Mark's prediction of Periphery getting big after the new album was so spot on. Such a humble dude. If they collaborated it would be the heaviest creative metal damn
I'm so proud to be brown AND Canadian(yes i 'm a protest the hero fan as well). All these progressive guitarists are a huge influence to me and many others as well. Playing guitar is definately an escape from the pressures of life.
Great interview! What the two of them said at the end about practice & persistence is all too true. I am 50, been a drummer since I was 5 I just picked up guitar over the summer because of what I have been hearing from Misha & Mark. Having success & loads of fun learning to play and oh I have bad arthritis in hands & wrists but, I love it. Mark & Misha & Fred have been my inspiration. Thanks fellas!
Misha and Marc are like 2 of my new biggest inspirations right there in one video. Seeing them like so close and chill together is really awesome, haha I wish I was there to chill with them as well and jam.
A lot of people are saying that Misha is "interviewing himself" or flat out saying "he's being rude." I'm a music journalist and in my training of doing broadcast interviews, I was taught to keep my questions short because what is drawing the audience is who you're interviewing. But since this is Misha of Periphery, both VOM and Periphery fans are going to this interview to watch pretty much a collaboration of both of these talented guitarists.
I will admit that I do torrent some songs, just cause I only like few songs, and I buy albums too, but I will defiantly always buy merch, but I wish bands would tour where I live and I would defiantly pay up to 45 dollars to go see all of Sumerians bands at once!
Guitar Messenger: you are a genius. Instead of putting an intervewer, who dosen't know anything about music, you put a guitarist, intervewing another guitarist. Awesome shit.
At 10:50 honestly that is me "Working at a job I don't enjoy wishing I was doing this" only I quit that job I had but the whole time I was like fuck i need to start to actually write music.. then I started... I hate it all but apparently a few people like it XD
How does Periphery write a new album 2 monthes after the first one they made?!?!?! it took me 1 year to write my album and im completely drained of riff ideas after lmao
Well, 5 years from this video they made fuckin banger albums, thats for fuckin sure.
5 years in both directions my guy
@@KingChevy7 ayeeeee beat me to it
Mark's prediction of Periphery getting big after the new album was so spot on. Such a humble dude. If they collaborated it would be the heaviest creative metal damn
And here we are with Veil opening for Periphery on their latest tour together.
They're so Bromantic when they said they were each others favorite guitarist. lol
Brojob! Brojob! Brojob!
5 years after... We are still waiting on the 14 brown children.
+Winston Jarquin We don't even have one yet.
7 years later still no brown children
They should do a fusion album together...they should start a fusion band
5 years after your comment, still waiting on the 14 brown children
5 more years, still waiting
I love how they keep talking about collaborating and then Misha co-wrote Eclipse
Oh shit for real?! I didn't know
12 years later and they are still top tier
Im 16 and in love with this music and planning to follow a similar path as these legends.
10 years later... Feels just like yesterday 😐
5 years later VoM put out the best album in existence
And 10 years later even better albums. Love ‘em!
PERIPHERY II is like the best album of progressive djent metal music ever done...
Waiting for Juggernaut by now !
Can't help but have more respect for bands and artist like this when they do these interviews. You really get to see they're mind set.
jesus christ, 2 of my most favorite musicians of all time having a discussion. this is a dream
I'm so proud to be brown AND Canadian(yes i 'm a protest the hero fan as well). All these progressive guitarists are a huge influence to me and many others as well. Playing guitar is definately an escape from the pressures of life.

I like Misha cause he really expresses himself and truly enjoys music and the creative aspect of it. Rare to find people like that.
These two interviews are awesome, there the most chilled interview in the world!
