Misha is frickin' awesome - such a nice guy. Apologies to the un-initiated for some of the more Periphery in-joke-y questions, it's not often you get to interview one of your idols.
Check out Periphery here: www.myspace.com...
i love misha...he's a huge inspiration to everyone in this current "home producer" age we are in...along with keith merrow and of course ola englund
"Aaayo fam check out my mix tape."
I love this, because it's so production-based and I love seeing Dave and Misha talk like old friends having only just met.
Thats how interviews go sometimes.
The hell? I didn't know you interviewed Misha!
yeah great interview, definitely nice to have an interviewer to know what he's talking about unlike majority of most interviewers, good job!
@tecch2 Jaga Jazzist!
I love these interviews Dave. Can you do a DnB or Dubstep producer next please?
Props to Bulb for not only mentioning Karnivool but talking them up and giving praise for the work theyve put into their albums.
Holy shit, you did an interview with misha.
HAHAHA
yasss. Man knows his shit.
The dear hunter - act 2 is one of my favourite albums in a LONG TIME :D
hehe 6:09 - "500 K" but srsly, sick dude
I love BT too.
@Periphery In case you're still wondering: Norway. My brother has gotten lectures at the University of Oslo from one of the umpteen million people who have played in Jaga Jazzist.
I remember reading an update about Karnivool on Facebook, I think. Idk... All I have to say is THANK YOU MISHA!!! Karnivool is now one of my favorite bands. Also Circles. He said to listen to Circles. Very good idea.
Hell yeah Misha The Dear Hunter is one sick ol band, you are now my favorite person in the world, hands down.
Good work, Dave
@Periphery Set up that tour Misha. Jaga Jazzist, Animals As Leaders, Squarepusher, and Periphery. I would pay any amount to see that lineup.
@Periphery From Norway!
@mokeymina2 That's why killswitch is and always will be my favorite band! They're modest, produce heavy and flowing melodic stuff, and they got me into metal. Plus they're hilarious. That's also why Blink 182 is one of favs, too. I've noticed most of these metal bands are chill guys who just love making music.
OMG! HE LIKE OWL CITY TOOO!
@barneycockburn If you're referring to what Misha said, he probably said "Karnivool", it's a band, Misha loves them, check them out :-)
KARNIVOOOOL!!!!!!!
THATS what he said??
i was looking up random japanese sounding words like "Unatami"!
They are norwegian and awesome :)
I agree. We are probably most fortunate to be able to a lot of stuff on our own these days and get our stuff out there quicker. We have our own things to worry about now, but home production takes some of the cost and worry out.
That being said, Misha's very scatterbrained and the way he talks drives me nuts. I wish he'd just finish his thoughts and sentences without detouring all over the place and rephrasing.
@Periphery Djaga Djazzist!
Can you interview ZOMBOY. He is probably the best dubstep producer out right now?
This interviewer is a badass.
@barneycockburn It's Karnivool.
They're not Swedish, they're Norwegian!
TheZachAtacKK Periphery is far from cow shit, it's one of the leaders in the whole djent scene.
FUCK YEAH TELEFON TEL AVIV
Props to "The Dear Hunter"
Karnivool are the bomb
Cubase.
Sorry I may have missed it, but what software does Misha use for recording?

dave, stop rushing your interviews, if people want to add something, just let them, dont try to move forward to the next question violently.
De-Facto petition to get Dave to interview Skrillex. Like if agreed.
Can you not upload a video longer then 15 minutes?
@Spacecowboyy Telefon Tel Aviv
Also, not Swedish. Norwegian.

Props to Bulb for not only mentioning Karnivool but talking them up and giving praise for the work theyve put into their albums.
