Apologies if this has already been brought up, but the thing I saw people complaining about the most was that they believed the timelines didn't add up due to when Lucy was looking at the history class blackboard showing the timeline of what happened over the years and it shows "The Fall Of Shady Sands" and the year it took place. People thought that meant it was when the city got nuked but that's not the case. It was when the city fell to chaos and the actual bombing took place many years later. People thought the date of the city falling contradicted New Vegas storylines. Todd Howard actually explained it in a recent interview. So basically, folks complained about something they didn't need to be complaining about ;)
@@ElmStReactions The bomb picture is after the 'Fall of Shady Sands' date. Part of the confusion is that they didn't put a date under the bomb image (probably because the writers weren't 100% decided on an exact date yet, so they just didn't date it in order to not have to retcon it later), so people thought that the fall and the bomb happened at the same time.
@@FaintlyAlarming exactly. The bomb happened some date later but it just wasn't put on the board. It leaves things open to tie together any other events the writers end up creating that are related to this particular moment in the timeline.
@@WaltBTBprobably also has to do with Maximus being a survivor of the destruction of SS. Putting an exact date means we could roughly figure out Max’s age- idk that that’s an issue, but maybe they want to reveal his age at some point and not have everybody already know it. There’s also a fringe (IMO) theory that Max is a synth, so if that’s the case that could also require some deeper calculations (in regards to when a Synth could have reasonably been placed in Shady Sands).
"I never should've trusted a doctor that smelled like that" Considering that Thaddeus is carrying a decaying head, I really wonder what the "doctor" smelled like?
I don't think I've ever seen someone burst into genuine, hysterical laughter as a terrified young man is being eviscerated by a rotor blade before. That's certainly....something.
Most of the vault ideas mentioned in the meeting are vaults that have actually appeared or are mentioned in the games. - Overcrowd vault where people have to compete to survive: Unknown Vault, Possibly Vault 27 mentioned in the Fallout Bible. - Vault governed by a robot: Unknown Vault - Vault developing Super Mutant Soldiers using illegal immigrants: Vault 87 from Fallout 3 - Vault with Psychotropic drugs pumped into the air filtration system: Vault 106 from Fallout 3 - Vault with parents and children separated and only the smartest children reach adulthood: Vault 75 from Fallout 4
Fun Fact: The Vault ideas tossed around by those corporate reps at the pre-war meeting were all Vaults that have been encountered, directly or (mostly) indirectly, in the existing Fallout games.
If you remember back in Episode 2 the Snake Oil Salesman sees Lucy with the scientist and says he has a cure to regrow the guys foot, turns out he was telling the truth
Eye patch lady is a breeder. Her husband died, she is all about keeping her genes going for the next generation of management. As for New Vegas, we last saw it when the NCR and the Legion fought over hoover dam. The way FONV ended is up to the player.. but (and I could be wrong) lore wise that battle ended in a draw, then Shady Sands got nuked and the NCR withdrew.. so I'm interested to see if the courier upgraded Mr. House's (he was in the show) bots or if the Legion took over after
I love how the finale nailed the perfect levels of revealing most the storyarchs they had going, and started just enough new ones to make me want more. My only question now is, who helped Betty clean up Vault 32? There's no way it was just her and a few loyalists in Vault 33. Personally I think it was The Enclave, and that they either have surveillance or work with the overseers. This explains how Wilzig from the beginning knew about Lucy and her Vault's details, and explains how he ran into her so quickly, The Enclave was close by.
Considering that the meeting we saw Barb attending effectively WAS the Enclave (or if they weren't, then the shadowy guy watching the meeting was), yes.
“A new brotherhood with me as its head, and the likes of you as its sword” Can’t help but notice that he said “the likes of you” and not just “you.” Seems to me he wants people like Marius but not Maximus himself and might already be planning to kill Maximus when the opportunity arises
The issue with New Vegas was something about shady sands being nuked, but the blackboard showing "the fall of shady sands" at 2277 and that conflicting with something said/shown in new vegas. But it was explained later (even if just to fix a fuck up or whatever) that the blackboard shows the nuke *after* the fall of shady sands (without a specific date), which would mean it doesn't break lore. So Tldr: a bunch of people were crying over nothing.
Even in NV it's stated that Shady Sands & the NCR are stretched to the breaking point and not able to operate successfully. Will be interesting to see what is canonized as the ending.
The people in the Vault 31 cryochambers are just Buds Buds, so Coopers family wouldn’t be there. There were several “good” control vaults that didn’t have experiments, mainly for the VT employees who had high enough positions. We also know from the opening that the bombs go off some time after the flashback in the last episode- Cooper is no longer acting and instead doing birthday parties, and he and Barb are at least separated if not fully divorced. Chances are she made it to a vault in time. However we don’t know what happened to Jannie. Cooper might have been able to get her to a vault, even the one his (ex) wife was in, but was unable to get in himself. He could have also been intercepted and had Jannie taken from him and brought to a vault. We just know she was outside when the first bombs fell in CA.
My theory is that the experiments in 32 and 33 are various crisis, and the overseer has to manage them. So the blight in 32 for instance. I think someone other than the overseer found out it was manufactured and when people found out that they were starving and lost loved ones and friends for an experiment they fought back. We see in 33 the water chip is damaged. Now yes water chips can break on their own it’s the plot for Fallout 1, but still nothing the raiders did would have caused damage to the water chip. It also became damaged right after the tri-annual exchange which also makes the timing a little sus. So I think that was the next crisis for the overseer (Hank but now Betty). But yeah based on what we saw in 32 and the apparent damage to the water chip from nowhere in 33 I think each vault has to deal with a manufactured crisis to help shape the perfect management.
I think the water chip was definitely a manufactured crisis meant to install Betty as the overseer. I don't think there was a "real" experiment in 32, 33 but more as a management training field.
I'm so excited for season 2 it's gonna be worth the wait with that new Vegas tease at the end. And I'd love a Thadeus spin off show of him turning to a ghoul if they don't explore that more in season 2
31 is Buds’ Buds (“management”), 33 and 32 were their “breeding stock” (as far as I understood.) The exact 33 experiment reveal is probably for next season.

Hey guys, great reaction to the last 2 episodes of Seasons 1.😊 Cooper's wife would not be in Vault 31. Vault 31 inhabitants are Bud's Buds which are Junior Executives/Management Trainees. Cooper's wife, Barbara was a Senior Executive because her & Bud were the only Vault-Tec employees in that meeting of the Corporate Heads. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the right hand woman of the head honcho watching from the shadows of the observation deck. The Ghoul is my favorite character, but Lucy comes a close 2nd.😊
Moldaver needed Luccy's mom's pip boy, to raid the vault, in ep1 Placing her on a table, full of food While Hank starving, in his cage Was probably in order to torture him I think it makes sense, that even someone, who is strong minded as Hank, would crumble, when he is confronted with Lucy He cared obviously a lot more for her, then the mam (Ep1 Hank: you are my world) So a couple of days, with low food, a view over the city he destroyed and Lucy's mother With nothing else to do, then reflecting + Lucy's 💔 Should do the trick
Just my thought (other than being more than friends), Moldaver could’ve kept Rose alive for her Pip-Boy functionality. Ep. 4 when Norm and Chet searched 32, he stated that the last bio signal was 2 years prior and moms pip-boy opened the vault
People were mad because New Vegas happened in 2281. The chalkboard said the fall of Shady Sands was in 2277. However the bomb destroyed Shady Sands years after the fall, after the events of New Vegas according to Todd Howard
Some people can't comprehend that a picture without a date is exactly that: a picture without a date. Max's age has already been plausibly calculated to be in the early 20s, which puts the destruction of Shady Sands a few years after 2281. The "fall" of Shady Sands does not automatically mean its destruction via nuke: it could simply mean the collapse of its social order: most likely from plague (like the one Vault 33 experienced). Some people are, simply put, incapable of doing basic math and logic.
I think some people complained about New Vegas because they don't trust Bethesda with the lore (New Vegas was made by Obsidian, who also had devs from former black isle studio who created Fallout) - well we will see how they handle it. Also, it's difficult to create a follow up of a story that had multiple possible endings.
In the 1970s and 80s in Cincinnati, we had a television presenter called The Cool Ghoul!! He would present creature features. So I was trained since early childhood to like ghouls. I for sure liked this cool ghoul!! Walter Goggins is a great pick for this character
Yknow I heavily believe Knight Titus was not Knight Titus -- at best he was a squire that ALSO pretended to be a Knight (and since he's likely from the East Coast Brotherhood who out here was gonna be able to check?) But part of my belief was how LITTLE he knew how to use his armor. But then not a single one of the knights in episode 8 remembers they have a headlamp, so maybe the whole batch is trash.
You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing.
As long as Caesar's Legion didn't win, I'll deal with whatever ending in New Vegas. I'll deal with whatever ending they make canon. The only Fallout 4 ending I've never done is the Brotherhood winning, so this show already broke my lore by having the Prydwen show up in California. And still, I'm not mad; that was MY ending, and I know lots of people sided with the BoS and they're probably psyched to see BoS on the west coast, and I'm happy for them. I am looking forward to S2. Thanks for the reactions!
Out of the entire Brotherhood of Steel i like Lyon's Pride the best because they eventually stopped being a**holes and turned good and did any and every thing they could to help the Capital Wasteland oh yeah and i think that the reason why Moldaver didn't kill Rose Lucy and Norm's mom is because of where they were so close with eachother she couldn't bring herself to do it
Now that y'all gave y'alls honest reactions on that, if you want to see an honest criticism of Fallout's whole series, and it is VERY long, I would recommend checking out Mauler's video "Fallout: A World on Fire", where he points out flaws in different scenes, characters, plothole, and nitpicks. Overall, to him, the actors are what carries this show, but as a story, it's poorly done with references to make people point and clap. An example was the show having Fallout New Vegas. Remember, the game had it that House wasn't sure WHEN the nukes were going to happen, but was able to gamble the Vault-Dwellers out of their vault and able create a defense force for his New Vegas strip, not including the chip would help upgrade his military powers to control all of Nevada and possibly more. As for the show's House...he figures blowing everything up will make "a lot of earning potential with the end of the world"...The only person that profited the most here was the ChickenMan, but seriously, if he was aware that they would set off the nukes and be a part of it, he would've ran more than just New Vegas.
The fallout TV show takes place after fallout 4 whitch is 7 years after new vages plus the creator of fallout Confirm that this takes place after new Vegas.
I was totally excited at the end to see that they're gonna go to new vegas cause new vegas was my favorite out of all the fallout games also. But during the scene in the meeting room you can see Mr. House. I didn't catch the first time but he did look familiar and then when they showed new Vegas I recognized that was Mr. House
New Vegas baby! I also wonder what faction will be in power for that area. I guess the writers can do what they want as long as it goes with canon kinda. After all, in the first episode we get the Prydwen so that would mean the Brotherhood conquered Boston in FO4.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the woman who was in charge at the observatory and kidnapped Lucy's dad also the woman from the communist party meeting seen earlier that the Ghoul visits, and who he gets the spying device for the Pip-Boy from?
You guys should go super old school and watch your way through one of the greatest shows of the 90's - The Commish. All episodes free on UA-cam now. Legally even! 🎉 And it has the amazing Michael Chiklis at his most cuddly! In other words, it's nothing like The Shield! 😳 Still great though! 👍
Very good game adaptations! I love playing F4;F76 good stories! But i hate the Vault-Tech human research! New Vegas in the end right? I don't play F1-3;NV Win10 not working this game. In game 2077 but real world when? - War never changes! In other words, it is not the people who are important, but the raw material for the politicians!
A pretty girl looks at you wide eyed and you give up one of the most powerful tools you have to survive the wasteland. Morally right or not, for me, leaving the armor was one of the dumbest decisions they could have made.
The payoff was good, but I didn't get an answer to one of my burning questions! How did Moldaver suvive for 219 years? Was she in a Vault-Tec vault and escaped or (my guess) was she in an Enclave vault and that is how she got the connection to Wilzig? But the Enclave and the Vault are obviously connected. And I don't think Barb and Cooper's daughter are in 31 at all. Vault 31 was for the junior executives, Bud's Buds, like Hank and Betty. But Barb was a senior executive, so I'm guessing New Vegas is the spot. We'll see next season!
She said every company she worked for got bought up by Vault Tec. We can assume she invented or had a hand in everything vault-tec have like cryo pods.
Barb will be in Vault 0 with Daddy. Amazon has some short cartoon vids on Fallout that hint at Vault 0, and it was in other lore literature. Like you mentioned, she was getting in a vault that oversees all other vaults; 31-33 was just an experiment with a robo brain in charge. Moldaver either used the Cryo Pods in the Lucky 38 casino top floor as seen in the credits outro of episode 8 (may have been another hotel name, but you can see a billboard about cryo), or she could be a Synth
Ah, so your reactions are fake maybe. You acted shocked to see New Vegas at the end, then in your outro talk, you mentioned you seen people complaining about New Vegas being at the end. So you knew already NV was going to be shown. So why the shocked look when you see it? Hmm.
The moment Lucy's mother took two little kids out of the safety of the vault. "One of the good ones" too. Into a radioactive wasteland filled with mutants and cannibals, she lost all rights as a mother. What she did was beyond dangerously insane. No wonder Hank was pissed off.
You're not entirely wrong, but she didn't just take them into the Wasteland, she took them to Shady Sands. It had a massive population, a government, order. You don't reach those milestones without a stable society and protection. and that "good one" vault already experienced an engineered famine so someone from 31 could get elected, and then was stormed by raiders. Not that "good" in my opinion. Plus, you're never going to recolonize the surface without taking a risk at some point to start a new civilization.
@@Cifer77 She didnt know that. Complete unknown. And theres quite the distance between the vault and Shady Sands. Could have been deadly radiation outside, a single radroach or raider would have done it. Theres no solid argument to justify her risking the kids. She should have gone alone, if she wanted to explore.
@@ImRonDurden She discovered that society had rebuilt on the surface, but that it was covered up by vault management, which caused her to rebel against vault management and possibly learn of their plans to exterminate the surface dwellers. At least that’s how I explained her break with her husband and other vault management, sufficient to leave and for him to nuke Shady Sands. But they did leave that largely unexplained, to provide more family mysteries for Lucy and her brother to explore next season.

I think it makes sense, that even someone, who is strong minded as Hank, would crumble, when he is confronted with Lucy
He cared obviously a lot more for her, then the mam
(Ep1 Hank: you are my world)
So a couple of days, with low food, a view over the city he destroyed and Lucy's mother
With nothing else to do, then reflecting
+ Lucy's 💔
Should do the trick
You guys should start watching The Bear especially since the new season is starting next week. Honestly one of the best shows I've ever watched.
The reveal of New Vegas had me so hyped when I watched this.
Do you guys think you can still show previews of the reaction at the beginning of your videos?
31 was jr executives, not sr executives. I’m betting she in a new Vegas vault, probably 21. The one controlled by House.
I think some people complained about New Vegas because they don't trust Bethesda with the lore (New Vegas was made by Obsidian, who also had devs from former black isle studio who created Fallout) - well we will see how they handle it. Also, it's difficult to create a follow up of a story that had multiple possible endings.
Great writing, acting visuals in show all in all i give it a 9.5 out of 10.
U guys should check out the Dictator if you haven't seen it yet
I hope you're enjoying this series. I wish I could watch your reactions, but that would spoil it if I ever got the chance to see it in the future.
In the 1970s and 80s in Cincinnati, we had a television presenter called The Cool Ghoul!! He would present creature features. So I was trained since early childhood to like ghouls. I for sure liked this cool ghoul!! Walter Goggins is a great pick for this character
Thank u twins! I miss my brother. Greate reaction. Love from Russia!
no she is in the vault that overseas all other vaults
Yknow I heavily believe Knight Titus was not Knight Titus -- at best he was a squire that ALSO pretended to be a Knight (and since he's likely from the East Coast Brotherhood who out here was gonna be able to check?) But part of my belief was how LITTLE he knew how to use his armor. But then not a single one of the knights in episode 8 remembers they have a headlamp, so maybe the whole batch is trash.
Good episode love the video Octokrool stay motivated dream big 1 mill on the way
Why do I get the feeling the doctor gave him FEV to heal his foot
Hank’s going to visit Mr. house.
Great series!!! Fallout New Vegas is my favorite Fallout game, but Fallout 4 has Far Harbor!
As for the show's House...he figures blowing everything up will make "a lot of earning potential with the end of the world"...The only person that profited the most here was the ChickenMan, but seriously, if he was aware that they would set off the nukes and be a part of it, he would've ran more than just New Vegas.
lucy and the ghoul are happening next season mark my words
The fallout TV show takes place after fallout 4 whitch is 7 years after new vages plus the creator of fallout Confirm that this takes place after new Vegas.
Fallout tech is retro...but durable...that power grid held up for over 200 years.
House
Safe money says we'll get a Todd cameo in season 2
New Vegas baby! I also wonder what faction will be in power for that area. I guess the writers can do what they want as long as it goes with canon kinda. After all, in the first episode we get the Prydwen so that would mean the Brotherhood conquered Boston in FO4.
Can you guys do more Australian movies & tv shows like chopper , Mr inbetween , dons party , smiley & mad max
It's funny, I haven't seen that show since the 90s, but any time I've seen Michael Chicklis in anything, I always think "Oh, hey. It's 'The Commish'.
I think Moldaver kept Rose alive as a ghoul, so she could see the lights turn on. She didn't hit the button at first, because it wasn't dark yet.
Curious to see what they do for season 2 now that Vegas is gonna be a part of the show.
Goosey and the Goul
You guys have to watch the movie “the Devil’s Double” trust me it’s a badass movie.
That's vagus baby
Can you watch the TED show?
Try Fallout 1 and 2 someday, their story is the best.
That is bolt not a arrow
Does Maximus have the 'idiot savant' perk?
I 100% believe he does
Yes!! So happy!
My understanding is that New Vegas had rental cryo-tubes, so she could have rented one, maybe not at that location, but she was a scientist.
@@mattgarrett2583 That's a possibility. Maybe she had her own secret pod?
@@rromano158 True.
I think they complained because it was after new Vegas happened. So it’s basically in ruins
Can u do a movie trilogy of Back to the Future I love those movies and I thought that would be a great idea for you guys?
TLDR: California sucks (yes, that includes the NCR)
"From where you're kneeling must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. Truth is... the game was rigged from the start".
I got the feeling Lucy's mom and Muldaver were a couple, and Muldaver kept her around because it was too hard to let her go.
It is kinda dumb that they cared for Lucy's mom but left her like a feral ghoul for nothing. Also did you guys cut the scene at the radio station?
Maximus is going to fail his way all the way to the top.
Can I have the drugs they take at the start of every reaction? i need some of this energy in my life :3
Ah, so your reactions are fake maybe. You acted shocked to see New Vegas at the end, then in your outro talk, you mentioned you seen people complaining about New Vegas being at the end. So you knew already NV was going to be shown. So why the shocked look when you see it? Hmm.
Fallout franchise has always been kinda commie and im here for it. Can't wait for the next season
@@Roikat No. All she knew was that water was being filtered away to an unknown source. She suspected life had returned.
She left the vault with zero evidence of anything. Thats what we were told in ep 8.
@@ImRonDurden Yes, I agree that is all they know at the end of the season. The rest is clearly my theory, but I think it’s a better theory than mom was just a bad mother.
