Misha is frickin' awesome - such a nice guy. Apologies to the un-initiated for some of the more Periphery in-joke-y questions, it's not often you get to interview one of your idols.
Check out Periphery here: www.myspace.com...
Who knew this guy who hangs out with Maxmoefoe and Idubbbz would talk to Misha from Periphery.
Two worlds collide
superspinclaw Makes me wonder if the guys in Periphery know about idubbbz, maxmoefoe, anything4views etc
And making some music with pewdiepie and rob scallon
WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN OMG WHY HAVENT I SEEN THIS
ikr :D
Dan O'Flaherty wtf I'm only seeing this now too!
lol me too what is dis
Lmao same I only just found this holy shit!!
They need to catch up and do another video, I wonder what Boyinaband still thinks about Periphery
I went looking for a Misha interview and found that another one of my favorite artists interviewed him.
Fuck it, rad as hell.
@metalhead77479 I know right? In fact the whole band was ridiculously down to earth and friendly. Way more so than me.
@eXist2048 haha besides our drummer matt who is 6'3
When I found this video, it was like realizing my two best friends were ALSO friends. Such an awesome interview!
Wow. Just two nerds with stiff posture, awkwardly bonding over metal guitar tones. Incredible
I’ve been a fan of both of these guys separately for years and only just now found this so it’s bizarre seeing them together, especially so early in both of their careers.
My favorite part has gotta be Misha’s laugh at 7:50 that was probably a lot louder than he intended, causing it to echo through the auditoriums silence, followed by Dave’s uncomfortable stare, then a random cut. This video is truly a gem
WHY HAVENT I SEEN THIS YET?
?????????????????? I'm subscribed to this man, and he interviewed the founder of my favorite band, and I didn't know......whew.
Best interview so far! Misha is one of the coolest and most down to earth guys ever, and such an open person. Cant wait for part 2!!!
and at 0:59 at first i thought misha said he was djent lagged hahah
please do more of this!
@00Dakka Everyone likes surprises! :D
W H A T W H Y H A V E N ' T I S E E N T H I S
Dave's shirt is fucking fire.
i saw this when it was put up, and this is bringin me back haha

i found out about this band about 2 months ago XD
i was very impressed when my mate said he done his album at home :D cant wait for part 2:P
Ah!! To say that finding this video today made me extremely happy would be an understatement .thnx UA-cam recommendations ❤️
What a well done intervew. Excellent stuff. I found my music haven. Mansoor is a genius.
Was not expecting this , awesome.
Haha, you were probably right. Okay, quick update, after posting that comment six months ago I met Misha after a show in the UK, along with Spencer and Mark, who me and my friend actually had a really long talk with :P They're all awesome, down to earth guys :D
i like how in the beginning he labels him as a producer instead of a musician haha,
You can hear TesseracT in the background! Very cool interview.
tesseract playing in the background
lmao guy in yellow looks like young version of steven wilson xD
kekmeanlol it's funny because I always thought Dave reminded me of someone xD
"What's your favourite song by Nobuo Uematsu"
Dave coming in strong with the real questions
Thanks Nobuo
@@codhcod4949 real
@@ether2006 you heard djent is not a genre already? (the full thing)
@@codhcod4949 yes !
@@ether2006 is awesome
It's hard to meet Misha unless you some how get a back stage pass. I saw them live and only saw Spencer after they got done playing. Misha literally disappears though. Me and my friends where joking around about how he probably ditched the rest of the show to practice his "up/down picking" in the bus. If you catch my drift.
I think they love eachotherb
Well maybe you met him before the band got bigger, but we literally could not find him. It was like me losing a lighter in between my car seats. But trust me I don't have a problem finding people. Got to meet Tosin and shake his hand, then I got to hang out with the Rings of Saturn crew. Really cool and talented fellows.
0:10 the way he says hi is hilarious
LMAO WHAT? I have bough shirts from Misha as their merch table, I have seen him walking outside of a venue and gave him some suggestions on food. Just scream "MISHA!" and he typically shows up.
If you have trouble meeting Misha then you sir will never meet anyone in a band.
I LOVE the RAIN!
1:43 Tesseract - Concealing Fate Pt.2 - Deception
awesome interview, thanks for posting it on youtube.
I cracked up at the Hi!
I was at that show!
Oh god i'm just picturing that...
Misha Mansoor, a true.. Djentleman..
"I think it's when you stick your-"
OH MY FUCKING GOD NEVER CLICKED ON A VIDEO SO FAST
ehm like ehm like...he also syncopates words.
that's DJEHMT.
Same favourite game as Misha, life is complete.
These men are the future of music from this perspective.
wait why am i just now seeing this......
top notch lol like the accent dude.
such a humble guy misha is
I love how Fisherman's Horizon is a suggestion on the side ;)
@jdmimport13 Superior Drummer was ran with the E-Kit. I don't know much about Superior drummer. What do you mean by that?
why havent I seen this?
holy shit! misha \m/
@LascaillesShroudBand Djent is a Genre. Fact. It is a word used to describe a style of music.
does anyone recognise the band playing through the wall at about 4:00 ? sounds like tesseract but i dont recognise the song
no, he had a lot of input on the riffs. same with the VoM record he produced where he wrote quite a few riffs. I produce myself, and I often say to a band "hey, this would sound better", Misha's like that as well. control freak. ;)
If a musician is inspired by Nobuo Uematsu you know that they are going to make great music with out a doubt.
@LascaillesShroudBand a lot of people have used words similar to djent to describe guitar sound, usually it's more like djun, but the dje is the sound the lower strings of the guitar and bass make and the nt is the snap of the higher string. I was wondering what they word would be used to describe the genre after metal. rock to metal made sense to me but metal to djent was completely unexpected, And i would know, afterall i am a djentleman \m/
technically, if you start out with the drums, you have to place them in an order in which you write them..
Johnny fucking bravo shirt.
Win.
@jdmimport13 Define further. Recorded with E-Kit and then replaced with SD?
I knew it sounded familiar, I couldn't think of what band it was!
I like how he says he wrote AaL's parts but all he did was program their drums and synth effects....
The Streets poster in the back. Fuck yes.
@LascaillesShroudBand They are Indeed.
Misha MAnsoor is a indian brother.......so is Kim from Soundgarden
Holy shit he actually wrote parts for AAL Self titled?! I knew he produced
I can't remember exactly, but in one of his streams he did last year, Misha said that he had done a lot of work on the first labum. When Tosin came to him they were just ideas and hadn't been made into full songs yet. Misha had a lot of influence on the songwriting aspect of AAL's self-titled album.
djentlag
awww :3
i think i might start spelling every word that begins with j as dj instead lol
djelly, djuice, djunior, djoke etc xD
Tesseract was on during this interview! I hear Dan towards the beginning! :D
anyone know if there's some of the old animals as leaders demos on the net somewhere?
so.... what's a french door knob?
...are you sure you want to know?
oui oui
Crazymofoinamajikbox dude ive got to try that!
good luck with that
Frak the Dos Equis guy, MISHA MANSOOR is the most interesting man in the world
Tesseract sound checking Deception in the background.
ya i knew that already. hehe
hmmmm Misha Mansoor... such a djentle soul...
@WardHankDUBSTEP I guess you are lucky then. They are coming back for Sonisphere, this year.
1:52 HOLY SHIT A GHOST!
HOW DID YOU GET TO MEET MISHA
Can anyone tell me which band they mention at the beginning of the interview, i can't understand ;/
I was at that gig, weeeee
is that tesseract playing in the backround?!?!
I can hear tesseract playing in the background
@1xDRCx You started it.
For a second I was disregarding that first statement but after thinking about it. They have some serious picking speed. Maybe some of the tabs and some insight in the time signatures and they might indeed get far. And true. lars,, nope.,..
Johnny Bravo!! Cool interview too :D
lol :D
Johnny Bravo!
Bulb is the djesus of djent. He is such a djentleman! Every time he djents my djenitalia gets hard and i djizz.
Wait. Is he saying that he used Toon Track to make his album? He didn't use real drums, He used software? I'm confused.
So now that this video is so frickin' old, what do you think of Juggernaut?!
Reverie SHIT. Jk I loved it.
@L0wPressure aah, thx ;)
i couldn't hear what they said ^^
Randomly in my recommended
did i hear Djet lag?!
n/
Thumbs up for Johnny Bravo shirt.
Jhonny Bravo!!! yeah! ^^
Haha :D
Is that TesseracT in the background?
@anima60 Animals as Leaders.
Dude wtff? Have something nice to say, Metallica is great, all metal of today where based from Metallica and bands alike, but in all honesty coming from me, I like listing to Periphery, and bands alike, so just have some respect, and instead of going around saying disrespectful shit, go to a One Direction video and spread the word of metal, cause Misha has real good talent on his guitar.
whats his background? couldnt find any bio on him..
fishermens horizon!
