Today is Barry’s birthday and his and Linda’s 53rd Anniversary. I’m sure that was no easy feat for them but I feel that much of Barry’s grounding was due to Linda. I am on the spectrum and I have studied the Gibb brothers a while and yet everyday I learn new tidbits about them. Barry always played that big brother role but there was also quite a rivalry between Barry and Robin, I think they were both very competitive and Maurice truly was the man in the middle of a complicated plan. It seemed that after Robin first did the lead in Massachusetts, he loved that lead vocal slot and didn’t want to give it up. I think they each had the most incredible voices in the music business. They had their idiosyncrasies as do we all. If you watch enough interviews and performances you will see how when Robin sings Massachusetts that Barry turns his back to the microphone and only turns back around when he is to rejoin the harmonies. Robin does the same thing on certain songs, he will literally turn his back to the audience and let Barry sing his part. I sincerely wish they had all been closer at the end of Andy, Robin’s and MO’s life. They all love each other very much but their own ego’s and proclivities seemed to get in the way.who of us that have siblings haven’t had our issues and our challenges but at the end of the day or the end of our lives it all seems so trivial. I absolutely love these young men and will listen to their music and I will keep studying their personalities, their expressions, their coping skills as long as I’m on this earthly plane. I love the BeeGees more than the Beatles, always have, always will. Barry describes Robin as the eccentric one and I believe this, he was also the one that liked to watch women having sex together, this was what excited him. We are who we are and the beauty part of having a very good family is being in one that accepts you unconditionally. so Barry & Linda thank you tonight for your steadfastness during the last 53 years, I know it hasn’t been easy but Barry you are last man standing and my hat is off to you for playing your big brother role in this family, and I am just so proud of your strong influence on your 6 year old brothers when you were only 9. They wanted to be just like you, so whatever you wanted to be that’s what they wanted to be. Thank you Barry and Happy Birthday to you and Kudos to you and Linda on this your 53rd wedding anniversary. I love you all so very much!❤
Barry is a loving big brother and taking care his 3 brothers all the time Happy 77th birthday to my favorite handsome sweet Barry ❤all his different voices
I completely agree with you. I think Barry was a different man than his brothers. But I think his wife Linda had a lot to do with this. Yes, Linda was very beautiful, Barry was very in love with her and never cheated on her, he always wanted her by his side, but at the same time she was a tough woman. Barry's strings were always in her hands. She kept him away from drugs and night life. and kept him away from women. They had a world of their own. Barry always said that he had a different life than his siblings. Robin had no chance with women. He loved his first wife but was never around her. However, you can see Linda traveling with Barry, even with the little baby. His second wife also used him. Robin became depressed and unhappy and a weak man. Mo only got rid of his alcohol problem in 1991. He had a very good wife, but they had no family life. The fact that Barry is still with us has everything to do with it. He always had a happy and healthy life
@@Melke.2024 I totally agree! Barry does seem to be the most grounded of them all. I watch and read all I can find about them and the picture comes more and more into focus. I am sure there was temptation during those 53 years and there was opportunity on both sides to cheat. I am so glad they persevered. I think Linda may very well have saved Barry’s life. The older I get the more I appreciate the BeeGee’s, especially Barry!❤️
Yes, Barry said in an interview in 2019 that they both had a lot of opportunities to cheat, but such a thing never happened after marriage. I think he wanted Linda with him to eliminate all the dangers 😉 Linda was a very smart woman. I'm sure she put a lot of effort into this marriage. But it looks like it was worth it ❤️ When Piers Morgan asked Barry what is the moment he wants to relive when he looks back on his career, he said the day I met Linda. This already explains everything

Adorable Maurice. Such talented guys. Good memories. Great music. ❤
It's funny that Barry and Robin are front men, but Maurice is actually the most animated, funny and outgoing when people talk to them. Robin such a pro that he could not be deterred from a great delivery by Maurice's antics. Fun stuff.
@@maximilian2974Loosen up, buttercup. It's all part of the charm with this dynamic trio.
"Barry und Robin are front men." ? Robin - Frontmann hier.
Robin never. Got over is first wife
Thy wouldn't of been has big has thy where without him

They always sound very in tune with each other!!?
My favourite singing group since I was young they're very talented , indeed thanks
Love the BeeGee voices! They are extraordinary singers and composers! ❤️🎶❤️💖😊
Maurice is clearly in aww of the talent of his brother Robin. Just his reaction sitting on that couch, I love when he looks over at Johnny, wink and just gives a look like "yeah I know, I know" is just absolutely priceless.
For sure....& think he was in awe of both brothers!🎵
@@kthor. And he was every bit as talented. Possibly more, played many instruments and had a beautiful voice.
I am pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon the entire interview. I have only seen the part where they sing Massachusetts, and didn't know they sang two other songs before this. I absolutely love the Bee Gees, my all time favorite group. I miss them being together. Thanks to YT for having these videos so I can see my favorite group over and over again!
Bee Gees hoje e sempre em nosso ❤
Never seen it before!!! Perfect
Barry Gibb is still performing and sounds great.
Thanks for posting. .Wonderful to see his.
I love the Bee Gees...period!

The most better singers and songwriters of all times. My life's soundtrack❤
I love the way you dance...Robin!!!❤❤❤
Yes, yes, yes!! Robin was sooooooo awesome!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
16:00 was always falling in love the funny performance from maurice gibb, its sounds maybe hard but he was the perfect men in the middle..
this was also a song from maurice " i m just the men in the middle"
Melhor do mundo . Jamais terá outro tão bom qto os Bee . Amo vc Robin a voz mais bela q esse mundo já ouviu .
❤
Nice hearing rarer songs!
They sound so amazing, just harmonizing on the couch. I have been on a Bee Gees kick here lately. I love their music.
Have you seen their performance of Blue Island on MTV? It's excellent & just them and 2 guitars! Think they also sang another song & played MTV's Wall of Death, which is quite entertaining!
Robin looks so healthy and good here soon cute ❤️😇
La mejor banda de la historia!!!!❣️❤️💞💕
❤
hard to belief the songs" Wouldn't I Be Someone”,and “Saw A New Morning" failed to chart in the USA at the time. They sound as good as their other classic pre-Arif Mardin hits, which just shows how talented they were as songwriters and performers. Three and a half years away from being the biggest act in the world...and their little brother did ok too.
I have been listening to their albums again. I will never understand why they didn’t have more number 1s.
They never wrote a bad song .
Flawless , perfection, real talent not like today's crap.
I'm so glad that this whole interview is now on YT and not just the performances from it! I've been wanting to watch it for quite awhile and now I finally got to! I think it's so good, funny, and adorable and it looked and sounded like the Bee Gees were having such a fun time throughout it.
It's been on UA-cam for a long time
@@psychedelic.dreamer Really? The whole entire interview? 'Cause, one time, I searched it and only found the performances from it. Huh!
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE‼️
Karish.6303: I wholeheartedly AGREE‼️ They were great entertainers just being their honest selves‼️‼️‼️
@@susanyork6097 They sure were!
The greatest band of all time. Legends. I have loved them for over 50 years. Johnny is a legend as well.
Flawless. Wonderful. Theyve given us so much and more.
I’ve been in love with the BeeGees since they first formed their band
I love you all so very much!❤
Barry is a loving big brother and taking care his 3 brothers
all the time
Happy 77th birthday to my favorite handsome sweet Barry ❤all his different voices

I totally agree!

What a terrific find. Thank you for posting. The number of times these folks have reinvented themselves, and been successful is a testimony to their talent and genius. I'm just happy to have been born at a time when I could enjoy their entire repertoire
The GOATS! Barry, Robin, Maurice, and Johnny.
