The thing about Etho is that he was never great at one on one PVP except the bow. He shined in PvP maps by stealth, adaptation, and strategy. He was a joy to watch back then. I wish he still did it but it may take another PvP update.
When you hit something, there’s a tick delay before the thing actually gets damaged from that hit. Etho hits Gem first. In the delay for the death screen to show up and damage to be given, Gem hits Etho next. Gem dies first. Etho dies after.
For the cow farm, adding a second layer of blocks around would get rid of the issue. From what i can tell, they grow up, their hitboxes are inside the block, and then get shot out ouf the wall, if you add another layer of blocks, that issue seems to be resolved
it might also have something to do with him using glass blocks. With glass not counting as a "full" block it does a lot of weird things with entities...
I think fences or horizontal chains/endrods or another block with a collision box smaller than a full block allowing the cows to grow up and be partially in the lava and partially in air blocks (player/mob heads, fence gates, glass panes piston arms etc.), with hoppers below the outer ring of partial blocks for collection. If you want uncooked steak you could do the same design with full solid blocks instead of lava cauldrons and kill them with suffocation, then it would be better to use flowing water to contain them as it will also push drops to the hoppers. You could also use the mobs collision with the full block above the cows to push only adult cows into a nether portal and use a looting sword for more drops.
15:00 you need 2 thick walls. baby cow hitbox is against first wall then when it grows the, the hitbox increases to be inside the solid block. since it is now inside that block it is not colliding with it so it can walk out.

Use honey blocks with the baby cows so they can't jump? I didn't test it but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Only thing would be needing hopper minecarts for collection I guess
Working version of the Baby cow farm. Footprint 5x5, hoppers 3x3, carpet on the hoppers, Inward facing stairs bottomlayer instead of slabs, with walls above them on the layer of the cauldrons, the air gap stops the grown cows from popping over.
youre so good at making technical minecraft stuff entertaining, i legitimately look forward to it , i clicked so fast to see the conclusion of the bartering farm !
For the cow farm, I've found that sometimes mobs and items can be forcepushed through glass, you should try using some solid nontransperant blocks like stone. This happens al the time on bedrock, I don't know if this is a bedrock thing only, but it seems like it's the same thing that's happening to your farm.
The cow is following the wave particle duality mechanism to go through the walls a cow wave form. You have successfully demonstrated quantum tunneling in Minecraft 🎉
oh the lava cauldron is indeed a interesting idea. I once tried to make a cow firm is similar idea, but baby cows jumping up killed the idea, lava cauldron wasn't in the game at that moment :( You can also zero tick to move lava cauldron, maybe a redstone assisted mass cow slaughter farm can be designed.
Thank you *_so much_* for showing your Friglight farm again. I made one in my world, but 5/6 of my frogs suddenly died. Because I had read that frogs can jump 9 blocks high, I got it into my head that the ceiling needed to be that high. But they apparently still take some fall damage from that, so I was going to farm a bunch of slime blocks. Then you walked by your farm and I felt like such a derp. I just need to lower my ceiling to 3 blocks high. 😅
Another baby cow cooker method is to put lava directly onto trapdoors, the babys dont swim up and fit under easily. I also use a design that puts them in a 2x1 area over hoppers and besides them are fence posts with lava on top, they cant jump over it so they dont try
The lava cauldron method looks like an improvement for automatic cooked chicken farms. It should help reduce the amount of items burnt by the lava when the lava block is replaced by the cauldron. It works as long as the chickens are motivated to hop around.
for the cow farm what you could do is with carpets, since stacking 2 carpets on top of eachother disables pathfinding, adn prevents baby cows from walking and jumping, inbetween those carpets add minecart hoppers and you have a collection system, didn't try this myself, but this could work in theory
X! There are ways to sort the unstackables. You'll just have to do a little bit of brain power for certain items being able to only go into certain container blocks and be equipped to a breakable and replaceable entity. ;)
I’ve tinkered with some basic cow farm ideas, kind of like a row of them in water with a one block hole behind them so the baby cows get pretty pushed back a block under lava, so like say seven blocks long three wide, there needs to be an extra block so the water if flowing but then just a sign to block the lava and the water so they are less likely to bob into the lava early, not really any smarter/compact than what you did though
For the cow farm, you don't need to have cauldrons in all directions. It can be reduced to the cow slot (with no more than 48 cows), and a single direction for the baby cows to pop out to with the cauldron on top of. This will significantly reduce the bulk.
I forget the complete method for it, but you can increase the speed at which they barter, its something with putting a moving gold block near them. I have done it in an older world of mine.
21:15 Instead of a 1x1 cow breeding with 3x3 growing/cooking manual farm, you could do a 2x2 where one of the diagonals is for breeding adult cows and the other one is for the growing/cooking. It would be two times more compact and have two times more drops.
*_@xisumavoid_* (please relay this to GeminiTay or so) 18:10 There should be a PVP dueling arena on the server. Either one with a completely flat floor (like a boxing ring) several chunks large (at least 3x3 chunks, preferably bigger for unobstructed movement) (like Roman Colosseum?). And another area with obstacles & different "environmental advantages" & such to make the combat more interesting / challenging :D Everyone can have their own chest there, and the heads from all defeated opponents can be stored inside (for bragging rights) & to keep track of scores ;P

For the cow farm try making it a half circle instead of a full circle. This would make it trivial to have a hopper minecart collect the items. This isn't similar to your idea but I like making cow farms like the following: dig out a 2 block wide trench. The length doesn't matter. Make it 2 blocks deep (-1 and -2) so the cows can't jump out. Replace the floor layer (-3) with trapdoors placed against one another so that when they are flipped down all trapdoors are in the middle of the trench. Adult cows have a full hit box and won't fall through. Baby cows don't and will. Dig down another 2 blocks (-4 and -5) below the trapdoors and setup a water channel to shuttle the baby cows wherever you desire. Provided there are enough adult cows in the top nobody will be able to see the trench below making this a hidden farm. It makes for a good aesthetic yet functional build.
Hi Xisuma, I’m pretty sure that the Piglins run away from the Zombified Piglins so that’s why the Piglins weren’t pathfinding towards the gold ingots. I can’t remember if this happens in Java as well or if it’s just Bedrock 😅
i love that cow farm idea, i might just make that my cow farm when i get around to making it, i just wish there was a more automatic way to breeding them.

I think the problem is the glass surrounding the cows, this used to happen to me a lot with chicken farms, it seems silly but I always ended up using iron blocks lol

Hi! I think that it’s possible to make pistons push and pull gold blocks next to a piglins, very fast, causing them to immediately finish bartering with your gold ingot, although it does make them aggressive. I am a bedrock player though, and maybe piglins behave differently in Java.
Ya' know, there's really no reason to separate the piglins into individual chambers for bartering. You can cram a bunch into one block, so if you want to expand that farm you don't have to actually build anything. Just drop more piglins in each chamber and speed up the clock to match. Cheers!

If you're aim is to get leather, have you considered making a hoglin farm on the roof of the nether? Although that might be less interesting than designing your own cow farm
Honestly, for the pvp part, Gem probably had an upper hand a little bit because she's the youngest out of that group that was fighting, so Gem is likely to have the fastest reaction time because that's something that deteriorates with age. Of course, there's other factors like how they were moving but reaction time definitely plays a big part in pvp.
