog, which doesn't sound anything like the traditional "ribbit" that frogs are known for in English-speaking countries.
Yeah, it always implied that the Koopas thought Hooktail was male simply because she was a big monster and Gloomtail reveals in a humanely way that she does have a gender and is female. Similarly, Bonetail is referred to as male for similar reasons, but is explicity female in the remake, which is likely out of respect of the Vivian decision to give them proper genders instead of defaulting to "it". Unclear if they use genderless pronouns in other languages that have them in the original though.

The Black Shy Guy stagehands are a very neat addition. From their likely inspiration in Kuroko, to them taking incapacitated partners offscreen for Earth Tremor, they’re such a neat addition. They even replace the red Shy Guys that would hold the Clock Out bomb for enemies on the ceiling or bosses that are too large - yes, that is also a thing I spent way too long going down a rabbit hole for when wiki editing.
Quoting from the Shy Guy page of the Super Mario Wiki: “A Shy Guy (a Black Shy Guy in the remake, to fit in with the other stagehands) can also appear onstage when the special move Clock Out is used. When an enemy is on the ceiling, it holds the bomb in their place, running off after the attack is completed. This additionally happens with certain large bosses, including Macho Grubba, Atomic Boo, Cortez, Smorg, Magnus von Grapple 2.0, Gloomtail and Bonetail, and the Shadow Queen's true form.”

Yes, they removed it in releases after the Japanese release, because in the original game the Doopliss model didn't show stuff like the L and W emblems. The remake had it updated to take those into account so it didn't break the illusion to have it switch models again.

Here's one you missed: If you fight Doopliss the first time while wearing the W Emblem badge, Doopliss will copy your appearance _including_ the yellow Wario attire, and will keep it for the rest of the chapter, even if you take the badge off later. Some of the Twilight Town residents will even comment on a man with _yellow clothes and purple overalls_ jumping around. Cool, huh?
Let's also not forget how if you speak to the Battle Master during this section, he will call you "Nameless Frank" so the tips and hints don't have to be 100% rewritten.

I think that for getting Luigi on the title screen, you need to buy all the Super Luigi books, or you just listen to all his stories, I once I beat the game I listened to Luigi’s final 2 stories and bought all the books, and I had barely touched the pit of 100 trials, only getting to floor 30 cause of that one trouble where you save the kids dad.

1. (2:02) If you finish Peach's first interlude, save, and then quit out before saving after Bowser's interlude, only peach will show on the title screen, without Bowser and Kammy behind her. So that's another unique title screen that wasn't shown in the video.
2. (6:30) The Remake's version of the "generic NPC" Mailbox SP jingle is just the held note of the original jingle. Therefore, it's still the "Egg is Rescued" theme. (which is actually also from Super Mario World, but ok.) Most of it is simply cut out, so as to recontextualize the tune as more of a text tone.
3. (24:17) Humorously, in reference to the fact that in the original you'd only be able to face The Destructors after loosing to every opponent in the Glitz Pit, from the Koopinator to the Wings of Night, the head Spinia of the team will open the fight with the words: "You got bad luck, getting matched up against us." Additionally The Destructors are also known as "The Flying Bullets."
4. (37:00) This is actually a bit of a running joke throughout the Bowser Interludes. After Chapter 1, Bowser will mention that he found "the Bowser Jewel" after inspecting the third statue in the throne room. As far as I know, these are the only two instances, though. So to call it a running joke might be considered a stretch.

The TTYD remake version of the generic email jingle is a shortened version of the original sound effect, so it's still a reference to the Egg Rescue theme in Super Mario World. Also, you labelled the "Egg is Rescued" theme as a song from Super Mario Bros. 3 when you play it
If you talk to one of the Twilighters in the east zone, specifically after finishing Chapter 4 but before going back to the thousand year door, he'll tell you he dreamt that you went on the moon, and he ask you to come back to tell him who lives there, obviously foreshadowing the plot of chapter 7
Another small detail is that if you are wearing the Wario Emblem before fighting Doopliss, he will continue to wear the Wario clothes for the rest of the chapter. Some of the NPC dialogue even changes to talk about Mario’s yellow shirt and purple overalls. (I wonder if this holds true for the Luigi and Waluigi clothes if you hack them in)

Your first encounter with Punio in Rogueport Sewers will play the Remixed version of the Punies Music, which is strange because all other instances with the Punies’ Music will play the original.

Doopliss being called "Rumpel" in most parts of the world or some variation of it for example "Ranperu" is leaned to the german folklore of "Rumpelstilzchen" or in english "Rumpelstiltskin" an imp who loses it's magic powers if called by it's name but has to dance by fire and sing it's name by night for the magic to keep existing.
The men transforming into pigs is from greek mythology
in germany the shadow sirens also are called the "shadow trio" ever since the original.
the german parrot also tells you to "scram" , "go away" instead of pretending to be a bird
in the OG Vivian joining you was done with a seperate and unique 2nd partner slot, so if you hacked in other partners you could have 2 overlapping ones, partner badges however werent coded to function with the 2nd partner slot, which probably was an oversight but could also be intended since vivian kinda left and rejoined in the spur of the moment.
also the "greeting" wave mario performed in the OG was cut in the OG for the PAL version as it too closely resembled the 1933 greet from germany, this has been carried over to all versions of the remake I suppose
also truly useless: During the intermission of chapter 5 peach is completely naked, not even wearing earings, this is literally the only time in nintendo history a human character is fully nude and not covering themself while being on "display" or on screen rather
if you couldn't tell yet I grew up with the german version of TTYD but I also played the english one a couple times.
also in my 1st playthrough of the remake I did not use a single inn or healing block. Only the beds in glitz pit and obviously the excess express one since that one is mandatory
There are actually many characters that get new dialogue during the game, my favorites are the many Rogueport residents that get new lines after almost every chapter.

CS and specially SS both HATE their playerbase, those are honest to God hateful games, these make the player's experience actively sour on purpose, like "haha you're having a bad time now." @@miserirken Honestly, I think that's more the player base who are overly hating on the games to the point that they made the Paper Mario fanbase one of the most toxic ones on the internet. All that "anti-TTYD" sentiment for the past 10 years came from everyone harassing anyone who liked Sticker star and Color Splash with "If it's not TTYD it's a terrible game". Especially since the games aren't bad at all. Now that TTYD remake has come out, people have mellowed down a little, but there's still a lot of people taking jabs at Sticker star being a sour reminder of the fact that we Paper Mario fans can't enjoy the series without THAT part of the fanbase constantly reminding us only the first two games are worth existing and the rest require castration.

A small fact you missed in Chapter 4 with Vivian is that if yojre wearing the Wario Badge, when she talks about Mario, she'll mention the yellow shirt and purple overalls.
One more theme-tune leitmotif that I somehow didn't realize until just RECENTLY- The standard "Battle Clear/Win" victory jingle, is actually the later half section of the level clear theme in Super Mario World on SNES.
Something small: at 32:29 the Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional got their place swapped in the video, but PJ will probably never fix it because he won't see this comment.
You can also time the bomb sequence so that when Lord Crump presses the remote switch it goes off, nothing special happens but still made me laugh.
As a nod to the original game's glitch, it would've been cool if they made Bobbery have a subtle change to his idle animation during Luigi's story to make him look more invested. They could've had his eyes open more, or have his posture shift forward: something that corrects the old glitch, but still sort of honors it by not having him sleep like the rest or just look like someone forgot to flag a state change. At any rate, good hustle here, pal. Putting this video together must've been quite the undertaking! 🎉

Here's a neat little oversight in the sound player that definitely doesn't keep me up at night:
Some of the songs change their name when Nostalgic Tunes is equipped (mainly for if a song had new variants added and it's first variant was named in a way denoting it as a first variant, such as Rogueport - Sublevel One or Hooktail Castle - Part One)
However, there are some songs that obviously should've had their names changed, but didn't. The most egregious of these is DEFINITELY Battle - Chapter 1 not changing despite being the name of the battle theme used throughout the entire game.

Well, one of the things he can say will clue you into that exact block, so I guess that's supposed to be a "dud" hint, like Chet Rippo giving you a dried shroom; going all the way out there for one measly coin. So that block actually does have a purpose, kind of.

A big one you missed in Chapter 4: if you’re wearing the W emblem when you initially fight Doopliss, then after the battle when he steals your body, he will still be dressed as Wario for the rest of the chapter, even if you unequip the W emblem after. This is not the case in the original, where after the battle “Mario” would just inexplicably turn red. An npc, who normally comments on Mario’s clothes, even changes her dialogues to specifically reference his yellow cap and purple overalls.
This also applies to Mario after he becomes the shadow queens servant in the finale. He uses Doopliss’s imposter Mario model for that, so in the original he would suddenly turn red, regardless of what emblems you have equipped. Now he’ll properly match your color. Meaning that scene is the only way to see a Luigified and Waluigified Doopliss model.
