It's always great to hear good stories about the Warrior, it gets annoying hearing from those like Hulk carry on negatively about him. Sure the Warrior had some issues (mainly with Vince) and said some shitty thing. He wasn't perfect, but he did seem to try to make up for his mistakes and was in a better place before he sadly past. Still, he wasn't even close to the worst anything. There were and still are stars in the business that are way worse. I think a lot of the time these people point at him because he is one of the biggest names in the industry. Either way, the Warrior is my all time favorites. Him and RVD is wild, and image them teaming up or even having a match. RIP Warrior

    • @shocbomb23

It's not only Hulk it's literally almost everyone who had any interaction with The Warrior had nothing nice to say about him at all, especially during his younger years and his prime. He did seem to mellow out though later on

    • @TheOther644
      @TheOther644 7 місяців тому +2

@@shocbomb23 Yeah I said those like the Hulk, and most of those that said shit about him were apart of Vince's The Ultimate Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior bull. And I wouldn't call 10 or so people everyone else, as RVD, H and Undertaker aren't one of those "everyone's". I mean yes he was stiff and had an ego, but the reasons for nearly all of those that hated him were lame.
Bret use to love Warrior but started to dislike him cause he didn't show up for a make a wish thing. Bagwell didn't like him cause he was a loner who eat alone. H who didn't like him then was cause he kicked out of his finisher, who the hell does a finisher right off the bat on a returning Legend. Rick Rude didn't like him cause he was to stiff (an actual reason), but Rude was known for starting fights and attacked Warrior backstage. Cause of this those like Hulk didn't want to work with Rude and he blames Warrior. Jake Roberts once hated Warrior (they made up) cause he was suppose to work a champions angle with warrior, but Warrior got himself fired. So cause Vince decided not to continue pushing Jake he blamed Warrior. Hulk is just a jealous tool and even admitted to being jealous. Sycho Sid quite cause he didn't like that Warrior kicked out of his finisher in 2 different matches.
See what I'm saying, lame ass reasons to hate on the guy. Yeah he was stiff and had an ego (which is like 90% of what people bitch out), but so does damn near everyone in the business. And his still not even close to the worst of them. Hulk, Cena, Punk, H (not anymore the case with H) and others have him beat in the worse department by miles. The only reason I see so many focusing on him is because he is one of the biggest names in the industry.
But I will say those that actually have a legit reason not to like the guy are Bobby Heenan, who was legit hurt and asked Warrior not to tough his neck but he did. And Andre The Giant, who was sick and hurting a lot towards the end there. Warrior was stiff with him and he didn't like it and Warrior wouldn't listen to Andre until he popped Warrior one.

Time has shown that just about everyone who talked trash about the Warrior has proven that they themselves are by far worse human beings, their kids too in some cases. Ted DiBiase Vince McMahon Hulk Hogan, the list goes on and on.

@@shocbomb23That's a complete myth, there are loads of wrestlers from that time that contrary to those that trash him, say that Jim was a good guy. Funnily enough, a lot of them tend to have been others who didn't stand for Vince's corporate BS and put themselves (as they should being independent contractors) first or equal to the company, and not subservient to it. This isn't a debatable point btw, it's a factual one - several of those wrestlers are on record on UA-cam saying it.

I was 12 years old when i met the Warrior in 1989 at Fashion Island Mall in San Mateo. He was in a GNC. I was scared shitless to ask and my brother ended up asking him and he said yeah and we asked for an autograph. Ill never forget the clerk at the GNC gave up some scratch paper and pens and the Warrior put...."Feel the Power.......Ultimate Warrior"......i was stunned by his massive forearms while wearing a jumpsuit. We asked him what he was doing there and he said even the Ultimate Warrior celebrates Christmas Brother (said to a 12 year old lol)...even more bizzare is i now live a few miles away from Crazy Horse 2 and been there many times (although it was a terrible stripclub honestly)....i never heard ANY of that story (specifically)... but i know ALOT of shady stuff went down there all the time. Thats crazy to me that this was brought up in this interview....of all places in the world.😂😂😂 That shitshow of a club (which has since then been demolished for years).

Some people don’t like Warrior cause he put himself and his family first in an industry where you’re expected to sacrifice everything to an employer who doesn’t give a shit about you. Like when he tried to hold Vince McMahon to ransom before Summerslam 91. People hated that cause Warrior had the balls to do something they only wish they could. In hindsight, I guess prioritizing yourself over Vince wasn’t such a bad idea in the end. 😅
Seriously, though, I think as you said he was just a bit different and didn’t necessarily fit in in the locker room, which made people feel uncomfortable, like he thought he was better than them. I’ve heard good stories and bad about interactions with him. He wasn’t a bad guy at heart I don’t think.

I went to the Capital Center in DC twice to see the Ultimate Warrior. Another time I ran into him at the gym I worked at in Northern Virginia. Just the biggest guy I had ever seen. I know the fellow wrestlers aren't always flattering about there interaction with the Warrior, but he was my absolute favorite. I couldn't get enough of the adrenaline, the intensity, the total havoc when he would come out. I don't think he's appreciated enough. I was always sad that his career was so short. After I stopped watching wrestling, my question to all my friends who still watched regularly was, "is the Warrior coming back?". When pressed, I even heard one detractor say when asked about the Warrior's legacy, he said, " he was the #2 guy in the #1 organization at the peak of wrestling". I'll take that.

@@mikedolan6176 that’s true but I was just saying that the Darkside of the ring would be an awesome place for the story of the mob, trying to push a wrestling for motor out of its business and him ending up dead. Also watch more dark sides of the rings there’s a lot other dark side of the rings, the cocaine cowboy one was amazing. Chris Benoit was pretty good but sad because I loved him

RVD and Warrior are not two people I would expect to get along, let alone be friends

    That is the truth.
F Dibiase and the liars like him trying to say everyone hated Warrior.
No, only the ones that couldn't knock Warrior down as bullies hated Warrior.

I honestly don't think Warrior was intentionally a bad guy, they said he didn't wanna learn but it must've been hard to ask advice or for help when WWE main events you almost from the start, I'm sure the guys resented him not putting in years to get there and they probably would have either gave him shit about asking or maybe even stooged him off as not good enough to get his spot ...Cornette says he shit on the business, but atleast Warrior didn't shit on someone's head ...

I liked warrior more than Hulk. I was a huge mythology mark too but found truth. The only God that await us, unless He returns, is Yeshua of Nazareth. Great stuff Rob! ❤❤❤

Man Rob couldn't be anymore the exact guy you wanted him to be. Some wrestlers are such a disappointment in their real personalities.

Weed smokers' minds are always just a little... sloppy. I would love to hear what Rob sounds like in an alternate universe in which he never picked it up. Rob's a good guy but man.
