As a guy who has both tau and orks if I want to just have a goofy time ill play the orks but if i want to play more realistic style space war ill just play tau. Its fun to have the most illogical and logical armys.

It was bizarre to me when he said he hated the Genestealer Cults when he "first started getting into 40k." I'm so used to them being a new race that I barely know anything about because I cared more about WH40k in the 00s, and established fans making videos on the IP who only actually became fans recent enough that stuff like the Genestealer Cults were already a faction...is weird.

Here’s a good video to try: Test peoples knowledge of comparing actual lore to TTS lore (for example, the Fabulous Custodes were mostly canon; Bruva Alfabusa exaggerated everything. Also, SKARBRAND doesn’t scream in third-person in canon and Rogal Dorn isn’t extremely literal-minded)

Harlequin's actually had some pretty cool lore all the way back to 2nd edition. Wanderers of the webway that preserve history through performances. Their masks could show any face, their clothes could shift colors to blend in with their surroundings or shatter into a eye bleeding kaleidoscope of colors while moving that made it hard to even focus on them. They were fast, agile, resourceful, and even more alien than the craftworld eldar. As quick to kill a human as to say hello.

Ever since 343 murdered halo I've been looking to get into warhammer 40 carrots as a coping mechanism. Few channels have captured my attention in this regard, this is one of them. Loved the video, I look forward to seeing more. Even if it's not about the most depraved universe known to man.

8:31 finally got some nice guard support with new models, but theyre just more cadians. they really need to give more support to the other guard regiments. It cant be that hard for a big company to whip up some new models for other regiments
I will say that Knight Lore isn't that deep, they're exactly what they say on the tin, Romanticized Medieval Knights in Mech Suits. But their gameplay offers quite a bit more depth. They can just Throw a Titanic model at you and call it a day, but they also have enough options in their customization options that no two Knight lists are ever exactly the same despite only having 9 standard models.
9 models is also counting each unit as a different model. The only physical difference between each Unit of the same class is their weapons. What makes them so cost effective is that you can build nearly any army composition with 7 boxes. So for 815 dollars, at the full GW price which you should never buy at, you have every single Knight army if you magnetize them.

I just started a few months ago and almost instantly fell in love with the AdMechs. Funny lil guys praying the bluescreen away. But I agree with da Boyz on da top. Orkz are just da best and they bring so much comic relief to the setting. I respect Orkz players so much
My man the beauty of the tanks lie very little in the tank itself, and 80% in the epic guns. As for the imperial knight, they are the in universe version of a knights horse. The big stompy robots have a machine spirit that the pilot needs to tame

I love the Blood Angels as they are my choice of army, but man do I wish they had a solid centerpiece model. I suppose it doesn't really help with Sanguinius being dead, lol.
I honestly appreciate how biased this video is, that isnt sarcasm I genuinely enjoy that this video is clearly your opinion and you dont spend 5 minutes trying to explain how something subjective is actually somehow the one and only truth like some fans. It's refreshing. You also have a lot of takes people would normally disagree with and for reasons that people would normally yell at you for despite those reasons being totally valid because this is... a game, you dont have to like what everyone else likes. This list is different than most of the ones I see on youtube and I'm fully here for it, way more entertaining than most warhammer ranking videos
As a tau player it does hurt sometimes when people say that the tau should never have been put into warhammer but I completely understand where they are coming from when they say that the tau are probably one of the least fun to play against.
To be honest I love me the Tau and their style since it makes sense in a future setting but with the Votann around now their gimmick should be swapped to being the 40k Covenant. We hear the Tau are all about making alliances for the greater good but the only models of these races are Kroot and Vespids (who were introduced in 3rd (with the Tau) and 4th edition retrospectively). There are obviously other races in the lore but would nice to have some more representation in the tabletop.
The Tau (and Necrons) were basically my favourite when I played Dawn of War. So cool and distinct. That novelty's worn off but I still think they have a rightful place in WH40k.
The imperial guard are supposed to be lacking in creativity, they’re a mass production result and the administratum can only produce a limited scope of things which is why their gear all seems like it’s stripped off other existing equipment, because it is. They’re not super soldiers, they’re the Great Value brand equivalent of protection and preferred specifically because of their cost.
As a Maccabian Jannisaries enjoyer, I agree with the Cadians being boring and wanting other regiment support, I gotta 3d print heads just to get that Maccabian Drip
It all started when I was 4... nah seriously though, I just think they're boring most of the time at least compared to how amazing I feel they could be. In order - I think Guards having generic vehicles works for the faction but, GW should do more regiments and give them weird unique vehicles, some kinda spac age 'nam style helicopter for catachans, etc - I think Space Marine vehicles (and custodes) should represent the faction more and, be more ornate, like the sisters tank but, less religious - I resent putting Tau this high but, Kroot are awesome - UNFATHOMABLY BASED PUTTING ORKS AT NUMBER 1 (maybe the reason I don't hate 40k tanks is, I look at each of them and think; 'how can I convert that into an ork vehicle') Great video keep the good work Oh yeah, mechanicus vehicles are pretty goat but, they need more weird techy spider tanks

Personally i just really like to paint them, and they were my first army so i may just be a bit biased, but hey, different tastes for different people, after all i find that in warhammer there's something for everyone which is a nice thing
This ranking was really cool. Glad Necrons got 3rd place at least. I did notice that during the marine chapters ranking that the Blood Angels were left out. A shame.
It's rough to be a Drukhari player during this era in 40k, when almost every army has gotten a new update in models. The Eldar guardians thought to be impossible got a new fresh up, Guardsmen models gotten new stuff, and even World Eaters became there own faction and Votann returned, and heck Tryannids are getting new stuff too, stuff people doubted for ages. Only newest thing I've seen is like a kill team? And maybe charchters while even half of there army list got lobotomized due to GW taking them away on a waiting schedule.
@@FOB777 Goffs but I sometimes run them as Deathskulls. I mostly just use infantry and Squig riders. I don't have enough vehicles or dakka to go Freebooter, Evil Sunz, or Bad Moons.
@@whichDude I’m a BloodAxes enjoyer myself but I adore orks in general. I just really enjoy drab colors on orks and think the lore from the axes is really interesting. The kommandos are some of the coolest models GW has to date imo

@@Noot_Official The Sisters of Battle are older than or the same age as most factions; introduced in 2nd edition. Tau, Necrons, and Dark Eldar off the top of my head are newer, and there's many other factions who existed in concept but didn't have codices until way after the sisters.
As a khorne fan I’m actually pretty happy most of the time. I collect Blood for the blood god skulls for the skull throne with a smile on my face. He cares not from where the blood flows so you can kinda do whatever as long as ur throwing hands. Even if ur blood comes out too khorne will be proud of your work.

Yeah, have to agree with you on a lot of these picks, very good arguments. I don't think chaos demons are that interesting as an army but the great unclean one is the reason I got into painting, it's just the best model GW has to offer imo. So I would probably put Nurgle a little bit higher. Sororitas would go lower (Danny DeVito), same with Chaos space marines (Until GW remasters my beloved Nightlords) and Mechanicus (No reason, just can't connect with them). LoV are mid-tier for me, I love dwarves just don't like the NASA-punk aesthetic. The grim-darker the better, so the only thing I really have to disagree on are Drukhari, easily in my top 5. Also, you're prude man xD The even removed the ni**les on the newer daemonettes of slaanesh, I don't like them because they are... kinda boring? But yeah, I really like all factions, so everything still at least a C+. Very fun video 👍

I love everything imperial personally, but Guard is one of my favourites i collect. Have been ever since i saw the metal kasrkin models in my local toy shop in the late 90’s. Then i read gaunts ghosts book series, and i think that is what really cemented my love of the guard. Highly recommend reading the ghosts series. Interesting characters with diverse personalities, gives a lot of perspective of the universe from a mere mortals perspective and is filled with bad ass battles and shit.
Just finished my third big chaos knight and now this 😱 Na in all honesty you make some fair points. Knights are one thing and one thing only. And if you Love that like me it is fantastic. But for everyone else it has not much going for it.
I really enjoy their models! Wish they would've all been revealed a bit sooner as then I would've been able to throw them in the ranking, but unfortunately I think at the time we were still waiting for the whole range. Tough to say where they'd rank but I think they definitely look great
I absolutely agree with you on genestealers. I personally love them with all my heart but god damn they are a very specific army. If you aren’t a fan of just one of their schtick they just won’t hit that spot. I really dig the mutations side, so I want to emphasize that on my models (I recently grabbed a 1000 point army)

I love the Blood Angels as they are my choice of army, but man do I wish they had a solid centerpiece model. I suppose it doesn't really help with Sanguinius being dead, lol.

I honestly appreciate how biased this video is, that isnt sarcasm I genuinely enjoy that this video is clearly your opinion and you dont spend 5 minutes trying to explain how something subjective is actually somehow the one and only truth like some fans. It's refreshing. You also have a lot of takes people would normally disagree with and for reasons that people would normally yell at you for despite those reasons being totally valid because this is... a game, you dont have to like what everyone else likes. This list is different than most of the ones I see on youtube and I'm fully here for it, way more entertaining than most warhammer ranking videos
As a tau player it does hurt sometimes when people say that the tau should never have been put into warhammer but I completely understand where they are coming from when they say that the tau are probably one of the least fun to play against.
I really like the look of the Tau, I understand some people don't but personally I feel like they fit into the setting just fine
To be honest I love me the Tau and their style since it makes sense in a future setting but with the Votann around now their gimmick should be swapped to being the 40k Covenant. We hear the Tau are all about making alliances for the greater good but the only models of these races are Kroot and Vespids (who were introduced in 3rd (with the Tau) and 4th edition retrospectively). There are obviously other races in the lore but would nice to have some more representation in the tabletop.
The Tau (and Necrons) were basically my favourite when I played Dawn of War. So cool and distinct. That novelty's worn off but I still think they have a rightful place in WH40k.
The imperial guard are supposed to be lacking in creativity, they’re a mass production result and the administratum can only produce a limited scope of things which is why their gear all seems like it’s stripped off other existing equipment, because it is. They’re not super soldiers, they’re the Great Value brand equivalent of protection and preferred specifically because of their cost.
As a Maccabian Jannisaries enjoyer, I agree with the Cadians being boring and wanting other regiment support, I gotta 3d print heads just to get that Maccabian Drip

nah seriously though, I just think they're boring most of the time at least compared to how amazing I feel they could be. To me, spending $60+ on something that looks like any other tabletop game's tank model just doesn't really interest me ya know.

In order
- I think Guards having generic vehicles works for the faction but, GW should do more regiments and give them weird unique vehicles, some kinda spac age 'nam style helicopter for catachans, etc
- I think Space Marine vehicles (and custodes) should represent the faction more and, be more ornate, like the sisters tank but, less religious
- I resent putting Tau this high but, Kroot are awesome
- UNFATHOMABLY BASED PUTTING ORKS AT NUMBER 1 (maybe the reason I don't hate 40k tanks is, I look at each of them and think; 'how can I convert that into an ork vehicle')

Good video Mate, and i honestly gotta say good ranking, i agree with a lot of the points, although i wish the Harlequins would get a little love, from games workshop as well. Personally i just really like to paint them, and they were my first army so i may just be a bit biased, but hey, different tastes for different people, after all i find that in warhammer there's something for everyone which is a nice thing

It's rough to be a Drukhari player during this era in 40k, when almost every army has gotten a new update in models. The Eldar guardians thought to be impossible got a new fresh up, Guardsmen models gotten new stuff, and even World Eaters became there own faction and Votann returned, and heck Tryannids are getting new stuff too, stuff people doubted for ages. Only newest thing I've seen is like a kill team? And maybe charchters while even half of there army list got lobotomized due to GW taking them away on a waiting schedule.

@@whichDude I’m a BloodAxes enjoyer myself but I adore orks in general. I just really enjoy drab colors on orks and think the lore from the axes is really interesting. The kommandos are some of the coolest models GW has to date imo

@@Noot_Official The Sisters of Battle are older than or the same age as most factions; introduced in 2nd edition. Tau, Necrons, and Dark Eldar off the top of my head are newer, and there's many other factions who existed in concept but didn't have codices until way after the sisters.

As a khorne fan I’m actually pretty happy most of the time. I collect Blood for the blood god skulls for the skull throne with a smile on my face. He cares not from where the blood flows so you can kinda do whatever as long as ur throwing hands. Even if ur blood comes out too khorne will be proud of your work.

Yeah, have to agree with you on a lot of these picks, very good arguments. I don't think chaos demons are that interesting as an army but the great unclean one is the reason I got into painting, it's just the best model GW has to offer imo. So I would probably put Nurgle a little bit higher. Sororitas would go lower (Danny DeVito), same with Chaos space marines (Until GW remasters my beloved Nightlords) and Mechanicus (No reason, just can't connect with them). LoV are mid-tier for me, I love dwarves just don't like the NASA-punk aesthetic. The grim-darker the better, so the only thing I really have to disagree on are Drukhari, easily in my top 5. Also, you're prude man xD The even removed the ni**les on the newer daemonettes of slaanesh, I don't like them because they are... kinda boring? But yeah, I really like all factions, so everything still at least a C+. Very fun video 👍

It's just that Slaanesh is about a lot more than just s*x, is also about art, music and drugs and that isn't represented with the minis at all. And those half man half woman crab thingies aren't even that hot, they can't even get that right... Probably the reason it's on the bottom of the chaos demon ranking for a lot of people

I love everything imperial personally, but Guard is one of my favourites i collect. Have been ever since i saw the metal kasrkin models in my local toy shop in the late 90’s.
Then i read gaunts ghosts book series, and i think that is what really cemented my love of the guard. Highly recommend reading the ghosts series. Interesting characters with diverse personalities, gives a lot of perspective of the universe from a mere mortals perspective and is filled with bad ass battles and shit.
I’m perfectly fine with admech in second place and I 100% agree with the criticism you gave you especially on the subject of transports.

I absolutely agree with you on genestealers. I personally love them with all my heart but god damn they are a very specific army. If you aren’t a fan of just one of their schtick they just won’t hit that spot. I really dig the mutations side, so I want to emphasize that on my models (I recently grabbed a 1000 point army)
