This is the first review of this bottle I have saw. Sounds like it’s a fine bottle but the price is gonna keep me away. Availability is also very tough so I won’t put in the trouble to try and find it. Cheers
I hate how distilleries are now just seeing how much people will pay. “Ah let’s just list a bottle for way too much money, I’m sure they’ll still bite!”

@@PussyBonpensieroJust because its Utah only doesnt mean it wasn't released.. This years is also Utah only. Doesnt change the fact that it exists.
Laughs at HW 80% Rye 20% Malted Barley. HW has a 1600 gallon still. That makes about three barrels a distillation run (8-14 hours). Now think Buffalo Trace at 1132 barrels a day. Think about how much High West sells in a year. The company will never say in an official statements that they use this. They just let reps say it is part HW juice. Totally my own option is there are just drops of their own whiskey in each bottle. You have this at #2 on the blend. 1600 gallon still can not keep up with whiskey sold in Hawaii let a lone a Global Brand like HW. The secondary market for Whiskey has been purchased up in the last few years. There is very little good stuff out there for people to buy. HW was build to be a repacking plant that is it. Let's also talk about the fact that once you have a blend the TTB allows you to put things in it such as caramel coloring. Then you bring up the "High Country" HW say's they fully make this? Why does the TTB legal statement on the bottle say "Bottled by High West"? not "Distilled" and Bottled by High West? Then on the bottle description it uses "Blend". Blend = Sourced from other distilleries.
Thanks for that thought provoking comment. I want to say they made changes to the midwinter nights dram label that left the door open to add stuff like natural flavours. I always appreciate distilleries who go above and beyond on their bottle labels and information that explains specifically the process. I'm thinking folks like Chattanooga.
