Thank you for this Video. From watching this, I can now cast my Phone to my TV. Great stuff 👍 😀
Got to say you helped me upgrade from a Sony XH90 to this LG C1 and I'm absolutely chuffed to bits. Best TV I have ever owned!
I like you videos because they are informative. They share with us with information that we can actually use. Technical details are nice for understanding how things work and why but also need to know how to use our devices. Much appreciated.
That first tip is life changing big fella! This will be very helpful for watching TV downstairs when the wifey is asleep. Or when I am cooking in the kitchen, and still trying to watch television. I no longer have to blast the TV to hear it because of the distance. And small critique, ThinQ is pronounced, "Think."
Thanks Paul always appreciate your top tips and tricks, and all the videos you post. Happy New Year to you and your family.
I no longer need a Bluetooth adapter which I would previously need to hear audio from my PS5 to my AirPods when playing on my C1!!! Amazing!! Thank you for this!!!!
How cool is that? Very cool! Thanks Paul!
Thank you, will do this with my brand new LG C1 🤤❤️
Happy New Year 🥳
Just ordered my LG TV and this is awesome. Thank you so much! Subbed.
Wow 👌just incredible. I bet many people wouldn't know that. Thanks heaps.
Videos like this is why I subscribed.
Thanks mate.
I love the LGTV4K+ community. So helpful!
We aim to please,EVERYONE 😁
Ok this is awesome! Will definitely be doing this!
Wow, that's amazing. Great video
I didn’t know this, great feature. Not sure how much I’d use it but I really like things like this. Doesn’t seem to be as simple on an iPhone, the nfc won’t trigger anything unless you select nfc from control centre, then it just opens up the ThinQ app, once you’re in the ThinQ app you can select to have the TV audio come from your phone. Looks a lot more convenient on an android.
That’s a security feature. Apple secures your phone more than android
Yeah, it doesn't work on iphone.
Terrific. Thanks for this. 🙂
Thanks kind sir for the info, i'm enjoying this feature
As a retired electronics engineer, I do tend to explore the options more thoroughly than many. I often cast UA-cam from my phone to the TV or listen over Bluetooth that reverts to the TV's speakers instead of the optical out after use which is annoying! The Think app will turn on the TV from standby but the paid-for "LG Remote" app doesn't though it does a lot more. My firmware is now on 03.21.05. Alexa works well but I have voice recognition turned off on the TV 'cos it was triggering itself!
I do the same and mine switches to HDMI a lot and I have to put it back to optical
Do you have to pay for the Alexa? It was free for a while on my 2019 model LG but not anymore. TIA!
@@joebiggs4387 - I've had the puck-shaped Amazon Echo for a lot longer than the LG that I bought in April 2022.
@@paulbusby2013 Oh OK I see. Thanks for your reply.
@@paulbusby2013 are you a time traveler? Or just made a typo with the year? Which LG oled did you buy??
As ever really informed and useful. I wonder if it'll work with my three year old LG OLED? Assuming I buy a new Magic Remote, that is. Keep up the great work feller
Cool feature, great tip 👍🏻
Thank you for your great work.
You're right Paul would never have known this, keep up the good work Genius, (my new C1 48 is absolutely amazing all you're reviews are spot on).👍😑
Glad to help!
I have also LG C1 Amazing
Thanks Paul this information is so rare
I really like this guy. Love his enthusiasm. Glad he was in my recommend, I’m subbing!!
Thanks very much for the sub buddy 👍🙂
Yeah he is awesome. Kind and all..A real great Good guy 👍
Me too. That person might be a good and friendly. I want to drink a beer with him ;)
Thank Paul 😎 great content as usual I didn't know that I have that app already on my phone as I mainly yous it watching films at night with my earphones in at the minute I'm catching up watching breaking bad now that's a program you can't stop watching 😯🇬🇧👍
Great little trick... not unless one has got high-end stereo speakers! Never mind, I'm going to give you a thumbs up knowing the algorithm will more and likely send me one of your more practical tricks next time!
That is actually very useful. Let’s say you want to watch tv at night and you don’t have a wireless headset. You can use this feature to get the TVs sound to your phone and connect your wired headphones and listen from it.
Definitely on your way to 100k. Great info as per usual.
This is awesome! Thanks.
Good Evening Thanks Man!
I wonder if these nfc features will work if you get this new remote for the CX?
Just bought an LG LC2. Going to try this when I get home!
Worked it? ^^
Awesome tip, I didn't know about this and will definitely use it. Also, I have the same TV, same phone and same wall clock as you, love the sweeping second hand.
I could see this feature useful for the hearing impaired. Not sure if this is possible, but is there a way to have audio streaming simultaneously to your phone and the TV? Is the audio streaming to your phone using WIFi? If this could work, each person could control volume independently. There might also be a way to use Bluetooth. I had a cable box once that could play audio on headphones and still broadcast through the TV speakers. Better than spending hundreds on a specialized adapter. Unsure if it will work on this TV.
Although the person can also simply connect headphones directly to the tv via Bluetooth and listen to both tv and headphones… 🎧
Got LG G1 55 and loving thus feature
That is a really fudging cool feature 😎. Thanks Brochacho 😊 🙏 👍
I knew that the LG Magic remote supports NFC but I never looked up what is the function used for in a remote. Many thanks for demonstrating the usage of this function.
No worries
Thanks for sharing that trick, I knew nothing about it works perfectly.
Would those NFC commands of this new magic remote - once separately bought - also work with my 2019 LG OLED?
Awesome! Thank you
Thanks so much ..!! You are à beast tip Man 🤩🤩
Wow, amazing. Ty
Mennn Thanks a lot i just install the LG think app on my One Plus pro 8 cellphone and i can control the whole tv settings urraa Keep up the good work thanks buddy 😍 appreciate
Happy I could help
so great! tyvm!!!
Alright, that is a cool trick, and this guy is fun to watch.
Thanks 👍🙂

LG C1 just Amazing
That is a cool trick Paul I had a question my lg c1 just got a new update I didn't install it yet was wondering if you know anything bout it its 3.25.10
Good afternoon brotha hope all is well and Happy New Years and love your videos bro keep them coming💪🏻 also I have a real quick question it may be a dumb question but I just bought an LG C1 tv and just installed it yesterday and when I turn off my tv with the controller pressing the red button last night the red light came on on the middle of the tv same as my LG CX but after a couple of minutes I heard a click sound and the red light went off and it never came back on like my CX that’s always on when the tv is off is that normal or is there something I have to do?? The tv turns on perfectly fine and off but the red light never came back on when I turn it off and I just want to make sure that without the red light on it’s still doing it’s job every 4hrs refreshing the pixels so there won’t be any burn ins and that’s just my concern at the moment and thank you for your time and God Bless🙏🏻
Hi mate,
Happy New Year to you too.
It's nice to receive some positive comments,as today I've some really abuse ones.
Anyway, the click after a few minutes could just be the TV powering down after the automatic pixel refresher, but that said it is odd that the red light went out and now doesn't work.
What I would suggest is to see if it has been shut off in the settings.
So what you need to do is go - main settings
General
System
Additional Settings
Standby Light
See if that is checked on or off
Let me know how you get on mate 🙂
@@TheTechGiantUA-cam thank you for the quick response I really appreciated and yes it was turn off so I did what you told me and turn the setting on👍🏻 thank you for your help much appreciated🙏🏻 I was getting worried something was wrong.
Also for those negative comments don’t even pay attention to them just keep your head up and keep pushing forward and keep on working brotha👊🏻 and always remember you can’t make everyone happy there’s always going to be negative people out there unfortunately and also take care bro🙏🏻
Inbetween protein meals, TV tinkering, and vest flexing, Paul enjoys episodes of button moon. Facts 👍🏻
Hey Tech Giant appreciate your videos! Quick question, when you had your oled panel replaced, are the watch hours reset? Was the panel brand new or refurbished? How does that work because Im about to have the same thing dont to mine today early morning yikes!
Unfortunately I'm unable to say as here in the UK we can't officially access the screen on time in the menus.
I bought a remote that allowed me to get into the factory settings and let me view the total watch time. Also ive noticed some dead pixels on my lg cx, how do i go about getting it sorted?
You can reset the TV and view the hours elapsed via the service menu with a service remote, visiting a site in WebOS, IR blaster, or color control application for windows.
However, this may void your warranty accessing the service menu so please be warned it is for people who know what they are doing/ LG technicians.
Thanks it works :)
I just tried it cheers not sure if i will use it but pretty cool 👌
Thanks for all your great videos sir! I bought a C1 a month ago or so and I'm starting to get some static hissing noise briefly when I turn on the tv only on occasion. I tried doing channel tuning like some videos suggest, but it continues. Have you heard of this issue before? Or from other users! Thank you!
I had a C1 15 days ago, what is your daily activity sir?
Get a soundbar to solve that issue
I don't know if you want to hear this but I experienced a hissing noise on my old LG E8 OLED TV, after reaching out to customer service and many back and for emails they eventually sent out fault finders and said the fault was due to a broken down motherboard! Well anyway the E8 was discontinued so they eventually offered me a replacement. I paid a little extra and purchased the LG GX OLED.
At least contact customer services for if anything just to make them aware and if the worst comes to worst you've at least got the ball rolling!
Btw never mind a soundbar I had a home theatre system Hooked Up and I was still experiencing the hissing noise...

@@awwbollocksthen1359 Thanks for your reply. Was yours always hissing or just for a few seconds when you turned it on? Mine only does this rarely now and I believe the sound does come from the speakers only when I turn it on for a couple seconds sometimes.
@@HairyWafflesTV my hissing noise was also happening intermittently! Well I say hissing noise, when it did occur it was more of a continuous high-pitched noise. Very subtle but very annoying. Does the unwanted noise still occur when the TV is on mute?
Wow so buzzing about this. ……can nip to the toilet whilst still listening to a podcast 😂
That's pretty cool.
What are your thoughts on the new QD-OLEDs
Thanks I was wondering why LG doesn't have this Private listening mode like my 3 years old samsung tv, bit niche if I have to scan my remote everytime for it, gonna test in morning.
Hey Paul, could I control two LG OLED C1 separately at the same room by using that LG thinQ app? Thanks
Good question.
I can't say for sure, but I suspect that you can as you would register each TV separately on the app
Unfortunately, not all 2021 magic remote models have NFC. Mine, doesn't have.
Mine doesn't either.
But there is a phone mirror icon on the top right corner of the tv controls screen next to the search icon that lets you do the exact same thing 😁👍
What model do you guys have? 🤔✌️
@@DubHead69420 I have the LG C1
@@marvinramos5572, alright, I got the B1. Do you know if it's possible run the sound through a phone, without NFC? 🤔
@@marvinramos5572, nevermind, I've found out that it's possible. ✌️
Nice little trick! What is the sound like on the G1? I’m looking at getting one myself but sometimes I struggle to hear people speaking on certain shows if there other music or stuff going on.
I live my G1. I actually returned my GX that I bought a week before. The sound and brightness are amazing.
@@stever5122 Hi,
and what did you think about the colorimetry ?
for my part, on C1 and G1 I absolutely did not like, I found the colors, bland, sad big lack of punch.
nothing to see at the time of what the C9 did! since 2020 with the C10, LG disappoints more and more here in my area...
@@geraltyen9847 I've always been under the illusion as far as the visuals are concerned the C series and the G Series are exactly the same!
AMAZING TV!! WOW! Thanks big guy I'm picking one of these beautiful LG tv's soon. (Oh yeah and you got a new sub)
Thanks for the sub mate.
Enjoy the new TV!
@@TheTechGiantUA-cam actually after showing the screen bloom I'm not set on this TV just yet. Ty tho, cheers
Love your wall
Now that's a useful video
I own LG Gx, it’s less than a year old, is upgrading to G1 worth it or should just keep my GX?
When you stream sound from the tv to your phone, does it play on headphones connected via Bluetooth to your phone? Or even better is it possible to connect a Bluetooth headphone directly to an LG c- or g-model?
Yes you can connect Bluetooth headphones to the phone when streaming sound from the TV.
And yes you can directly connect Bluetooth headphones to the TV directly.
The advantage of streaming to the phone is you can also use wired headphones
Geile Sache danke 👍
Cx has new update??? Or have i missed it? Been doing some tv swapping around today so now my cx is my main tv hurrah!
Hey can you connect the new controller to older lg oled TVs? Obviously i the older magic remote, but it’s died.
Well done sir
Hi Paul, best wishes 2022 🎉
Sorry to ask my question here, but for a while I've been wanting to know if you would ever test the Sony A90j?
I took my LG C1 65 back to the store this morning so disappointed with it and came home with the Sony,
it's great, I love it ❤️❤️
Got an A90j here right now.
Videos will up in the next few days 🙂
@@TheTechGiantUA-cam great, I won't miss it 👍
Why were you disappointed with the c1?
I've just ordered a cx but curious to see what a real world user finds problematic with a similar machine
Maybe the aggressive ASBL of I had to hazard a guess.
It's such a stupid "feature" IMO being dumb enough to dim an already dark screen.
If you don't know ASBL is auto static logo brightness limiter (I think) which will dim a dark scene if present for prolonged periods in certain content thinking a scene is static/ has a static logo present.
Some people complain about ABL which can dim a bright screen too (auto brightness limiter I think).
If* I had to hazard a guess...
Can you program the magic remote to open and close a 4K players disc drawer?
so does the G1 only have this nfc magic remote cuz my C1’s remote doesn’t have that N logo at the bottom like the one he’s using.
mate do you have a review of the 65up7750 tv? I am struggling to find a video in english.
Wow ils so cool
I like this feature quite a lot. Question: New magic remote as in sold separately or comes with the current generation OLEDs? I am asking because I will be purchasing a TV in the coming weeks and I'd like to have all my ducks in a row.
Comes with all new gen lg oled and nanocell tvs I believe
@@StickmanVenomCookie Nice.
Not all , mine was manufactured in 11/21 and doesn’t come with it
Works great with my bose nc500 headset.
You're genius!
Your patient and thorough demonstrations are really appreciated. Oh, and keep pumping that iron, ha, ha.
Hi Tech Giant
Love your channel and settings for LG 65 in. oled tv
Have MY c9 65 inch for 2 years now ,going great except now all of a sudden voice recognition does not work on my magic remote.
Tried to reboot and back to factory settings and it worked for 3 days but then it stop working again no voice recognition, but everything else works fine
Now an update has arrived ver.05.25.09 and with this new version ýou have to choose which voice assistant you want ,LG thin q or Google assistant, which ever I choose voice recognition tells me language does not match MY tv language select
I Do not understand this since both languages chosen are English Canadian
Do you know if this is a general problem with magic remotes or web is problem
I have bought a new remote to see if remote is the problem ,but same result ,voice recognition does not work and before used to give me a message " Voice recognition will be available shortly"
Heĺp😧
I have an older OLED 55c6p from like 2016 and my remote just died. What remote should i get for best features?
Can you help me figure out how to get my tv to startup on live tv every time? I want to use it as an alarm
Subbed bro, please do some more cool C1 features / tips / tricks / best settings!
Thanks for the sub 🙂👍
That's quite cool but I don't know when or why this would come in use? Makes sense to transfer the game or film itself from one to another but just transferring the audio?
😲
Hello, I own a cx. Can i get this new remote and how do I get it?? Thank you
Can that remote control get separately and use with older models like B9 oled?
Unfortunately it won't work properly
Had the same question
Hi, i bought a LG C2 65inch we excess into gallery mode. But the photo do not have any frame border like you shown on your video. Why is that so.
Did you know how to on subtitle movie connected to pc via lan (utp cable)? When i use remote mic to turn on subtitle, it says feature not available😅 -UN8000 lg 55 inch here
Is this possible with CX if i get this new remote?

How can I control my tv with my voice while on the thinq app? The microphone button works but when I give a command like open UA-cam it s just giving me results of UA-cam.
Any tips for the lg cx 65
When will it be a back lit remote, my third LG and waiting.. the volume down keeps hitting the home button in the dark Bedroom TV so annoying.. No Option to buy a remote for it that is backlit?

Pls make a vdo on how to connect the tv to a speaker via bluetooth. Well it gets connected and the audio plays on the speaker but somehow it also plays on the tv as well. How cn it be played only on the speaker via bluetooth??
U enabled everything. Got a Samsung galaxy and the g1 TV. Remote has the nfc logo but unfortunately I can't get it to work somehow. It does nothing when I swipe the phone. Nfc is of course enabled
Wow,I had no idea about the NFC feature
Only with the newer remote? Or does 2020 works to?
