  • This is a common problem with automatic climate control. The controls work, but don't blow hot or cold air, so the heater and air conditioner are both useless!

I have an E36 325i Cabriolet (95) with the manual climate control. Would the Digital climate control be a direct swap in or likely not?

I just replaced mine this evening. Sadly I'm still getting no air. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Could this cause the aircon unit area of your dashboard to heat up? I have a 1996 E36 and the aircon area and radio get really hot when I drive... even when the AC and fan are off...

What is that thing inside the vent to the left of the defroster and AC buttons. Looks like a tiny speaker??

The unit pulls in cabin air through those slots using a small fan inside the unit. It then measures the temperature of that air to set the speed of the blower, etc.
