Hello, I have an e36 325tds and in my case the problem is that the front vents work hot and cold on both sides but I can set it in the lowest temp. possible and the air out on the windshield vents will always be the hottest possible. I'm not sure if it's going to be the heater control valve or not 😕

My '98 328is is blowing lukewarm air when A/C is off and temperature is set to 90 degrees. As soon as the A/C is turned on with the temperature still set for 90 degrees, the air becomes completely cold. Would expect it to be mixed with the hot air to the set temperature. Any ideas if this maybe the heater control valve or if it's something else?

Thanks ! 1 year ago my mechanic change it supposedly
Now the third hose the one in the bottom is coming off bc the car is getting too hot !! I’m not sure what it can be but after seeing this video I’m thinking my car never gets a new valve perhaps that’s why is happening

Hello, my heater control valve on e36 keep on ticking even when the car not starting. Is it safe to just unplug the socket to make it unusable? I never needed the heater though.

So I have the problem where my heater works only on the windshield but nothing else. Face vents and feet vents only get cold air even if switches are on hot settings.. does this fix the issue ?

@@scarface1177 my issue wasn’t resolved with the heater control valve. My issue was the center vent that has the master control for air climate wasn’t connected properly. Pulled out my stero and climate control panel to look inside the dash and saw it wasn’t connected properly so i went to connect it and it worked perfectly fine afterwards. From what I learned doing research. Older model E36’s are electric controlled meaning its a connector. Newer E36’s are cable controlled. Mine is a 1994 and it’s electric controlled.

Oh right that makes sense, saying that I put a new head unit in and after that my blowers stopped blowing hot air, maybe its that I have a 98 model. What you reckon

@@scarface1177 i would say go head and go back in there , pull out new head unit and right on top of the head unit bottom of center vent left side there should be a cable looking thingy. Either red or blue color. Make sure its sitting correctly

Where is ihka module located ?

IVE CHANGED IT BUT ITS STAY RUNNING ON AFTER TURNING IT OFF??

Same any luck with anything else? I've recharged my refrigerant, my compressor kicks in only thing I can think of is either the ihka module isn't sending the correct voltage to the heater control valve and causing them not to close letting coolant pass through
