Bought one of these two months ago. Just did a road trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas and back over the 9,945 foot Tioga pass and across Death Valley at -282 feet. Great car, averaged just under 50 mpg and got to watch them implode the Tropicana towers from a block away.

I just got this car back in August and have been getting 51.2 mpg in eco mode. My commute is about 50/50 city and highway so when I'm keeping it to just city I have gotten as high as 52 mpg. In my mind the eco mode has more than enough power for daily driving but its nice to be able to switch to sport when you want and get some real power!
9:43 If it's anything like the accord, since there's no "B" regen braking gear like in the CR-V Hybrid, you should be able to hold the increase regen paddle or the left paddle and a little M will appear next to the drive indicator and it should hold the regen braking at whatever level you set it to. Just little things you happen to learn working at the dealer😁
i asked savagegeese this same question and got a reply back from them saying the same thing; the Civic Hybrid cannot use manual regen on any other mode besides Sport, the Accord and CRV models only get the ability to use manual paddles on normal and eco.
@@savantera8397 I don’t believe that’s right. Regen is available on all Civic Hybrid driving modes. However, if not in Sport mode, regen resets to lowest level when accelerating.
This is the exact Civic I intend to get, so I'm very appreciative of this video. I know a lot of people seem to like the hatch more, but I really like the look of the sedan more.
My current civic gen 8 diesel is 15 years old and I had zero (0) issues. With such great driving dynamics on top of that I will definitely consider to buy the new Civic as well.
I've had my FL4 for 2 years (bought on the 12th Oct 2022) in Europe. I've done 50200mi since then, driven it from one end of Europe to the other and loved it. They provide the Michelin PS4s here. I've averaged 54.7mpg US since I've had the car. Great all rounder.
I really wanted to like this color. In person it is not very exciting. It’s a very dull and muddy looking gray in my opinion. But color is very subjective. I went with the Platinum white pearl. Love this car so much. I actually don’t miss my manual transmission as much as I thought I would.
I took a trip to Colorado this year and took my 19 insight up Pikes peak. Electric power sure was helpful at high altitude, and the regen paddles were awesome on the descent. It took no time to fill up the battery, but that wasn’t an issue. Regen braking still works, but it just uses that energy to spin the gas motor instead of overcharging the battery. The regen wasn’t super strong. The car had to dip in to the mechanical brakes a bit, and they ended up being at 93F at the temp check. The Tesla in front of us hadn’t even touched their brakes. So not perfect, but it performed really well for such a demanding task.

The only issue ive had with my 2025 hybrid is the OE tires lost a substantial amount of tread after only 400 miles. After swapping the contis out for pirellis ride comfort and noise has improved significantly
I've just spent the last two weeks with my new '25 Sport Hybrid Hatchback. Incredible car, great mpg, and loads of storage. Still jealous I didn't stretch for the ST for the Bose System, 9" display, and parking sensors. Everything else is great tho
My buddy owns this exact spec. Helped him find it and he loves it. Not even 1,000 miles yet. Very comfortable, perfect daily. I may get one soon. Deciding between sport and touring hybrid though. Wheels and seats are different, along with infotainment screen and gauge cluster. Decisions.
I did a test drive of the non-touring sport hy-hatch at my local dealer, and I found that up at freeway speeds/60mph, there was a lot of road vibration coming up through the wheels into the seat, like I'd turned on a massage feature or something. Haven't seen anyone mention it in test videos so I'm wondering if it was just the quality of the roads I was on, or if the 18" wheels are less cushioned than I'm used to. Did y'all find any issues like this when testing?

@@オルフェーヴルの夫 Honda's hybrid keeps ev only mode more of the time during city speed, so quieter and responsive. Toyota's hybrid is more efficient above highway speed, but not by a lot, probably 45 vs 50 mpg, and civic comes stock with wider tires with more traction and more rolling resistance

On auto cruise did you adjust the distance from the car in front? there is a button on the steering wheel, I find on one bar it gets pretty close to the car in front.
One thing I wonder about the adaptive cruise control characteristics is if they change depending on the drive mode you're in. I drive a 2017 prius and in eco mode, the ACC is more conservative but in power mode, it's more aggressive
Heated seats have been in the civic for ages. Heated steering wheel is what the Canadians get and we don’t. Also Honda is lame for only having the good OS and wireless CarPlay in the touring trim.
The fuel economy of the Civic Hybrid is all the more outstanding when you consider it has decently beefy 235/40-18 tires. Put some high performance all seasons tires on this Civic and it should be even more fun.
Do you have to jiggle the steering wheel every few seconds when using Lane Keep Assist so that it knows you're holding the steering wheel (like in a Camry), or is the steering wheel able to detect your hand placement without actually having to move the steering wheel?

Not sure about hrv or civic but in the crv and pilot, the top trims have acoustic laminated glass and the noise isolation is really good. I hate that they’re gatekeeping it on the higher trims only
the car “forgetting” your regen braking choice while you’re driving is infuriating. I never used the Brake Hold function in my 10th gen Civic because of the same reason, you’d have to enable it on every drive

They're good cars. The front design is OK. The rear looks exactly like that BMW at 15:09 , or the last few jettas. entirely unremarkable ass. 10th gen had the rear design dialed in in a good unique way.
54k in Australia. Corolla Hybrid starts at 35k and tops out at 42.5k for the hatch and 44k for the sedan. Civic Hybrid is only offered in 1 grade (which is the top spec). Disappointing from Honda Australia and it’s the same story with every Honda hybrid. They’ve priced themselves out of being competitive, they don’t offer much more than Toyota but ask for crazy premiums. There’s better cars out there for the money. Talking about Australia, not the US obviously.

If you hold down on the left paddle, it will lock you into the regen mode in any drive mode.

“Driving impressions” start at 7:20. In was interested in NVH; I’m happy to hear it is somewhat quieter inside.
Despite what the reviewer says, I’m not liking hearing the sound of the engine during acceleration in Normal mode.

i changed my sport touring tires to Michelin all season sport 4 with nitrogen. The difference!!!! i love it.

Its sad that they removed options. My 2024 touring has the rear seats charging port and rear heated seats and spare tire

Older civics also had heated seats btw on the leather trims

For me in our 2021 CRV yes you have to jiggle to re-engage lkas but they may have changed it.
how are your displays so bright in night mode? if I increase the brightness it goes into day mode automatically

I really love the 10th gen Civic but this hybrid seems perfect. No wonky 1.5l GDI/turbo issues, better MPGs, and quieter than other Civics.

@@jackdaniels2905 They probably couldnt agree on terms. The Google is interesting. You get the play store which has Spotify, UA-cam music, Etc. plus it comes with the Navigation and Alexa.

I suspect the car feels underpowered in sustained highway speeds especially with any uphill grade.
They're good cars. The front design is OK. The rear looks exactly like that BMW at 15:09 , or the last few jettas. entirely unremarkable ass. 10th gen had the rear design dialed in in a good unique way.
The only thing is, they got rid of my favorite blue in the sedan 😭 the new blue is just ok lol

54k in Australia. Corolla Hybrid starts at 35k and tops out at 42.5k for the hatch and 44k for the sedan. Civic Hybrid is only offered in 1 grade (which is the top spec). Disappointing from Honda Australia and it’s the same story with every Honda hybrid. They’ve priced themselves out of being competitive, they don’t offer much more than Toyota but ask for crazy premiums. There’s better cars out there for the money. Talking about Australia, not the US obviously.
In Ireland it's €50k. That's Bmw 3 series, Tesla Model 3 and Audi A4 money. Crazy by Honda.
@TheTopher i'm curious why so many car reviews call those thin glove boxes "good sized" i guess you may not have been around in the 70s and 80s when they were humongous lol . All you can store in them now are papers it seems
The hybrid is going to kill the old 1.5 l turbo in urban driving , as far as fuel economy , and be quicker .

@@koenigcertified Not for the 2025 civics. The lower two trims are gas only. Top 2 trims (Sport and Sport Touring) are hybrid.

Shame abt the rear charging ports, esp since the 22-24 Civics DID have them (at least here in Canada... my 22 Civic Hatch ST does)
I wish you could turn off the fake shifting, I'm so tired of it. Almost a complete deal-breaker.
I think it gives the drive train character, unless you want to hear your engine drone the whole time.
