The Bee Gees were one of the most unique music groups of the 60s and 70s. They produced a sound and style that was unique and has stood the test of time. Their music was made timeless when they produced the soundtrack for the blockbuster film Saturday Night Fever. No doubt, their music will continue to inspire others.
Sadly, three of the Bee Gees and their mother, Barbara are no longer with us. They left behind a legacy of great music and artistry.
Robin Gibb left us in 2012 from a kidney failure. His vibrato vocals were a perfect complement to Barry’s falsetto singing. Maurice Gibb left us in 2003 following surgery to his intestine. He died due to cardiac arrest. He was a multi-faceted musician who played the keyboard, guitar, and percussion instruments.
Andy Gibb died well before his brothers in 1988 at the age of 30. He died from an inflammatory heart virus due to cocaine addiction. Nevertheless, he helped the Bee Gees become one of the most popular pop groups of their era.
The Bee Gees got their musical talents from their mother Barbara. She died at the age of 95 in 2016. In the early days of their career, The Bee Gees had their parents manage their careers.
Barry Gibb is the surviving member of The Bee Gees. He misses his brothers and often talks about their talents and how The Bee Gees became popular. We hope that for many more years we’ll get to learn about this talented group of brothers and how they transformed popular music.
Let’s learn more about how each of the Bee Gees died…

The Bee Gees are timeless and their music will live forever.
BEST BAND IN HISTORY!! THEIR MUSIC IS TIMELESS!
RIP MAURICE
RIP ROBIN
RIP ANDY ❤😥
My sentiments exactly.
The BeeGees music is so good, and their voices and words in their songs are so beautiful, their music is timeless & forever. They have been & still are so enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. They have become a part of a select number in a club of singers & bands whose music will live on forever, no doubt! Think about the 50's & 60's bands & singers that started it all, we still listen to their music today...from 50 & 60 years ago. One generation to another their music is loved and passed on, soul, jazz, & pop. Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Elvis, Queen, Jimmie Hendrix, & the Beatles. There are others, but I can't name all of them. This club only has a select few of the great ones and the BeeGees are definitely in that club! Thank you Barry, Robin, and Maurice for bringing joy into my life and billions of other people's lives through your music.❤❤❤❤❤ Barry, you will see and be with your brothers again, I guarantee you that!!

I’m 80 years old and still love the BG s. If the younger generations aren’t fans it’s there loss. There will never be another group like the BG s.
I’m a younger generation and The Bee Gees are my all time favorite band even though Barry is the last one 😔
Some of us were lucky and our parents let us use their record players.
I'm 16 and I love the Bee Gees, having around 200 songs download and a list of songs from each album

Never in the History of Music has there been a more sustaining group of composers & performers in both life and beyond. They aren't even second to "The Beatles" as they stand shoulder to shoulder and then some. While two off The Bee Gees are gone (Robin & Maurice a/k/a "The Twins") their brother Barry continues their legacy at times accompanied by his sons, nephews and niece which for me personally brings tears. To this day Barry Gibb remains active musically and has recorded an extensive CD as a tribute to country music and his brothers which all three brothers followed all through their growing years...Barry oversaw recordings by some of country music's most famous artists performing many of The Bee Gees music with their own recognizable spin...all recorded in the same studio where Presley recorded in Tennessee...Barry was in awe at actually being able to secure the same studio. You cannot see enough, hear enough or read enough about these talented brothers whose "perfect harmony" is legendary. Their younger brother, who unfortunately preceded Robin and Maurice in death, was slated to officially join his brothers years later as the "Fourth" Bee Gee...an event millions of fans looked forward to and got a taste of years earlier when "The Baby Bee Gee" Andy joined his three brothers during one of their most memorable concerts "The White" concert wherein they all were dressed in varying degrees of white...it was during the intro to their last song of the evening "You Should Be Dancing" that big brother Barry announced "Ladies and Gentlemen, our brother Andy" to the thousands in attendance whose cheers were felt even though it was later seen in video. Oh what a night! Their music, their voices, their distinct sound left an indelible mark on all who heard them perform. Sir Barry knighted by Prince Charles was an eventual historic event...one I'm sure his three brothers watched from a stage lite by stars and blessed by the almighty.
The Bee Gees are still popular to this day and always will be, in my opinion.
Definitely

Yes I love them and their music.
"How do yo mend a broken heart" is my favorite BeeGees song.
Me too ♥️
Actually that's one of their worst songs.

I will always treasure The Bee Gees music as I grew up with them …. On the radio, records, going roller skating in the 70’s to their music~ I’ll never forget Skate King which played every song of theirs one New Years Eve at an All Night Skate! I remember my parents making me & a friend take a nap before we went but we had to fake the nap we were way too excited to sleep b4 the all-nite-skate!! We’d go and hear all the BeeGees songs!!!!! 😊😎
Those days were the best days of my life! I remember my niece( 3 yrs younger than me,) she sure had a crush on Andy Gibb!!
She was only like 6 & I was 9!
We knew our music at a young age us girls back then~
These guys will never be forgotten!!! They were all.really good, caring men, fabulous performers, and A SURE ONE ☝🏼 OF A KIND VOICE!!
Anywhere you are, Anywhere you go, you will always recognize the voices of The Bee Gees!!
There will never be another group like them~ & to be cherished again ~forever!
God bless The Bee Gees in heaven and on earth! Amen!!
I still love this group ! My heart still pounds when I hear their music. The are truly unique !!
Their music will live forever, it’s just that great!
they will be remembered for years to come in fact they will be remembered for ever they were brilliant and Robin had the voice of an angel. Barry is still going strong the others went far too soon
All the Bee Gees family members ie: their children, grandchildren etc will see that the music is not forgotten. They are all still doing things now to keep it going. The songs still come up on the radio stations, and not just the later ones but the ones from the 60s too.
The BeeGees music will last forever! What talented singers & songwriters. Bless those BeeGees that have passed...
@@Mum60 I love the BeeGee’s and their remarkable outstanding career. They bring tears to my eyes just to hear their life stories. I am stirred by their music. They’re style will NEVER be matched. One of a kind. Mold of them was buried not to ever belong to someone else getting credit. I lov d Barry with his looks and voice first then all three of them are my icons. I love you BeeGees and always will.
Osez mettre les autres de côté est honteux. Je vous rappelle que les Bee gees étaient trois et Maurice avait une très jolie voix différente mais qui allait avec toutes les voix, dit par Barry, était très attachant et drôle, plus simple que ses 2 frères

They had voices of angels !!! The song writing was above excellence. Will always listen to them as their music lives on and on !!!
I live the Bee Gees...they are in my heart and I always play their music...I have their 1989 concert saved on PBS and play it at least twice a month.
Living in the Buffalo area in the 70's, my husband went into Canada to buy me one of their first albums as a gift...it had not been available yet in the United .
I still have that vinyl. The group was pure and their love for each other shined. I wish I could find the tribute to the group that was on tv...so many groups singing their songs with Barry and family in attendance. Amazing. Truly my favorite group...and I went to Woodstock in 1969 and yet...I place them above all groups. My heart breaks every time I play their tracks...a truly beautiful family...and so unique. You might not be able to find Cribb Island on the map anymore as it is now Part of the Brisbane Airport. The minute you see the water from the Runway at Brisbane Airport, That is where Cribb Island along with Jackson Estate. Otherwise everything was spot on . As for the band the Bee Gees, My old man knew the boys back in the days they were living on Cribb Island and I often refer them as the Cribbie Boys because of where they grew up. I fell in love with the Bee Gees when I heard their 1st song. I listen to their music every day. God bless them for sharing their talent with the world. ❤
Memorable! They are still popular even in the new generation!
Love the Bee Gees. I have such respect for them. Such a huge talent and such a huge loss to not have Mo and Robin around (and Andy) who all had that distinctive Bee Gee tone, but all sounding totally different from each other as well. Quite apart from the Bee Gees, Barry and Babs duets on Guilty is one of my all time favourite albums.
Those amazing voices.....and harmonies stunned but individually they each had fab voices / great singing capability.
Robin's voice was so 'out there' unique with that delicate, feathery vibrato - it's off the scale
Barry's singing is so versatile with three distinct sounds - his tenor, his breathy hushy sound and that wow-mazing Falsetto that put them in the big league.
Mo's perfect harmonies and sweet tenor was not so unique as the other two's voices, but he was never ever bland and so in tune and so true to sound. I wish he'd sung more lead than he did. My favourite songs are actually fronted by Mo: Closer than Close, Man in the Middle. He was an amazing country singer too.
These three were top notch genius songwriters and singing talent every bit as good as The Eagles and other harmony trios. For some to poke fun at them as 70s satin shirted, medallion, piano toothed pop act - as if that phase was the pinnacle of their talent - have got it so wrong.
In many ways, the Bee Gees suffer the same problem as Kate Bush does/did. Again, she is another genius singer/songwriter who - to the ignorant and undiscerning - is known mainly as that screechy, weird girl who sang Wuthering Heights. Seems like having a super high vocal is not necessarily a good thing.
Loved and still love their music. So sorry for the pain Barry must have endured losing all his younger brothers. So happy this music was such a big part of my life.
We're a big fan of the Bee Gees too. In your opinion, what is their finest song?
