Very helpful tips, thank you! I was wondering if you have any idea how to completely remove LG channels? We ended up locking all of them, which still produces an obnoxious start screen every time we turn the TV on, because the kids would start up the TV and end up on something inappropriate. I purely use the TV with apps, no cable or HDMI devices. Cheers.

You are absolutely correct about that don't experiment and destroy your TV.
Cleaning your TV screen on a regular basis can also make the content you watch look better if your TV is dusty or is smeared with finger prints and greasy spots.
Some handy tips though most I did already know having had my C1 since the Summer! One thing that was reassuring however was your cleaning guide, I had been scared off using my Tft screen cleaner but now feel safe to use it again! I had used it for years on my old Sony and had always kept the screen in A1 condition :)
I haven’t even removed the screen protector that comes when you unbox it 😂

Thank you Thank you Thank you, I haven't tested it yet but I think you solved my problem of having to get out the LG Remote when using my Dish remote to turn on the TV. It wouldn't automatically go to the correct input without sitting on the app screen for a full minute before showing the programs.
Very helpful tips. Just bought the C1 and it's scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. You took some of the mystery out of the whole color gamut setting on the hidden menu as well. I will try with both auto and BT1220 to see which one I like better.,

May I ask, have you ever covered recording via USB? I've been experimenting with my new 32" LG and whilst it records ok while the TV is on, it wont on standby, which is not an option for a bedroom TV. I tried turning the screen off via the settings menu, but the reminder powered the screen up!
Great stuff. Big concern, how do I get my new magic remote to control my DirecTV box. Seems like a long standing issue. Waste of a new remote to have to use the Directv unit remote.

I bought an lg recently and I wanted to know a few things including how to clean the screen so this was very helpful and easily the best one out there but I have one thing I wanted to do which I don't think is possible but if anyone knows you would I suspect
When you are looking at a description of a programme the text is very small and my wife finds it difficult to read viewing from about 7/8ft is there a way to increase the size of this text . hope you have an answer as she can't be the only one struggling,thanks again

Yes brillo pad is perfectly satisfactory to use on your OLED. Also, use a premium cleaner like Pledge or windex. A micro cloth would be best...

Greetings. All great info. I have a question. I have my LG connected to my home network via Ethernet. I have a PC in our movie room which has two hard drives. On for the OS and apps, and a second one for all movies we have. How would I access the drive with all movies on it? If I press the input button on the remote, I am able to see the PC, but not the drive with all the movies. I have set up the hard drive to be share on the net work. I am using the LG 55" smart TV for my flight simulator. I also use a touch screen 22" monitor for the aircraft flight instruments. My problem is that windows11 does not recognize my 22" touch screen when trying to calibrate it. Windows says, this monitor is not a touch screen . Is there a way to turn off or delete any touch or other features that would interfere with the calibration?

On the logo removal hidden menu, You have the Auto power Sync option turned on, it is greyed out on mine, what does it do and how to use it ?
How can I play a slide show from a thumb drive and play music from my iPhone at the same time. I have done it before but now for some reason when I play music via Bluetooth it plays but the slide show goes away and shows a black screen with the music info. Hope you can help.

Hi there...thanx for the tips and tricks, very helpful. Just a little correction if I may - you've got 35 Megabits with the cable, not Megabytes. In general divide 35 by 9 and you will receive the value in Megabytes.

ok, we have a 65” lg tv , we have had it for several years, at least 5-7 years, we never before had to agree to any terms on it. it has been connected to a fire stick and a surround system. all of a sudden, today, it started popping up the user agreement window and asking us to agree to all their terms, no opt out option. we keep closing the window without agreeing and it keeps popping up while watching tv, very annoying. do you know how to keep this from happening? we dont want to agree to any terms. we have had it for so long, why all of a sudden is it doing this? hope you can help

Some really excellent tips, thank you. Question: I have an external USB drive containing a lot of my media plugged into the USB socket on my LG B1. I then use media player to play it. I also have a wired LAN connection to the TV from my router. Is there a way to transfer media files from my Windows PC via the LAN connection, to the USB drive plugged into the TV?

I know you said it but I wanted to emphasize: Never spray liquid on the screen itself. It can drip down into the bezel. Only took a few drops to ruin my last 70“ LCD TV.

I really wish you could’ve included tips and tricks for LG NanoCell tv’s cause I just got me a Nano75 50” and it’s a beast of a tv. My Series X games looks so beautiful while playing games like Halo Infinite and COD and other games that can get really bright, the only thing is my tv doesn’t support VRR but so far I haven’t needed it cause I haven’t been having any screen tearing.

Is there a way to disable all the "smart" functions of the TV and only see the terrestrial linear channels? This is for eldery people. I do not want pop-ups appearing, system updates, cookies permissions,, text messages alerts, apps, netflix, youtube apps, splash screens full of menus, floating pointers, navigation bars... Nothing that distracts and needs to take action from the viewer. I tried disconnecting the wifi/ethernet but still some "smart" things appear. I basically want my 2023 TV behave like a 2008 TV showing only the digitalTV channels, volume up/down and nothing more. Is that possible? Thanks.

Interesting, I clean my screen about once a year. Even then there's next to nothing to remove on the screen. But then again, besides the installation of a TV, I touch the screen only once a year, and that's to clean it.

I had same doubt, but the best way I found to solve it was using the quick access menu as shown in the video 5:15 You can assign channels from aerial tv and Satellite to numbers and it will toggle between them. I hope it helps! 😊

I've always cleaned my oled screen with just a microfiber cloth & I also breath on my oled screen where there is a dirty screen. It works so much better than those sprays you actually buy! Plus its absolutely FREE!!! Also it won't damage your oled panel. I also clean my screen every week. 👍🏼

I think the back button will go to the previous channel - it will cycle between the two. If I remember rightly.

Thanks for the tips - especially about cleaning. I've seen this 1113111 code to bring up HDMI signalling override mentioned on a number of videos about LG C1 TVs, but whenever I try it nothing happens. Any ideas?
These tips work on my LG TV as well and it's not a C1.
What TV do you have? Make sure you have 'select mode' highlighted. If you have managed to get into the hidden menu but you see no change then just a reminder that this is for the HDMI inputs only and will not change anything if watching other programs through apps on TV like Netflix, Disney +.........or the DTV itself.

Yes it will. You definitely NEED TO REMOVE THAT PLASTIC SCREEN PROTECTOR! Straight away. Because your screen will over heat in usage. You're not ment to keep that screen protector on. Remove it straight away. Trust me. Goodluck 👍🏼 There's also one on the back of the C1 aswel. Remove them both.

You can even more improve your internet speed by buying a usb-ethernet dongle and plug it in one of the C1 usb ports but then you will also need to change your actual internet provider service to a faster speed.
