This is the only wrestler I've ever seen in a shoot interview who actually looks way better now than he did back when he was an active wrestler.

I understand that it is Jerry Sags and that it was part of the Nasty Boys look, but can he leave his artificial tooth 🦷 in when he does interviews 20 years after he retired? 😀

I always thought Sags could have done well as a solo act. I remember watching them in the AWA and man, they were bad. It was different in that territory as the growth was slow and painful. You'd see two shlubs thrown together (in the worst attire) and they would constantly be fed to the roster (after being eaten by the roster as single competitors) to the point that you could never take them seriously and slowly (SLOWLY) they would start to put together the odd win and then they were a legitimate contender team (think of the Young Stallions in WWF but with a couple of prison janitors). It was a horrible system for trying to make stars for a struggling promotion.

Jerry Sags got into a lot of scuffles during his pro wrestling career. Based on everything I’ve heard from the guys who worked with him, he was probably among the Top 5 toughest guys in any locker room. Sags was easily 10 times tougher than his partner Brian Knobbs, who was also prone to get into brawls. That being said, thankfully for the Nasty Boys, their fight with Ken Shamrock occurred before Ken became a trained MMA fighter. Jerry Sags and Fred “Typhoon” Ottman are each married to one of Dusty Rhodes’ sisters. So they are the uncles of Dustin and Cody Rhodes.

Not sure why people think MMA fighters are dangerous on the street. Real fights are totally different than sport. Real fights are ruthless. Look at Jacques vs Dynamite. Dynamite was trained by real shooters, knew how to stretch someone. Jacques had no training like his brother who could box. Regardless Jacques smashed Dynamite and knocked his teeth out
