Out of curiosity, did you get the manual transmission? I'm disheartened that Honda will no longer be offering the manual in the Sport. I'll need to either get the SI or look for a used Sport with a manual transmission. I prefer the Sport because I don't want to deal with possible turbo issues down the line or pay for higher insurance.
I agree. Very expensive cars better be excellent. It's not very impressive to me if a vehicle that costs a fortune is also very good. What IS impressive is producing an excellent vehicle at a low price.
A note, as an Accord touring owner with this hybrid, the downshift (regen level lol) paddle will normally reset when you accelerate again in normal drive/econ, but if you HOLD the paddle down for a moment, it'll lock it in place until you turn the car off and on again, just like in Sport mode, even without being in that mode. I discovered this recently, and I assume it's probably the same here.
I honestly wish you could step between six or seven predetermined relationships between ground speed and engine speed with those paddles. The simulated shifts during acceleration are so quick that such a mode would be pretty much indistinguishable from a good automatic with manual shifting mode.

Great review. Instead of the usual specification dump, you guys take us through all of the updates to the chassis, damping etc. I was getting ready for a new Accord Hybrid and then it got uglier than a cold sore. This is awesome!! Will go shopping when the hatchback arrives.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T that's been flawless, but this new Civic is very tempting because of the incredible MPG rating and reasonable price tag. Great video.
I just bought a Sport Touring Hybrid for my everyday commuter car last weekend. I was sold on the test drive. Car has pretty good power and a lot of great options all for $32k. You cannot beat that price for what you get in this car.
Honda engineers are amazing. The Civic VX was the mileage champ in the 90s but was a very basic utilitarian econobox with zero frills. I know as I had one and loved it at the time. The Fit was the next evolution in useful gas sippers, but still very basic and utilitarian (had one of those too). Both the VX and Fit were renown for their reliablity also. It is amazing that we can now have cars that close to 50 mpg (or better in the case of the Kia Niro and Hyundai Elantra HEVs) that also get out of their own way, have power everything, comfortable ride with low HVH, and wonderful safety features. Hybrids are a true win for the auto industry and the consumer!. I currently drive a Kia NIro HEV and it does the job very well.
SavageGeese, I just discovered your channel. This was an amazing, informative fact-based review of this car! I loved the graphics that showed the details (I paused the video to read that content)! You clearly outshine most of the other “opinion only” based reviewers on UA-cam. As the owner of a 2022 Accord Hybrid, it’s terrific to see Honda fully embrace hybrid technology. They are finally seizing the moment and can recognize the direction the automotive world is heading without charging an arm and a leg for their products. In a world full of lumbering, oversized SUVs made by American profit-hungry manufacturers, I’m glad that Honda is making still making reliable, affordable cars!
I clocked the first 0-60 with the stopwatch on my phone, and it was like 6.43 seconds! That's not slow for a hybrid! That would be fun and I just got rid of my 10th gen Si in favor of the new WRX! There's something to be said about a car that just gets you there in comfort. I've been wanting all wheel drive for a while and I was tired of spinning the front tires in ANY condition. My Si was tuned and made a lot of torque down low. This new Civic is pretty sweet! Excellent video!
Yah really, large wheels are trendy but not smart. They're hard riding, more expensive for tire replacement and very prone to wheel damage from potholes.
What better way to start a Monday with a SG video. Awesome camera set up with bokeh effect. Thanks for this review, the civic (to me) is the car for the people.👌
I have a 2023 civic sport touring hatch with the 6 speed manual and I love it. I came from a 2.0T accord and while the 1.5T can't come close to matching the power, I've found in the last year I've owned the civic, that I've had much more fun around town. The Bose stereo sounds great and it's nice to see Honda put their hybrid system into an already great package. If the day comes I ever tire of the manual, I'll be looking at the hybrid for sure.
They are discontinuing the manual in everything but the Si and Type R for the 2025 model year, I believe. The 1.5 liter engine is gone, except in the Si. Not sure if it will continue to see use in Integras for the 2025 model year.
Why did you get rid of the accord? I just got mine 6 months ago w the 2.0t and it's the best thing I've ever driven aside from my father-in-law's Bmw m240i (which is faster and has better gearbox programming), but also double the cost.
@@technopong the accord was a great car but I missed having a manual. I figured the days were numbered as far as getting any new Honda with a manual, aside from the Si and Type R, both of which were hilariously marked up here in central FL. Can’t say I miss the accord as the civic is a decently fun time. I’ve even taken it to cherohala and tail of the dragon and had some good afternoons, both of which I never got to do in the accord.
The hybrid implementation makes sense. Its 75% of the mileage routinely achieved by the Civic VX in the '90's. Well Done, Honda. Aside from that, its a box, but its a good box. Thank you, Dr. Goose.

My wife has a 24 CR-V with the same hybrid drivetrain. I was shocked by how good it is, especially compared to the Toyota and Ford hybrids I’ve previously experienced. Off the line torque and overall power is impressive, gas engine engagement is literally seamless and the brake pedal feel is very natural. Seriously, if you’ve been scared off of other hybrids in the past, give the new Honda’s a try.
Everybody loves the CR-V. I drove the CR-V hybrid, but it wasn't fast enough for me. The civic is a bit faster. I just like the fact the CR-V has more room in it and it corners like a car! I'm sure most average people would be satisfied with it. Very nice SUV. I love the fact the rear seats recline❤
@@alfaromeo2006 Yeah mechanically Ford’s hybrid system is basically a straight copy of Toyota’s. I’m pretty sure Ford did their own software tuning though.
Fantastic review!! This new Honda is just amazing and just what those of us who are tired of SUVs!! Thanks for bringing this to the attention of us weary and wary buyers!!
I was really shocked at how good this generation of civic is, so much so that I bought one. being a toyota fan for so long (and still am) I'm genuinely impressed. I also can't believe that I let an old school port injected k-series engine fly under my radar for so long.... I wound up finding a brand new 2024 sport hatchback 2.0L port injected with the 6MT and am really happy with the purchase. it's a shame both that engine and transmission are discontinued for the 2025 model year.
Commenting to remind myself to buy this in 5 years. (Also, please let me know if yours is available then. Thanks! 😊) Edit: ahh bummer, just learned it's a turbo... So close 😕

this has been such an informative review of this car and I think is exactly what I was looking for. I am heavily considering the Civic Sport Hybrid Hatch as my next car.
I just went to a Honda dealership yesterday and they wanted $5000 over MSRP for it. I keep forgetting that Honda dealerships remain some of the worst sales experiences of any brand out there.
Wait a year for the 2nd model year. The same was happening with the Accord when it came out as there were very few available. I went to the dealership the other day and there were a bunch sitting on the lot and at discounts.
That's so disappointing. I thought supply chain issues were in our rear view by now. Gonna recommend this to my daughter as her first car but if they pull that sh!t I'd recommend she look elsewhere.
Thats a brand problem. Sometimes dumbing it down so much (ecvt) makes it worse. Sell it for what it is. A Hybrid that operates more like an EV with gasoline assist.
Really? Easiest explanation is the gas engine recharges the battery and an electric motor drives the car at City speeds. But when more power is required, like at higher speeds, the gas engine can directly drive the car too.
@@ayushmalpeddi2793 Its a bit more complicated because the gasoline engine engages and disengages via clutch pack to drive wheels but can only do that at certain speeds due to gearing. Other wise it runs to spin the generator to to charge battery or power drive motor. Add the shift effects and it may seem confusing
As the owner of a 2020 Mk4 Jazz (or Fit, in the US) with the same e:HEV design (just a 1.5 instead of 2.0) I can say that the car is brilliant. Plenty of power, steers well and the build quality is amazing. On top of that, it's a 1300kg car that gets a combined fuel consumption of 4.5L/100km.
I wish we still got the Fit here in the US. Seriously underrated for how much room you get in such a little car. I had a 2016 ex manual and it was always in the mid 40s for mpg without being a hybrid.
@@aca2983 the hybrid version of the Civic lineup wont be cheap, futhermore buy the 2005 Elantra with excellent fuel consumption only downside is the CVT.......
This power train in all three Honda offerings is awesome. Had a 24 accord and now a 25 CRV. Both have been so smooth quiet and can easily get their epa mileage or more. I was getting 52mpg in the accord and the CRV with all wheel drive is getting 40+.
I bought one in Sport Touring trim last Friday. On Saturday I did a 360 mile round trip from home to Glacier Point in Yosemite National park and it took 7.28 gallons to fill it up so 49.45 mpg. In other words - they're not lying.
Very good review of what sounds a great car. Regarding the fake shifts, I wish there was simply an on/off switch rather then doing the launch procedure by holding the brake pedal. Having owned a Prius in the past, you do get used to the high whine of the engine and appreciate that the car is giving its all for acceleration, rather than fake shifting the engine (as I now have in my Subaru).
Short and sweet and yet offers way more technical details than other reviews. I agree that Civic did an amazing refresh on this platform that makes it an even better all rounder. Missed your buddy Jack.
That’s why in some Asian countries the Accord has been discontinued altogether. The fact that the price is the same as the accord from years ago doesn’t help either.
Accord is bigger, more refined, has more tech, front ventilated seats, rear A/C vents, heated rear seats, and rear USB ports as well. I would still take the Civic hatch hybrid over the Accord though.
Appreciate all the information on the car. I purchased a 2025 Civic Touring Hybrid Sedan in Solar Silver. Have owned it 3 weeks. Love everything about it. The mileage is awesome. 473 on a little over 3/4th tank.
As another user did, I bought a Civic hatch after watching your multiple reviews of it. With the manual, this is a very fun car to drive. Just got back from a 12 000 km trip transporting 2 inflatable stand up paddles in the trunk (with the seats up!). It's amazing how much room this car has. I need to warn your viewers though : this car has a leaking problem in the hatch. Apparently, I'm far from the only one having that problem (you can easily find videos on that on YT). Honda knows about it but doesn't do much. I happen to know a mecanic and he made some tests and Honda changed the hatch and the car still leaks from the hatch. It's a real shame when you pay so much money for a car.
I bought a 2013 lexus es 300h and basically came to the same conclusion. 40mpg, very comfortable, smooth for the most part (sometimes the gas engine starts rough) but ultimately it's along the same lines as what you're describing here. These kinds of hybrids are the future, and they're easily adaptable to phevs. Companies need to account for the real fact this is simply where the technology is going and the gas engine is no longer going to be primary propulsion
@@sappyjohnson hybrids get 40+ mpg all the time, not just freeway. Idling and acceleration from a dead stop is when gas engines are the least efficient, so having electric AC compressors and using the hybrid drive to assist in acceleration really helps
Get your throttle body cleaned, my 2013 avalon hybrid had the same issue of rough starting from the electric motor and it went away after I got it cleaned! Literally made it smooth as butter
My 2016 Civic Touring sedan just passed 135,000 miles and is still going strong. I can see myself buying this Civic Sport Touring hybrid in a year or two.
@@ryw00d I'm not so convinced of that. We had a guy on site with a Titan and that thing was falling apart, probably a dozen unusual items broken at any given time (I'm talking headrest height change button thing, hood hinge, and other things that I have never heard breaking) and I had a rental Nissan SUV with slipping CVT at only 18k miles. But they are priced ok if you don't drive a lot or keep them too long.
@@randomvideosn0where Thank you sir. Actually recently sold a 2011 Maxima most comfortable car ever because of that! I have 4 Volvos right now (don't ask) and they all sit up high because of the crazy thick side impact bulkhead that goes under the front seats. Safe, but I hate it!
Meanwhile in Europe the dealers are still price gouging if you are lucky to find one, although it was launched only with hybrid engine in 2022. Great car, in spite of the noisy interior and harsher ride according to the owners.
What I heard is that Brexit affected EU market with the closure of the UK plant. Now all EU cars are produced in Japan while US cars are made in US and Canada. The Civic have not been prioritised for the European market, sad as it is. I hope to see more of them. I really liked it during my test drive.
Honestly don't see Civics or any Hondas where I live in Europe. All of their lineup is way overpriced, making them a pointless choice over Toyota, the Germans, and Koreans.
@iulian2548 I don't even understand how people afford europe. I just got back from the Netherlands and the prices of everything even compared to someone living in an expensive ass city (toronto) is insane. Gas is insane, grocery insane, rent insane. Heck salaries are way less than north America yet all I hear people complaining is how downhill canada and the usa have gone. Do you guys just have a completely different lifestyle in Europe?
I am LOVING the updates to the interior shots for the drive segment!! Better light balance between inside and out, wider angle to see more in the frame, but still really good quality.
I have a 2022 Insight Touring and really enjoy driving it. It's just around town stuff, but in the summer with mostly city driving I get 50-55 mpg. It also has the paddles to adjust regen and I use them to attempt to use as little brakes as possible. Anyone looking for an affordable commuter car should definitely go Honda in my opinion. The finish on it is more solid than my Toyota hybrid.
Thank you for talking about the paddle regeneration function. My 2020 Accord Hybrid would not stay in regeneration mode if I accelerated after coasting downhill. I always had to re-engage the paddle for the next downhill coasting. After watching your video I put my Accord in 'sport' mode, and now the paddle stays in place next time I'm coasting downhill. So even though you were talking about the new civic, obviously that sports paddle retention function works the same in the previous generation hybrid Accord.
Just got my 3rd Civic in April - a 2024 Sport Sedan. Obviously not a Hybrid available then but even if it was I'd still get the gas only model. I drive every single day yet only drive about 1,000km (600 miles) a month typically and in the winter a bit less so although the Hybrid would definitely save some gas, the payback wouldn't make sense with my trade in timelines. Having said that, this new Civic is AMAZING! It's such a mature well thought out vehicle. Personally not a fan of all the safety nonsense so have turned off everything but blind spot and forward emergency braking. Other than that it does everything - drives great, looks good in Sport trim (black badges will get put on at my 1st oil change), feels substantial and well built, has some personality. Keep saying to myself while I'm in it - THIS is an economy car? It's just so good! Have a few niggles with it like the sound system isn't as good as in my last Civic, the as mentioned safety nonsense until I got it all deactivated, I'd also say there's probably too much technology on it but that's just the way the market is going unfortunately.
Yeah, I've got a '22 Civic Sport Hatchback with the HPD package, and it's great. It drives well, is quite comfortable, looks good on the interior and exterior, and has really great fuel economy.
If I didn't need to upgrade to a CRV to have enough room for the kids, I'd totally would've upgraded to the hatchback version of this car. Honda did a great job finally bringing us the hybrid version.
@@Eldaino999You're absolutely right. I went ahead and got the hatchback hybrid for myself and left my wife with the CRV! So we both have hybrids now and our own vehicles to commute! Good for if we ever need an extra car we have ample space either way.
Only thing that I dislike really is that Honda still isn't using full LED lighting for everything, & they are using a 100% direct-injection engine instead of a smarter design that uses both direct & port-injection together (which has both performance advantages & a lot less carbon sludge buildup if using "top tier" rated gasoline brands). Even a 100% port-injected engine would have been a better choice IMO to keep carbon sludge from becoming an issue down the road. But, automakers these days only care about the engine for the first 60K or so miles driven & then it is the buyers problem.
@@accordinglyryan You can't get around it in a 100% GDI design, though you can have certain portions of the engine run hotter to help minimize it some. Mazda does that as well. The simple fact is that without port-injection, the cleaning additives in top tier gasoline & such simply cannot physically hit half of what it needs to in the engine to prevent the carbon buildup from happening.
@@oligarchy-usa Yeah I get that, I'm just wondering as to why I never hear about Hondas having DI issues, but BMWs and Volkswagens are terrible about it lol
CAFE regs are what push manufacturers to direct injection, since it's more efficient. I have no doubt that Honda would continue using a port injected K-series forever if regulations permitted them to.
I remember that when the 8th gen was launched there were complains about the quality control of the cars built at the Swindon plant. Maybe now that the cars are once again imported from Japan we get the same legendary Japanese build quality :D Well, it doesn't come cheap :D
@@juho984 The main reason it was closed was Honda's tiny market share in Europe which has been falling for some time. The plan to switch to more expensive hybrid systems in the Jazz.,Civic and CR-V meant the investment to switch the lines over in the UK was never going to work. Toyota and Nissan have plants in the UK .
Thank you for this detailed review. My oldest son is looking at getting the Touring Hybrid. At the dealership, the salesman was nice but knew next to nothing about the Hybrid setup.
I really would like this car. In particular, the top trim, in red. I see nothing to fault this vehicle for and I feel like I could drive it for 10 years easily.
@@mitchellsteindlerthe difference in high way fuel economy between a 1.5T civic/accord and Hybrid civic/accord is almost nothing. Sometimes the gas engines do better because Hondas hybrid system aren't as efficient as higher speeds like Toyotas. Mild hybrid pretty much will boost fuel economy to the highway mpg of most ICE cars. For example the new inline 6 turbocharged 340hp CX-90 which weighs 5000lbs and has AWD can get 24-25mpg combined even though all it has is a mild hybrid. For reference a 2.4l N/A hybrid Highlander AWD gets 34mpg and a V6 Pilot AWD gets 20mpg. Mild hybrids are a great in between. You maintain the driving dynamics, feel, and performance of a gas car while getting city mpg equivalent to your cars highway mpg with no hybrid.
I'm still flogging my 2004 Civic LX down the road. With 340,000 miles on it, I feel like I should apologize to it every time I start the engine. Hondas are fantastic.
Super nice car. Test drove a sport touring sedan today and loved it. I’m considering trading my electric car (VW ID.4) in for it - electric infrastructure is not ready. This hybrid is amazing and I was impressed on the test drive and the sound system was brilliant! Thanks for this review it even furthered my interest in owning one ;) last civic I had was a 2012 LX coupe with over 120k on it and that thing was solid until someone Tboned me and even then they said it could be fixed but I chose not too - I felt bad about harming another civic lol but yes I’m thinking it’s time again!
The base model Toyota Camry is also a hybrid, cheaper, bigger, and more efficient. Being that both the Civic and Camry are both economy cars, sales wise the Camry will blow the Civic out the water.
I recently bought a Kia Niro SX 2024 Hybrid. I had no idea this was coming out. While the Niro hybrid has way less power (139 HP @ 5700 HP) it gives 55 to 60 mpg at city traffic. The efficiency of these new gen hybrids are really something. on most days when i am driving to drop my kid off at day care (10-15 mins drive) the Engine is on just for a minute or two at most. Also, that car in sport mode is really fun as well, especially of the signal.
Just needs a manual. On a side note, I ve been looking at Civic's and found out you can't buy the base 2.0 liter with a manual, you need to step up to the Civic Si with the 1.5 turbo and about 10 grand more . I just want a basic 2.0 liter non turbo long lasting engine without a CVT.
@pabo8080 you might still get lucky and find a leftover. I just bought a 2024 2.0L K20C2 6MT hatchback brand new, there's still a few leftovers floating around and getting delivered to dealer lots. you just really gotta look hard and get lucky. and if not, there's always carmax. it's a great car, definitely reccomend it.
If Mark likes it, it is good enough for me. I drove a hatchback and loved it, ordered one in boost blue. Shop around, I found their are some dealers giving discounts.
If only it actually crashed well. It's really disappointing this new Civic fails to be even a top safety pick by the IIHS when the new accord is a Top Safety Pick Plus.
I'm not sure of the details of the civic, but there are very specific stipulations that can prevent cars that protect you extremely well in crashes from being top picks. For example lacking certain electronic features.
This is my only gripe and I hate that Honda is indulging in this. You used to be able to get them on the touring but now that all the ones worth getting are close to 30k, if should be standard. My gti, which is a slightly smaller car, has them and it’s a base model that’s 10 years old.
I don't understand this rear air vent obsession in small and regular sized cars some people have. None of my cars have ever had them and I've never had any issues with regulating temperature in the cabin. I've also never had any rear passengers mention anything. I live in Florida, so I would've noticed. I get that sort of complaint in big ass three row SUVs, but not a Civic.
Test drove this and the accord yesterday. These might be some of the most solid cars ive ever driven and ive owned millions in cars. Got a ctsv but i want a new daily amd this civic hybrid is a tank

Caranddriver got 6.2 so yeah 6.4-5 sounds about right. Low 6s is achievable. Remember though at higher speeds the car loses power quite a bit
That's not slow at all. In fact, that's about the same 0-60 a 2004 Civic Type R could run.
It’s also faster to 60mph than the 2025 civic Si.
Have you heard it accelerating? ua-cam.com/users/shortsY8MzpLb47MM. Worst sound I've ever heard a car make.
This car needs 17 inch wheels as an option. 18's with low-profile tires make for a rougher, noisier ride. Who wants that on an economy car?
I agree 100%!
Foreal
Once you tune both, they are similar in power. My 16' cvt has has no issues now at 138k. Bought used at 39k.
1.5 is garbage
The hybrid implementation makes sense. Its 75% of the mileage routinely achieved by the Civic VX in the '90's. Well Done, Honda.
Aside from that, its a box, but its a good box.
Thank you, Dr. Goose.
Such a better car than the vx
My family had '82 and '83 Civic 1300FE's, the mileage champ of it's day. I haven't had a Honda since 91, but this could be the one.

Off the line torque and overall power is impressive, gas engine engagement is literally seamless and the brake pedal feel is very natural. Seriously, if you’ve been scared off of other hybrids in the past, give the new Honda’s a try.
My brother in law has a 24 CRV hybrid as well. The hybrid system really eliminates all of the misery of most cars in that segment.
at least a few years ago, ford hybrid system is actually a licensed version of toyota's system.
Everybody loves the CR-V. I drove the CR-V hybrid, but it wasn't fast enough for me. The civic is a bit faster. I just like the fact the CR-V has more room in it and it corners like a car! Finally get a clear explanation of this hybrid. Everyone seemed so confused with the accord hybrid lol.
The civic is a great everyday car. I have a 2025 sport/non hybrid and love it. Drives well, comfortable, good easy to use tech, good gas economy.

New shots are great, really love the different POVs. Good work as always.
You never really hear about carbon buildup issues with Hondas unlike other makes, for some reason. No idea why/how they managed to avoid it
@@accordinglyryan You can't get around it in a 100% GDI design, though you can have certain portions of the engine run hotter to help minimize it some.
Port injection is not possible due to its Atkinson cycle with valve interference. This engine is truly energy efficient.
We just got one and love it. It’s smooth, quick, quiet, and of course, it has GREAT gas mileage.
Why are this so expensive in Europe, Hybrid with this trim costs like 40k euros, which is 44-5k USD, start price of Hybrid is 37k Euros.

A hybrid maverick is way more usable for less money. "Best" is a tough call.
I feel that the Ford will not age gracefully whereas the Honda... will.

Thank you for this detailed review. My oldest son is looking at getting the Touring Hybrid. At the dealership, the salesman was nice but knew next to nothing about the Hybrid setup.
1:30 Opeth that's right baby !!!! \m/
Zenith Passage during the drive review 🤘🏻
I'm glad I'm not the only one that always look to see what he's listening. Saw The Faceless one time.
I really would like this car. In particular, the top trim, in red. I see nothing to fault this vehicle for and I feel like I could drive it for 10 years easily.
If only Mazda would release a mild hybrid 3… they’d have more of my money
It already has SkyActiv
Mild hybrid... why? You just want really good auto start stop?
Mazda 3 already is a mild hybrid.
@@s4nder86Maybe in international markets but not in North America.
Love the focus on the road on the shots from the rear, been waiting for this review
I'm still flogging my 2004 Civic LX down the road. With 340,000 miles on it, I feel like I should apologize to it every time I start the engine. Hondas are fantastic.
Best review of the 2025 Civic hybrid I have seen!
I just want a basic 2.0 liter non turbo long lasting engine without a CVT.
that was available in the previous model years.
@@erikmckenna3583 Yes it was, unfortunately not any more.
I don't like the previous generations styling and I don't fit in them as comfortably. I m too tall for the previous gen.
Exact car I have. K20C2 with the 6spd. It’s nice for sure, port injected even so no worries of carbon buildup
I've been waiting for the hatchback hybrid since they launched in Europe, and I'm glad I won't have to wait much longer!
i would pick the Accord. it more larger
camry same price as this
If they had the 2.0 still I’d consider the accord
If Mark likes it, it is good enough for me. I drove a hatchback and loved it, ordered one in boost blue. Shop around, I found their are some dealers giving discounts.
If only it actually crashed well. It's really disappointing this new Civic fails to be even a top safety pick by the IIHS when the new accord is a Top Safety Pick Plus.
I'm not sure of the details of the civic, but there are very specific stipulations that can prevent cars that protect you extremely well in crashes from being top picks. For example lacking certain electronic features.
@@mitchellsteindler It doesn't get good ratings for the updated side impact to start.
@@MBisFrenchy hmm yeah...that's tough. I mainly blame truck drivers, not the civic. But it is what it is.
I've been WAITING for this review!
No rear air vents at any price point is ridiculous
This is my only gripe and I hate that Honda is indulging in this. You used to be able to get them on the touring but now that all the ones worth getting are close to 30k, if should be standard.
My gti, which is a slightly smaller car, has them and it’s a base model that’s 10 years old.
Seems like a need if you have a baby
My 22 civic barely blows AC as it is, doubt it could support more vents. AC is frosty cold but it's a weak fan..
I have a new Accord hybrid sport l. No rear vents and believe or not I have no issues with cooling the car in 90 plus temps
